1Jul 09Well, everyone, it appears that miracles can indeed happen. Allow me to explain: Before the new millineium started, a cartoon was aired called Futurama about a miserable delivery boy living a lousy life in the 20th century who accidentally fell into a cryogenic chamber at the stroke of midnight on December 31, 1999 and was frozen for over 1,000 years, and awoke in a new futuristic world inhabited by humans, aliens, and robots. From then on, the series told about the futuristic adventures of the young man and his new friends as they traveled to strange new worlds and encounted bizarre creatures. Around 2003, the series came to an end, leaving many to wonder what would become of the cartoon characters of the future. Then a miraculous thing happened to it that has only happened to very few classic shows: a renewal! And not just any renewal, the series was revived in the form of four brand-new full-length movies (which actually made up four episodes apiece) straight to DVD. The first of the quartet, Bender's Big Score, was released two years ago (before the turn of the century) and instantly reclaimed it's lost popularity. The second and third movies, The Beast With A Billion Backs and Bender's Game came out in the early and late 2008. The final movie (and perhaps series finale), Into The Wild Green Yonder, hit the shelves early this year. I, of course, have seen all four movies (though I don't currently posses them, but I'm working on that), though I must say, the second and third movies weren't as good as the first and fourth movies. Anyway, I must say, the fourth movie was very entertaining, most importantly, the ending, which was perhaps one of the most climatic movie endings I've ever seen. And thus, the show of the 31st century once again came to an end with a much more intriguing closure, with the two main characters finally getting together and the entire team of protaganists traveling off to parts unknown and into adventures that would be left up to the fans to imagine.....or is it? The sales of the entire collection of DVDs has been so successful that something very rare and wonderous has occurred for the series: a second renewal! That's right! The ever-lovable cartoon of the future is returning yet again, picking up were the cliffhanging Into The Wild Green Yonder left off. This is proof positive that lightning can indeed strike twice! Let Futurama be a sign that the other shows that we long to see return can come back as well. Shows like Danny Phantom, American Dragon: Jake Long, and even Kim Possible! For those of you out there that hope to see such shows renewed only to have that hope diminish each day, look to Futurama which defied the odds and achieved a second helping of what few shows get as a beacon to restore your faith, as proof that there's hope for the shows that you want to come back and as a sign of a bright and shiny future for television!!!

When I first joined this site three years ago, it was an enjoyable place and I hardly found a flaw with it. Then I few months ago, boom! They redesigned the site, taking away the purplish background many of us were okay with, and replaced it with a white background, in addition to change the formatting of our profiles and the profiles of the t.v shows. I found this change annoying, but I learned to get use to it. However, I didn't enjoy the fact that the episode guides had been put backwards from newest season to last and from last episode to first. Now, the new design is barely three months old and they go and perform another one! And this one's even worse than the last! In addition to remove what color was left on the front page and altering the logo (again), they changed our profile labels in the top corner so we can't see our stats! Not only that, but we can't scroll down to see all our favorite shows! I don't know about you, but I think this site is just plained ruined! I am just about tempted to leave this site! It's nothing but a shell of its former self.

