I can't help but feel that since the cancellation of Stargate Atlantis the Scifi channel has exhibited a downhill trend in show quality. The Stargate series best in SG-1 and Atlantis have ended, and with only Stargate Atlantis Extinction on the book and no release date set I'm anxious to see if it still represents the best of the show that was replaced with crap. As for the spin-off Universe I'm not impressed, and the trailer has me thinking it's a rip-off and will be disappointing overall. Eureka, which returns soon, will be the only show I find that has any redeeming qualities created by SciFi itself. Instead of producing a new show that could potentially draw the remaining Stargate or Battlestar Galactica fan base British shows such as Primeval and Dr. Who are on. These shows are disappointing in acting, the actors themselves, quality and plot. Of course, SciFi's own shows they are replacing their best with are discouraging and difficult to like. For instance the new show Warehouse 13 reminds me of an inferior and short-lived show aired on ABC Family a while ago. With the disappointing ending to Battlestar Galactica, which should have been a great show well into the fourth year there is little to look forward to in the channel's immediate future.

SciFi's entire image has changed. I refuse to refer to it by the new name SyFY. Just because they thought it made the channel sound "geeky." Well, the logic is simple, SciFi stand for Science Fiction; it's what the channel is supposed to be about. I don't know if the network experienced a management change or not, but I am sorely saddened with their performance in the past years. They produce one crappy show after another, Painkiller Jane, and the like, which are pathetic remakes of even worse TV movies.

The channel has even disappointed in syndication, failing to show at least marketable shows in syndication such as Farscape, First Wave, etc. Instead the air reality crap like Ghost Hunters and other examples of the stupidity of some human beings.

Unless SciFi regains the originality and quality it was once able to produce I am afraid it will continue to decline until it is no better than those channels who are too cheap to produce anything of better quality that crap.

OK, over the past few weeks I've been noticing a trend in several shows in the terms of putting gay or lesbian couples out in the open. I have no real opinion whatsoever on the matter in reality, I'm just noticing it's becoming a lot more prominent in shows where the characters were originally presented as straight. For instance, on Bones Angela has recently become bisexual and is in a relationship with another woman, then there's Grey's Anatomy with Callie's character, even though that one is ending with one of them leaving. Let's see, then there's the relationship with Gaeta being gay on Battlestar Galactica as well as Admiral Cain being a lesbian. Are these shows trying to be politically correct or something by making sure to include gays and lesbians? Like I said, I really don't mind relationships in real life, but a lot of these shows are suddenly making this leap with characters I had assumed were straight because they would be in relationships with members of the opposite sex. For goodness sakes even Supernatural had an episode last season in that one episode where the fact that a character was gay was made a somewhat significant part of the storyline. What's the deal? Is this going to be a new trend with every television show to include all groups? Sometimes I think they try to make the leap and it just doesn't suit the story or series, and it can be kind of annoying. Anybody else have an opinion on this, or at least notice this? Anyhow, this has been my monthly, or maybe bimonthly, rant. Everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Enjoy.

Well, this is an interesting turn of events. I've been trying to post for the past two days, and now, at last, it let me post a blog. I gotta say, this new design isn't exactly my favorite. It's too white, not enough color on the outside. And what's with the bar across the top? You can't read half of it because of the backgroun. You can see something you can't really make out, shows, people, something you can't make out again, photoes, videos, oh look another one you can't make out, and community. You think they would have thought about that one a little more. I guess we'll just have to make do for now until they fix these glitches. I mean, I've been trying to get a rant in for two days, hence the double blog post.
Also, anyone else think the Supernatural moderator is a bit...rude? I know I submitted quotes correctly, with proper punctuation and format according to the old style. Has that changed? Because whoever it is kept saying I needed to follow the format according to so-and-so rules and and that I need to do all this stuff. I've been submitting quotes for a year now, I haven't been commented on with them being wrong for a long time. Sorry it was just bugging.

