6Nov 08My grandparents just came from the U.S. and they brought along with them a Nintendo DS for me! Yay! I also get Pokemon Diamond, Mario Kart DS, and Brain Age 2, along with it. But I don't know if it's DS or Lite, but the DS is black and so is it's cover which has a Dialga and another Pokemon on. I was hoping for a PSP, but this will do too

That can run on
A PD 2.20GHz
1024 MB of RAM
GeForce 7300GS 256 MB 64 bit (yeah i know it sucks, gonna upgrade soon)
And I want some games to test my system to the max please...
On a side note:
Which is better?
GeForce 8800GT 512 MB 256-bit
OR
HIS HD4850 512 MB 256-bit
Both are close in my budget but since I can buy only one, which one should I?

...really really really really need for my PS2;
Toca 3 - c'mon man, its TOCA, one of the best (if not the best) simulator races out there. But even though this is in my most wanted list, I have to be fair and point both its ups and downs:
Ups:Damage - Codemasters' greatest trademark is the damage it puts in its racing games. Recent games showing this off are DiRT and GRiD, but even though TOCA 3 is not next gen, its damage is by far the greatest yet seen in the 6th generation. (and yes, I'm comparing MNC3, HP2[PS2] and even Forza)
Tracks - Like, 100+ tracks? WTF. Thats more than any other racing game out there, with GT4's being second but still half of TOCA's.
35 disciplines of racing - Dude, thats more than anything I know.
Downs:
Cars - 70+ cars only. Though it may be better than and NFS's roster, and may match up to MNC3's, this is nothing compared to the 200+ in EPR and FM and 700+ in GT4. That may be alot, but after seeing GT4 I just wish more cars be included.
The local game store said that they will have TOCA 3 by today or tomorrow, so if you notice any further absence of me, blame TOCA 3
.But for any of you who is curious of 'what is TOCA?' here are a few screenshots of it:

Ouch.

27Jan 08Yeah so, I got a new laptop; 1.29 GHz, 256 RAM, ATI RADEON 7500. Yeah, that may suck compared to today's standards, but at least it will be able to run more games and better than my old PC. It's too bad I can't upgrade laptops. So, could anyone recommend me any games that you suppose will run on my new baby?

http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/2424.html
While Resistance: Fall of Man can support up to 32 players online, Insomniac is taking things up a notch with the sequel: up to 60 players can compete on dedicated servers, with lobbies for individual squads. That's just insane. We'll also be getting a more robust online experience, as there will be classes (Heavy, Special Ops, Medic, etc.), "partial randomized geometry,"
and there's some more news:
PS3 Rewards will be more than just Achievements
http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/2421.html
According to Kotaku and PlayStation Network boss Eric Lempel, PS3 achievements - perhaps they'll be called something else, but whatever - are right around the corner. Not surprisingly, the feature will arrive with the implementation of the highly anticipated online service, PlayStation Home.
"I know that an achievement system is very important to our consumers," said Lempel. "With Home, and in addition to Home, we have some very exciting programs planned to recognize our consumers gaming skills and loyalty in new ways that go well beyond a single score."

For some of you, it may look like I'm a geek, but for others, I may be poor in studies, but to myself, in my own opinion, I have done worse:
2 As - Computers and Islamic Studies
4 Bs - Pakistan Studies (Geo and History combined), Physics, Chemistry, English
2 Cs - Advanced Maths, Urdu (or second language)
1 D - MATHS! I can't believe it! Sure I may have screwed in the Monthly Test, but I was sure to make up for it with an A in the mid-terms! I can't see where I went wrong! Maths used to be my best subject, I don't know whats been going on for the past 2 years, Oh God, please do something!
This is worse than what I used to get, first, in the US or in Primary school, I used to get straight As, at 5th grade, I started getting Bs, but ever since coming to this stupid place I began getting Cs (thanks to Urdu, no matter what, I aways get a C in it, and I guess the word 'Advanced' in Advanced Maths explains the rest), but, for the first time in my academic life, a D, a ****ing D in my Best Subject!?

