Sonic Unleashed: Levels with racing looks like it could be fun. Never really got into the old Sonic games and haven't played any new ones so I don't know if I could be bothered purchasing it. The Werehog levels look like they could get a bit repetitive and a bit too easy, I'd like to see some more variety with the Werehog levels. Again, we will see what else they reveal with this game. Graphics are cool to look at considering how fast you go in the game and they remain consistent and look great which I wasn't expecting.
Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood: I expected more talk on the story as Bioware is making the game but unfortunately just saw one fight. So right now I'm not interested in it and probably won't get it unless it gets great reviews.
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe: I've never played a Mortal Kombat game and don't usually buy fighting games when they come out as they're just too expensive and I so far no fighting game has made me think they're worth the full $80 price tag. I only get Tekken games at about $15 so I don't know about this one. Sure, it looks like it could be fun but I just get too bored of them too quickly to want to buy it.
Tom Clancy's EndWar: Again, I doubt I'll ever get it; I'm just not a strategy guy. But man, I'm sure strategy fans are going to absolutely love this game. It does look awesome, the voice commands and the unique AI that they have will just make this game better than most other strategy games out there. I love just watching them all run to one place and it's like you're watching heaps of people online playing a FPS when it's actually computers in a strategy game! So yeah, it's gonna be great.
Spore: I still cannot wait for this game!!!! It looks so awesome and I love making creatures using creature creator. This game is going to be EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been following this game ever since the name just got created and every time I see a new gameplay video I just smile, it looks so freaking good that I think I'm going to pee my pants right now.
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway: I still haven't played any Brothers in Arms game but I've heard they're all really good so I may give this one a rental. It does looks like fun, the graphics aren't that great for the next-gen consoles but as long as the gameplay is fulfilling enough it should be great. Also the story seems very engaging unlike many other FPS games, even though this one's a FPS/Strategy game, so we'll see what scores it gets after it comes out.
Updates On Life
For those of you who haven't noticed yet, I only really comment on 360 games and DS games, but Spore gets a special treatment as I'm still getting it even though my PC isn't up to scratch with the newer ones. I will give a special Little Big Planet which (surprise?) looks absolutely freaking amazing, even though people like me will absolutely suck making levels, I'm sure it'd be heaps of fun playing with other peoples levels just as much as knowing how to make them. Also Flower looked great and was very entertaining to watch it being played, I know I might not ever play it in my life but man I wish I was able to.
Anyway, my next Impressions blog will be on the second half of July 16th. This I can't wait to watch and write impressions on as for people who just started reading my blogs, it contains my favorite games I'm most looking forward to. Of course there's Project Origin which is the sequal to one of my most favorite games ever made....F.E.A.R.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely love F.E.A.R. and even though I won't say I'm obsessed with anything, I will say that I may have a slight obsession with everything that has to do with F.E.A.R.. I'll also be watching Tomb Raider: Underworld, Lego Batman, Fable II, Mercernaries 2 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. So those are all on my most wanted list after hearing of them and so I can't wait to watch the stage demos!
In quick updates of my life...I completed Call of Duty 2, I'm writing reviews on Area 51, Call of Duty 2 and Jak 3. I'm playing Ben 10: Protector of Earth and Need for Speed: Most wanted right now. Reading Eldest (the sequal to Eragon) and loving it. I will hopefully see Dark Knight this weekend as I can't take anymore of people talking about it. X-Files movie comes out this week! I'm a massive X-Files fan and even though I won't see it in cinema as I don't know anyone else who loves X-Files, I'm thinking of buying a boxset or two this weekend instead. I just got a pretty un-official job of editing books for a good friend I know and so I'm earning a bit more money off of that and so I'm thinking of buying a brand new game this weekend. I'm thinking Bioshock or Mass Effect. Help me choose please!
That's all for today, I'm gonna go watch the Force Unleashed Stage Demo now! Cya!!!!!!!!!!!
So it took me a while but I'm through July 14th and 15th of video footage. So that means: Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo Press Conferences. And stage shows for: Rock Band 2, Gears of War 2, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X., Too Human, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Prince of Persia and Xbox Live Arcade Games Demo. I watch all the Stage Shows for all games but I'll only be doing impressions of the ones on the DS and the Xbox 360. Now on with my thoughts!
