Today marks one week since I started my new job as an associate producer at Electronic Arts Los Angeles. For my first assignment, I'm getting to help wrap production on the PC version of Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars. I'll also be taking in a lot of new information about the process here, hopefully without getting underfoot during a busy and exciting time. In short, it feels good to be on the team. Going into this, I had an idea of the types of people I wanted to work with and what types of games I wanted to work on, and all of that seems to be here. I'm also lucky to be working alongside and learning the trade from one of my former GameSpot colleagues, Mr. Amer Ajami, whom I owe a lot to for paving the way for me.

I really appreciated the show of support and good faith in response to my previous post; I owe a lot to you, too. After all, thanks to you I think my family finally gets what the hell it is I've been doing with my life. Let me make you a promise: For each game I get to work on, from this first project onward, I will keep you in mind and do everything I can to help ensure you won't be disappointed if you decided to play it.

All the best to my comrades at GameSpot.

So the speculation can finally stop - it's EA LA. They're lucky to have you. I'll be looking forward to your first game. Keep us posted.

Awesome start in the industry, Greg. I had a feeling that's where you were going after you specified that it was an RTS series. You will be working on the PC version, right? I'm pretty sure Amer is producing that title, if memory serves me right from his interview on 1UP Yours.

Can't wait to see the game and make sure to keep us posted on what you're doing Greg!

Nice, Greg, you'll be working with the best of the best, on the best strategy game around. Can't wait to see your touches in the final game, and what the guys over at Westwood do with it. If you get a chance, give my regards to Billy Dee, alright?

Congrats Greg! EA LA, huh? That sounds like a good place to start off your game making career. As for Command & Conquer 3, I'm not much of an RTS fan myself, but with you helping with the game let's hope it becomes a big success.

Congradulations and good luck on your new venture in the gaming industry. C&C 3 looks to be really sweet! Please don't allow EA to screw us over on downloadable content or what not on future titles. That stuff is for the birds.

Anyways, it would be weird to see you being interviewed, instead of the interviewer, by other gaming sites and magazines on future projects. Or even to see your name in the instruction manuals and end credits.

Again good luck and congrats on this awesome job! Keep us posted on what happens.

Heh, turned out my source was quite accurate. Command and Conquer 3 it is.

I've been looking for an excuse to give the RTS a try in earnest, and Command and Conquer 3 sounds like a good start.

Sweet! I was super excited about C&C3 anyway, but now I can look for your name in the credits, right? That's awesome.

And I have a lot more respect for EA as a whole lately than I did in the past... Partly because they're actually bringing out multi-platform Wii games that look GOOD! So I'd say you're in alright hands... Not that them making oodles of money doesn't hurt either

well, like a few people here, I am not a fan of RTS games unfortunately but I am sure the game will do well with you on board now. Also, like some people said, if you are as brilliant a game developer as you were a journalist, then you are going to be awesome. The best of luck and I am sure C & C 3 will do well with you on board so take care.

You know, after playing the trainwreck that was Middle-earth II on the 360 (the slowdown makes the term "slide show" seem generous), I had pretty much written off any console RTS EA puts out, but since you're on the team, I'll give it a second chance.

No slowdown, constrictive camera and blocky pixels, please! The control work was excellent, though.
