First off Nintendo. There is really nothing to say about Nintendo any more. I think there place as a gaming console is lost forever based off this press event. I am really Animal Crossing was suppose to be the "Core" gamer game? Or what about GTA on the DS? Are you kidding me? This is a joke right? From start to finnish their press event was completely boring. Boring is probably the best way to describe Nintendo's press event.But don't feel bad Nintendo at least you won the Best use of Power Point award. Hell i didn't even think you can surpass MS charts and graphs but you did. You stand alone with the best Power Point Presentation.

Second is Sony. While you can tell that the change from Last year to this year in terms of atitude and presentations. Unfortunately Sony didn't come out as the clear winner as last years E3 Press Event but gave a strong 2nd place. First of all DID YOU SEE RESISTANCE 2!!!!?!?!?!?!? OMFG!!! That boss or whatever that is was HUGE. While the game did still have some work to do but really that demo of R2 really blew me away in terms of scale. THen they showed off the new trailer was all in game which was amazing. I for one can't wait to pick up this title.

Also how can we forget about Little Big Planet demoed while Jack Tretton was showing off there numbers. At least they took the time out to make numbers and graphs fun. I will admit that i was not all that hyped about Little Big Planet but after seeing more of it today and the new trailer made me rethink it again.

Next up is the surprise but not really a surprise announcment about the video store. Which we all knew was coming but more surprising is that all that stuff will be avaible to us TONIGHT. Yes i said TONIGHT. Not tommorow not this fall or next fall. TONIGHT which to me is a huge deal considering MS unveiled theirs yesterday but won't come out till the Fall Update.

Playstation Home made a showing while not live but did show us what Warhawk and Resistance Home Spaces look like and I have to say THAT LOOKS AWESOME. I really like this Home Spaces for games which allows publishers and developers to connect directly to there fans for instant feedback. While Jack did say that Home is still in Beta but we will all be able to join the beta really soon which is good because with MS going the route they did seems like they copied straight from Sony and Ninentdo.

Anyway Sony while only in trailer form showed off Infamous which was very impressive and can't wait for peoples hands-on impressions with this title. Then there is this little teaser trailer for GOD OF WAR III. Yes i said GOD OF WAR III. WHile that was also in trailer form and looks like CGI I am just Happy they showed something for God of War III which was awesome if I might say. Also I get the since that Sony is not just looking at games coming out this year but also next yea. Anway Zipper Intereactive showed off a Trailer for there up coming game Massive Action Game or M.A.G. which will have a crazy 256 mulitplayer game. NOW THAT IS JUST CRAZY!!! Well if it works very well on R2 then this can work as well.

So as for all 3 press events I come out feeling a little underwhelmed by the lack of new stuff and not stuff we knew 2 or 3 weeks ago. I am talking about Brand New IP's like Infamous and Little Big Planet. While those 2 games i just named were brand new but they also been shown to us already. I for one hate Nintendo now more than ever with that press event they had and quite frankly just piss in your face and say we making money so to heck with you. THen MS your press event was boring nothing we didn't see coming because you have so many leaks that none of your announcments were interesting. I even found the live demo's they had with Fallout 3 , RE5, and Gears of War 2 to be kinda underwhelming. Also that whole avater/ Mii with the spaces and stuff sounds all to familar to me. Oh yeah that is right it is called Playstation Home and Mii's. Funny part is they called it innovation?? Then there is Sony which I think couldn't recover from the slap that Square Enix did to them. While the more details are coming out about what really happened and how all this is going to go down it still hurts. Now it is a good move for gamers and square which always took care of themeselves. They did it to Nintendo and they are doing it to Sony. The moment that announcement flew out his mouth there was no way that Sony could top that. Even the might God of War III trailer seemed smalled compared to that announcement. Also what is with MS and Nintendo with the power point presentations??

So in my opinion the winner of the best E3 Press Event will be NO ONE!!! While the XIII anoucnment was huge it doesn't waranty being the sold factor of makeing best E3 Conference. Now if that annoncment would have never taken place or taken place like in the 2 weeks ago then I think the winner would have been Sony because of the fact that they showed this year line up plus what to look forward to next year. That is what E3 is about. Showing your titles for this year and what to expect next year. While I would have liked to hear more about the new IP's which were plenty to choose from. Nintendo doesn't even deserved to be mentioned in this because they are no longer a console maker in my eyes. Just a toy maker.

In all Square Enix is the big winner in all this and the biggest Judas of this generation. Matter of fact Square is the modern day Judas of our time. I will leave it at that.

UPDATE: Looks like Microsoft does have human beings working in there mist. In a press release thanks to our guys at Giant Bomb they have revealed they will adding new features as well a long issue i had with PC Monitor Support. Check it.