Press Conferences
Microsoft Press Conference: I thought this was the best Press Conference out of them all (again) as they had lots of demo's for the biggest games coming out and lots of new surprises for everyone. It wasn't all just talk, talk, talk, it was: watch this awesome footage!!!!!! Now guess what!!!!! Final Fantasy is coming on the 360!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that was the biggest surprise, not just for me, but for everyone, whether it's a good or bad thing. I knew I'd be giving up on lots of my faovirte PlayStation 2 series when I got a 360 instead of a PlayStation 3, so I'm so happy that Final Fantasy won't be one of them! So alltogether it was an awesome and very entertaining Press Conference to watch, just like last year!!!!!
Sony Press Conference: Meh. The only thing entertaining in it was Little Big Planet, which was really cool to watch. But apart from that it was pretty boring and mostly talking. Oh yeah, the announcement of MAG was pretty cool and I'm actually very interested to see if they can pull that off or not. Holding 256 people in one server is a big statement.
Nintendo Press Conference: Not as bad as the Sony Press Conference but still didn't have enough surprises or new things to show off other than big kids smiling over a game you'll get bored of after 10 minutes. The 'You're in the Movies' Stage Demo was sad at best. But Wii Music and the new Animal Crossing did catch my attention. It's a shame that there was no DS announcements in it, because that's what I was most looking forward to.
Stage Demo's
Rock Band 2 had great information but I don't like watching people play it, I wanna play it myself!!!!!!!! I'll most probably buy it depending on how I feel about Guitar Hero: World Tour.
Gears of War 2 looked great and I'm sure everyone was blown away when they showed off the demo and at the end the guy said "If they can ride it, so can we" That was just awesome and my mouth dropped and I wanted to cheer along with the audience at the Press Conference.
H.A.W.X. is the first Flight-Sim I think I'll buy, as all the other ones I've played I have absolutely sucked at but this one seems realistic as well as very accessable for people who aren't good at these kinda things. So I can't wait to find more stuff on it and I may rent it out when it comes out!
Too Human I'm not quite sure about yet, after seeing the gameplay I could see the physics in the enemies weren't up to scratch and was dissapointed to hear that it's coming out in a few weeks as I think that game could use a bit more time. I don't want the same thing to happen to it as it did to Blacksite Area 51 that was one of my most wanted games of last year that ended up being a load of %$^& because they didn't spend enough time on it.
Fallout 3 I'm also not sure on. Because of one reason you all probably know already. I hate Elder Scrolls games with a passion. I know why people love them and I'm not at all saying they're bad games. Just none of them do it for me. What with all that stuff to read for every quest, and I think that all the ways they've tried to 'improve' the way quests that you're doing at the moment are recorded were absolutel fails and were just too complicated to figure out. And there are so many more reasons why I hate them but let's not go into that. So I really don't know about this one, yes, it looks incredible, but so did Oblivion, and I ended up hating it.
Far Cry 2 looked AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm definatly, definately buying it even though I hated Far Cry because of how they said you can either be stealthy or just run and gun in it, but with the overly hard difficulty level you were kinda forced to go stealthy. But anyway, forget that, Far Cry 2 just looks amazing and I even saw on the Live Stage Show list: Far Cry 2 Encore Demo. So obviously everyone else thinks the same way!!!!!!!
Prince of Persia I'm not interested in, I still need to get the first three on PS2 before I get it and see what I think of those before I get any thoughts on it. I think the way they did that every battle is like a boss battle is interesting but just depends on how many enemies there are in the games. The other games seemed to be a hack and slash/adventure/puzzle game and now it just seems like a puzzle/adventure game which I don't know if fans would like.
Xbox Live Arcade Demos all looked pretty cool, definately Geometry Wars 2 which I'll definately get when it comes out!
So those are my impressions of July 14th-15th. Please leave comments telling me your thoughts and opinions on what I've said and on the games and press conferences.
Well here we are. Half way through 2008. Time to reflect on all the movies I've seen so far this year and decide on the top five and the bottom five. I've seen all the big movies that came out this year and this is all in my opinion as well. So here we go with:
Bottom 5 Movies From January-June
5. The Eye

