So the day is finally here, although i've been insanely preoccupied for the past month with SSBB, i'm counting down the hours till the midnight release of Mario Kart for the Wii!
I have the $5 deposit down and it entitles me to the a free Wii Wheel with my purchase. Definitely writing a review for this one. i'll probably be playing all night long with my brother and laughing it up as i smash one kart into another with the handling of the wheel.
As soon as i figure the online aspect of the game i'll post the FC and begin my quest to be the best kart rider ![]()
Due to the inconvenient power outage in the area of Queens, i was forced away from the pc and onto the mean streets of reality! I played handball of course, worked on paper work for the office and had a small opporunity to bond with the brother and family in all.
I contacted my internet service provider this morning and in a mater of seconds he resolved the issue and i was once safe and secure. My connection speed has improved, surprisingly i see this as a consilation for my days of suffering and abondenment ![]()
I notice that being out and about makes me feel healthy and vigorous. I'm not saying that i constantly stay at home confined to my laptop but it's nice to noe that if i didnt have the internet at arms reach that i could always keep myself busy wth important things!
In an unexpected turn of events I was given the opportunity to make some extra money yesterday. As a window cleaner I am frequently presented with side jobs here and there. As I finished the second to last window on the 11th floor of an office building located on 5th avenue, I witnessed an explosion of sorts. the previous street was crowded with cars and as the light turned green, all of them raced down the street. This is the average scene at downtown Manhattan daily, but on this day as the vehicles cruised down the street, one car veered off of the road, rolled onto the sidewalk and smashed into a Subway's restaurant located on the corner. No matter how high up i was on the building the sound of the crash echoed into my ears as if i had been a few feet away from the accident. By the time i found my way down the elevator and onto the scene... 5 fire trucks, 3 ambulances, 2 police cars, and what seemed to be dozens of officers filled the streets. As i maneuvered my way through the crowds i found the doorman on the corner and he explained that the driver of the vehicle had suffered a heart attack and lost complete control of his car. I believe he was put into one of the ambulances but i didn't actually see him. There was a woman in the car which had been removed from the store and parked in front. She was being treated by paramedics. Of course this incident would make anyone start questioning life and wondering how easy it can be for it to be all over. Leaving all depressing thoughts aside, i choose to instead think about how funny it is a way that people dread death daily but run towards an accident for a glimpse of it first hand.
Now that all of the horrible stuff is out of the way i can move onto exciting good news like the nite i had yesterday! As i got home last nite i noticed climbing the steps that my usually quiet unoccupied room was now full with the noise of laughter and taunting that could only derive from my brother and his friends experience with SSBB! I scurried to my bed, grabbed my classic controller and joined the battle. For the next 7 hours my world consisted of Domino's pizzas, liters of Sprite, and Brawlin' with a vast number of competitors. I had noticed that the time was flying by when my brother told me that his friends were sleeping over. Brawl is the greatest game to play among friends. Even though I didn't have a high win percentage it was still one of the greatest gaming nights of all time!
Something to look at since Akuma seems to always be mad ![]()
So many of you out there might believe that most gamers are just that... gamers! So many of us know in fact that the world does not revolve around video games, although that would be an amazing thought. I am lucky to say that I play a sport that many outside of NYC have never played or even heard of. I am a devoted Handball player, I love everything about it. When games died down for the Gamecube i literally left my house at 8 am everyday over the summer as my GC lay unplayed for months. My brother and I are very skilled players. We have been playing for at least 5 years now and proud of it.
Why do I choose to write about this, for one, many people have no clue on what Handball is or why they haven't seen it on ESPN
The reason is because it never took off as every other sport has. I am here to inform people that just like basketball, soccer, football, and baseball, handball is a sport, very fun to learn and with the warm weather approaching, an idea out there for those who want to take on a sport that doesn't already have a Michael Jordan at their local park who will destroy them as soon as thet step onto the court.
Also... this leads to my next reason as to why I am discussing the game. There are so many sport games out there. So many on the Wii, Decas sports, Wii sports, Sega Tennis... maybe it's time to introduce a handball game?!?! ponder it for a while, i know i have
I will soon, if i have time, discuss and or design a format for the game, and hopefully it will catch on. I am very serious about this even though the game itself is quite entertaining and fun! Be ready to read more on this is weeks to come
Thanks again in advance to all the readers ![]()

Side Note: Took a day off of work, raining in NYC. I'm watching Batman & Robin on the tube and I just now realize that this movie is ridiculous... it wasn't even that good. I guess it was the youth that put me on the edge of my seat when I first viewed it all those years ago. I'll keep watching it hough since it has been a couple of years ![]()
SSBB WFC has improved so very much! It has made me very happy to see that Nintendo is maintaining their servers and looking out for those who count on achieving lag-free online play ![]()
I played tonight for about 4 hours straight and had NO lag! None... maybe it's the people who i played with, but it was as if i were playing with 3 people rite next to me... Awesome!
I will keep updating the state of online play for Brawl in order for people who visit my profile know how NYC is fairing connection wise on the WFC ![]()
Side Note: I rented Dan In Real Life, funny movie... not Carell's best work, but worth the rent i guess
Also.. not what i expected from him in a movie... i figure he's trying to change his movie persona a lil' before he becomes another Will Ferrell (Stranger Than Fiction= Disaster!)... That is all! Watch It!
