I have been waiting for this game my entire childhood pretty much. Ever since KOTOR 2 I longed to find out the secrets and all the stuff they left hanging. Epicly awesome. It's kinda cool that its an MMO too. Honestly I'd prefer single player cuz its really better for storytelling but they said this ones focused on storytelling. Only other thing is that there'll probably be online fees which I am not a fan of. If there is maybe I can deal with it cuz after all it is KOTOR. Either way I'm extremely excited for this game!

So I haven't posted stuff on Gamespot in a while. But I'm trying to procrastinate on my homework right now, so I decided to review the new google web browser released yesterday: Google Chrome.

I was really surprised by this browser. I expected it to be a piece of crap honestly. However, it really caught my attention with some cool details.

    PROS:

    -Interesting Design

-Search Bar/Address Bar/History all in one box

    -Uses Bookmark toolbar from Firefox

-The main default start-up page is akin to speed dial from Opera except with history rather than favorites.

-Incognito browsing lets you browse without history tracking it(basically its for porn, not that I look at that, but for those of you who do........)

-The ability to make apps out of web pages with a simple click is pretty nice and useful.

-It renders different tabs separately so if one crashes, the others still work. I'm not too sure, but this seems to decrease the hit it takes on RAM.

    CONS

-There are no add-ons. This is probably cuz the program's in beta, but anyway with add-ons it would be greatly improved.

-There is no option for saving all the elements of a web page like Firefox does. I suppose they don't have to, but this is one of the greatest features of Firefox and a big part of why it is my favorite browser.

    FINAL VERDICT

Google Chrome is definitely impressive. It surprised me for sure. But is it the new browser to own them all? I don't think so. It definitely is a start however. Also it's only in beta right now. So by final version time, it could improve a lot. There are some great innovations in here too.

I'm not really one for grades but I guess I'd give it a B- since most reviews have some sort of system like that.

First, I got off of school early-which is always nice.

So I get home and start watching G4tv and on the Feed they mention Mass Effect for PC. It's great news! I'll probably get it-I've been dying lately for a good RPG to play, preferably a KOTOR-esque one.

Speaking of which, I happened to find this on G4tv's website after looking up the article for ME on PC.

Now my day is the most awesome-est day in a reallllllllllly long time. KOTOR3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a great game. I highly reccomend it. I just wanna know what happens when you save all the little girls. I killed them all(I needed the adam!!!!) and I watched the good ending after I beat it. But Tennenbaum said she'd "make it worth your while" if you saved them. If anybody knows what she meant, I'd greatly appreciate it if you told me.

I thought the Microsoft conference was really good and there were a lot of things that imrpessed me. But I didn't feel like the Nintendo Conference was that great. The only things that perked my interest as much as the Microsoft announcements were Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit, and maybe Metroid Prime 3. The Wii saddens me because it's involving too many nongamers while distancing the true gamers. At least that's my opinion.

So I'm finally back.  It took me getting my own computer to come back to Gamespot.  I hope to be active again with summer break about to start.  But yes, I did say I got my own computer.  It's an hp laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium.  It's not amazing in hardware but it's still pretty decent.  The first game I plan on getting for it is counterstrike source, but first I need to find money after spending it all on the computer

But what I'm extermely excited about is tomorrow where on G4tv they're going to broadcast the Star Wars Convention.  Then I saw a commercial for a special Star Wars themed X-Play episode tomorrow.  they promised to deliver something huge about a new Star Wars game.  I'm probably jumping way ahead to conclusions, but I immediately thought of KOTOR 3.  I sure hope that at the covention something's announced about KOTOR 3.  That would be heavenly.  I would be even more excited than I was when I found out about Starcraft II.  Or even when Brothers in Arms: Hell's highway was brought back to life yesterday.

I've had an abscence for a while now.  I don't really have a good excuse other than I've had other things to do.  Well now I'm back.  I might disappear again though.  Hopefully when school ends I can get back to active posting like I used to.  Well it seems lots has happened in my abscence.

There's been lots of news which I need to keep up on.  More Mass Effect stuff has been released which is always awesome.  And I finally got my new emblem for voting.  So hopefully I'll be back again soon.