30Sep 08The world of television as I know it keeps falling apart everytime I turn around! It started back in 2006 when the original Yugioh series came to an end. True it was sad, but I didn't let it get me too bad, it had a good run. But that was just the beginning. I then found out that one of my all-time favorite series' Pokemon would no longer be airing on Kids' WB are would be permanetly airing on Cartoon Network (complete with a new cast). At first, I didn't like this change, but I soon got use to it. It really got me down in the mouth when one of my favorite shows 'Zatch Bell' disappeared from the Toonami block. On December 31, 2006, I thought things were looking up when I learned of the upcoming Kim Possible Season 4 (though I did worry about when it ended), but I got depressed when I learned that the former home of Pokemon had changed into a channel called the CW and that the programming block I had watched for more than five years had been reformatted into the CW4Kids (later to be replaced by 4Kids TV). I knew I would be saying farewell to Kim Possible (again), but I didn't realize that Danny Phantom and American Dragon: Jake Long would be going down with her! After that, I soon realized that another of my favorite anime shows "One Piece" would no longer be formatted by 4kids and would dubbed by the same company that did the DB series. I got use to this change as I did with Pokemon, but then about six months ago, it disappeared from the Toonami block as had Zatch Bell. It wasn't until recently that I learned that the famous series would no longer be dubbed in English at all! Also recently, I learned that the final season of Yugioh GX (which I had grown accustom to over the years) was not going to be dubbed (as well as the final episode of Season 3!). But the dark changes of the broadcasting world haven't been happening just recently. The long-time cartoon exclusive channels Cartoon Network and Toon Disney have been airing live-action programming since 2005! And speaking of Toon Disney, that channel can be kissed good-bye soon too. Starting next Febuary, it's going to be replaced with Disney XD, and no doubt we will be bidding a fond so long to many of the programs that station has offerred us for years! As if that wasn't enough, just an hour ago, I learned that the programming block I had watched for more than ten years made it's last broadcast two weeks ago! (though I didn't watch it for sometime because it no longer had the classic programming I loved). I don't know about you guys, but the future of broadcast television doesn't look very bright to me.

It has finally happened. I have become a member at Fafiction.Net! I have already written three fan fics and I think I did an excellent job on them:
1) A Lovers' Swim
The name says it all. Kim and Ron make cooling down hot.
2) Crazy Shipping
Kim realizes she has feelings for her arch-enemy. To those of you who think this is whack, read the fic and get a twist.
3) Three's A Crowd
The most unlikey being in the world becomes Kim and Ron's greatest foe.
I do believe that many of you will enjoy these fics. I have lots more fan fics planned in the future, but I'll let you enjoy these for now. Just so you know, at fanfiction.net, I am known as Eddy13.

Before I get to my main topic, I would like to make a speech (*ducks as they start throwing vegetables*). In 2002, Disney premiered one of it's most popular series, Kim Possible. I doubt even Disney knew what a hit they had at the time. The series had a trio of fantastic heroes, Kim Possible, the main character of the series, Ron Stoppable, her best friend/boyfriend and sidekick, and the remarkable naked mole rat, Rufus. I, among many others, was fascinated by the series and enjoyed every moment of it. The series ran for three years, and after 65 episodes, the series ended with Disney's Kim Possible Movie: So The Drama, in which Kim and Ron's relationship reached it's peak and their friendship became something more. Naturally, fans were outraged at the cancellation and rose up in protest, demanding the series be renewed. Disney complied and produced 22 more episodes. Recently, Disney held a 52-hour KP marathon, featuring every episode and movie made, ending with a 1 hour episode in which Kim and Ron graduate from high school.
With the airing of the graduation episode, the series has once again come to an end. I'm sure almost everyone on this site has seen the season 4 finale of Kim Possible. It does seem to provide a perfect ending for the series, although the same could have been said for So The Drama. I'm sure almost everyone who saw the finale are thinking that the series ended good, others are thinking that it could have ended better, and the rest wish that it wasn't ending. As for me, part of me thinks it is truely over, part of me thinks there is still hope that this series can continue, just like I think there's a chance Danny Phantom and American Dragon can continue. The season four finale left many questions that I want answered:
1) Will Drakken give up being a villian?
2) Will Drakken and Shego get together?
3) How will Ron and Drakken's new abilities effect the series?
and perhaps the biggest question on everyone's minds: What does the future hold for Kim and Ron?
To those who want these and other questions answered, don't despair, for while it looks like Kim Possible has reached the end of the line, hundreds of fans (myself included) are fighting for the series to continue, just like two years ago when the series originally ended. Even as I speak (or write), hundreds of fans are sending letters to Disney. The FFKP won't rest until the KP is renewed. As long as they are out there, it's SO NOT OVER!!!

