After about a month with the 3 systems, the X Box 360 comes out on top.

Thought I'd toss out my feelings on Wii vs. X360 vs. PS3 for whoever may be interested in the subject, and perhaps for someone who is trying to decide which to get.

Short Version: the 360 is currently my preferred console.

    The long version follows below.

When it comes to time spent playing games, the XBox 360 leads quite comfortably. I think it comes down to just how many great games there are currently out for the 360. In fact it is almost too many as I often find myself buying games before I have finished with what I have got already. It's ok though, I get 'em all done eventually.

Another big factor is XBox Live and the things that come along with it like the Arcade and Achievements. I find the Achievement system to be a great way to keep a player interested in a game for longer as well as give us gamers a chance to show off a little buy building our gamerscores. In fact, it is because of this that I have unofficially decided to always buy the 360 version of a game if it is offered on multiple platforms simply because of the achievements and the functionality of XBox Live. Obviously this has a strong impact on which console gets the most play.

I have not had a hint of any of the hardware problems you may have read about with my 360.

My PS3 comes in a close second, and only due to the reason that there just aren't as many games out right now that I am interested in playing. There are some of course...Heavenly Sword was awesome though too short, and I have a copy of Drakes Fortune as well as several others just waiting to be played. Overall what I have tried out has looked as good and played as nicely as any game on the 360.

I'm not as fond of the PSN though...a sort of Playstation version of XBox Live. I feel much more detached when using it as opposed to the XBox 360 where you kind of feel "at home" when you log into your profile. This is hard to put into words but the bottom line is that XBox Live and its interface just feel better to me. I feel that Sony can and will improve in this area.

I get the most use out of my PS3 presently by using it's Blu Ray player. I recently got a nice new HDTV and was yearning to see it at really the best it could be. Buying a PS3 was a no brainer as most Blu Ray players were as much if not more money to buy. I've also since been paying a little attention to the whole Blu Ray vs. HDDVD thing and am quite satisfied and confident that I made the right choice in that respect.

Unfortunately the Wii comes in a distant third. Being the first one I bought of the three it was great fun at first but quickly faded when the others were introduced. The Wii is good for kids or times when you feel like jirating around, but when it came down to just sitting down and having a good hard session...the Wii just doesn't deliver.

I used to claim that graphics didn't matter to me at all, so I was very surprised to see just how significantly it does affect my gameplay experience. The Wii just has nothing impressive to offer visually...again not a problem for someone on a SDTV, but when you really want to see your T.V. shine...there's just nothing out there on the Wii that will do it.

I haven't played a game on it in a couple months and my Wii game collection went from about 13 to 3. I don't particularly like to trade games I just new I would never go back to any of the games I already had now that the other consoles were at their rightful place under my T.V. I've even considered selling it simply because everyone seems to want one and I might get more than I paid for it and just buy one later if I felt the need.

    This is getting too long now...Bottom line....get a 360.

Weak. I am so very weak. I am now an owner of All 3.

Well it all started with a passing comment to my girlfirend. I was commenting on something along the lines of how I wish I had a HD player and how there are two formats to choose from. I then described how there is an HDDVD add on for 360 and how the PS3 comes with a Blu Ray player and how I just couldn't decided which to go with.

Her comment was "Why don't you just get both?"

I was amazed and knew right then and there that I had picked the right girl for me!

Since that comment late last night I did a little info gathering and here I sit now with a brand new 80G PS3 system still in the box. It came with Motorstorm and Ratchet & Clank Future and I bought Heavenly Sword separately. I also picked up a copy of Blue Planet for Blu Ray

Im so excited, I can't wait to crack open the box and spend some time setting it up. Unfortunately iI have tickets to a hockey game tonight so I'm going to have to leave before I get a chance to play with it but rest assured that the entire time I will be longing to be at home with my new system

After spending a few weeks with my new X360 console I am still mesmerized.

Well it has been a little while since I got my Holiday Bundle in the mail. I must say that I am still just as impressed with it today as I was when I first turned it on.

Games I buy continue to be awesome; I have yet to pick up a title that was not fun. My collection has grown to 14 games now and each one is great. I am playing on a 46" HDTV (which I just purchased for gaming with the 360) and let me tell you the visuals are nothing short of impressive.

Im EXTREMELY glad I went the Elite route...the extra HDD space truly is nice to have. If I had the standard 20G drive I would have filled it up several times by now and i would be having to delete demos to make room for new ones. But since I have 120G I have just been downloading everything and still have 90G free.

The only bad thing is my poor Wii is feeling left out...I don't think i have turned that thing on in a month. Also my Wii game collection is going down fast as I realise that most of them are fit for trading in on BETTER xbox games.

Im not gonna bash Wii but it just wasn't cutting it as a standalone console to play. When I wanted to have a nice gaming session there wasn't really any games to choose from. With the 360 it's like you have to choose which awesomeness to buy first.

Anyone out there wondering if you should go out and grab an XBOX, stop wondering and just go out and grab one...you will not be disapointed.
