I am looking for advice about getting into the industry and pretty much anything relating to the actual development process. ?!?!?!? Ideas and Opinions ?!?!?!?

I am currently in College for Game Software Development and am looking to broaden my views and ideas of the gaming industry.Please tell me any ideas that you can fathom when it comes to things you would like to see in games.