Ok to I am over the intial shock of the FF13 on 360 because of new information that is coming in as we speak. So stay tuned.

Now this impression is going to be short because alot of what MS Press Briefing was suppose to be a secret. Well someone forgot to tell MS that. In-fact MS entire briefing was everything but exciting. Matter of fact I get this whole I been here before feel to it . It is largely because of the fact nothing was announced today was a surprise besides the fact of FF13 coming to the 360 one day. All the casual game push midway thru the breifing was ok but I have to talk to you about the whole Mii's on Xbox thing.

When i first heard about it about month ago It seemed like a great idea but will I just brushed it off as plain old rumor. Well the thing is that it is real. Now I am curious as how all this is going to work out. The concept looks great but as I say before this all seem familar. Oh yeah Playstation Home and Nintendo Mii. Yeah almost a fusion of all 3 things together. Home, Mii's, and Xbox Live. I am very happy that they added a party chat in the system since many people from MS said that why would want to have people talking on the system like that. Yeah eat your own words. LOL!!

Anyway the games that was showed wasn't all that awesome as I was hoping it to be. I don't know maybe because we were covered to our eye balls with so many leaks and Gears of War 2 kinda drowned out MS Press Event. That is just me. Even the Resident Evil 5 Gameplay and the reveal of Co-Op which i am not sold on because obvious reasons. Even Fallout 3 which i was looking forward to seem to be drab or was it because of the lame commentary it had. I don't know but the MS press briefing was underwhelming to me. They announced the movie studios like NBC and Universal will be on the 360 download list but many of the shows you can watch for free on there respected websites. Now the number one thing everyone is talking about Final Fantasy XIII.

Now I don't know if you read my previous post but I am not all that happy about what Square Enix did today. While as a gamer I am glad the FFXIII is hitting on another console because it give people the chance who once called the FF series overrated and lame to give this game a try. Hopfully the experience people will have when they put that disc or multiple disc's for the first time and have the intro playing will give you the same feeling i had when i first played Final Fantasy VII. But.....

The fanboy inside me has a huge problem with this. First of all Square Enix you lied to the fans that you guys were working on the something when infact you were spending your time trying to get your money lined up when you should have been pay attention to your fans. THen to disrespect us by showing the same damn trailer from 2 years ago and saying it was realtime is just BS in my eyes and others see it too. What are you trying to prove to me Sqaure Enix? That you are not about the fans because you keep making bad spin offs to one of the greatest RPGS ever made and expect us to just be happy about this announcement? Yeah right. Also as I type this Square may have already had there Press Event and from what I read it seems pretty clear that you had no intentions of releasing this game this year and in fact you are going to HOLD THE PS3 VERSION TILL THE 360 VERSION IS UP AN RUNNING. Yeah Square you sure are smart. I can't wait to play watered down version of my favorite franchise and having the content drastically reduced because of it. I am just plain mad right now. A mad Fanboy and a mad gamer because either way i have to wait even longer for the next installment in the Final Fantasy Series.

So tell me what you thought of the press conference? What is what you expected or blew your expectations out of the water?

SIDE NOTE: What was going on with Gamespot Live Coverage. At one point the site was almost down for a good while. Had to go over to IGN.COM to watch the live event and they had better quality as well. Anyone experience this problem? Well See you guys for Nintendo's and Sony's Press Event.

Thats right I called him the Snake because only Snakes sneak around and do nothing for 2 years just to show us the same damn trailer from E306. Really Square I am really pissed at you for this. Not necessary at Sony while they do share the blame but you could of at least showed SOMETHING NEW. YOU GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU GUYS ARE AT WORK AND NOT TRYING TO MAKE SURE YOUR POCKETS ARE FILLED.

Now the only way Square can save themeselves is an announce that you are in fact working on FFVII Remake for the PS3. Since the 360 already is getting all the RPGS can we have at least one?

I don't care if i sound like a fanboy. Let me be rant for a while. I just don;t like the fact that you have been working on this game since 2005 and all you have is a 2 year old trailer THAT YOU SAID IS REALTIME which is confirmed to be BS just by you showing the trailer today. Then keeping your fans in the dark for the latter part of 2 years and counting. So yeah I hate Square Enix right now. I stil plan on getting FF13 on MY PS3 but SQUARE YOU ARE LIKE 2 STEPS AWAY FROM BEING PUSHED INTO AN AIRLOCK.

Round Two Nintendo you are up.

