  Whats wrong with being a gamer?

  Whats wrong with being a gamer? Why do many people have an issue with it? I am a PSP gamer, it is the only system that I have and play. I bought my PSP in 2007, prior to that I owned a PS2, Sega Genesis, Sega Game Gear & NES. Those are all of the systems that I have ever owned in my life and I am 29 years old. I would not say I am a hard core gamer, but I do enjoy some types of video games. I did not own any of the Generation 5 systems and the PS2 was giving to me by my brothers when they bought another PS2. I barely used the PS2. For some years I did not even play video games. In 2007 I was laid off from my job at America Online as a techie, I started smoking a lot of weed to deal with the issue as well as a way to deal with a very stressful girlfriend that I had at the time. I got a job as a taxi driver, which brought me in contact with many different types of people. I had a stripper fare named Susie (not sure if that was her real name) that use to have a PSP with her everytime I picked her up from work or home. Once I knew where she was going she didnt have to give me directions because she was a regular fare and she went to pretty much the same places. She was always telling me to get a PSP because it was so great and so fun to use. There would be moments when I would be in my taxi cab waiting on a call. Nothing would be on the radio and I would be bored out of my mind. Then I remembered SUSIE....I went to Gamestop and inquired about the PSP, only to be told the DS was better, I was unfamiliar with the DS so I left Gamestop with nothing. The next time I saw Susie I asked her about the DS vs PSP thing. She was fair about it and stated that I should look up both on the net and make my choice from there. I choose the PSP. Got my PSP and wow....I was like Susie was right. There were so many things that I could do with it. I was never bored inbetween fares. Music, Internet, Videos, Pictures(Porn).....and Games?? All in one device? I love the thing. Sometimes when people are around they make negative comments about me enjoying the device. Why? If I am entertaining myself and not bothering anyone why bother me about it? Why is gaming so wrong to people who are not gamers?
