    GoldenEye 2010?

No idea what this is but it sure is fun to speculate!

First thought is, of course, some form of update to the original Nintendo 64 GoldenEye game. Perhaps something like the update that is being done to Perfect Dark for the 360. Then again, it could be something even bigger and better! GoldenEye completely re-made from the ground up using the current technology. THAT would be amazing.

The other route it could take is in the form of a "sequel" of sorts. Like the horrible GoldenEye: Rogue Agent. If this is the case (and I'm thinking it is) then they had better be very careful about the way they handle it. Everyone is going to have different ideas about what's best so I figure I share mine as well:

First off, keep the gameplay as close to the original game as possible. No weapon holding limit(!), an extensive cheat list, the ability to continue playing levels even after failing mission(s), no regenerating health, very little stealth, fairly short levels, and great hit animations.

What should be added to the game? I'd have to say more levels and more multi-player customization. That's it.

Now, I'm excited about the idea of a new GoldenEye (be it remake or sequel), yet, very unsure about it at the same time. I do NOT want another Rogue Agent, that's for sure. I want the makers of this game to both be HUGE GE fans and people that care about putting out a quality product.

    Yikes

Picture this: You're in a shoot-out with the cops. You're blasting away at them but have no where to retreat. It's either them or you and they FAR out-number you. You say to yourself "#&%@ it!" and charge at them. You're immediately met with a shower off bullets tearing into you. You fall backwards, bleeding out. You're dying. Everything has a reddish hue to it now and seems to be going in slow motion. You take it your last breaths and as you stare up, into the sky you realise that it's now obstructed by something. What is it? Is that... YES! My God! It's a close-up view of a jogging streaker's nut sack! You're vision fades to black. You are dead.

And that was my experience in Saints Row 2 today.

Other than that, I've been having a blast playing SR2! In fact, I prefer it to GTA IV. Mainly for ONE reason though. CHEATS! What the hell happened to all of GTA's awesome codes!? Where is Pedestrian Riot!? Pedestrians with Guns? Come on! Codes like that are what game the previous GTA games so much replay value for me! That's something that R* had better correct in the next installments. Perhaps even with an update to GTA IV? I don't know enough about game creation to know if that would even be possible but it's an idea.