Yeah, it scared the hell out of me when I went to see it. But apart from that, it was just an average horror movie. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't that good either. It's a movie I completely forgot that I even saw it after two days, it was just so....average. Don't bother with this one, it's just going to rot away on the shelves along with all those C-grade comedies like:
4. Superhero Movie

This was about the same amount of funny as Scary Movie 4, which I guess is a good thing as Scary Movie 4 did have it's moments. But don't worry, it's not nearly as bad as Epic Movie or Meet The Spartans. Again, it did have it's moments, but then again it had all those bad moments as well.
3. Vantage Point

Now I know that a lot of people loved this movie, I can't see why but whatever. This movie was a very very cliche movie that was just boring to watch but was done in a way that seemed like the director was saying "Hey, look how cool this is, see how we change point of views. This is how we're gonna cover up that the plot is completely unoriginal" Me and my friend figured out who the bad guy was at the very beginning. We also really knew everything that was going to happen, it's just so cliche and boring that we actually wanted to walk out half way through. People say that it was 'action-packed'. I'm sorry, but seeing the same action scene over and over again does not make a movie action-pacled.
2. 10,000 B.C.
![]()
Don't even get me started on this movie. It was the most anti-climatic movie ever made. I thought you would've seen sabre-tooth tigres battling cavemen. But NOOOOOOOOOOOO, instead there is a sabre-tooth tigre about to kill a guy, but the guy says "Please, if I save you, promise you won't kill me" and so the tiger doesn't kill him. The action scenes were just really boring and the dialogue has to be the worst dialogue I have heard from a movie in a loooong time. Please, stay away from this horrible movie.
1. Meet The Spartans

Surprise? This movie had two parts in it, count that...two parts that made me chuckle a bit. But after that, it just got to horrible, so un-funny that it was unwatchable. I could not stand how un-funny this movie was and if I met someone who thought it was a good movie. I'd probably punch them in the face. It's really THAT bad. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people saw it because it was #1 in the Box Office in America for one week, thankyou America!!! Now we can all expect to line up for Epic Movie 3 next year.
Well here we are. Half way through 2008. Time to reflect on all the movies I've seen so far this year and decide on the top five and the bottom five. I've seen all the big movies that came out this year and this is all in my opinion as well. So here we go with:
Top 5 Movies From January-June
5. The Incredible Hulk
![]()
I thought it was everything a Hulk movie should've been. It had awesome action throughout it and the non-action parts might not of been great but they weren't bad. It was a very solid movie that you should watch as I doubt you won't enjoy it, unless Liv Tyler will put you off with her less than average acting.
4. I Am Legend

It was very scary and had the whole cinema screaming and cowering in their seats, but it was also action packed and was a surprisingly amazing drama movie. I loved how Will Smith played his role and thought he did it very well from talking to the mannequins to his relationship with his dog. It was an awesome movie which no one left the cinema complaining about.
3. Forgetting Sarah Marshell

One of the funniest movies I've seen in a very long time. I loved how all the characters were so real and the comedy wasn't stupid or anything, it was just 'real'. It was a very refreshing movie that I absolutely loved. Judd Apatow never dissapoints.
2. Iron Man

Um.....^ 'nuff said? Well, if you want to hear more then...this movie was AWESOME! It was hilarious, had awesome action, awesome acting, awesome movie at the end of the credits, and anyone will like it! ANYONE!
1. Cloverfield

I love telling this story about me and this movie. So here it is again: I was off to see a movie with two friends last year. Now, all that was released for this movie was like the poster above but without any writing. It was just the Statue of Liberty without a head. I remember turning to my friends and saying "I promise you guys that whatever that movie that poster is for is going to be one of the best movies ever!" I just had this feeling. Now, in school we were learning about cinematography and my teacher showed us the teaser trailer for Cloverfield, I said "I told you...." the whole grade was pumped for the movie. Now, half of us hated it, half of us absolutely loved it. It's a love or hate movie. I happily loved it and think that to this day it is the best movie ever made.
Now, we can't have a top 5 list without a bottom 5 list can we? So next week I will present you with my bottom 5 movies of 2008 from January-June.
2008
Keep in mind that I live in Australia so maybe these movies are already out on DVD in your country or came out ages ago. These are all movies that haven't come out yet that will in the next six months (July-December).

2009
These are movies that I've been looking forward to from up to 6 years ago!!!! 2009 seems to be the best year for movies so far for me. But I am not sure whether these movies will come out in 2009 or not, so don't quote me on this.

Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale), the man fated to be the leader of the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators, and the future he was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a Terminator whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they find out a terrible secret that may lead to the possible annihilation of mankind.
It is coming out on May 22nd, 2009 and the teaser trailer will be released along with The Dark Knight. Schwarzenegger might make a cameo appearence in it but will not be a main role as of his government duties. The director is doing it in a way so that it will get a PG-13 rating. He says he's doing it that way because he wants the movie to go to a wider audience but still stay intact with what made the Terminator series what it is today.
A remake is in production. The Director is Martin Campbell (GoldenEye, The Mask of Zorro, Casino Royale), Michael Bay is one of three prodcuers and Naomi Watts will star as the main role.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. According to Director, Michael Bay, they now have a much bigger budget thanks to the huge sucess of Transformers, so now the Transformers will have a bigger role and the effects will look even better than they did in the first movie. All the actors will return to their original roles.
AND NOW FOR THE MOVIE I'VE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO FOR 6 YEARS!!! THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE IN MY OPINION!!!!!!! HERE IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!

Not much is known about this movie due to many script changes and actors not being able to return to their original roles. But never fear, I still believe it will come out next year as they said that the filming will begin in 2008.
