    Modern Warfare 2 Impressions

    In short,it's fantastic!

If you're wondering where I've been, you now know. I've been addicted to MW2. I've already beaten the campaign, dug into the online, and played some of the Spec. Ops missions.

The campaign, at the moment, is my favorite part. Not only is it challenging and engaging, it is incredibly fun and filled with a lot of awesome moments. While it may be a bit on the short side, it is still excellent.

The graphics aren't much improved over the original Modern Warfare. The particle effects and textures and such have been upgraded, but not too significantly. It looks very similar to the original in my opinion, which isn't necessarily a bad thing because the first looked incredible in my opinion.

Anyone who played the first Modern Warfare will be fairly familiar with the online in MW2. It retains most of the same aspects of the original, while adding unique features that make it feel very different. So, if you enjoyed the online a lot in the original, then you'll most likely love the online play in this one as well.

Spec Ops is one of the big new features in MW2. In short, it's similiar to the COD4's epilogue mission: Mile High Club. In each of the mission, you start with an objective that you are to complete. It may be racing on a snowmobile or defending yourself from waves of enemies. I haven't played all of them yet, but the ones I have played a very fun and challenging. I often find myself going back to a certain mission to try and get a 3-Star rating.

Overall, I would give Modern Warfare 2 a 9.5/10. It has kept me highly entertained for the past couple of days and, if COD4's online is anything to judge by, the online will keep me busy all year. I would highly recommend this to any looking for a good FPS or just a fantastic game in general.

    Uncharted 2 Complete!

After a week and a half of playing, I finally beat Uncharted 2. It was a brilliant game to say the least. However, I can honestly say I enjoyed the first Uncharted WAY more than the sequel. But that may be due more to the setting. I enjoyed being in a tropical jungle the entire time. The part that really bugged me was the controls. The button to take cover is the same as the one to hang off of a cliff. In many situations, this got me killed. For instance, I was trying to destroy a tank, but instead of taking cover, I hung onto the ledge, that happened to be right in front of the tank, and it blew me up with a missile.

Another thing that bugged me, was the camera angle during platforming sequences. On one hand, it would sometimes help you figure out where to jump, but the camera would often move to where I can't see where I'm going, and that bothered me.

Some of the good things about Uncharted 2 is the fun gun battles. Once you figure out how to wield your weapons effectively, it's a blast.

    Overall, I'd give Uncharted 2 a 9/10. I'd recommend it to anyone.

So, I'll guess I'll be playing Muramasa more now, which is also an amazing game. So, until next time I suppose.