It is official, the premier episode of Supernatural "Lazarus Rising" was awesome. I don't know how many of you caught it but it rocked my socks. Sadly the next day was ruined by a horrible chemistry test and a bad blister on my heel, but I'll just have to live with that. This season looks to be great with everything from angels (very good-looking angel I must say and a good representation of them) to time travel (looks like Dean's going to the past). I'm thrilled he's back, and from what I can tell better than ever. Hopefully we'll learn more about his time in hell and more about his new "mission."

Okay, so, yesterday I read the article about Stargate Atlantis ending after this season, and I tried to comment on it. For some reason it wouldn't let me. Then I just read today there's going to be another Stargate (Stargate Universe). I tried to comment again, but it wouldn't let me. Why won't it let me comment? I was logged on, I pressed the comment button, no comment box appeared. Why not? Anybody out there who can answer that?
Anyway, I'll just say here what I would have said there.
Stargate Atlantis is one of the few good shows currently on sci-fi, it's a true sci-fi show unlike the reality ghost hunter crap they keep putting on there. Hopefully they give it an ending befitting the ending of an era.
Now, as for this Stargate: Universe thing, I think they could have come up with something different. It sounds a bit too much like Star Trek. Am I the only one who thinks that? And who would they have playing the characters. The actors make the characters who make the show, you know.
Oh well, there's my rant for the...month? I haven't been keeping up with blogs really. Sorry for the hyped up typing here, I head back to college tomorrow and I'm actually looking forward to it. I know, I'm weird.

Finally, some of the shows I love to watch are coming back. Stargate Atlantis starts next Friday, and I refuse to spoil it by watching the leaked episode on air. Personally I think it's rude, so I'll wait and watch it when it airs. I only watch online if I miss it. The way I see it, if the ratings go down because people don't watch when it's on it'll only hurt the show in the long run. So watch it while it airs all you Stargate Atlantis fans.Anyway, Burn Notice is returning for its second season, which I'm glad about. It should be a good season, and then there's also Psych. Two shows on the USA network that I highly recommend. Of course, I would also be recommending The 4400, IF IT WAS STILL ON but no, it was canceled. Stupid people.Fall's already around the corner, so I hope shows that were cut short will make up for the lack of episodes, especially Heroes. We got jipped by them. Supernatural's back for a fourth season, so I'm psyched about that. Remember to watch the shows people and tell your friends. Let's avoid the good shows being canceled and replaced by reality junk like "I Survived a Japanese Gameshow." I mean come on, how much lower can you get than that?...Don't answer that, someone just might.Until next time, this is Endgame65.

Most all of my favorite shows are wrapped up for the summer. Battlestar Galactica is only up till episode ten, then God knows how long it'll be before the final episodes air. Bones, NCIS, and Supernatural have been wrapped up. Personally I think Bones and NCIS were a bit rushed, trying to pack a lot of action into the finales to make up for the shortened seasons. It'd be nice if the next seasons were longer. I was pleased with the ending of Supernatural, what an emotional episode there. I'd glad all are currently slated for returns, but if the CW goes under and takes Supernatural with it, I'll be upset. So, now the question is, what to watch now? There not much going on for the rest of this month. I think Burn Notice on USA starts in June or July, and I am happily awaiting the early start of season 5 of Stargate Atlantis on July 11 here in the states. It should be a good season. Oh, and I just remembered Psych is on this summer. I won't be completely without my shows I guess. Hopefully this fall will make up for the short seasons, especially on Heroes. But the new shows I'm not very impressed with, the ideas suck. One station, I can't remember which takes place in the 60s and 70s, big hair and pants and all. Good God those decades were a mess, no one wants to remember them, but what's sad is there's an actor I liked in another show in there, and I must say, big hair and bell-bottoms don't play with him. Then there's another show called "The Mentalist." Simon Baker's in it I guess, and he can tell stuff about a case no one else can. I thought it sounded a bit like a more serious rip-off of Psych, but it could just be me. Other than that, everything else sounds like crap. Maybe Dollhouse, Joss Whedon's new show will pack a punch, but that's not until next spring I think. Anyone hear of anything that'll actually be good? Fans of reality tv will be pleased (personally I don't watch, won't talk about it, and would rather it be buried in the desert somewhere) with the stuff coming out. I think it's official it outnumbers actual shows. If people would stay away from that crap, maybe the networks would try to put something out worthwhile like the old days (five to fifteen years ago, so not that old) Oh well, this is Endgame65 hoping the good shows will find their way to television and the networks don't cancel the good ones already on the air that still are going strong.

