Well today I found out I got a 5 on my AP US History Exam, the highest score possible. I would've been happy with a 4, but a 5 is that much better. According the the Wiki article on it, only 11% of test takers score a 5.
I'm still wating for my AP Language and Comp scores. I have not received the letter that contains my scores for either test yet; I only found out because my History teacher called me and told me. I guess he gets the scores early.
Also, my emblem for the E3 live shows upgraded to Gold. Yay.
The saga of the missing emblem part, that is...
I finally got credit for watching the Sony Press conference. Before about an hour ago, that part of the emblem was empty. I didn't watch that press conference for nothing after all.... Oh, and that other emblem upgraded to silver.
I like my emblems.
And for yet another review update!!!- For those of you who care, I shortened my Halo 3 review by over 600 words. I finally realized 2578 words was a bit much. I cut out three paragraphs or so and condensed them into other ones. It is more manageable now if you have not read it already at a mere 1925 words. ![]()
...out of five. ![]()
This book was Frank Herbert's Dune. The book was very good, very complex. It was the type of story where if you stoop paying attention for one second you lose track of what is happening. I recommend it to anyone who likes science fiction. The first 100 pages or so are a little dull, but the story does pick up at a certain point.
The next book I am reading is The Catcher in the Rye. I have already read it, and I am reading it again. (My AP teacher aid we can reread 2 books we have already read.)
And so far I am rather unimpressed. Gamespot crashed a few times, the press conferences were devoid of anything interesting, and Bungie still hasn't said anything about its new project.
There are still a few days left though, so I can't say it has been a failure yet. The only hue announcement thus far has been the PS3's loss of exclusivity in FF13. I still can't believe that happened.
I've gotten two emblems so far, even though I still have not received credit for watching the Microsoft and Sony press conferences. I'm not going to worry too much unless a few days pass without me receiving these emblems.
And in other news, I nominated myself for a top reviewer emblem. I didn't write the reviews just for that of course, I do enjoy writing them, but that emblem is just one of those things I want to have.
Of course, I am not guaranteed to get one, but why not try right?
You can recommend yourself or other people you feel deserve the emblem in this thread here. The requirement is six reviews for written, and I am unsure of the amount required for the video one.The mods and admins decide who gets one from what I can tell.
If you didn't get the E3 live show emblem, there will be another Gamespot stage show tomorrow at 1Pm EST.
