    January Playtime Leaderboards!.

Quiet month. Exams, assignments, summatives, projects, presentations and yadda yadda. No one likes December and January in school.

    1. [3DS] Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked - 19 hours (95 hours)
    2. [3DS] Mario Kart 7 - 10 hours (38 hours)
    3. [3DS] Pushmo - 7 hours (NEW!)
    4. [WII] The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - 6 hours (10 hours)
    5. [PC] Simcity 4 - 5 hours (23 hours)
    6. [N64] The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - 2 hours (NEW!)
    7. [NES] Kirby's Dreamland - 1 hour (NEW!)

So yep. Handhelds still pretty much dominate my life I guess I just don't have enough time at home to finish up console games. I think the sweet spot, in terms of length, for console games is 10-20 hours. Sadly, most my console backlog consists of 40+ hour games. Zelda is probably around 50-60 hours, Monster Hunter Tri is probably 100+ hours, and I'm being peer pressured (by PUSH) to buy Dark Souls, which is 50+ hours. I don't know how I'll have time for all these...

For February, I'm going to try my best to finish up Skyward Sword, and hopefully get a decent start in Monster Hunter Tri. I'm also really interested in getting Tales of the Abyss for the 3DS, but that will probably have to wait until I finish SS and MH3. I also really need to pick up Radiant Historia soon. The prices on eBay are crazy (almost $100!) but funnily enough, the game is readily available at 2 or 3 of my local stores. There's a rumour of a reprint so the prices are going to come down, which is nice.

Here's to hoping SS and MH3 can revive console gaming for me

    December Playtime Leaderboards

Here's what I've been playing recently!

    1. [3DS] Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked - 37 hours (76 hours)
    2. [3DS] Mario Kart 7 - 28 hours (NEW!)
    3. [PC] SimCity 4: Deluxe Edition - 10 hours (18 hours)
    4. [WII] The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - 4 hours (NEW!)
    5. [3DS] Super Mario 3D Land - 2 hours (15 hours)
    X. [3DS] Swapnote - 7 hours (NEW!)

What can I say? I HEART my 3DS. I'm currently on my third playthrough of Devil Survivor. This game's really addictive, I just wish it had better save features. I forget to save a lot and end up having to replay certain sections Mario Kart 7 is LOVE! Especially playing with the SW community. There's nothing like a good ol' game of Mario Kart. I except this game to dominate the leaderboards for a long time to come

I don't get enough time to play Zelda I wish there was a handheld version. The artsty1e is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm enjoying the story so far. I just wish I had more time to play it... I guess you'll be seeing that game at the bottom of the leaderboards for months to come.

I'm addicted to SimCity as always I'm building a medium sized city of around 1.5 million people. I'm a terribly slow builder though. In the 18 hours I've played I've only managed to get 115,000 of that 1.5 million goal I love developing train and bus networks and stuff though, and the beautiful parks *_* I should buy a train simulator game lol. I want to buy the DS version, but I'm scared the game will be really boring without the mods...

So fellow readers (don't know how many of you there are left ) What was your top game of December 2011?

    November Playtime Leaderboards!

    1. [3DS] Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked - 39 hours (NEW!)
    2. [3DS] Super Mario 3D Land - 13 hours (NEW!)
    3. [PC] Simcity 4 Deluxe Edition - 8 hours (8 hours)
    4. [X360] Blazblue: Continuum Shift - 3 hours (13 hours)
    5. [X360] Bayonetta - 3 hours (24 hours)

Looks like 3DS revived gaming for me I finishedSuper Mario 3D Land. I don't know if I'm going to play it anymore, but that was a great game. The best Mario game I've played in a loooong time. I want to finish all the levels with Luigi to get the stars (the completionist in me demands so!). However,Devil Survivoris hogging all the play time! This game is soooo awesome, I'm almost finished but I don't want it to end. I haven't felt that way in... well, actually this is the first time. I only got the game a week ago, it can't finish now!

I think this is a pretty important gaming year for me. It's time to put the Xbox to rest. There aren't many games that interest me coming out for it.Lollipop Chainsawand thePersona fighterlook to be the only definites for the next. I also need to playDark Souls. I'm a bit iffy onMax Anarchy. I really only have faith in it because it's made by PlatinumGames. The trailer looks very underwhelming though. The Wii is also pretty much dead. I need to playKirby,Skyward Sword, and theTrauma Centregames, andMonster Hunterif I can get to that.

The future of the 3DS however is very bright! This month, I'm gettingMario Kart 7. It's a definite since I have it on pre-order (which netted me $15 store credit 8)). Next year looks very promising withDevil Survivor 2,Phoenix Wright x Layton,Professor Layton,Paper Mario,Luigi's Mansion,Dragon Quest VII Remakeabove others. There only a few 3DS games I need to catch up on. I really want to get intoHarvest Moon. I also want to know what is with all the rage forPicross 3DandMario Picross. It looks like a load of fun

Game time for November is 66 hours up from 27 hours for October. I can thank my Nintendo 3DS overlords for that
