    I Live!!!

Alright, first of all, I want to apologize to everyone for not informing you over the past month about why I've been absent. This was inconsiderate, and was rude of me. I still want to be a member here at Gamespot, and be the leader of the ZUU.

Now to explain. If you rember back a few months ago,I said I was going to get an Xbox 360 sometime over the upcoming months, Well, that happend around the middle of August. I was pretty much glued to it until the beginning of September. That's when I had to do summer homework, which I probably would've done earlier, butI only learned where I was going to high school midway through August, about the same time I got my 360. So, I spent the last days of summer doing homework(-_-). I started school two weeks ago, and I've been busy since (four advanced classes, incl. Alg II/Pre Trig.!). Today I stayed home sick from school. So, now I finally got back to Gamespot. Once again, I'm sorry.

I'll post another blog this weekend, but for right now that'll do it. I hope I can catch up to where I left off.

    God Bless

Let's Play Video Vote, new vid., and a Rant on Wii Channels

Sup guys. Let me start off by saying I will be doing my first set of let's play videos soon. It's basically a video walkthrough of the game with voice commentary. For my first one, i will be doing one of three games. The selections are...

    1)Pikmin 2

    2)Ocarina of Time

    3)Majora's Mask

Please make sure to vote in the comments.

Also, here is my latest video, which came out around over a week ago:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd-C4gznd0g

Finally, I'm goingto talk about two channels: the Everybody Votes Channel and the Check Mii Out Channel.

These two channels used to be pretty fun to take part in when they first came out. There were almost constantly good Mii contests going on, and good polls to take part in. Since their start, however, they have been on a constant decline in quality. Let's start with the Everybody Votes Channel. There are two problems I have with this channel. Here is a good example which displays both problems. A current poll is asking "Which type of cheese is better for attracting and catching mice? Swiss or Brie?" Um...what? First of all, almost nobody cares! Moreover, that isn't a poll question! A question is not a poll if it has a correct answer! If the person who submitted that question wants to know which is better, why can't they LOOK IT UP ON GOOGLE OR YAHOO? It's a lot faster and easier, and it doesn't waste poll space! Here is another recent non-poll question: "Only one of these can be seen from space. Which one is it? Great Wall of China or Hoover Dam?" Once again, that question has A CORRECT ANSWER. It isn't a poll, which is what the channel is for. What if there was a question, "Which is bigger? The sun or the moon?", and everybody voted MOON? That doesn't make it the correct answer! The bottom line is that the person posting these submitted questions should be fired or instructed on how to dotheir jobright. People have definitely submitted better poll questions, and they deserve to be up there more than what is currently being posted.

Next up is the Check Mii Out Channel. Like I mentioned earlier, this channel started out great. There were a ton of exceptional Mii contests. Now, it's become seldom that there is a somewhat good contest made. Here are the worst recent contests with odd themes: "A child anticipating an upcoming birthday party", "Someone who might like cars", and "A person in front of you at the super market taking too much time". I'm going to point the problems with these contests. Let's start with "A person who might like cars". Why not "A person who likes cars"? Why "might like cars"? Is there something wrong with stereotyping? Next up is "A child anticipating an upcoming birthday party". Wouldn't the kid be happier at the birthday party? Also, that could mean anybody's birthday party! Shouldn't it be "A child AT THEIR birthday party"? I think a kid would be happier at their own birthday party than waiting for some other person's birthday party. I guess they want me to make a kid who's somewhat happy then, right? Besides, how detailed can the original contest get? Just put "A really excited and happy kid" if that's what they want. Finally, we have "A person in front of you at the supermarket taking too much time". What kind of a contest theme is that? Is that all they could come up with? That's hard to make anyway, as you can't make Miis very detailed! Who came up with these contests? They used to have contests like making Mario and Luigi, and now we have these contests? Nintendo has been around for over 20 years. They have plenty of "make a character contests" they could choose from! But no, I guess they want us to make people at the supermarket and such. All in all, Nintendo needs to go back to making exciting and interesting contests like they used too.

That'll do it for my rant.
