    Figma!

    So it was a few months ago when i realize that being just your normal anime watching guy wasnt enough.. So i watch the anime, download and listen to the songs (OP, ED, Char songs), collect wallpapers (yes i have a lot of em too)... omething was missing.. I wanted something that i can admire physically..

    Then my trip to GACC (Games Anime Comic Circle) event in august that brought the solution : FIGMA

    So starts my new form of collection.. Its actually enjoyable to see your fave characters in 3D form..

    Low Activity eh?

    An old fried of mine reminded me of GS.. So ya decided to visit for a while.. So how have you pple been?

    For me, yeah things have been good...

    1. First semester of Pre-Law is over.. Now on holiday :3
    2. Finally bought meself a PSP 3000, with 20 UMD's haha!

    Also... Haruhi Suzumiya film was announced hours ago... Oh the joy, after the not so haruhiism filled second season (*bows to MM).. 2010 is the date.. Ohh cant wait

    And ya about GS.. I think i might really take my leave... I'm in the progress of requesting my own anime blog at animeblogger.net.. So once i get it, I think its goodbye...

    But no emails yet so no worries then... I'll still spy around the unions abit ahaha

    Farewell Endless Eight (SPOILER)

    After 2 months of torture (for some), and 8 continuous episodes, the Endless Eight Arc of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu 2009 has finally ended. It all ended just like the novel states, homework (haha)

    Ever since the loop started, it has caused a lot of fans to hate the series (Well thats's their problem). If you're a true fan, you would wait patiently till the end before making assumptions. So for those (pardon my direct statement) out there who for example, dropped the ratings of the series, all i have to say is that you should wait till it ends, but ya thats just what I'm saying, not forcing or anything (Like Hitler said, KyoAni wants to test our faith, ask Midgetman for the details bout this haha). But ya i am glad that the arc has ended. KyoAni did a bold move, knowing that pple will be pissed off by it (even the Directer (producer?) of the first season apologized), still, it was a stupid move actually.. 5 episodes should be enough

    So next week (hopefully) begins a new episode, I'm hoping for Disappearence Arc (I love that part in the novel). Too bad there's only 3-4 eps left in the new season huh?

    Anyways, I'm pretty busy as usual, just finished first test, now waiting for second.. I cant belive i only got two more months till first semester at College ends.. man how time flies ( A lot has happened, i gotta loop them haha)

    Mid Semester Break

    Hey everyone how's it been? Long time no see huh....

    A lot has happened at university, all good ones haha... Anime Club has been fun..

    I managed to complete 358/2 days some time ago.. Such a sad ending.. Think I'll get the US version too, so that i wont strain my eyes trying to read all the kanji slowly again... Looks like the manga is up too.. Should be nice (Zexion n Demyx playing twister lol!)

    Other that that, Its been fun last 2 weeks, having a Mio-like partner...

    Too much to say :3

    So college life is great for me.. The campus is awesome, lots of facilities... Food is good, but expensive.. Got cool roomates.. 2 of them are gamers (DOTA FTW!).. Classes are fine, considering the ratio of guys to gals is 1:3 (90 guys, 266 girls)... Overall... Things are great

    For Pre-law students, we have 5 subjects/courses:

    • Communication Skills
    • Consolidating language Skills
    • Intro to Law
    • Malaysian Goverment and Politics
    • Computer Science

    For the first week, intro to law is abit hard on me, mostly the meaning of the words

    So as always, well end the news on the lighter side ( 5 bucks if you can guess the quote)

    I finally got KH 358/2 days.. The game is simply awesome... Graphics, Sounds, gameplay.. 3 Thumbs up.. I'm now on day 10.. Already met Xion.. Oh i love her voice.. So kawaii...

    Still, I heard US version is only 3 months away.. Rejoice pple!

    Also.. Left 4 Dead 2.. Oh man I backflipped twice when i heard the news, thanks to good old SGR for alerting me bout E3 (i dint get to watch)

    Oh well, have fun everyone.. See ya at the unions

    Towards a new future

    Well everyone, the time has come for me to take my leave... College starts tomorrow and I gotta tune in early :3

    I'll be back during weekends, maybe, since the campus is only 90 minutes drive from home.. Once my laptop comes (Ya still havent got it, since its University intake month, everyone is ordering new laptops)

    I might get as active as i am now again, maybe during holidays or at the end of semesters

    Also, a big thank you to all my friends to are still here ever since i came to GS, old and new...

    Daicon: A Celebration of Japanese Modern Visual Culture

    Dang.. 2009 is a really eventfull year... My gaming self is already pumped with stuff like the release of KH 358/2 days, Participating in Cyberfusion World Record Breaking LAN Party, and more...

