Aaron Greenberg (Microsoft product manager) gave the funniest remarks right before the sales for the month were released. Even ppl who love the 360 should be able to see how lame it is lol He goes on about shortages (I haven't seen a place sold out of 360's) of the 360 which is of course why the PS3 outsold it. I guess we could of used that also when the PS3 first had trouble selling. Let me drop a quote from him "we don't know what will happen to Blu-ray. Is it the next DVD, or the next UMD? Your guess is as good as ours ... we don't expect [Blu-ray's win] to give a boost to PS3 sales, and we don't expect it to impact our sales. Frankly, we think it's the games that sell the consoles."

Them fightin words lol First off UMD might be seen as a failure but at least Sony is doing something with the PSP regarding movies. I mean almost all consoles support dvd nowadays and UMD is like dvd for your PSP. I think thats a big step for handheld consoles personally. Also Blu-Ray is boosting PS3 sales. Blu-Ray players have shot up because of the format winning but the PS3 is still staying the same so your average joe is using it for a BD player. He's right though games do sell consoles in the long run. Games like MGS4,LittleBigPlanet,Resistence 2, and Gran Turismo 5. Plus the cool PSN titles (echochrome comes to mind) and the multi platform titles which sell big time like DMC4 and CoD4. Sony has had a rough time with their consoles. Both the PS3 and the PSP have had hard starts. 2007 brought some good games to both of these systems like Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank and Final Fantasy tactics to name a few. Still they were over shadowed by the Wii and DS craze. This year however will be such a different story. Welcome to the Sony express, it's picking up speed and doesn't show any signs of slowing.

First off the PS3 has price drop which already has brought more people to it (cheap bastergs!!). The PSP has a new model out which has been selling considerably well. Then you got the new games on both systems that have people very excited.

Looks to me like a great lineup of games not to mention all the PS1 games they release on the PSstore and the games.

Now, there are two games I havent talked about and I think it's obvious which ones. Thats because I wanted to talk a little bit about bundles. The PSP and PS3 are getting amazing bundles this year.

First off the PS3 is getting a Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle. It will come with an 80GB system, the game and a DUALSHOCK 3 Controller. It's a pretty amazing deal actually and I plan on getting it come June of this year.

The PSP has a really exciting bundle for God of War:Chains of Olympus. It will come with the game, a UMD version of Superbad and a newly designed PSP 2000. This is a great deal for the more mature gamers and the new PSP looks freaking sweet.

Let's not forget Home, it looks like it will be a pretty cool experiance for the PS3 users. I have a feeling the PSP will be getting in on it in some way also. Also Blu-Ray is the HD format (I don't know who actually thought HD would win) and already sales for the PS3 is jumping up. By the end of this year expect the PS3 to pull ahead of the 360 and it to be very close to the Wii. The Wii fever will die down by 2009 I believe and then the PS3 might actually jump to first place. All in all it will be an amazing year for Sony and Sony users.

Merry Christmas everybody! More than likely I wont be on for awhile (hopefully I will be playing CoD4 ) soenjoy the holidays and be thankful for friends, family, god and of course games

I know this is somewhat older news but I havent had time to comment on it till now. Apparently because of the high productions of MGS4 they want to sell 1 million units I assume in pre orders and the first day. Does anybody think that it will get this mark? The game will more than likely be amazing but are 1 million gamers going to dedicate themselves to it on the first day? I hope the answer is yes. If games like Halo and Guitar Hero (which I have bought every GH...even 80s ) can sell as much as they have in as little as time as they have I really hope MGS4 can pull through. From MGS1 on the PS to MGS3 on PS2 they have never really let the gaming world down and always put out quailty triple A titles. I know I will be buying one the first day it comes out and I encourage all PS3 users to do the same because they got the gameplay down to close to perfect it looks like and it is the conclusion to the MGS series maybe lol

Maybe with the being able to play the whole game in First Person ( which I dont recommend) Will spur more americans to buy it since they just love their first person shooters.

I just beat the game (hard mode) and it might just be the best GH yet. The set list isn't undeniably the best one but it is a realy good setlist. The new battle mode adds to the fun and craziness of it all. Sadly the way they did co-op is flawed so it loses alot of points for being just a little less of the party game it's supposed to be. They added online play which adds another layer of greatness to it. The cool characters(minues eddie knox)guitars,finishes and bonus content help out a bunch also. Sadly the bonus songs are not up to par with the other games but through the fire and flames is a really good addition. With some great songs, More master tracks, added content, new battle mode and online play and Downlaodable content, Guitar Hero 3 might just be the best GH yet

To me it seems like they are extra harsh on anything related to sony. I am still kind of in shock that ratchet and clank got 7.5. That just seems like overkill especially since it looks like they are the only site to give the gaame less then an 8. Heavenly Sword got an 8.0 but I rented it and finished it and it deservers close to a 9 or a plain 9. Heavenly Sword has such amazing visuals, sounds, voice acting and animation. Also whats up with the Final fantasty Tactics 8.0 rating?!? Not saying they are biased just to sony cuz sometimes I think they love their FPS more than any other genre. Seems like FPS at gamespot get the highest ratings. To me it seems like they dont like sonyand they love shooting games. I would like to hear other peoples opinions on this subject...this is not meant to be a gamespot hating rant or anything.
