About my Blu Ray post

So i completely forgot a paragraph...

Sony has somthing going for them with the inclusion of Blu Ray, for one its going to open more an more people up to the blu ray market, even if they didnt buy a ps3 for that reason. my guess is this thought will run through their head "Well i have a ps3 and it has blu ray... and that works fine, so i think ill get the blu ray player" one ir two years down the line. As for them making it "mandatory" in their console i dont agree with. 9.whatever gb is more than enough with the new compression technology available... hell, i think oblivion was only like 4.2 gbs on the pc. When it comes to blu ray being "forced" on a cosumer when all they want is games i think they are making a mistake. 50gb does not gaurentee better games, it dosnt gaurentee better stories... what it does guarentee is:
1. if a game has a awsome story, it can be longer without a disc swap
2. if a game is crap... it may as well be 50gbs of crap
3. if you like playing your games on a blu-ish disc, you win

About my Sony Post
Ok, so E3 was a horrible tragedy in a marketing sense... oh well, its not going to "fail" as i suggested in my earlier post, i just dont think its going to do so hot till about 2 years from now.  I was just in a very "WTF!" mood because it was right after i read that im paying for potential, and not blu ray or an awsome hard drive.

maybe ill get a ps3 june 07, maybe not, most likely will

Mass Effect... Holy Top Hats!
Nerds Log: Wednesday, July 12th 2006

I was play Frogger trial version over and over, because im a cheap b@ast@rd! I receive a mysterious voice message.... mysterious because i didnt catch the names when it appeared.... and it said "DUDE!!! OMG !!!! THERES A FREAKIN MASS EFFECT GAMEPLAY VIDEO ON MARKET PLACE OMG....wanna play uno?"

So i was like "Hey bud take the pills and cool thanks for the info." I went off to download it and was expecting something ive already seen on some website... but holy crap... this trailer simply blew me away.  The trailer was a walkthrough from the E3 06 demo, It featured some character talkity talk scenes and really showed off the character detail.  How would i sum up the character detail and acting? oh its pretty simple... just read the message the mysterious person sent me.

The movements were more life like than anything ive seen in a game so far, the voice acting was extremely well done for a game with no script, and best of all was the character facial expressions... the wince when a gun is pulled, the squinting when something bad is said, the jaw sticking out and the eyes narrowing when the characters get tough.... it was all simply amazing.  I would say the most impressive part of the trailer (this part actually made me laugh at how cool it was...) was this scene where theres a girl with a visor and a helmet that appears, the reflection and detail on her visor, the refraction of light and color ...changy-ness in the lens was just freakin cool.  I was also... oh wait, im suppose to start a new paragraph.

I was also impressed by the combat, it looked very nice with the squad based shooter touch.  The best part of it? you really wanna know? the fact  this game still has a year of development to go.

This whole Blu-Ray HD this is just..... eh
So recently while on one of my late night forum runs i ran across a very interesting thread in the ps3 board (it wasnt about rumors!).  The guy, or gal asked the question "Does movie playback actually matter in a gaming console?" and it sparked a thought.  When it comes down to my console playing movies in, whether it be HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, or DVD, i really could not care, simply because im a "gamer" not a movie buff.  But who would it matter two.... hmmm....lets ponder that one. I think the Sony PS3 Blu Ray player will appeal more to the 30-ish year old parent who has kids and a "other" who may not play games as well, they are going to want to get he console that also plays movies to lessen the clutter in their living room.
But! if you just (like me) a teen age gamer who has a limited income will most likely be better off with the (dare i suggest it?!?! yes i will cause it rocks) a Xbox360.  Not because its style-ish white and lime green but because it gives you your games, still plays the dvds, which as a teenager is really all i can afford... i cant go 35 bucks for a movie, and it will also allow me to buy a Hd-DVD player later on... if i want/need one.

IDK, i think people are pretending the format "war" is the same thing as the console war.  I see so relation between the two as only one system is depending on the format war to sell.

Then theres the Wii..... yea, its there, its a gaming machine, yay nintendo

Sony.....what the heck?
Sometimes i watch those home video programs on TV that show all the crazy bad stuff that have happened to people, and how they got out of it and lived.  Sony, when are you going to make an apperance on that show? Some people would say i go on the internet looking for bad news about Sony, i dont, I go on the internet and cant find anything but.

Sony hosts press conferences to go over their bad news, and within those press conferences they usually release MORE bad news.  For example: Sony E306 press conference wasnt too hot, im thinking "Alright, they got all these games which so far have yet to be appealing to be, but you know they still have some more time before its over." THEN BAM!!!!! WTF?! (price was announced).   So now im sitting there with my head on my desk almost in tears because i feel bad for them, and then i hear these words come from my speakers "When i move the controller it moves on the screen" and im thinking "Do i even want to look at my monitor?"   In case you havent figured it out, i did look at my monitor.  The next part of this story is as follows: *stand up, look at 360*  * thumbs up*  *look bad at  the monitor as my eyes form a tear* *turn of the monitor and play geometry war*

i grew up sony and sega... one down one to go.

What the MS>?!

So, I bought this thing called an Ex-Box Three Hundred and Sixty, it was suppose to come with these things called games, and arcade games. I was wrong, After buying it on November 22nd i realized one thing... ALL THE GAMES COME OUT NOVEMEBER OF NEXT YEAR WTF?!?! so now im sitting here my pathetic score of 510,368 in geometry wars, level 8 on Outpost Kaloki X, and really good and hitting A when it says "Shoot" in big letter is Over-G.

Now some of you would say "What about GRAW?! What about Oblivion?!" ... GRAW has been out for awhile, and ive beaten it 8 times.... guess what! NOTHING CHANGES ON THE EIGHTH VICTORY OVER IT. Oblivion on the other hand would still be fun to play, but my saved game is in a door way between a angry old **** with magic missles, or sunlight... i have 14 freakin health and im a vampire.... so I cast that game into itself.

Then theres the game OVER-G. What the hell is wrong with you japan? When i click the "normal" difficulty on a game i want it to be normal.... not a freakin battle against Satan in an f14. Japan, stop making americans feel bad by releasing games that are hard... just stop.

BUT!!!! dead rising is soon coming out and ill love it some more (the box de X) and in november i will be playing my Wii and 360 non stop. Sorry, i just cant afford a PS3 and still get all the games i want for the 360 and Wiizzle
