    Indiana Jones in Space!

Hello once again. I've been a bit busy as the big fall is winding down. I finished up my reviews for Super Mario Galaxy and Uncharted, which are both great games for their respective systems.

As for what I'm doing right now, I flew to my parent's house for the holidays last night, which took about nine hours, including time zone changes and all that. The planes were cramped, so it was just easier to sleep as much as possible. I pretty much listened to some of the Tony Kornheiser Show and played some Gunpey to pass the time.

Now that I'm here, I brought my Wii with me and left the PS3 behind since I only had so much room. Brought Super Mario Galaxy, Zack & Wiki, and Wii Sports and Play to play. There's also my PSP and plethora of games, so I've got some entertainment options for the few days I'm here. I'd love to have Ratchet and Uncharted to play right now, but I can wait the few days to get back to playing them.

For the few that are still checking this out, have a happy Thanksgiving. I'm out.

Ninjas may rule over Pirates, but Zack's a good pirate.

As I mentioned before, I was working on a review for Zack & Wiki: The Incredibly Long Title and it's now up. You can read it here. As you can see by the score. I really enjoyed it, as I do most any puzzle game of this type. Exit and Crush are some cool examples of this kind of puzzle game on the PSP, though Z&W adds some point-and-click elements to the gameplay and visuals.

Right now, I'm playing Super Mario Galaxy. I managed to use GameStop's trade 5, get 30% extra trade-in deal to my advantage and got about $58 in trade-in credit for some games I either beat or had no use for anymore. I also got the coin that you're supposed to get only with pre-orders, which looks very nice. It's not the best pre-order incentive around (Bully's dodgeball win that honor for me), but it's more than most games offer up. I'm loving the game so far, as I'm about 14 stars into it, though the resetting of lives every time you save and quit the game is a bit cheap to me. I'd prefer them to either be harder to obtain or that it just not erase them to cancel out the ease of collecting lives. Either way, I should have the review done this weekend. Up next for review is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, which I'm definitley looking forward to getting next week. Unfortunately, I'll only be able to play for a day or so before I head back home for Thanksgiving since I'm not lugging the PS3 home for just a few days. I may take the Wii to play some Zack & Wiki and Super Mario Galaxy though since that thing's small and compact.

    My Reunion Tour Starts Now!

Hey guys, it's been a bit too long since I last posted here, so I figured that I'd make up for that by getting back into blogging here. The first thing I really want to do is post a list of all of my reviews for my own reference and so you can see how much work I've been doing since the spring. That will come at the end of the post, so you can read the most important stuff first. First off, I now owna PS3. I got it in July shortly after the price was dropped and I've been using the hell out of it. It's a really good machine that more people really should play around with before they make claims of it having no games or being a crap machine. I've left it on since the beginning of September, with maybe a few minutes of rest every few weeks when I have to turn it off for whatever reason. The really big news is that Amped News has anew name, Gamer 2.0, which we picked out in the summer or spring. It seems like forever since we were Amped News, though that wasn't the name I knew when I first joined.

As for what I've been playing lately, I've been quite busy. I reviewed Dancing with the Stars for the Wii, you probably don't need to read it to see how good it is, but your curiosity may get the best of you. I also reviewed Mercury Meltdown Revolution for the Wii before that, which is the much better game of the two and it won't cost you an arm and a leg to acquire. I also wrotea preview for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for the PS3 when the demo came out last week, which should be another great game for the PS3 this fall. I'm currently working on Zack & Wiki for review, which I should be done with that by tomorrow. I plan to go and get Super Mario Galaxy tomorrow or Thursday, which I'm reviewing for Gamer 2.0 for next week. Uncharted will be my game to get next week for the week after that, though I'll be playing it a lot right away since I'll be gone for Thanksgiving most of next week.

I also got Gamefly, so I can play more games than I can actually afford, so that's going to be a good thing to have for the fall. My car's been crapping out for my lately, so I haven't been able to get to a mailbox and drop off the Bleach Wii game for something like Assassin's Creed or maybe Stranglehold. Maybe CoD4 if I feel like it. I just noticed something when I was looking at the time, I've been with the Amped IGO/News/Gamer 2.0 site for two years now, which is a lot longer than it feels like I've been there.

Looks like something messed up right now, so I'll just edit this in a little bit with the reviews I've done and a total review count.

    Wii
    Dancing with the Stars
    Madden NFL 07
    Mercury Meltdown Revolution
    Metal Slug Anthology
    Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution
    Super Paper Mario
    Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08
    Trauma Center: Second Opinion
    Wii Play

    PS2
    Guitar Hero II
    Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80s
    Hot Shots Tennis

    MLB 07: The Show
    MVP 07 NCAA Baseball
    Odin Sphere

    PSP
    ATV Offroad Fury Pro
    Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars
    Crush
    Daxter
Death, Jr. 2: Root of Evil
    Hot Brain
    Jeanne D'Arc
    Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
    NASCAR 07
    Online Chess Kingdoms
    Pocket Racers
    Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters
    Star Trek: Tactical Assault(DS version)
    Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror
    Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas
    WTF
    Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force

    PS3
    Everyday Shooter
    Folklore
    Heavenly Sword
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
    Warhawk

    PS3/360
    All-Pro Football 2K8(PS3 version)
    NASCAR 08(PS3 version)
    NBA Live 08(PS3 version)

And that's everything. Wow, I've certainly been busy in the past year of reviewing games with 44 reviews, counting multi-platform games. The big 5-0 should be too far away, as I'll probably hit it before the end of the year is through. My very first review (Trauma Center for Wii) was my first review on December 11, 2006, so I hope I can get to 50 by the time December 11, 2007 rolls around, which is just over a month from now. Wish me luck on that and please check out at least one of my reviews and let me know what you think about it, the site, or whatever. Thanks againand I'm hoping to possibly get a new post up later today or tomorrow.
