Vacation!
Yup. For the first time in about 5 or more years I finally have a weeks vacation. Each year I get 2 weeks worth of vacation pay. However I don't get holiday or sick pay. So more often than not I have been using my vacation pay to make up for the days I am sick. Or like last year, my boss wanted to square everybody up with their vaccation pay so that it doesn't roll over to the next year. I had 6 days left, so I just took the pay for them without taking the day off so that we could have extra money for Christmas. In any case I have not had an actual vacation in about 5 years and that was so that we could get settled into our new trailer at the time. The closest thing I have hsd to a vaccation since was when I had my first round of kidney stones which put me out for about a half a week, but I wouldn't really call that a vacation. So for this week (starting yesterday (Sunday) until next Sunday) I am on VACATION! I am not going anywhere, but it will be nice to sit back and relax at home for a while.

Well I think that's about it for now. Talk to everyone later.

Another Blog??? Wow.....
Time again for a once in a great while blog...

The plans to go to Texas have changed several times since my last blog. First was the idea that it would be too much for gas so just my wife and daughter (plus a couple that were suposed to be in the wedding party) were going to go by bus, leaving me and my son up here. That has now changed. Now the wedding may happen later or earlier depending on how things go. If he is going to be deploied then they are going to hurry up the marriage if not then they are just going to wait. So the trip to Texas is off altogether for now. That's ok by me... I get to have all of my family here for my birthday that way.

In gameing news... I am still trying to play Lost Magic for the DS. I also just picked up Dirge of Cerberus from e-bay. That game will have to wait a bit though. I have other games that need to be finished first.

In another tidbit of news. We have received our rebate check. It was about $600 shorter than we thought it would be but still $1,200 more than we had before. I think they forgot to include my kids in the equation... Unfortunatly most of it went to bills and car insurance. I did fwant to get a Wii from it but it was gone before I could do that... Oh well. Maybe next tax return we will get it, or save what little I can save to get it. I didn't get any games for any of the systems either. However since the PS3 is a blue ray player, I did pick up our first blue ray movie. I got National Treasure 2 for blue ray. I have only watched about 1/2 of it so far before I got interupted. I must say that the quality of the movie is AWSOME! I would definatly recomend a hi-def tv with a blue ray player to anyone who enjoys watching movies.

Well I think that's about it for now. Talk to everyone later.

It's time for a new blog....
Well... I think it's about time for a new blog. Since the last one was about a snow storm and now that the temps on average are around 55 to 60. I figure that we are not going to get any more snow. That and I don't blog that often so it is time...
( Stupid Glitch spot... I had this blog all written out but when I went to post it told me I was not loged in... So I am trying this again...)

I just made my first e-bay purchase. I got Lost Magic. I am currently also looking into getting a couple other DS games. In other gaming news, I just finished Folklore last week. It was good, not quite what I had expected but good. I think I am going to try either Genji or FFXII next. I may go with FFXII because one of the DS games I am looking into is FFXII for DS. Which I understand is a continuation of FFXII. So I may go with that one. I could also go with Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria that I got quite a long time ago and have started and picked up several times now. I just keep on getting distracted with other things and by the time I go back to the game I forgot what I was doing and how to do it so I keep on starting over (3 or 4 times now).

In other news. My daughter is going to be a flower-girl. Thing is the wedding is all the way down in Texas. The wedding is in Aug. So we will be heading down to Texas in the heat of Aug. (with now AC in our van). We will be leaving on late Aug 1st or early Aug 2nd (my 30th birthday....), so I will be stuck in a van for 24 hours give or take on my birthday. The up side to this is that I have an uncle down there that we can see while we are down there. It would be a family road trip that our family has never taken (that and I have not been on any kind of trip since before I got married). I also happen to like weddings / wedding receptions. This trip is one of the reasons why I am looking into getting more DS games for our inventory.

Well.... I think that is it for now. Talk to everyone later.

The great melt down.
In all of the snow we got, some areas got up to 2 feet of snow in one day. I am willing to bet that we are one of those areas. The unfortunate part of that is that they are forecasting that we will hit the mid 50's by wed or thru. We live by a larger ravean to a river. So we will not be affected by that big of a flood, but there will be a lot of standing water everywhere. I just feel bad for the people that just recovered from the flooding a couple of years ago. Everything should be alright here though. We live up on high enough land.

Snowed in....
Yep. I usually am working on a Sat. However today I am staying home. Not due to illness or them giving me a day off. It is because after I got our van cleared away of all the snow around it. The roads in our trailer park were not plowed yet so I could not leave my driveway. So I called into work saying that I will make it in when the road is cleared. Well.... I got a call a little while later saying that the other drivers of our trucks (since we are delivery guys, and constantly on the roads) couldn't make it in to work either. So they made a decision to call everyone and close the store due to weather. In the 6 1/4 years that I have been there, they have never done that. Yea conditions have been bad before, but never bad enough to stop work like this. On top of all of that the people that I know that have tried to go out in this, they have said that the police told them to go back home. And our local tv station in Cleveland said that they are issuing tickets for anyone out on the road unnecessarily. So we are literally snowed in for the time being. Things should clear up by tomorrow.

In other news... I know I said that I would give my friend ID for my PS3 when I figured it out. Well..... I still have not figured it out. If someone knows where to look and get it, then I can get it and display it. (Is it possibly the IP address? I am not sure.) If someone could let me know. Thank You.

HDTV and a PS3
Yup. We finally got our 37 inch flat panel HDTV yesterday! We got it all set up last night, and it looks GREAT! We also picked up our PS3 a week ago today, but I didn't want to set it up until we got our new tv. However, yes it is hooked up, we have not yet even turned it on to play with it yet. So if there is any kind of friend code that I can send out, I am not sure what it is yet. I will let everyone know when I get that code set up. The plan is to get the Wii when we get our state return. For now we will be enjoying the PS3 and 5 games: Genji, Folklore, The Golden Compass, Sonic, and the game that was bundled with it: Motor Storm. I am not much into racing games, but my son is, so maybe he will get a kick out of that last one.

Well I think that is about it for now. Talk to everyone later!
