"From a universal perspective, whether we live or die doesn't matter. The world will keep going on as if nothing happened...Once our lives are over, all that remains is our physical bodies. Water, carbon, ammonia, lime, phosphorous, sodium, potassium, sulfur, magnesium, fluoride, iron, silicon, manganese, and aluminum... our bodies are nothing but a composite of those and a few other basic elements. Our fate is to be decomposed by bacteria and become nutrients for the plants. And the plants become food for the herbivores, and the herbivores become food for carnivores. This cycle goes on and on, even when we aren't aware of it... life is a complex cycle, so vast that we can't see it with our own eyes. Maybe it's "the world," maybe it's "the universe"... but whatever it's called, you and I are only a tiny part of that great flow. One part of the whole. But all those individual parts come together so that the whole can exist. And the cycle keeps flowing because all of nature follows this fundamental law. Understanding that flow, deconstructing and then reconstructing... that's the meaning of alchemy." ~Hiromu Arakawa; Fullmetal Alchemist

New Sigs ++ Anime Update

Hey everyone, seems e3 is slowing down Gamespot considerably I'm usualy hyped about e3 but I just don't really care this year...

Anyways, I just recently completed Full Metal Panic. Felt it was rather disappointing, the story specifically. You can see my full review for it here.

I picked up Genshiken and Full Metal Panic Fumoffu; only 2-3 episodes into each but they're pretty good so far. Also been watching the new anime "Birdy the Mighty Decode", but it's too early for impressions yet. Heh, you'll just have to wait for further suggestions I guess

Here are some new sigs I've completed... the first is for Ballroompirate, featuring Yoko from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann:

Then this one is for Kisuke, featuring Roy Mustang from FullMetal Alchemist:

And then I made one of Rei from Evangelion for myself:

Anime + Other Stuff Update

Hey everyone, just a quick rundown on the anime I've been watching.

-Finished Kure-nai; the ending was kind of strange but overall decent.

-Still watching .hack//sign, on episode 10; and still watching Soul Eater (epic!!), Macross Frontier, and Code Geass R2

-Watched Tokyo Godfathers, you can see my review here

-Soon will be watching Kara no Kyoukai 02

-Waiting on summer shows to arrive (mostly Nagizaka Haruka no Himitsu) I made a list of the summer anime in the cafe, there are two parts [ Part 1 , Part 2 ] so check it out if you're interested.

In other news; I picked up World of Warcraft to play over the summer, thinking of making a warlock... thoughts? And the new Shinedown cd is out, going to get that soon...

Graduation at Heart Station!

I love making weird blog titles

I had my high school graduation ceremony today, cl@ss consisted of 750+ students so it took around 3 hours to hand out diplomas. Everything went fine, didn't trip on my way down the stairs thankfully. I got like 4 hours of sleep so when I got back I took a nice nap... and just woke up a couple minutes ago. Going out with my family to dinner soon, and then theres a school-hosted party going on from 11pm to 4am, hopefully I can stay awake

I've been listening to Utada Hikaru's latest album, called "Heart Station". So far it's good... though doesn't come close to some of her other albums. At the opposite extreme from Disturbed in my last blog Any man listening to an album called Heart Station is one manly man in my opinion.

And I started watching
.hack//SIGN (thanks to thetruth) Only two episodes in, but it's about a guy stuck in an MMORPG and unable to logout. He is given some sort of guardian to watch over him; however, the guardian's attacks on others inflicts damage to their actual physical being in reality. Looking forward to watching the rest later

Disturbed and New Banners

I got the new Disturbed CD last week, titled Indestructible, and it's really great. I recommend it for fans of hard rock/metal. My favorite song from the CD so far would be "Divide"

I also made three new banners, all similarly s-t-yl3d as a set featuring the three main characters from Samurai Champloo.

I ended up with the pink one

Oh and thank you everyone! The Anime Cafe has reached 100 members!

Collection Pic and nearing 100 members!

Hey everyone, I took a picture of my anime collection not so long ago (it's on my myanimelist profile) and I thought I'd share it with you all here. (click to enlarge)

Also took some detailed pictures, inside and out, for the Mushi-shi starter set. I posted this earlier in the Anime Cafe and I don't feel like transfering them all so click here for the rest.

Also also! My Anime Cafe union is nearing 100 members! (only 3 away) So please come help us reach the milestone!

I Lost My Hero.

I just got No More Heroes for the Wii for only $20 thanks to Walmart being able to price-match Circuit City's advertised price. Played it for a good hour or so, and my conclusion on the game: "badass". The game is so tight and it has a lot of humor (even some that only anime fans would understand) I couldn't help get the grin off my face after seeing the main character (Travis Touchdown) charge up his beam sword in a *cough* dirty *cough* fashion, during which you have to wag the Wiimote from side to side.

My only grudge so far would be the ancient graphic **** The text is hard to read, especially on my widescreen television (don't believe the game is in true widescreen format) Oh well, I'm getting adjusted to it.

In other news, I watched Appleseed and the sequel, Appleseed Ex Machina. The first was made in 2004 I believe, and the second in 2007. It's amazing how much the CG animation has improved over that short time frame of 3 years. The story wasn't all too impressive, but the music and animation were top-notch. If you've seen the similarly produced film Vexille, let me know if it's worth watching