Okay, so, I've been submitting a lot of quotes from tv shows lately. I get bored, so one of the things I do is track down episodes of shows that aren't on the air anymore, Dark Angel, Haunted, Now and Again, etc. I then watch them and submit the quotes after I've accumulated a good number from an entire season or series. Yes, I have no life. Most of the moderators are extremely thankful to get the quotes. A lot of the series from a few years ago don't have many quotes, so I proceed to fill the page. Most moderators don't have a problem with that, one or two do. I mean, I can see how sixty-five quotes for the only season of a show at one time is a bit much, but in groups of ten or fifteen? I don't see how that would be a big problem. I like finding quotes for episodes that don't have any. They give me a little insight a recap (if they even have one) doesn't give you. It's what I do, one of the obsessive tendencies I sometimes get. I understand some moderators cover more than one page, but come on, it can't be that hard to read through a quote, make sure there aren't spelling errors, make sure it conforms to the tv.com guidelines, etc. (by the way, I suppose this is what they do, not entirely sure here, if I'm wrong forgive me) Some moderators reply extremely quickly, others take a while longer, and I don't have a huge problem with that, but come on, if there are no quotes for a page and it comes from a source who's submitted quotes accurately before you'd think that would speed things up. Oh well, this is a rant anyway. Any thoughts? I could go on, but I think I've said enough. I hate being frustrated with people. Anyway, this is Endgame65, have a nice day.

Oh my God. I just saw the promo for the last Supernatural episode completed before the strike, and it is gonna be awesome! The episode's called Jus In Bello, and Dean and Sam are caught by Agent Henrikson and then it looks like everyone is besieged by an army of demons. Looks like Ruby might be in the episode, but I can't tell if she's good or bad. Henrikson and the brother'll have to work together to get out of this one. It looks to be a great episode to be the last before they finish a few more. I can't wait. As the promo said. Let go of your fear. Hopefully they'll make it till morning.Okay, that was a little sappy, but I am so psyched for the next episode. Jus In Bello is gonna be awesome.

Okay, just caught the new episode of Supernatural, I chose it over Lost. I think I made the right choice. With three more new episodes after tonight, I'm soaking it in. Don't have a clue when it'll be back. According to the interview with a guy from Supernatural, the next couple of episodes are going to be great. This week in itself was excellent, when Dean goes to hell, he'll become a demon, just like Ruby. It could take hundreds of years, but it could happen just the same. Spooky...but cool. Next week it looks like Bobby, Sam, and Dean are stuck in their nightmares, and from the looks of it, Dean is a Demon. That'll take bad*$$ to a whole new level. After that they supposedly get caught in a time loop with Dean dying over and over again. I'm guessing that one'll be hilarious one minute and tear worthy the next. Evidently they kill Dean a few times...a few hundred to be exact. I'm tuning in just to count how many they show. Too bad they weren't able to go further than the fourth to be aired episode, but the episode sounds like it'll rock as well. Keep up the good work Jensen and Jared, you've got a great show going here. Nothing rocks tv like the Winchesters ladies and gentlemen. Endgame65 out.

