Animal I have become?
Am I a bitter old man? You be the judge. The other day 3 of my nieces came over for a little bit. They went into my bedroom but I thought nothing of it since my wife was in there. They all left with my wife and daughter a little while later so total time here may have been 30 minutes tops. I was still working so I finished up about 4 hours later and went into my bedroom. As I walk by my TV I hear this noise. I look down and I notice my PS3 and 360 were both turned on. Nobody was in there long enough to even play a demo of a game no less start a game. Now it is 80-85 degrees already in my bedroom and I lost one 360 already so I don't even I do not leave my room any more without first shutting both my PS3 and 360(Yeah, you can call me paranoid). So right now I am angry that someone would just turn them on and not either: A--let me know if they have no clue how to turn it off or B--turn it off themselves. But of course nobody said a thing. So since it was so hot I had my fan on high all night. I wake up and turn it off and I hear yet another noise--really quiet this time. Yup, one of them also turned on my Wii and now it was on needlessly all night long. Now all this combined made me angry. I have no idea what would possess someone to walk by all 3 of my systems and hit the power button
Call me crazy or bitter but I paid for these systems and they weren't cheap--besides the Wii if you want to get technical--so I don't need them on needlessly when nobody is even using them. So am I just a bitter old man like my wife says?- Posted Jun 25, 2009 9:33 am PT

Are You Ready?
Are you ready? Are you ready?
For what's to come
Oh, I said are you ready? Are you ready?
For what's to come. - CreedAt the time of this posting we have 81 hours and 28 minutes to go till E3! So is everybody ready? What games are you hoping to see or hear about? Who do you think will take the Conference title this year? What do you suspect may be an announced surprise as in Square Enix announcing FFXIII for the 360 last year?
For me, I am simply taking Nintendo out of the equasion for best conference. I understand it was a business decision, on their part, and a business has to go in a direction where the money is but I still feel slighted for supporting them all these years with EVERY console/handheld iteration they had except the DSi. Let me give you an example. I went a year and a half between purchases for the Wii---Super Mario Galaxy way back in the Fall of 07' and Punch-Out just recently. I did rent 2 games in between but I didn't like either of them---Castlevania: Judgement and Dragon Quest Swords.
Sony has to come out strong and especially in the RPG department where they have been lacking something fierce. I want to see more of God of War III(this should definitely be a system seller if there are still people left on the fence about buying a PS3), the new PSP(I really wish they would add another analog stick already), the much rumored Slim PS3, PS3 price drop would be nice as well to help sell units and of course both FFXIII's and can't possibly forget Uncharted 2. De is my favorite game on the PS3 slightly edging out MGS4.
Microsoft can pretty much cruise through this E3 and make out just fine though I am dying to see info on Mass Effect 2(maybe another teaser trailer at the very least?). Mass Effect is currently my favorite current gen RPG so I can't wait to play this too. More info on Forza 3 and NHL 10. NHL 09 is the best NHL game I have ever played but there are things that can be corrected and I'd like to see how EA approaches it. I don't want to pay $60 for NHL 09.5. I want a true sequel.
What about everybody else?

Ramblin' Man
This blog is about me and my little problem. Talking when I type. Well, it is a problem for others if I am working and they're here in the living room trying to watch tv. I don't know why, and I even tried not doing it but whether I am typing a post/using AIM/writing an e-mail I say it out loud. The funny thing was I never realize I am doing it until someone--be it wifey, my nephew or my daughter--responds to me and that's when it hits me. It isn't just in my head but rather that I actually verbalize what I was currently typing aloud for anybody to hear. I can't help doing it time and time again no matter what I try and do to stop it. I am gonna go out on a limb here and assume that I am the weird one and as such nobody else does this, correct?
PS--It didn't take me over 4 months to beat DQV like it did with DQIV. It has a different story but kinda felt like I just played the same exact game. It seems to me like Chunsoft/Enix just dialed this one in when it was originally released. It also took less time to beat. I wanna say maybe 10-15 hours less than DQIV. Not sure but maybe this one was easier if there is such a thing? Here's hoping DQVI will be a bit better.
