Well, I might be getting a new PC in time for Christmas. A gaming rig, as it were. 1,500-2,000 $$$ altogether, if I play my cards right. Hot damn, that would be great. One can only hope, I suppose.

On a completely seperate note, I just got two of the games I ordered in the mail yesterday. No One Lives Forever 2, and Soldier of Fortune II, to be precise. They're both really fun, but SoF is EFFING DIFFICULT, and I'm on easy. But the gore and violence is oh-so-satisfying. Nothing like running up to a foe and blowing their head/leg/arm off with a shotgun. Oh, and NOLF is hilarious. Well... Funny, at least.

But I'd like to bring up another point, and a question to anyone who may read this; Have you ever felt odd when dropping $100 or more on several games, barring the new console purchase scenario? I mean, it's weird to me, because I'd been looking at my Amazon wish list for over two weeks, modifying it every now and again, trying to figure out exactly what I wanted. The weird part being that now my wish list is seven items shorter. I've never spent that much money at an online shop before. It's a cool feeling, knowing that I now have a bunch of new stuff in the mail, on it's way to me. But, at the same time, it's just strange. I dunno, maybe I'm thinking too much about it. I guess I'm just excited.

yah your thinking about it too much  just enjoy your new games and make sure you have enough money left to pay for any thing else important like gass or rent (if you have to worry about those things yet). but yah i'd settle for a lap top right now so i could take it to wifi spots and be on here more offten. i don't have internet at home any more so my desk top is kinda usless now :S oh well guess i just have to save up my money.

I'm going balls-to-the-wall with the specs, but I'm ordering it through an online store. I can say this much, though; It'll be running on Windows XP Pro, and might dual-boot with Vista.

yeah games cost a whole f*ckin lot. i regret that back in the day but if you live at home with your padres i wouldn't worry. milk free rent as long as you can. but you dont yeah spending that much money on games is a bit frustrating since they cost so damn much.

Hopefully you'll get a new PC. Never played either of those games. I've never spent that much money online, but I know the feeling. I would be thinking "Should I have spent all that money?".

Cool deal on the gaming rig thing! Although I'd hope you wouldn't be buying from a big-box store like best Buy, Futureshop, Circuit City, etc. as they totally rip people off. NOLF is indeed excellent! I never really got into SoF though... My thing about buying stuff is that I'm always looking at these expensive items I want to buy, but always look at my bank account and think "Well, that'd take a big chunk out of my savings". On the flip side though, I tend to stroll into the music store and leave with around $100 of music every visit, so if I didn't make so many visits, or spend smaller amounts of cash elsewhere, I'd probably think it feasible to scrounge up the massive coin to get the expensive items. :P What seven items did you get?