    What about my anime loving side? Sure lots of great anime are aired this year, such as K-on!, Dragon Ball Kai, Valkyria Chronicles, and more... Should an anime event come buy I'll declare my life to be perfect...

    And so it did

    This july, another big event is coming to Malaysia, Daicon!

    Well, first things first: what is Daicon?

    DaiCon is an expo, being organized on a scale rarely seen in Malaysia. It is an expo that has been created for the sole purpose of showcasing the latest and most innovative in the world of modern Japanese visual culture, from audio to video, print as well as interactive media.

    There will be exhibitions on all facets of modern Japanese visual culture, live hands-on demonstrations, as well as numerous competitions. Besides that, you'll also be able to get an inside look at the thriving and ever-expanding ACG (Anime, Comic and Games) community in Malaysia, with cosplayers showcasing their elaborate and intricate costumes, and fan artists showcasing their high-quality productions for purchase at affordable prices.

    So basicly its an anime convention.. but with a surprise,

    Chihara Minori, famous seiyuu and singer will also be there, performing live in a mini concert during the event. Anime fans wil recognize her for her role as Kagura Tsuchimiya (Ga-rei Zero), Chiaki Minami (Minami-ke) and of course as :

    So this will be an event to be remembered..Hopefully i can attend coz I'll be in college by then.. Luckily, it is held during the weekends so I might be able to drob by for one day just to take a pic of Minorin!

    358/2 days Guide+ Character Imperssion

    Anyway, back to updating...

    Japanese gaming and comic magazine V-Jump is publishing a Heart Collection Guide for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and it goes on sale the same day as the game, May 30 2009. Below is the summary listed on the main site translated

    The book contains character walkthrough profiles for Organization XIII, Riku, and Donald, as well as a walkthrough poster that lists materials to acquire in order to clear the game! In addition, thoroughly collect everything from all 72 missions, items, enemies that appear by day 295!

    The June issue of Nintendo Dream featured Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days play impressions for each member of Organization XIII. While there aren't official reports for Xemnas, Saix, or Xion since they were not available for the testers to try at the time, they still reported some details about them.

    I. XEMNAS - A certain meaning with the wickedest character?

    Though we were not able to play as Xemnas, according to Mr. Hasegawa his movement is heavy but his attack range is wide and brutal to nearby enemies. He seems to be a character that becomes a point in multi-play.

    II. XIGBAR - The role of providing cover fire in multi-play

    He gave players trouble with his Gun Arrows in Kingdom Hearts II because his long distance attacks could be done freely, making him ideal for back up support. However, when you defeat an enemy from a long distance, the troubling issue is that other characters are likely to snatch up the dropped prizes. To aim for the top in the result standings you'll likely need a strategy. His Gun Arrows shoot out multiple bullets at once, it's a flashy attack.

    III. XALDIN - The wide range attacker that swallows up allies

    His weapons are the Lances which boast impressive moves, even his normal attacks seem like special ones. If you enable the 4 player mode setting to "Attack Allies", he is very dangerous. The Lances he manipulates have such a wide range that he won't miss even if your aim is a little off. If you don't want to get in the way of your allies, maybe you'd be better off fighting a little ways from them on your own. Though his movement is sluggish, his attack range and offensive abilities make him attractive.

    IV. VEXEN - His ice $tyle limit break is strong!

    Since he swings around a shield to attack, his range is somewhat short. Since you can respond to an enemy attack with the shield, if your intention is to defend yourself, there isn't a more reliable character. His limit break that sends pillars of ice flying forward is very powerful. Because it is an attack that can take down enemies in one blow, you'll want to use it in the case of emergency. Vexen's limit break sends pillars of ice flying.

    V. LEXAEUS - His movement is slow, but the power of a single blow is far superior

    Though his movements are heavy according to his appearance, the biggest surprise comes from the time before he releases an attack. There is an interval if you hold the A button, he stores energy and then releases a harsh attack at once. So even though he isn't any good for attacking and moving quickly, his high offensive abilities become handy when battling against bosses and large enemies. His powerful attacks are suitable for attacking large enemies with high HP.

    VI. ZEXION - He has a good limit break that can attack wide range

    Though we wondered what kind of attacks a weapon like the Lexicon would do, the impression is that his attacks are regular with the exception that the reach is more or less short. During his limit break he does not move from his spot and since the damage it deals afflicts a wide range of enemies and sends them flying into the air, we get the feeling the skill is very useful. His limit break is an indiscriminate attack type that shoots out dark balls.

    VII. SAIX - He is the ruthlessly attacking type and is easy to use

    Like Xemnas, information on Saix has not been publicly revealed yet. If you think about how he was in Kingdom Hearts II, his standard form of attack came from the Claymore sword he uses. Perhaps his limit break will involve going into Berserk mode and releasing violent attacks? The violent side of Saix will be shown off in this title.

