PS3 Press Conference
Ok, here's my Sony E3 P.C. in a nutshell. Starts late, and I'm like WTF, but admiring the irony. It starts and some dude shows up and talks about systems most already own then finally get to the PS3. Then I notice during the "live demos", different controller! But I must be the only one who sees it like the sixth sense cause nobody on stage acknowledges it. Finally after a dozen or more "aight" game prevs, I see a few cool ones, 8 days, MGS4 and FFXIII. Resistance isn't bad either, like Halo meets WWII. Finally they get to the "innovative" controller thats supposed to change the world. Sadly its a poor man's Wii controller and not that impressive because I been tilting controllers since SNES Mario Kart. Then they get to price which is higher than neccessary for a ray of Blu-ness I don't see neccessary for another 2 years. If you can fit San Andreas on one disc, how many games really need that much more space? All that said, i'll still probably get one late 2007, once all the glitches and mods from early systems get going. Until then, I'll go with a 360, pending the news of FFVII remake on PS3 which forces me to change my mind.- Posted May 9, 2006 8:00 am PT
