    2009: The Games I Bought

Well, the year is almost up. I thought it would be a good idea to list the games I bought this year, so I will.

    Games I bought this year:

    -Sins of a Solar Empire
Playing Sins I had a very good time, but I didn't really feel like getting back into it after I stopped playing.

-Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II
I LOVE this game. I've played a good 154is hours since March all of which were fun and entertaining.

    -Fallout
I have no idea what to do, I just go out of the vault and die.

    -Fallout 2
I haven't gotten to it for the reason above.

    -Starwars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Me and my brother loved Jedi Outcast on the Gamecube so we decided to buy this game. It didn't turn out well.

-The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth II: Rise of the Witch King
I only just bought this game, but me and my brother have spend countless hours LANing vanilla BfME2 and we're having a great time with this one as well.

    -Bioshock
I had a blast with this game. It was really fun but really short as well. I think I beat it in less than a week, and the ending was really disappointing considering the ratio of rescues to harvests I made.

    -The Sims 3
I had fun while I played it, but I lost the CD so I haven't really played enough of it to judge.

    -Halflife
I loved this game. It was really slow to start but as it progressed it proved to me why this game is praised so much.

    -Left 4 Dead
It's a really fun game but it's been getting fairly repetitive, and I've only had it since Black Friday.

There's probably one I forgot but oh well.

    Other Games:

These games are games that I've either wanted but never got, games I planned on getting, or games that simply don't fit in a category.

    -Blood Bowl
I really wanted to get this game when it came out this summer, but the US/Steam release took so long to come that I simply lost interest when it finally did.

    -Team Fortress 2
I've owned this game within a month or two of its release, but my brother installed the Orange Box on his steam account so I never had the chance to play it. Now I plan on buying it because it's $5 off.

    -Battlefield Heroes
This game was a huge disappointment. I was anticipating it for months, delay after delay. When the beta came out it was slow paced and mildly entertaining. When the game was fully released it changed from a "Spend your money to look cooler than people" to "Spend your money to look any decent, have a good gun, use abilities all while buying them back after the month runs out, lest you pay 600% to get it forever" type of game.

    -Ruse Beta
It was fun and fairly challenging, but it was a bit slow at times and had no AI or match making, requiring the need for Steam friends to have a beta key as well.

    -Left 4 Dead 2 Demo
It was fun, but short as it was only half a level.

    -Borderlands
It seems fun but I' m waiting on friends to tell me if it's worth it or not.

That's all I can really think of, maybe I'll add on this if I can think of more.

And my Game of the year is:

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II

To anybody that knows me this is an obvious GotY from me. I am a huge fan of 40k, DoW and Relic as well as the games itself being incredibly fun, from the games I bought this year, and I guess the games of 09 that I've played, this game wins Game of the Year from me.

My Spoon cough cough Sig is too big

pvtdonut was kind enough to make a WH40k sig for me, but it's too big for GS. I'll probably end up resizing it myself, but I'll post it here for all (That actually read my blog) to see.

I also just bought Left 4 Dead on steam for $7.49

Edit: I just made myself a banner. Yay!