Ok so I have just recently began uploading my videos, so far I have 6 already on here.
Here is a list of them:

- PS3 Universe ad [short] (30 sec): This is the shortened version of the coolest ads I've ever seen, note that this also has some different footage.
- Burnout Paradise - Welcome to Paradise City Trailer (2 min): This trailer for Burnout Paradise shows the details of Paradise City and what you will be able to do in it, it also shows how you will start a race and how you will exit it.
- The Knack (1 min): This is a short Dilbert cartoon, if you wanna laugh at it, you have to watch the whole thing though.
- Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - Intro Videos (2 min): This is the intro video of GT5 Prologue, one of the coolest intro vids I've ever watched.
- Funny Falls (2'20"): This video has short clips of falls that'll make you laugh right off your chair.
Please watch and comment them

I got DragonBall Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, my first DragonBall game, hell, my first anime-based game ever! I always thought that they wouldn't be a great purchase until now. The game is awesome, has that same adrenaline and fast-paced action as in the anime (also my favorite anime).
Also, Kazunori has confirmed that most cars (not all, due to licensing problems) in GT5 (not Prologue) will have DAMAGE.
Here's the linky, oh yeah, there's some stuff in it for PSP owners too

- In R&C UYA, I have 45 Sewer Crystals remaining even though I have searched every corner of the Sewers. Where can I find them? Are they on the upper levels? If so then how do I get up there?
- In the PS2 version of ProStreet, where's the damage?
- I can't get past the Sexual Deviants level of Manhunt 2, where I have to kill all the guys in the cell rooms, there's one room (first room on the left area, in which the Hunter is chainsaw-ing the 'patient') which I can't get to open, is this a glitch?
If you can answer on any of them then please do, don't send any comments like 'sorry bro, dunno' or 'those seem like bad problems', etc.

My exams just finished today, and during that time I was limited to no PS2 at all and 15 minutes on the computer. I hope that explains my absence. Now I could get back to my gaming business and also start supporting Sony again!
Congrats Sony for the great sales while I was gone and keep it coming

And bentley108 or whoever you are, stop mailing me if you hate my anti-xbox ways, no xbots allowed.

Well I was expecting this, but seriously, an 8? and even though I hate anything Xbox related, I still do think Mass Effect deserved more than an 8.5. The reviewers named only a few setbacks which were mostly something the reviewer didn't like himself. Hard gunplay and platforming? WTF. Its his fault he couldn't be good at it, cause everyone else is praising it..
But it doesn't end there, despite being $170 AND having some hardware issues, they give Rock Band a 9, now I understand it must be tons of fun, but when you mentioned two of the most important parts of a product, price and reliability, and you're not liking them, then do you think it needs to be an Editor's Choice?

I got Freedom Fighters for PC, and so far the gameplay looks very outstanding, if I was able to see it better. Unfortunately, my 7 year old 933MHz computer can't even run a 800MHz requiring game easily, I wish I had a monster computer now, although that may not seem possible, anyways, if I can get a solid computer before I see a PS2 version of Freedom Fighters, it'll be a much bigger break from PS2 gaming.

