All About Carrnevil9

Really, it's a song by Emerson Lake and Palmer, not an arcade game. Of course, they spelled it Karn Evil 9, but that's besides the point.

    Exp blues

Been a while since I've posted anything. A while as defined as: GoW, R6 Vegas, Chromehounds, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Viva Pinata, and Neverwinter Nights 2. All of these have been fun, but I think Vegas has been the most fun so far. More than likely related to my compulsive need to make Scout Trooper armor, but still. Neverwinter Nights 2- It's a fun game, but it really hasn't gotten many positive reviews. I'll speak up for it though! So far my half-demon paladin (the living oxymoron) hasn't been doing so well, but hopefully I'll be able to spec duelist soon. Perhaps I'm the last person in the world who still plays these games as a heroic character, doing good and noble acts because it's the right thing to do. Even though the morality system (implemented in KotOR especially) is a bit backwards (Good works making you good, evil works making you evil. And rich.)

Bored enough to blog? You bet!

As I type this, it's 8:34 AM. If finished work at 7:00 AM, and told my boss that I'd be taking tonight off. Though I got a bit of a weird looks when I said I wanted to spend one of my few and precious PTO (Payed Time Off) days staring at my TV, wildly gyrating my thumbs and mumbling incoherently at an uncaring screen; I got a few questioning looks. But, as many of you 360 owners know, Gears of War is OUT. As well as Call of Duty 3. This means, in layman's terms, that my life for the next 48 hours is going to consist of (1) playing the aforementioned games and (2) passing out. Now, granted, I enjoy my other 360 games quite a bit. DoA 4 is always fun, CoD 2 to a much greater extent, and that Zombie Genocider acheivment in Dead Rising is begging me to finish my Megaman (Rockman for you purists) costume. But I feel I can say with some degree of certainty, that my favorite part of any game is always co-op. Gears seems to understand this, and I can't wait to get online and show everyone how little I know. Co-op is the opportunity to prove that you have a better way to take down the enemy than your friend, it is the ability to say "OK, I'm gonna try something really stupid, you hang back here so I can respawn." Because as great as AI teammates are, I'll never be able to look at them and feel safe. I mean, these guys are controlled by the same thing that's controlling my enemies! At the same time, I've never had a computer player tell me "Hey, watch what happens when you kill Keys!" and then repeat said motion ad nauseum.
