GOTY Canidates
Hello one and all. I have returned briefly to break down my GOTY choices. Of course, only one shall be the victor but choosing one is such a difficult task. With this list, you may have seen that I did not give up gaming. However, I did take a drastic cut back in it. So anyways, all games mentioned are games that I feel are worthy GOTY and all of them I have played.

Follow up to Call of Duty 4. This game blends beautiful graphics with some of the most intense FPS action ever created and is the best multiplayer game out there. The campaign may be a short one, but with as many crazy set pieces it supports, it does not dissapoint. If you do not know what MW2 is, then I suggest climbing out of the rock you have been living under.

Not only does this get a nod for being a good Batman game but it is also the best superhero game ever made. Even without all that, the gameplay mechanics were so well done and addictive and it made me play through it 3 times.

More Left 4 Dead is never a bad thing, and L4D2 is more of what we grew to love plus a whole lot more. Everyone feared that this game was rushed but they all shut their mouths once they played the game. The game improves upon the first in everyway possible.

Sleeper hit of the year hands down. I had no interest in this game yet once I played it I immediately felt a fatal attraction to it. This game is one of the most challenging games out there, yet in return it offers you an extremely addictive gameplay with some of the most innovative online out there.

Assassin's Creed 2 basically took everything that was wrong with the first game and turned it completely 180. This game improves upon the first in a great way and offers you plenty of great gameplay and some of the most beautifully executed assasinations out there.

Uncharted 2 completely blew away the market with it's photo realistic graphics, addicting gameplay and some of the most "blockbuster" storyline ever seen in a video game. If games and movies were to literally have a child, Uncharted 2 would be it.

Borderlands was also another Sleeper Hit. A lot of people began to get skeptical on the game a few months back but once it released it showed us that FPS and RPGs could actually live in peace and meld together almost perfectly. Borderlands blends all the best bits of FPS with all the bits of leveling up and upgrading from RPGs.

Bioware continues to not dissapoint. Dragon Age is one massive game with a large story to tell. This game may not be the prettiest but it's return to form gameplay that plays very much like KOTOR and Baldur's Gate shows that Bioware can still pull it off.

I have never nominated a racing game for GOTY before. However, after playing Forza 3 I just feel I need to with this one. By far the best racing game ever made; Forza 3 offers you a ridicules amount of cars, tracks, and customizable options. Never once did I ever feel this in depth in a racer and never have I been so addicted. Forza 3 officially made the Forza franchise the king of racing simluation.

Resident Evil took a large turn in the franchise with RE4. RE5 only improves upon it and basically perfects what made 4 so good in the first place. Add in the addition of full campaign co-op and you got yourself another GOTY canidate.

So long, farewell

So, I have officially decided to take a break from Gamespot and gaming as a whole. I have a lot of things in life I need to focus on that are so much more important, like my future wife and family. Kind of a bad time to give gaming a break with games like COD: MW2 and Assassin's Creed 2 coming out but it's something that must be done. I may still be picking up Modern Warfare 2 but we'll see. As far Gamespot goes, I'll only be on here once ina great while to check a review or just to catch up on the latest but I'm basically taking off. So anyways, please don't delete me in case I do come back, which I'm sure I would. But as of now, I will be gone for an unknown amount of time. So, everyone take care and wish you all the best of the luck. Bye guys.

Demon's Souls Review and Sony's new box art look.

Now this picture doesn't fully show what I'm talking about. But Uncharted 2 is the first game to show off the new look and the new look on the PS3 boxes are somewhat....different. They actually went back to the old look of the PS2 but updated it a little bit. Honestly, I can't say I'm a fan, but that might just be because I'm not used to it. I do however like the way they did it on the back in which it states and fully shows what the game features (trophies, resolution, etc.). It always did before, but now it details it better and looks nicer.
Also, I did a review on one of my favorite games of all time: Demon's Souls. This is my first review in 5 months, which is wierd because I used to pump out so many reviews I once got the top 500 reviewers badge. But back then, my reviews were, shall we say.....LAME. Anyways, check it out. And if you do like it, please recommend it. It would be greatly appreciated.
