  DLC Galore! And Happy Holidays To All!

  I was planning to purchase 3 out of the 4 possible games this spring that I wanted: Bioshock 2, Star Ocean 4, and Final Fantasy 13. White Knight Chronicles was purely an optional choice. And then I saw there was a slew of DLC coming out for the games I do own. Within the next three months, I have to deal with 3 new releases for my PS3, an update for LBP for around 5 to 6 bucks (Pirates of the Carribean and Water!), Borderlands' second expansion Mad Moxxi's Riot Underdome (another 10 bucks), Assassin's Creed 2's two announced expansion packs (which'll total out to 10 bucks for both when they release), and now, Sega discounted all their Valkyria Chronicles' DLC by 40% between now and January 7th (-cough- Yuna7780, 40% off -cough-). So now, I have to save 75 bucks for my remaining new releases (an optional 55 for the 4th game), and around 35-40 bucks for all this DLC I want so bad...

  This will be my last blog before Christmas, so Happy Holidays to my friends. Look for me on LittleBIGPlanet or Borderlands or Demon's Souls this winter! And be sure to take advantage of Sega's 40% off sale on their DLC.

  New Years Resolution 2010

  I don't have any aspirations in the new year. Aside from trying to find a real full-time job to get into, and getting my own place. But since this is a game site, I figure I'll post what I aspire to play.

  -Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, let's face it. it's been 3 years coming.)

  -Star Ocean: The Last Hope International (PS3, cause that's where the series belongs)

  -White Knight Chronicles (PS3, if these updates and DLC that the International version will have will vastly improve the game)

  -Bioshock 2 (PS3, let's face it. It can be to the first game what Uncharted 2 was to its first game; same for Gears of War; same for Mass Effect, Dark Cloud...sequels usually bring what we love and more)

  -Heavy Rain (PS3, everyone loves a good adventure)

  -Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 (Now that it's got a 2010 release date, I know I'll want this)

  -Tales of Vesperia (PS3, if it gets localized over here. Which I hope it does. I'd definitely buy it.)

  -God of War III (PS3. Getting the Collection soon...so going to get this.)

  What about all of you? Any of you have any next-gen ambitions for 2010?

  Major Announcements Brought To You By Spike TV's Video Game Awards 2009!

  Ladies and gentlemen of Gamespot, as an unofficial representative (who is getting paid nothing whatsoever) of the VGA broadcast, it's my pleasure to keep you all on tabs about some major announcements that will take place during the course of the VGAs. I will be updating this blog post accordingly during the live broadcast I am viewing. So for now, here's a couple of tidbits that are news enough. As of 8:40 PM...

  8:00 PM EST - Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 is announced (including Mark Hamill adding panache to the announcement)...

  8:33 PM EST - Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 is announced (including DUAL lightsabers)...

  8:38 PM EST - Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time live action trailer is finally shown on TV (outside of other major streaming websites that have had the trailer for close to a month by now)...

  9:18 PM EST - Rock Band: Green Day is announced...

  10:59 PM EST - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves acquires Best Graphics, Best PS3 Game, and Game of the Year from Spike TV (yet it isn't in the top 20 sales listing for the year...)