Early Report: PS3 sales up 300% in Japan.
According to the data, one day after Sony introduced the 40GB model on November 11, local PS3 sales surged from an average of 16,000 to nearly 66,000. These numbers were taken from preliminary data from the latest Enterbrain survey, and while the Japanese market survey firm is usually pretty reliable, the statistics aren't confirmed at this time. Even so, it seems clear this surge has placed the PS3 at the top of the pecking order for the first time...well, ever. Sony finally managed to top the Nintendo Wii, which has routinely sold about 35,000/week in Japan, and that's quite the momentous occasion. Of course, now we have to see if the PS3 can maintain this newly found momentum throughout the holiday season.
Confirmed: Dual Shock 3 Compatible With All PS2 Titles
Sony has confirmed to Eurogamer that all PS2 games will support the rumble of the impending Dual Shock 3. If we had gotten a chance to test this out before firmware update 2.00 for the PS3 had been released, we would've found nothing more than a disabled feature. But 2.00 has opened the floodgates, and now, that Dual Shock 3 will function exactly like the Dual Shock 2 for any PS2 game you might own.
U.S. PS3 Sales more than double since price-cut
According to the Associated Press and Yahoo News, U.S. PlayStation 3 sales have more than doubled in the weeks after Sony cut the price of the system by $100 and introduced the cheaper 40GB model. Sony's CEO Howard Stringer revealed the good news to the AP today, and it bodes well for this holiday season.
All in all, Sony reports that they had sold over 100,000 PS3s (all models included) by the week ending November 11. That 40GB "entry level" model only costs $399 and the 80GB model's appealing new price tag of $499 means Sony's next-gen system is finally competitive with their chief rival, Mocrosoft's Xbox 360.
Before the price cut on October 18, Sony had been selling between 30,000 and 40,000 units each week, which is probably lower than they had anticipated. But sales rose sharply to 75,000 during the first week that price drop was official, and the unveiling of the 40GB model on November 2 has only helped to push the number even higher. Consumers have been clamoring for a price reduction for most of 2007, and now that Sony has granted their wish, the buyers have responded.
Insomniac: Much better PS3 Graphics to come
According to a VideoGamer.com interview with Insomniac Chief Creative Officer Brain Hastings, the PS3 is one powerful machine that still has a ways to go.
"The amount of action we're able to put on the screen at 60 frames per second really dwarfs what we were able to do a year ago at 30 frames per second," said Hastings. "What's most exciting is the way things are headed right now I think we'll see just as big a leap from our second generation engine to our third as we did from the first to second."
As was the case with the PS2, games increased drastically in visual quality over the years. Try comparing launch titles like Tekken Tag Tournament and Summoner to God of War II and Final Fantasy XII, for example; they may as well be games on two entirely different systems. We've been expecting the exact same growth process on the PS3 right from the start, and it seems Insomniac agrees with that theory.
"We're already seeing a big leap in what people are able to do with the PS3 now compared to a year ago, and we're going to see just as big a leap between now and the end of 2008," said the Insomniac Games Chief Creative Officer. "I think we're going to continue seeing major leaps each year in what people are able to do with the machine for at least three or four more years."
360 UT3 Production didn't even start!
Source: Wired > PSPSPS
According to Epic vide president Mark Rein, the fact that the PS3 "embraces user-created content" is the sole reason for the delay of work starting on the 360 version. Apparently there's no easy way to allow gamers to mod titles via the 360, something Epic is massively eager to embrace, as a healthy mod scene can make an online title.
If this starts to become the norm, it's a major bow for Sony's proverbial arrow. Think about how many PC games you while away the hours with, purely down to some cracking mods created by the average gamer on the street. Plus it gives gamers the added bonus of not merely playing a game through to completion, but actually creating their own content to show off to other users. Well played Sony and Epic.

Yeah, well go see them! I have the two versions of the new PS3 ad, a Burnout Paradise Gameplay trailer, and a short Dilbert cartoon. In my images are some pics I made myself, one being a 2008 Lamborghini Reventon Wallpaper (1024x768, goes great with Olive color scheme) and the other is something of my anti-xbox personality

And bad news, Deadlocked was sold out there, and so was Area 51
. I thought I'd try MotoGP 07, but it sucks ass. So I returned it.- Posted Nov 14, 2007 6:29 am PT

The title says it all folks. I personally was able to get a copy of an R&C game yesterday. It's the first game in the series I own, there was Deadlocked on the shelf too, but I thought it wouldn't be as hilarious without Clank. The decision left me with Area 51 and UYA. I was short on money then with only enough for one game (and a fizzy drink), so I ended up getting the one which I was sure would not make me disappointed
.Now I need the remaining three: Going Commando, the first game, and Deadlocked to complete the collection. I think I will get Deadlocked today, if its still over there.
