  Xmas Presents Early - Dragon Age or Left 4 Dead 2???

  Well not really xmas presents but games given to me by my closest buddies over east. Trouble is I've got no time for these in the middle of my exams. So I'm asking you my GS friends out there to decide for me.
  Who's got either and which is better to play first?
  
  Dragon Age or Left for Dead 2?
  
  Screenshots look fabulous for both but please help me out.

  LEGO Robot Chronicles = STRESS!

  I have to vent my anger, for most of you out there that play games, you find some relief when riding down the street in a vehicle you could never afford, or fighting amongst enemies you'll never see, BUT even now and again you play a game that just is so frustrating that you cannot be bothered with it. The new lego Robot Chronicles campaign is so riduclously painful to play, it just puts you off ever wanting anything to do with it. You just get trapped in places you shouldn't. Everyone rebel against this game. Its doesnt matter to me, cause its done its dash..

  Your Top Movies of the Year

  I know its a bit early to start discussing your top 5 or top 10 movies of 2009, but its certainly been a year for the sci-fi nuts. I'm totally overwhelmed by the standard of the movies this year. I can only hope that we continue to see movies of this calibre for years to come.

  Are you a game collector?

  I had to laugh today, I remember back 10 years ago when the Nintendo 64 came out and the games were the cutting edge in console graphics. These days the game are something you;d play on you iphone yet, in a local game trading shop, funnily enough called "Game Traders", there lies a somewhat abused copy of Zelda : Ocarina of time in the unqiue gold cartridge.
  But that's not funny, no, the joke is the shop is trying to sell it for $79.95.... what?! ... I asked, yeah the collectors games are costing as much as they did back then.... so what obscure games have you seen for such a rip off?

  Ghostbusters & Prototype

  Here a couple of clever games and some nostaglia to boot.
  Playing prototype is like playing GTA san andreas with updated graphics and a sense that nobody really likes you. Running, jumping, blowing stuff up, avoiding the plague and stopping off for a pie N chips ever now and again. If your PC can run it, I would highly recommend having a looksee.
  Ghost busters on the other hand is a trip back to the 1st movie all the way back from 1984. Ghosts, the 4 guys, the ecto noice maker. RUnning down the hallway of the local hotel just to trash the hanging pictures, oh hang on, the ghosts, yes, we are suppose to be doing a job. I suppose this is why I failed the very 1st mission cause I spent the whole time running up a bill the US army would be proud of. Who ya gonna call...?

  SFX top 20 sci-fi games

  This blog is about the top 20 best sci-fi, fantasy and horror games as listed by a British magazine I get called SFX, this list was produced in the May 2009 Edition.
  
  There are some classics here, how many did you ever play. Lets see how I did
  01. Deus Ex
  played this on my brothers old PC
  
  02. Half Life
  reason why I upgraded my 1st PC was to play this
  
  03. Mercenary
  played this to death, even submitted a complete guide to one of the C64 magazines..
  
  04. Zelda : Ocarina of Time
  I had a great deal of fun playing this on the old n64 in between games of starfox.
  
  05. Syndicate
  another great game I spend way too much time on
  
  06. The Secret of Monkey Island
  never did manage to solve this one.
  
  07. Dragon's Lair
  played this to death in the arcades, my friend has the original laserdisc, only ever finished it once, the PC version never
  did it for me. I play it occassionaly on my DVD player..
  
  08. Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy
  another time waster, what ever happend to my copy of this?? maybe I burnt out the disc... a great text adventure... dont make em like these any more.

  A very sad story. please read for your own health.

  Hello all my gamespot friends.
  This blog is a dedication to my best mate's wife who's receiving treatment for terminal cancer of the liver. It has all come about from a tiny melanoma on the back of her heel left unchecked. It spread thru her blood system invading the liver. It was only diagnosed in January and she has not got much time left. Please for all your sakes, your family and friends, whether your young, old like me, female or male, examine yourself regularly and get the smallest dark spot checked by a doctor. Please I dont what to lose any more friends to the worst way to lose your life. I need your support in saying a prayer for her and her family of 3 children who will sadly miss her.

  Well the hard study is finished. the exams are over. the waiting for the results is now at hand...
  so whilst we await our future... we can get into some hardcore gaming.. break out Duke Nukem 3D!!!

  E3 09 The Blurbs

  Well this events seems have been quite a mixed bag. Its probably because they've been on at 12am, 2am in the morning and I can hardly keep awake at the best of times. Been some good titles to look forward to but I think there's only a couple that'll make it into the Xmas list for 09. Hope everyone else is enjoying the streams, bit unfortunate about the Beatles opening but oh well.. Got a nice new shiny emblem for my viewing pleasure.

  Does anyone go to game arcades???

  Back in the 80s it was cool to go and hang out at the local games arcade, (here in Perth, mostly called 'Timezone'). You would change a fiver and it would last you all day. A couple of games of sidearms, a game of blaster, followed by a game of scramble, couple of games of Adams Family pinny... These days we dont even leave the house... What happened??? Did the console wars have a unwelcome side-affect?? Who's seen the sun lately??
  Oh well maybe the answer is MAME, but still you need the original ROM sets to play them legally... We ARE living in a very different era to those years past...
  ANyone else remember the good ole days?

  Fuel Tanker Explosion

  News of the week.
  This happened about 2 weeks ago, just around the corner from where I live. This was considered one of the worst petrol fires in Perth's history. To their bravery, the fire department had it out in 45 minutes. No lives were lost, but the station and commerical building behind it were destroyed at a cost of around $2 million dollars AUD damage. The station is currently fenced off pending investigation into what caused it...

  Moved in

  What a nightmare, originally we started looking for a house in January, found one and lost it to a cash buyer, 4 weeks later we found another. The ball started rolling to get our finances sorta out, started packing and awaited for the big day. Cause, someone had other ideas. We were suppose to move over the Easter long weekend, nope, the builder decided to hold everyone up, next weekend, ANZAC, another potential move and still , he couldnt be bothered. Finally on the 7th May, exactly 3 months since the original agreement, we moved into our new home. up at 7am, finished ay 9pm. My back's now buggered and I can hardly move, I've got no phone or internet but there's definately light at the end of the tunnel.