Last week, I wrote a eulogy for Danny Phantom, this week I'm writing one for American Dragon: Jake Long. When the show first aired in 2005, I found it fascinating. I found many similarities between it and Danny Phantom (with scenarios such "teenage boy with super hero alterego", "secret kept from elders", two best friends who help him save the day", and "protecting the world from dark forces"). I also found it similar to Fairly Odd Parents with the "teacher obsessed with magical creatures" scenario (I wonder if these guys know Butch Hartman). True, there were quite a few episodes that didn't interest me, but I still watched the show. I must say, while season two did show more magic, there were certain qualities I preferred in season one (particularily, Jake's dragon form).
I recently saw what seems to be the series finale, and I found it somewhat interesting. Not to nitpick, but I was hoping more from a series finale. True, Johnathan learning the family secret, Rose recovering her memory, and the Dark Dragon being trapped in a vortex was epic, but the entire format of the episode seems more like a season finale than a series finale. Also, I was hoping there would be a climatic battle between Jake and the Dark Dragon similar to the final confrontation in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows. Furthermore, similar to how I preferred Jake's season one dragon form, I wasn't as fond of the Dark Dragon's season two form as I was his season one form.
I do hope they decide to make a third season. I want to see how Jake's father gets involved in the magical world (similar to how I want to see Danny Fenton's parents get involved in his ghost fighting). Also, I would like to learn more about the origins of the Huntsclan and the Dark Dragon. While it does seem like the Dark Dragon is gone forever (or at least for 1000 years, which ever comes first), there is a chance someone will take his place, at least I hope so. Last week, I wished the Danny Phantom fighters luck, this week I say the same to the American Dragon fighters. Fight hard, Am Drag fans, and there may be a chance that Jake and the crew will return. If it can happen for Kim Possible, there's a possibility that American Dragon can be saved to. Speaking of KP, her series is suppose to end next week (again) with a one-hour finale following a fifty-two hour marathon. Fret not, KP fans, hopefully Kim can be saved again. But I will save that for next week. Until then, adios!

I'm sure many here are aware that a big moment just occured in television history. We have just witnessed what seems to be the end of Danny Phantom. To those who had tuned into Nick about an hour ago, I'm sure you saw what I saw. Here is a small recap: After Danny ruins his latest plan, Vlad decided to ruin Danny's reputation as a hero with his own team of ghost fighters. Frustrated, Danny got rid of his ghost powers. A massive asteroid was released during Danny and Vlad's lastest battle and was heading for Earth. Vlad revealed his ghost-half to the world and would save the world from the asteroid in exchange for total control of the planet. Needless to say, Vlad's plan failed and was abandoned in space by his former friend Jack. Danny came up with a plan of his own to turn the earth intangible with the aid of ghosts from the ghost zone. During an attack on him, Danny's ghost powers were restored. Danny convinced the ghosts to help and the world was saved. Danny revealed himself to the world and (unlike Vlad) was accepted. Tucker became the youngest mayor in Amity Park history (his first official act was to unveal a statue of Amity Parks hero, Danny), Vlad had to get use to living in space (when he was hit by the asteroid), and I'm sure you all saw that things finally clicked between Danny and Sam. I'm also sure that many of you believe this was a great end to the series, while others feel it wasn't grand enough, and more wish that the series wasn't done.
I would now like to give what some of you may considered an obituary. I remember seeing Danny four years ago, and I found it quite fascinating. True, there have been a few episodes that didn't catch my fancy (I'm not going to say which ones), still, I continued to watch the series. A few times, I decided to avoid the episodes, but I eventually found myself watching the show again. I must say I really enjoyed the third season the most, though I do think it was rushed due to Phantomania. It seems to be the end of an era. Now that the final movie has aired, I guess this is farewell to our favorite ghost boy....... or is it?
I know there are many fans out there trying to make sure Danny lives on. I'm sure I speak for DP fans everywhere when I say I wish you the best of luck. There is a chance that Danny can return, I've known many other shows to come back from the grave. Also, I'd like to say that many fans have faith in those fighters that they will succede in their goal. Once again, good luck and best wishes to the Danny Phantom fighters. Many fans are rooting for you and know you won't rest until their favorite ghost returns! LONG LIVE DANNY PHANTOM!!!
Next Week: My salute to American Dragon: Jake Long.