Finally there are going to be a few new episodes this week. New episodes of Supernatural, Smallville, Lost (finally), and Stargate Atlantis. I'm excited for the premier of Lost, it should be a good two hour show (at least it better be after that long a wait). Smallville, not so much, I'm disappointed with Smallville lately, they went off on a storyline they shouldn't have with Lana marrying Lex, Kara, and bringing Lois Lane in so early. As for Supernatural, I couldn't be more excited about that. Stargate Atlantis has remained relatively safe so far, and there's a new episode on this week as well. I can't wait for the new episode this week. Can't wait for the shows to come back, it's about time. Let's just hope the writers strike ends soon so they won't have to end the season with only ten or fifteen episodes. This is Endgame65, out.

Okay, this strike has gone too far. The WGA and the studioes need to come to an agreement soon. As for the WGA, the tactics are underhanded and uncalled for. You've now interrupted the Golden Globes and now the Grammies. It's music there not movies. The Grammy Committee shouldn't stand for such tactics. Now the strike could cost shows. I'm sure it'll happen soon. Loyal watchers will lose shows they've watched for years, and then they'll be left with no conclusion. Think of all the people who are affected by this. WGA and sudioes aside, there are a lot of people who will stop watching. I for one love the shows I watch, but the studioes and WGA are starting to annoy. I've already had a lot of the shows I love canceled with no decent conclusion. Don't allow this feud to affect viewers anymore than it already has. This is Endgame65 and I want my shows back.

The writers strike continues, but thankfully so does Stargate Atlantis. This is the only show I watch that hasn't really been affected by the strike so far. They had finished shooting all the episodes and they only lost one writer to the strike. Canada's good for something (hope no Canadian writers take offense to that). Everything else is run out or running out. I hate reality tv, so I'm glad SGA is still around. Maybe this'll give the show more of a chance to shine and it'll go on a few more years. Endgame65 out.

Well, I just caught the last new Supernatural episode of 2007. Hopefully not of the season. That would be depressing. Especially with Dean's year almost up. This was a Christmas themed episode, and it was amusing (as always) and slightly sad. Dean wants to celebrate Christmas, as it will be his last one, and Sam doesn't like Christmas anymore, he stopped believing when he found out monsters were real on Christmas, and his father didn't come back from the hunt. Dean had tried to make a Christmas happen for Sam, and that's when Sam gave Dean his amulet necklace, a gift Bobby had given to Sam to give to their dad. Dean had worn it ever since. In the end, Sam decides to celebrate Christmas, because Dean had tried to hard to give him a Christmas the year Sam found out monsters existed and his dad hunted them. It was a very meaningful episode, and it was very special. I hope there are a few more episodes that were finished before the writer's strike began. It would be a pity for this show to be affected too badly. Smallville's going downhill. They've drug out too many bad storylines. At least Supernatural is still going strong. I can't wait for the next episode, and I can't wait to learn what's in store for Dean and Sam. This is Endgame65, and I wish you the happiest of holidays.

I recently was moderated by an individual by the name JaceJones. The excuse? Offensive content, and all I did was use the word idiot. By normal standards, in high school and in college now, I find it extremely rude and bad web conduct. Abusing the moderation tab should not be allowed. Also, what I said was the character "Nikki" on Heroes was not the best character, and that it was good the character was killed. I admit, I responded in kind, JaceJones wrote something offensive to me, so I moderated right back. I probably started something I'll regret, but for now I'm quite pleased with myself. Oh, and if JaceJones ever reads this, I am no "kid." I assure you I am more than likely more mature, more highly educated, and just plain right. So this is Endgame65, Peace Out.

Okay, the WGA strike has only been on for not much more than a week, and it's already affecting my shows. I'm pissed. Prison Break is holding its remaining shows until January, and the second season of Heroes is only eleven episodes. NCIS will probably get cut short as well. Smallville and Supernatural are saving their episodes as well. They'll have a Christmas episode on the thirteenth, but after that it's up in the air. Stargate Atlantis is still going as far as I know. I've heard they were still shooting the second half of the season which comes back in January. That's still good. Battlestar Galactica production has shut down, and Lost's expected sixteen episode season has been cut to eight for now. I hope somebody gives in soon. Reality tv is crap, and if the good shows suffer because of this...Writers, if your shows go bottom-up because of this, it was your own fault. Producers and CEO of these companies, the sooner you give in the happier everyone will be. So what if you make a million dollars less. The writers make your scripts work so your actors can do the rest. Lets hope this strike ends soon. Don't put more reality crap on tv than there already is. This is Endgame65. Peace Out.

