Weevil: Man, anime sucks.

Rex: Yeah, except when there's like... naked chicks.

Weevil: Yeah, and explosions. Fire, fire, yeah!

Rex: So, like, pretty much any anime is cool.
Want Cake?

Well, too bad. My birthday was 11 days ago, and no one asked for cake. I just finished the last of it earlier today.

Would you believe it? Some stuff has actually happened!

Other than playing Symphonia, I tried catching up on my missed anime. And failed miserably. I don't watch much except for Shin-chan and Code Geass on the [adult swim] website.

Since yesterday, I've been volunteering at my local library. To be honest, I wouldn't even be there if it wasn't a requirement for graduating high school. Although, I did find out that it has a few interesting anime and manga. Tomorrow is an all-day book sale.

My brother and I went to GameStop. I went because they had a deal on Gameboy (Color) games and accessories:buy two, get one free. But their choices were more fail than my trying to catch up on anime.

I asked if they had Tales of the Abyss, and it turns out that the sales clerk is still looking for it himself or herself. My brother wants Mario Kart Wii, and although they had it in stock, he decided against buying it. (WTF?) I'm waiting for Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World. In the end, we bought a charge station for our Wii-motes. Does anyone else say "Wii-mote"?

If you like Hatsune Miku, Mother, Super Smash Bros. Melee or Brawl, or just the English language in general, here's a video for you:

Almost Done with ToS

I'm almost done with my first playthrough of ToS. I just need to practically quadruple my Grade for the Grade Shop. I'll be going for several hard-to-get titles all at once. The 10x Exp will help a lot.

  1. Dog Lover- Talk with all the dogs in the game using Colette (time-consuming V_V)
  2. Friendship First- Have nobody die until the battle with Iubaris (read the next one)
  3. I hate gels- Don't use gels [healing items] on anybody until the fight with Pronyma. Genis must participate in this battle. (both 2 and 3?! :shock
  4. Brave Soul- Do not run away from a single battle before defeating Yuan (impossible. enough said)
  5. Eternal Apprentice- Use the Wooden Sword [weakest weapon for main character] until defeating Kilia (I can use other equipment, though ^_^)

Although four seems hard, Gung-Ho requires some serious strategy, too.

I'll also try to get alternate costumes. Thank Lord Yggdrasil that Kratos only has one. Also, curse Abyssion because I didn't Sheena's beach costume this time.

I haven't been doing much this week except playing ToS. I even put anime on hiatus!

Tomorrow, I have another driving lesson. Maybe I'll be able to pass my test in five minutes.

The Weekend I Didn't Blog

This is late and I don't feel like blogging, so I'll keep it short and to the point.

Sometime last week, I completed most of the events in ToP. However, I can't seem to get Cress' hi-ougi. And no hi-ougi means I can't beat the Colosseum.

I also did the same with ToS. Now I'm grade-farming. And I've still got a long ways to go if I want the 10x experience modifier.

I read a few chapters of Vampire Knight the other day. It only has about 40 chapters out, so I'll try to read it.

I saw the dubbed version of Death Note's last episode.
***SPOILER***

For July Fourth, I went in an uncomfortable car ride, walked a long distance, saw about five minutes of fireworks, and vice-versa. What made it all worthwhile was this cactus drink I got.

On Saturday, I had my first driving lesson. At the beginning, I had problems with steering, but the biggest problem was keeping my foot on the brake. I drove slightly over the speed limit 50-mile-per-hour zones, so I think I need more practice.

Today, July 7th, is my birthday. I am now a sixteen-year-old, and frankly, I liked being 15 more.

Anyway, happy Tanabata!

Weeks of June 30, 2008 and July 7, 2008

V: Sordid (adj.): of degraded character or nature

ST: Reward yourself after a good study session.

H: 1890- Idaho becomes 43rd state.

Character Corner- Tolerance

Take Action!:

Next time you come into a disagreement with a friend, mutually agree to switch roles. Now make arguments from their point of view, and they from yours.

Discussion:

Is a person tolerant if they don't voice their opinion when they disagree with someone else? Are they courageous? Do they have integrity?

Because my school calendar has run out of material, this will be the last "Monday" blog. As least until the new school year.

Anime Heat

I know this is a couple of days late, but this is summer. So, I'll be slacking off.

Last week, I watched two anime series:

This first one is Goshusho-sama Ninomiya-kun. It's a pretty entertaining series. It has succubi, an element not so common in Japan. As for the "heat" paty, haev you seen them cook ramen?

The other is Kashimashi - Girl Meets Girl. I don't understand the title, but it's probably because a boy becomes a girl and has yuri-ish relationships with his/her friends. As for the quality, it's meh. Not that the scenes are "bad," but they can be pretty slow. Although, I loved Daisuke Ono's character, Asuta.

Other than that, I've been playing Tales of Symphonia the past weekend. It's so unfair; here I am, in 100 F heat, and they're up in an island that resembles Greenland. I wish an Ice Tornado would pass through here, or at least Undine...

I got my final grades yesterday, so maybe they'll keep you occupied for the rest of the week:

  • Driver's Ed: A-
  • English 10: A
  • Biology: A+
  • Spanish 2: A
  • P.E. 10: A
  • Geometry: A
  • World History: A-

Total GPA: 4.00

Here are the Songs of the Day for 6/14/08 - 6/20/08

  • 6/15/08- Every Little Thing "Ai no Uta" Inuyasha

  • 6/18/08- Kalafina "Oblivious" Kara no Kyoukai
  • 6/19/08- ayana "Last regrets" Kanon