In my English class we read Romeo & Juliet so last night we all went out to see the play.  So I carpooled with my friend and we were watching the play.  Then during the kissing scene it's all quiet and my friend says "Oh yeah!"(he's not perverted or anything, he's just really random, you'd have to know him to understand).  And then everyone turns around and looks at me.  Lol.  Today at school everyone in my class was talking about that and even the kids who didn't go heard about it.  So now we just have to say "Oh yeah" and everybody cracks up.  Lol.

I know I'm a few days late, but I've been busy enjoying myself.  I hope you all had a merry Christmas anyway.  If you're wondering, I got new headphones, about $85 in cash, and my friend gave me a cool xbox controller that has programmable buttons.  My brother got Lego Star Wars II, Halo, Halo 2, fishing bait, and a $30 gift card to GameCrazy.  So I am no longer the only person in the world with an xbox and not Halo 2.  So Merry Christmas to all!

I just saw the new Halo 3 Trailer, and it pwns!  It's so amazing!  Can't wait for the game.  In the news article on gamespot they said that it's comprised of video footage and actual game footage, so I suppose that the very end when he jumps into the pack of brutes is what gameplay looks like.  It was awesome.

Last night I played the PS3 and got some hands-on time with the Zune and the other day I played Wii as I've posted.  So I figured I'd review them.

    PS3

I played NBA Live 07 first.  Now this game I've played on 360 and liked.  It was alright for a sports game(which I generally do not like).  On PS3, however, the graphics were amazing.  Sony really hyped up their system's graphics, and they weren't just boasting.  It's really sharp and realistic-looking.  The gameplay was alright, and probably just a hair not as good as the 360, but the graphics bring it up to the point where it's better on the PS3.  Next, I played MotorStorm, which was the only other demo on the PS3.  This game I liked better than NBA Live 07.  The mechanics reminded me a little of the Burnout games.  It was fast like them, and the controls had a similar curve.  The graphics were also extremely sharp.  They were amazing I must admit.  Compared to ExciteTruck for the Wii, it's definently better graphics, however it's not as innovative as ExciteTruck with the controller.  Then again, I didn't get to try motion sensitivity on the PS3, so I suppose I can't really say that.  I'd say the PS3's graphics rival that of a very nice computer.  Other than games, I also watched a PS3 montage video.  The graphics were really good as well, but I noticed they sort of seemed a little less detailed than the games.  It wasn't anything too serious, but it kind of disappointed me after the extreme quality of the other games.  The console itself I'd say looked bigger than I expected.  It was definently bigger than the PS2, and it looked kind of bulky.  But I imagine a smaller one will be made in the near future like Sony did with the PS2.  Unfortunately I didn't get to try out the Sixaxis motion sensitivity because the controller was connected to the screen with a pole-wire-type thing.  Overall, I'd say the PS3 is the best-looking system in graphics, but they seem to only have sports games for demos, which I hope doesn't represent the only game genres available when the system releases.

    Zune

This isn't a game system, but it is pretty cool.  It had very simple, but useful buttons on the front.  It took a while to get used to the interface, but it was still pretty cool when I got the hang of it.  The only things on the demo Zune were videos from what I saw.  There was a nice feature with the videos though, where if you exited in the middle of a video, you could choose the option to restart or continue the video where you stopped.  That'd be really useful if you accidentally clicked the menu button during a video.  I'd say it's better than the iPod, but I don't think it will sell as well because iPod has a bigger name and most people seem to already have one.

    Wii

This was not the most pleasing system in graphics.  The gameplay was very amazing however.  And it's definently worth the amazing price.  The new controller is great.  It's light, it's innovative, and it's motion-sensitive.  It's really easy to connect it with the system, and to carry around too, and you can already see in stores that carrying cases are being sold for it.  This leads one to believe that Nintendo wants people to be able to bring the controller almost anywhere to play Wii at any of their friends' houses.  This is smart, because that leads you to believe that with the price and the benefits, most people will buy a Wii just to have around so when people do come with their controllers they can immediately start playing without trouble connecting wires and everything.  Also it's great for kids.  But that, I fear, might be the downfall.  It's good to have kid-friendly games on a system.  But when a system is afraid to have a little blood in their games, that's when you start to lose fun.  I'm not trying to sound blood-thirsty here or anything like that-but I like to see my enemies explode in gory chunks when I unleash my grenades and bleed from their wounds when I shoot them.  But unfortunately it seems like Wii may just bring us Nickelodeon shows-to-games and nothing surpassing the rating E.  Hey, at least it's got Metroid Prime, Zelda, and Mario!  With those 3 names, they still have my trust.  But lets hope they improve their game selection so that people above the age of 10 can go over to each others' houses and play Wii.