Now I will not lie when I tell you I don't like Nintendo. Not one bit. I think Nintendo while the big winner in terms of sales but on the flip side of things there games are just don't have no kind of appeal to me at all. Not one game on their system gets me excited. No product they announce is going to change that and with increasing efforts to disregard the hardcore gamer as if the mean nothing to them is sad to watch.

With that said I think Nintendo will try to make up for it by showing us some game that Reggie himself said " Will bring the core audience back." Unless it is a TRUE NEW ZELDA or METRIOD PRIME other than that there is nothing. Reports are coming in saying that Nintendo will announce finally Animal Crossing for the Wii along with a host of new ideas for their so called Online Network. Which is still a joke considering what Xbox Live has and what PSN has as well. So what should Nintendo do at this E3?

Me personally they really need to address the shovel ware problem from 3rd party developers. Let's face it the games are crap at best on the Nintendo Wii and it isn't all Nintendo's fault but they share part of the blame. The Wii-Mote is a good and bad thing for you. The good is you will be able to cash in on those who never gamed every in there life while the bad thing is you run into the whole gimmick stage. I think most if not all 3rd party games are craptastic ports with Wii-Motion slapped on top of it. Now there are other games that were critically successful but in terms of sales they barely made it up there. Like Bloom Blox but no one bought it. Something is wrong here don't you think?

Well that time of the year is almost upon us to embark on a great journey to enlightenment. Ok maybe not quite like that but you will be enlightened when E3 rolls around next week starting Monday morning. So lets get to it. I am going to go in order of appearance base on the E3 Schedule that was just released. Every day i will release each of My Big 3 Predictions for E3 as well as improvements. On the last day I will tell you my top ten games I want to see at E3. Enjoy

Round One Microsoft.

First off let me get this off my chest now before it effects my opinion. I think MS made a big mistake by revealing to the world that Gears of War 2 was in the works at GDC way in February. Now here we are in the month of June you bombard us with all this gameplay footage before E3 even starts. Me personally I think Gears of War 2 should have been revealed and then shown to the whole world the first stage of Gears of War 2 or that level that was shown on Gametrailers TV. I think that should have been there biggest game at their Press Event.

Now I expect Microsoft to finally shed some kind of light on what the hell Peter Jackson has been up to with this Halo Project. Even though I remain skeptical of it because of the fact that a well known MOVIE DIRECTOR is making a well known game but i am willing to eat my own words if what they show gets me excited. It can't be any worst than Halo 3 right? Also the Bungie exclusive game that will be announced sometime during or around this event will be revealed which I hoping does not have Master Chief in it. Expect to see more details on Halo Wars for the 360. Now I hope this turn out to be wrong but all these rumors are starting to add up to something big at E3 for MS. The Motion Like Controller that is supposed to be like the Nintendo Wii's Wiimote might be announced along with a game title that you already know about it so I will leave that out there for now. Now I don't know anyone notice that the Xbox 360 didn't get its Spring Update this year which is making that rumor about MS making their own version of Mii's more probable. It make since considering that the 360 dashboard hasn't really received a facelift since the launch of the console. So the timing is right about what they are going to do with that to keep people interested. Also expect something big from the boys over there at Epic Games about Gears of War 2 and maybe just maybe a glimpse at Mass Effect 2? So what should MS do at their Press Event?

I really want MS to do something about the situation with PC games considering their Operation System is the one being used to make this games anyway. What was that big announcement you made at GDC called the PC Gaming Alliance. You would think with Intel, Nivida, , Dell, and AMD on your side things on the PC would start to go up. NOT!!! Just purchase Mass Effect for the PC and it says on the box Bringing down the sky DLC is avaible for free. Right? Nope come to find out there is no Bring down the Sky DLC and the only response from EA is "Soon". Now you know how much faith I have in that statement right?

Now for Xbox Live and your products. THEY NEED A PRICE DROP NOW!!! Why I ask for a price drop for Xbox Live? Because your Competition Sony and Nintendo mainly Sony are catching up to your level of service. With the recent 2.40 update for the PS3 which will allow all upcoming games to have the same features that made Xbox Live better on the 360. Things like Achievements which are Trophies, In-Game Dash which are In-Game XMB, Xbox Live which is Playstation Network, and with the exception of the obvious which is In game chat Sony will be matching your service. Why not counter that with a price drop in Xbox Live from 50 bucks a year to 25 bucks a year. Sounds like a fair price to me? Hell you might get more users to join Xbox Live because of it. Same goes for the Xbox 360 add-ons or upgrades. Namely the Xbox 360 Hard Drive. That Hard Drive needs to come down in price as soon as possible because of the fact that you charge a 179.99$ for a 120gb Hard Drive where the PS3 can choose from a host of 3rd party hard drives for more than half that price and get more space as well. It just makes since to me.
