  God of War Collection Leave my PS2 in the dust...

  So like, what the hell Sony? You tout the "product lifecycle" of the PS2 and one reason why I bought my silver slim machine was to play God of War 1 and 2. Now you release the first two games in a new HD release and I'm left wondering... isn't this shooting yourself in the foot?

  On top of that, while you're re-rendering games, why not give us Chains of Olympus on the PS3?

  Yes, I plan to get a PSP for that, and other games, and to remote play with my PS3, yada yada yada.

  But heck... might be nice to play it in HD as well.

  Being a God of War fan, I guess I'm also torn. I want the GOW Collection now. I want to play them in HD and love every vicious bloody moment of Kratos's wrath. But... I would feel wierd about my PS2. My love for the middle child in my Playstation family will be tarnished. It will be the outcast it was destined to be, despite her creators pledge of product lifecycles and software support.

  Sure, I've still got other unfinished games; Okami, a couple of Ratchet and Clanks, and Killzone 1 (which will probably remain unplayed considering it kinda sucks). But now, the 250gig baby of the family is craving to be fed, and I may never again turn on my silver slim "two-ie". Kratos would have been my reason to give her a little attention now and then. But alas, he has found a new domain to hack and thrash, and in his absence, the dust has begun to collect on my PS2.