Today, I saw the Simpsons movie! When I saw the first preview a year ago, I got really excite, imagine the Simpsons on the silver screen! For a whole year (or longer) I waited, and my patience paid off when it finally came out to theaters. I was down that I couldn't see it on it's opening weekend, but my family said I would see it, saying Monday would be the best time. I don't recall the last time I looked forward to a Monday. When the big day came, I got up early (maybe because my mother woke me), I got ready. My brother, my cousin, and I then went up to the theater (my mother didn't want to go, sadly). I was really excited when I got into the theater. At first I thought we would be the only ones there (probably because we got there so early), but soon, more people filed into the theater. At first, I thought we were going to be ripped-off when the film when on the fritz for a few minutes, but we managed to see it (although the glitch cost us some previews). I must say, the movie was fantastic and I really enjoyed. True, it didn't go like I thought it would (that's what I get for falling for darn false plots), but I still thought it was good. I'm not going to say what happened and spoil it for fellow Simpson fans, but I'll tell you this, this is the Simpsons' biggest adventure yet (or is that obvious?) and I can't wait for the sequel (yes, another one is coming. I know).

22Jul 07The final installment in Harry Potter's epic story has finally arrived! I'm sure many of you have gotten copies in advanced. My brother and I certainly did. I was so excited, I couldn't put the book down. I'm practically at the end. I'm sure many of you are reading your copies as I type. For those of you who don't possess a copy yet, let me tell you, Harry's got to cope with some BIG losses, discover NEW surprises, and uncover the DARKEST mysteries in magical history. I'm not saying what I've read, but let me tell you, this book is the most shocking installment in the series!

Since the beginning of the year 2000, there have been many great shows airing on television. Sadly, many of these wonderful shows are coming to an end, including Kim Possible, American Dragon: Jake Long, Danny Phantom, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide and many others. We have already seen the end of other beloved shows like Lilo & Stitch, Grounded For Life, Megas XLR, Samurai Jack, Mike, Lu, & Og, Jackie Chan Adventures, Digimon, Teen Titans, and others. Unless we take a stand, more of the shows we love will come to an end and we will only see them in dvd boxsets. To those of you who don't want your favorite series to become just memories, stand up and fight for your shows. Many are out there right now fighting to save the shows they have come to enjoy, but they need all the help they can get. Join the fight and support the cause before all the shows you've enjoyed for five years become a thing of the past.

Kim Possible has been on Disney since 2002. Since it started airing, I have watched Kim and her friends save the world time after time. During the duration of the series, I began to think there was more between Kim and her best friend Ron Stoppable than a strong friendship. Such thoughts disappeared after seeing the episode "Emotion Sickness". Needless to say, those ideas returned after the airing of "So The Drama", which I watch every chance I get. After the airing of the formentioned movie, the series came to an uprut end (except for a few episodes left to air). Fortunately, fans screamed for more episodes, so the creators gladly created one more season. But now, the new season is almost finished airing, and unless something is done, Kim Possible will go back into storage, maybe forever this time. Many refuse to allow this to happen and have starting fighting for a fifth season even before the fourth season started. It has been learned that Bob, Steve, and Mark have been let go and with them the chance for another season of KP. Many have given up, but others are fighting harder than ever, to save not just their beloved show, but the jobs of three men who have brought us classic disney shows. The status of their goal is unknown at the moment, but anything can shift the tides. They need all the help they can get. To those who care about this show, take a stand and fight for what you believe in. Spread the word, write letters, start petitions, have rallies. Do whatever you can to help the cause, even if it isn't much. Join the cause before KP becomes just a memory.
