I've Missed You All

Okay... where to start? I guess I should start by apologising for my very sudden and unexplained absence, where I stopped managing my union and posting in the other unions I was a member of and stayed offline for months without posting anything and that, I am sorry for . I won't go into the reasons for my departure, but lets just say I was going through a difficult time and I wasn't able to do some of the stuff I usually would have done (posting on Gamespotfor instance).

I have also gotten aroundto deleting my union, which I found in disrepair after my long absence (and it wasn't exactly brilliant before I left ) so sorry to those that were still members.

Anyway lets get down to why i've suddenly decided to come back and write this. I will be returning to gamespot soon with a new profile, hopefully within the next few days, heck I might even do it tonight if I feel like it , so I will be back posting in all my old unions under a new alias (I'm not sure what I'm gonna call it yet, but don't be surprised ifI keep it ina horror theme) and will soon beback to my Silent Hill obsessed wise-cracking ways! (I'm not quite sure if thats a good thing or not ).

I've missed all my old friends here though Iam saddened to see that the Crimson Butterfly Union has been disbanded (and all the work I put inot becoming an officer) after the departure of leader Bloody_Kimono_ though I can always find new unions to post in.

I see that gamespot has changed quite a lot since I left and this I guess I will have to get used to, but I'm willing to give it a shot .

Currently playing: God Of War II & Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

Currently listening to: Ozzy Osborne- Black Rain, Dimmu Borgir- In Sorte Diaboli, Mortiis- The Smell Of Rain & Kamelot-Ghost Opera

My Union.
I finally managed to get a union up and running!

After two attempts to form it I have finally got The Horror Monsters union started. It is a union about all horror games and movies and is for anyone who likes survival horror games or loves to be scared.

I have only just got it started and could do with some support from people who are willing to join

Anyone interested ?   Horror Monsters union

Lacuna Coil show summary

This was the first ever live concert I had been to and I was not disappointed. Lacuna coil really know how to do a really kick @ss show .

First up were support band PoisonBlack, a goth metal band from Finland and sound like a heavier HIM. They were only on for around 30-45 minutes but they did an amazing perfromance with good guitar solos and great vocals from former Sentanced voaclist Ville Laihala. Highlights were The Glow Of the Flames and single Love Infernal from their album Escapexstacy.

 PoisonBlack - Love Infernal

At first only half the band appeared on the dimmly lit stage wearing the mask from the cover of their new album Karmacode. Soon after, lead singers Christina and Andrea come on stage to massive appluase and screams from fans. They did a really exciting show and there was a lot of energy in the hall, with great tracks like Swamped, Fragile, Circle and Closer being played.

They came back shortly after for an amazing encore, an it seems as if they were saving the best for last with singles Enjoy The Silence , Heavens A Lie and Our Truth finishing the  show. Thank you Lacuna Coil, for a f*cking awesome gig .

Holiday / Update

I've just got back after a weeks holiday in Wales. I stayed in the northern part of the country and stayed in a nice barn conversion at a farm in Snowdonia. It was the third year running that i've stayed there and was as beautiful as ever and the weather was suprsingly good (it'd rained quite alot the past few years i'd been there). This year i finally worked up the courage to walk up mount Snowdon, which is over three thousand feet tall! I was nackered when i got back down but it was a nice hike up there, but the weather was very unpredictable up their (one minute it was raining, then it was foggy, then it was windy)

There were quite a few nice coastal towns their as well such as Llandudno and Betws-y-Coed and overall i had a nice time.

I also got three new games while i was on holiday which were: X-Men Legends II: Rise Of Apocalypse (psp), Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare (ps2) and Silent Hill (ps1).

I hated AITD and took it back a few days after i got it, it was an awful game with awful gameplay, cutscenses, voice acting and graphics and looked and played like a rather bad ps1 game. X-Men was fun though and very good, even better than the original (i couldn't believe i was playing a psp game!) with the added bonus of being able to play as Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants as well as the X-men. Silent Hill however was just as good as i thought it'd be and was really hard to get a hold of, the graphics were a little outdated (still looked better than AITD though!) and had the amazing gameplay and storyline i've come to expect from the series.

I also got a new emblem recently which means i finally have a rather large number of friends (which is mainly thanks to matsonpp and that thing he but on his blog which makes people track you when they click on your name):

I also became a charter member and officer recently of the new Silent Hill Resort union which is a fun new union dedicated to my favouite game series of all time, lead by my friend Lusitanogamer, it is well worth joining if you are a fan of Silent Hill or just Survial Horror games in general.

In unrelated news i also found out a new rock band i quite liked called Scar Symmetry:

They are Swedish and i first heard them when i watched thier new video (called the Illusionist) on a DVD i got free with Metal Hammer Magazine and have recently just ordered their album off of Amazon.co.uk, their style is the mix of a more gruff tone and a catchy melody and chorus.

Here is a link to the video on Youtube:
