  Phoenix Rising...

  I would like to say that this will mark my return to these beloved forums, but I highly doubt that. Just wanted to give a very grave and solemn personal update to those I was close to on here. Do you remember my lovely wife Erika aka MysticGurlie? She left me...back in March. In short she cheated on me and hasn't really looked back. By the grace of God I am doing well, but I would be lying if I said I don't still think of her. Don't think that will ever really stop. Anywho, for that and a couple other much less interesting reasons, I don't come on here for the community anymore. I don't expect I will check back on comments on this anytime soon, so if you would like to hear more, or just want to say hi, hit me up via email (darrencubb7@gmail.com), MSN (same as email), or on XBL. I am still an avid gamer and I would love to challenge any of you to a game of Call of Duty. Take care all. Until next time.

  Passion...

  I'm sick...

  It has been several days since I have been able to take a deep breath without coughing or sneezing right afterward. Being sick really sucks. It has given me a lot of time to think, however. And there is really only one thing that has been on my mind primarily: creation. Ever since I started getting serious about getting better at graphic arts, all it takes is allowing my mind to wander just the smallest bit and it will start thinking about what I can design next. Photoshop.......Illustrator...........UltraFractal.........Dreamweaver.........these have become as much a part of me as my own beating heart.

  My only wish? More time. I hardly get to work on designing between work, being a good husband, church and friends and family. Every chance I get, however I break out Nemesis and my Intuos3 and get to work. I feel....................really good when I design. There are so many aspects of why it feels so good.......I dare not try to explain them all. I probably don't even know the full extent of them myself. There is one in particular I cannot pass up....

  So there I am........sitting at Starbucks during lunch desiging like I do just about everyday. I sit there, much like all of you, and effectively manipulate 1s and 0s on my screen and somehow output a Jpeg that looks like this. Its actually quite amazing when you think about it. I am a Christian. Have been for going on 8 years now. And since beginning to design things it has let me appreciate the world around me in a way I have never been able to before. God's Creation is the most magnificent work of art that has ever been conceived. It is sometimes hard to regonize, however, the Truth that God painted on the canvas of the Night.