OVERALL: Wii's innovative and easily portable, but too many kids games.  PS3's the sharpest graphics on any console so far, but too many sports games.  Xbox 360 is just right, but it still sucks compared to PC.  I say let's all just get Nvidia GeForce 8800 graphics cards and have lan parties.  That's why I'm saving my money for an amazing computer .

Yesterday my friend told me he played the Wii the previous night at Gamestop.  So that night(last night) I went to see if they really had one.  Of course they did, and I played Excite Truck.  It was pretty fun.  The controller is very innovative, and the motion sensitivity is unique.  It makes you play in a new way, but it does have a learning curve because of the new technology.  After taking a while to get used to it and get the hang of it, it can be really fun however.  I got 2nd place in a single-player race.  My brother got 3rd, and my friend told me he got last.  That means that I'm the first person I know to play the Wii, and the first person to pwn on it.  I think that deserves a reward or something.  At least like a nice gift basket.  Maybe a free meal at Chick Fil A?  Well at least I got the satisfaction of pwning my friend two days before his birthday on a console that wasn't even out yet.  Ah, isn't that what friendship is all about?

I just realized today that yesterday Battlefield 2142, Destroy all Humans 2, and Splitner Cell: Double Agent all came out! I've been following all of those.  Gamespot gave Bf2142 a decent score, saying it's pretty good, but not very new from bf2.  My friend downloaded the demo and says it's terrible, laggy, and not even playable and he said that the ppl on BF2 boards agree.  I don't know, but the Gamespot videos did look kinda laggy in the video review.  I checked the reccomended system reqs and it's 2 gigs, which could explain since i think he only has1.  But hey, that's the price of next gen I guess.

Gamespot hasn't posted their Splinter Cell Double Agent review yet, but all the reader reviews were really, really high.  The lowest I think was an 8.7.  There were a lot of 10's and 9's.  It must be really really good.  Multiplayer sounds amazing, and the singleplayer sounds very interesting.

I don't know much about Destroy All Humans 2 but I found out that it's only for PS2.    Oh well, they'll probably port it to xbox soon anyway.  Co-op will be fun.  Now all they need to add is dual-wielding and flying penguins!

I made my first video and it's really bad I know.  But I plan to have an actual video up soon.  But for now you can see my terrible one.  It's pretty weird cause I put messages in it for my friend who I originally made the video for, so it probably won't make a lot of sense.  Oh well.

This morning I was supposed to meet someone at school, but I was late and they left, the air conditioning shut off at my school and I got a headache, I forgot my history book and my history class is almost across the school from my locker so I had to run to get it, we had to launch water bottle rockets today which my group spent hours and hours and hours on but we still didn't do as well as we had planned, and I got a lot of homework tonight.  But I feel great(yeah sorry for the complaint list, but I'm trying to make a point)!  The reason: Last night I saw the trailer for Halo Wars and they uploaded new Mass Effect screens!  I guess that's not very important to some of you guys, but a Halo rts and Mass Effect are two things that I've been waiting for for a long time.  In celebration, and oreo-induced hyperactivity, I will now talk like Yoda for the remainder of this blog post.

A Halo rts they are making.  Cinematic and amazing the trailer is!  Knocked my socks off it did.  The game I've been looking forward to most Mass Effect is.  Glad to see new screens of it I am.  And eating chicken tonight I am!  YEAH FOR THE CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been watching Pure Pwnage lately.  I finished watching episode 11(the latest one) the other day.  It's probably the best gaming show ever.  If you wanna see it too, go to www.purepwnage.com or do what I do-look it up on YouTube!

    That's FPS Doug.  He's awesome.
