    'Dead Island' personal review

Okay, so I would like to start of by saying that I am going to try to make this a regular thing, and become an active user by writing my own reviews and comments rather than reading others!

So, onto Dead Island; personally I think it is a great game, a zombie sandbox game? How can it not be a good game? Well, actually there is a few reason as to why it could be just an alright game, like the dialogue and how sometimes the characters speak over each other in the cut scenes, and furthermore, some of the monologues cut out completely! The final bad point for me is that I never felt completely connected with the characters. The only way I truly feel that I know these people is because I am reading the book (even then the characters personalities are sometimes radically different)

However, besides these flaws I have found Dead Island to be one of the best games I have played so far this year, and it has totally taken up all of my gaming time, and I haven't even turned my eye to Fallout: New Vegas that I haven't finished yet (slow I know, but I only brought it a month or two ago) or even thought about getting Gears of War 3! Before I got the game I was rather skeptical because I thought it was just another generic zombie game, but it isn't! Well, it has zombies, but I feel so much more involved in this game than the others on the market. It is like a beautiful baby between Dead Rising and Left 4 Dead, where you can roam at your will, take quests off of the people around you, modify weapons, fight different types of zombies, pick your own character, gain experience and skills and, most of all, tear the living day light out of the zombies (see what I did there?). The graphics are also quite the sight, other than the synchronization of the talking and the mouth moving in time! Also, the dynamics and the physics, such as broking bones, chopping limbs off or drowning zombies, I thought was an extra added bonus, but at the same time it can be disappointing in other areas of physics, such as a beach ball that doesn't move in the way you would expect to or falls to the bottom of a swimming pool instead of floating.

All in all, I have found this to be one of the most entertaining, and gripping game I have played all year and I doubt that I will stop playing it until i have gone through all of the quests with all of the characters, and you can't beat good replay value can you? I highly recommed that whoever is reading this and hasn't got this game, go and get it! If you don't like it then you can blame all of your lifes problems on me! Buy it because: It is a bloody zombie sandbox game! Stop asking why, and start chopping some zombies up!

    Gamespot

I decided to sign up to Gamespot after a long, long, long time of coming on here to read reviews and watch previews, so it just made sense to join! Although, now I wish I had done it quite a long time ago due to the levelling up system. Can never escape a point hierarchy with the gaming community! hah. I think the system works pretty well though, but I just want my level to go up so I can voice my opinion amongst the community!

    Hurry up percentage!
