    General Ramblings....

A couple of months ago i discovered the odd and quickly expanding genre of "Tower Defense Games". My first impressions of the genre was actually very very good. During one of our mildly amusing SFL lessons, someone had found another soon to be blocked game website, originally named "i-spelen.co...".

Anyway the game is called "Bloons Tower 2" and of the genre it's the only one that works. Any other version starts well but then ends up confusing and absolutely impossible, to the extent of you button mashing which is simply annoying and apparently load enough to attract the attention of our half-arsed teacher.

BY THE WAY - This started as a DEFCON review but i gess this'll just be a blog post instead.

    My Beauty

I have just got a fairly smashing new computer (yay!) My initial budget was around the mark of £600 (something from Dell or Philips), but after many tea based arguments with my Dad I managed to boost the budget up and up. Eventually we've ended up with an £1100 custom built Beast. It's amazing (btw i went from a crapppy little laptop to this so... its a beast as far as im concerned). My only regret is that I didn't push for the SLI version of the graphics card, we wouldn't have bought the second card, but it would be nice to have the option now. Anyway heres the specs of the hairy dodger:

    CPU: - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.00 GHz

    RAM: - 2 Gb

Graphics Card: - NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB

Operating System: - Windows Vista (The "problem child")

    Lovely isn't it?

"Welcome to the Circus of Values" - Vending Machine

I have just finished Bioshock. I now, "it took me a while", but due to unforeseen circumstances, my little scum of a brother, I was cut off 4 hours before the end. I had spent weeks and weeks, staring at the case, rolling through every recorded tape I had listened to, every face I had seen, every piece of Rapture that I could remember in my head to try and put together a suitable ending for what I would only describe as an amazing game.

Having finished the game I can honestly say that the ending I came up with is much, much better, (though it would have contradicted 4 cut-scenes and 2 major plot twists...and the murder of Andrew Ryan)

    (It's still an amazing game)

But you have to hand it to 2K for their formidable triumph . Maybe they just ran out of Brain Juice to keep the game going at such a high quality and pace...