    VIII. AXEL - Doing combos and using limit break is easy with him

    We got the impression that he is overall well balanced and easy to use. The combos are especially easy to use, and depending on the partner, doing combos in rapid succession would probably be sufficient. During his limit break it is possible to shoot fireballs in rapid succession. Even if you're a long way off from the enemy, it's alright since it's easy to use too. Shooting his fireball attacks are easy to do, his $tyle is suitable for beginners.

    IX. DEMYX - There can be different uses of combo attacks

    He is a unique character who uses a stringed instrument much like a guitar called a sitar as a weapon. He is an easy to use character with a balance of good abilities. You can alter the combo by pressing a button during the attacks and they'll diverge into 2 patterns. A situation may arise when using the different combos will be necessary. The figure fighting with the sitar is very cool!

    X. LUXORD - The card attacker with long reach!

    Since he fights by throwing cards, it's his characteristic to have a long reach of attacks. It seems you can launch an enemy into the air if you hit them with the cards. If you collaborate with everyone, the enemy Luxord launched into air can be barraged by the other's attacks. Luxord aims at his enemies and releases the cards upon them. He's a logistical support type?

    XI. MARLUXIA - He has attacks that work 360 degrees without blind spots

    Marluxia fights swinging the scythe, though his attacks appear slow, the single blow of his scythe sweeps the entire circumference, clearing the few behind blind spots too. Because his limit break will damage neighboring enemies at a stretch too, he can easily cope with being surrounded by enemies. His attacks not only swing across the front, but it turns around all 360 degrees.

    XII. LARXENE - She seems to make quick sport of enemies with her fast movement

    Though the knife attacks she uses have a short reach, she can attack immediately with great speed so the impression of having a disadvantage is not received. When playing in multi-play, since her movement is very fast, she can gather up more prizes then the other players, making her considerably advantageous. Even though she uses knives, she doesn't attack by throwing them.

    XIII. ROXAS - He has quick speed and is easy to use

    His play $tyle resembles that of Sora from the main Kingdom Hearts series. He is easy to use and his movement speed is fast. As for his limit break, it is a so called 'system of dancing wildly'. Though a magnificent attack can be initiated by repeatedly hitting the button, there is the issue of your attacks not hitting the enemy if you move out of range, therefore make sure to aim carefully. Since the feeling of operating him is the same as Sora, he is easy for Kingdom Hearts fans to use.

    XIV. XION - Will she be possible to use in multi-play?

    We've seen the figure of Xion in story mode, but it is not yet decided whether she is a usable character at the moment. If she can be played, assuming her weapon is a Keyblade like Roxas, will her type likely resemble him? We're anxious to know what her limit break would be like. Xion's vibe seems more agile than Roxas, is her movement quick?

Some 358/2 days stuff includes new vids of Xaldin and Luxord gameplay.. I say, Luxord does play more cards than time Still he looks great to use, just slow...

    Lets start with bad news first: Turns out i have to be at UiTM (College) on the 23.. Yes this 23rd .. So an early intake really.. Been busy these few days, buying stuff and going for medical checkups.. Lucky the campus is a 90 minute drive from home, so I'll still be able to visit everyone here on weekeds, or once I buy my new Laptop and bring it there

    So yeah I've just started to watch the Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya series.. A bit late coz i hate streaming, and found a place to get it (secret)

    The series is 100% funny..Especially Nagato (personal favourite).. Cant stop ROLFing.. Too bad only 5 mins per ep eh?

    So Yesterday nintendo has confirmed the next in installment of the Poke-Series: HeartGold and SoulSilver, remakes of the original Gold and Silver game released for the faithful Gameboy 10 years ago..Japan release slated for November or December (Nah no plans to import, since pokemon names in japan stinks)

    So yesterday results of university applications was announced, and i got what i wanted, sort off.. 3 Semesters (1 semester = 6 months, I actually asked for only 2 semesters) of Pre-Law at UiTM, a local but very prestigious Institute of Higher Education (University, duh).. So on 4th May Letters will come, and I need to get ready for everything, stuffs and all... I wanna make sure everything is prepared by the end of May so that i can have one month (june) to relax before i go.. I'll be joining the July Intake, so its 2 more months

    Anyway the Institute has very good facilities, so WiFi or internet connections wont be a problem.. Meaning i can still drop by to visit blogs and Unions, like MM and Gr33n does all the time

    KH 358/2 Days new trailer

    As told by Heartstation, This new trailer has been seen at most gameshops throughout japan.. I asked one of my firends living there (Shy_Guy_Red) if he's seen any, but said no.. I assume this vid is only shown in game shops in central cities (maybe )

    Anyway.. Most of the scenes are already familiar with us, but the catch is the scenes on the back, which shows a few interesting things..