Okay, it's official, Four Months Ago will easily be one of the coolest episodes of the second season. I mean, seriously, we find out what happened in those four months. We finally find out what happened to Peter. To be honest, he's all I really care about. Don't really care about Nikki or even Sylar. Let Peter remember. It's cool that Kensei's still alive. Things could be getting interesting, especially with Kensei's vendetta against Hiro. Okay, to be honest I'm curious about Elle's character. She seems a little loopy, but still interesting. According to the promo they did something to take Peter's powers away for a time, and it looks like Elle's going to be a little zap happy. This is going to be an awesome episode. Until next time this is Endgame65 signing off.

There were a lot of good episodes this week. Everything from Monday's Prison Break, Heroes, and Journeyman to Friday's Moonlight, Stargate Atlantis, and Blood Ties. Prison Break was interesting. Michael still doesn't know that Sara is dead, and the blame to break out is still on. I hear they're planning on making a spin-off. I really doubt that'll go well. It's supposed to be about a women's prison. Yeah right. That sounds kind of lame. Heroes was excellent. Peter opened the box, but there wasn't really anything there. He did rediscover Isaac's power, so it'll be off to Montreal for him next week. Cool. Tuesday's NCIS was good. This season is shaping up to be pretty good. There wasn't anything exceptional on Wednesday. Thursday was good with new episodes of Supernatural and Smallville. Both were excellent. As usual I wish Lana would just get killed off, but hey, it's probably not gonna happen, but a girl can dream. Friday's shows were exceptional as well. I can't wait for next week. Until next time this is Endgam65. Have a nice day.

Caught the new episode of NCIS last night. It was good. It focused on a bad guy called the Eraser, a guy who could make a person dissapear, give them a new identity. There was a lot of action, and the show didn't give away the real bad guy until the very end. However, I'm a lot more excited about next week. I want to know what happens, especially in the part where Tony is hanging from the building.Okay, I think it's evident Ziva likes Tony, but I think he must be a little thick-headed. Of course, he could just not think of her that way. Oh well. Can't wait for next week, and this season is shaping up to be pretty good. Until next time, this is Endgame65.

Caught the new episode of Heroes last night. It wasn't bad, but I have a few complaints, first and foremost Peter Petrelli wasn't in it. Come on, he makes or breaks the show with his abilities. I really don't care much about a lot of the others. Also, there a ton of forum posts that almost make me want to hit someone, so let me clarify what they got wrong. Matt Parkman's father is not, Bob, it's the guy to the right of Bob and another woman. Matt's father is the Nightmare Man, and when Molly went looking for him for Matt, she apparently became trapped there, because she is crying out for help in her thoughts. They didn't show Peter, Hiro, or Kensei in the episode, and it was a bit dissapointing. However, I don't really think Kensei is one of the twelve. I'm fairly sure Kristen Bell will be introduced next week as the character Elle, and woman willing to kill to find Peter. There was a clip in the preview, which showed Nathan fighting someone, and then asking if it was Peter. So, I think next week will be a great episode. I can't wait. I'm really not all that interested in Monica, Micah, or Nikki and Jessica. I'm glad they haven't focused on Nikki and Jessica as of yet. There were some inconsistensies with the reality of the Hollywood sign. For one, no one can get near it without being seen. There are cameras all over the place to prevent vandalism, they had a lot of trouble with vandalism a few decades back, so they keep it under constant watch. West and Claire couldn't have been up there unseen.Oh well, at least next week they're getting back to Peter. I can't wait to learn more about him, he's the best thing Heroes has. Go Milo.
