    Fresh Outta Jail...

    It's Claude Speed!

    Ain't he a hunk?

Anyway, Halo Reach, Crysis 2, Bully, Battlefield 3, Enslaved. These are all things I'm playing.

I'm also playing other things, but they're immaterial. Getting a Kinect for Christmas, looking forward to that. I'm also looking forward to Thanksgiving, but hey who isn't?

First blog in a while, and hey! It's totally an acquisitions blog.

So let's get the big fish outta the way right off the bat. I absolutely, positively cannot stand dudes who buy dolls and statuettes modelled after their favorite female anime character. I think it's stupid, and kinda creepy. Having said that, though...

I totally ordered one of those Claude figures that was announced yesterday to coincide with the 10th Anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III. Yes, yes, I know. I'm a bit hypocritical in this particular situation. But hey, what can I say. GTA III changed my life in a profound way. It's something that's hard to put into words, and no matter what I say, I'll never be able to justify this to anyone but myself. But that doesn't matter. I'm happy with my decision.

Moooooving on, I totally ordered Forza 4 from Amazon on Tuesday. Along with it, I ordered the Cowboy Bebop complete DVD box set (Remix, as it's known). I also downloaded the season pass for Forza's DLC, Guardian Heroes, NBA Jam: On Fire Edition, Crysis on Games on Demand, and Rock the Casbah by The Clash in the Rock Band store. Love that song, one of my favorite bands. When the full album of London Calling was released, I got it day one.

So yeah, am I missing anything...Oh, I almost forgot. I bought Rage day one for PC. sadly, my hardware is not up to snuff, and everything is just AGH I wish it worked, anyway.

So that's about it for now, and if anyone wants to tell me the figure purchase was a bad idea, go ahead in the comments.

Doin' it all for the Fuel, and other Codies nonsense that actually makes sense.

So yeah, gonna address that title right off the bat. I'm about four years late to the Codemasters party, but I picked up a copy of GRID and FUEL each for about the price of a new Blu-Ray. Or a TV-on-DVD box set. Let's say ballpark...around 25 dinero. Give or take.

ANYWAY, so yeah those two. GRID is great, and in fact I actually had the opportunity to buy it twice for not much more than the initial price. Five bucks on Steam AND it went to charity. Pretty good deal, all things considered.

But getting to the crux of the title, FUEL. That game...is addictive as hell. Just wandering the wasteland on nothing but an ATV, searching for barrels of fuel. Non-descript fuel. OH LOOK! THERE'S A CLUSTER OF FOUR! *bump* So much fun. Oh yeah, and the events are cool, too.

DiRT 3. I've been chronicling the DLC on offer through my Youtube account, so check it out:

Today they released the Shibuya tracks under the name X-Games Asia Track Pack. Very good rallycrosstrack, though a rehash from DiRT 2. AndI would've preferred the Malaysia rally stage, honestly.

On the Rock Band side of things, Yes track pack came out today for RB3, and it's kinda hard. But so much fun. Get it, if you like good prog-rock and play Rock Band 3.

So that's it for now, hopefully this blog gives you guys an idea of what I've been up to. -Gregg