    Birthday Suprises

    We'll I'm finally 18.. Today was a rather supprising day, mostly because its the first time i ever got what i wanted without asking, well sort off... A few of the presents were...

    • Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon: Sora no Tankentai for NDS ( I got this 2 days earlier)
    • World of Warcraft Set (includes Burning Crusade and Lich King)
    • Fallout 3
    • And some cash

    I dunno if I should start playing WoW, coz i heard all bout the addiction.. And I'm already paying for Ragnarok Online... The orange box, i dunno what to do now that i have 3 of em... The Mystery dungeon is fun enough, with new stuff and all.. And Fallout 3.. Well i dunno bout you guys but i think I'll play it last..

    Wish RE5 was for the PC too.. dang...

    Also i started to design, using GIMP... Now I've started making sigs and stuff for unions like JCU...

    Level up, 358/2 days Official Boxart and Updates

    Well i leveled up again, Defias Brotherhood.. Whatever that means .. Now back to updating KH:

    GoNintendo posted the official Japanese boxart for Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. The box art looks really nice and probably will be in the international releases.

    Also Kotaku reported that Square Enix has revealed its worldwide sales figures for three of it's most popular franchises. Those franchises include Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Dragon Quest. Final Fantasy has raked up a whopping 85 million units. Dragon Quest has earned the company 47 million units. And our beloved franchise Kingdom Hearts has earned Square Enix a nice 12 million units.

    And in other news, famitsu monthly magazine has published four scans on Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. The scans feature Vexon, Zexion, and Marluxia in battle. It also includes a scene with Axel and Roxas talking to Hayner, Pence, and Olette.

    Crash and Burn

    Well nothing much has been happening to me, still trying to adjust back to my normal sleeping time.. I cant seem to sleep earlier than 4 pm since Cyberfusion I also stopped working at my aunt's hotel, coz University preperations might begin, so I'm just staying home, waiting for interviews..

    • Crash: Yeah aparently some middle aged chinese man hit my car's bumper (now its smashed).. The guy was talking on the phone and didnt notice the red light and BAM!.. There gos my bumper .. The car's in repair, and the wiseguy was fined (I dint get fined coz i'm the victim, and I'm a 'P' driver)
    • Burn: The house beside my Grampa's house got on fire.. When i heard the news, i quickly ran there on foot (My gramparents house are just couple of miles away).. The old wooden house was on fire, but lucky there was no wind, otherwise... Apparently 2 drug addict 'accidentally' set up the fire.. Me and other neighbours managed to catch the 2 lowlifes, then the police took care of them . The fire dept. managed to put out the fire, and everything was Ok, no casualties

    Speaking of University, I was rather bummed when i got an offer to Metric Institution (Its like College but more to Science), A friend told me that if you get Metric, you wont get University offers, which would be bad for my future (coz i cant study science to take up law).. Only hope that the rumor isnt true (Results on whether i get accepted to Universities or not will come out on 1st may), Or else I'll be force to take Art Stream Pre-U (Also known as Form 6, meaning its back to skool )

    Oh well. I hope everyone else is having a good time

    A tale of 2 games..

    Nah just wanted a cool title haha, thought there is something related

    So I'm back from Cyberfusion.. man the event was epic.. I played L4D like 20 hours, and it still wasnt enough

    Overall the event was a great success, never knew malaysians had the innovation to organize such events..

    The world record for Longest LAN Party in the World is now 274 participants (LAN party only, not counting competitions) for 40 Hours (They extended it at the 37th hour, to make sure the record will be harder to be broken )

    During the events, I recieved a lot of freebies, mostly online games, and also all REcord breakers recieved goodie bags that contain Orange Box (now i have two) and AMD Athlon X2 Black Edition Processors (Yes for free).. Too bad i dont have to use it, since I'm already with a Core 2 Duo

    There was also a booth that sells old games.. and I finally managed to grab my hands on my all time most wanted game, Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic (I have KOTOR 2 already)

    Also, I managed to get Platinum after asking the local game shop to order one.. Bless him

    I'm off!

    Yup, I'm off to CyberFusion! The event is 2 days from now, but i need to be at the state a day earlier to buy some stuff... Lucky they have also have Handheld and Console Party, so i can bring my DS, and have a few battles (My dex is one pokemon short, Celebi ) Hopefully i can get Platinum there too

    Well my flight is on 1350 GMT +8, so i have to get enough rest today...

    Well wish me luck.. I'll try to post or have my MSN online there if possible

    I'll be back in 5 days (on 12th April, maybe)
