I'm really hoping tonight isn't the last time I see the cast and crew create a new episode of Jericho. Though, I fear it may be. However, regardless of what the future holds for Jericho, I am atleast thankful that CBS listened to the fans and gave us a second season and hopefully a proper ending.

Leaving the show with the cliffhanger from season one would've been terrible after all of the time that the fans invested in the show and wanting to know what happened would've bothered me for a very long time. Thankfully they were given the opportunity to film an ending that wraps things up nicely.

The odds of Jericho getting picked up by another network are pretty small but anything is possible and I wont give up hope. Either way, Jericho is one of the best shows I have ever watched and one of the few that holds my attention from start to finish every week. Atleast I will always have my season DVDs to watch.

    ::LAST SPOILER WARNING::

I'm still in shock that FOX actually released a press release with such a huge spoiler in it. If you haven't read already (even tho its on TV.com's front page under news) Tony Almeida, previously thought to be dead in Season 5, is going to be alive and well in Season 7. It hasn't been said if he is going to be a series regular or if this will be a guest appearance. Will we merely see a tape of Tony, rather than him actually being alive? Who knows. Only January 13 2008 wll tell us.

I've always thought that Tony Almeida was the best character, not named Jack Bauer, on 24. Carlos Bernard is a great actor who took a pretty standard and bland supporting character that Tony was in season one and turned him into a huge fan favorite. Tony started out being the annoying, pissed off CTU employee who hated Jack and always disagreed with him. He was also around to be a red herring, "is he or isnt he" the mole in the first season. Season two, the writers gave Tony and Michelle a decent background romance story that captivated the fans and propelled him to the forefront. Season three Tony was just a big a character as Jack and from there he never looked back. Season four gave us the most memorable character return in 24 history when Tony swooped in to save Jack and Audrey. Hopefully, Tony's season seven return will be even better than season 4.

I love 24 and will always be a loyal and die-hard fan no matter what they do. I've never missed an episode and I never will. I just hope and pray that the writers have a very intelligent and entertaining way of bringing Tony back and are not just doing this for ratings. Season seven could be one of the best of all time.

    Other TV thoughts:

    - Can't wait for season two of Heroes to begin next week. I am presently watching the first season since I missed all of it last year. Bought the first season dvd's today and have already blown through the first disc and a half.

    - Mentioned it in the last blog, but I am really looking forward to next week's season premiere of Smallville. I've always been a Superman fan and seeing Clark fight Bizarro is going to be great stuff. Also looking forward to seeing what happened to Lana (unlike many fans on here I actually don't mind her and Clark's relationship).

    - Been watching a few of Kevin Smith's movies lately and it made me really want the My Name is Earl season premiere to come sooner. Jason Lee is hilarious and I cannot wait for a new season of Earl.

The fall season has begun. I've been looking forward to this for awhile. I always enjoy and hate the fall every year. Plenty of new shows to get involved in but plenty of disappointment when they are cancelled after 4 episodes. Every year I try not to get involved too much with new shows for the fear that they will get cancelled but I always get too attached and extremely disappointed.

The first new show of the fall started last night with FOX's K-Ville. I've been looking forward to this one for awhile. I like the idea of the show taking place in post-Katrian New Orleans and have always thought this show has a ton of potential. After viewing the pilot episode I still think it has plenty of potential; it just needs to start showing it better. The "plot twist" of last nights episode was pretty far-fetched and the writing was lacking at times. However, it still has a great general plot, a great lead actor in Anthony Anderson (a very underrated actor, just watch him on The Shield and tell me he doesnt have talent...you can't), a good supporting actor in Cole Hauser (hasn't shown a wide acting range, but I've always enjoyed his work as atleast being entertaining), and plenty of great scenery to teach people about New Orleans' condition. I really hope this show continues to get better with each episode and can hold onto its audience after pretty good ratings for the premiere. I'm not getting my hopes too high as this show is by no means guaranteed to last.

Prison Break started its third season last night. Yet again they pulled off a very exciting and entertaining season premiere. I'm glad to see Michael and the gang back in jail. The first season was superior to the second because it had the best main character: the prison. The gang being on the run was fun but it started to lose steam in the middle of the season and was saved by some pretty extraordinary episodes at the end of the season. I just hope that the plot ideas don't mimic what was done in season one. Considering the vast difference between Fox River and Sona, I don't see that being an issue. The inmates are much scarier in Sona and will provide plenty of tense moments. I'm also hoping that Mahone and Michael start to coexist soon. I've always liked Mahone's character as he is a supreme badass and played by the ultra-talented William Fichtner. Michael employing Mahone in his latest jail-break will be extremely fun to watch. I have a feeling I'm going to love this season.

Looking forward to the rest of my favorites coming back. Next week's Smallville premiere is going to be great.

Maybe I shouldn't be as surprised as I am, but I was so angry and shocked this morning when I read that Jericho had been canceled.  I could not believe that the one new show that I really fell in love with this season is not going to be back next fall.  Jericho really was the best new television series I watched this season (I probably would rank Heroes higher but I never got into it and am waiting for the DVD set to come out).  It had a great cast, a great storyline and it was constantly improving. The last three episodes were the best of the season.

I hate how CBS lets Jericho leave us with a huge cliffhanger, where I was literally on the edge of my seat wishing that the episode/season was not over.  It will be semi-satisfying to read interviews with the creators/writers and find out what they would have done next season.  However, it is still going to feel empty that I cannot continue to enjoy such a great show.

I was really shocked because Jericho had such great ratings in the first half of its season.  Granted the ratings did drop off in the second half but that is more to blame on CBS than on the cast and crew and fans of Jericho.  CBS should hold themselves to blame since they are the ones that kept Jericho on hiatus for almost 3 whole MONTHS.  That is a long time for an audience to be expected to wait on a show that has only been on for a half a season.  Even shows like Lost and Heroes suffered dramatic ratings drops this season because of their long layoffs.  The show did not suffer in quality, in fact it only got better. However, CBS and their 3 month layoff is what ultimately doomed the show.

I'm hopeful that Jericho will get picked up by another network. I'd even love it if USA or TNT picked it up, but someone like FOX, CW, ABC or NBC would better.  It's a tall order and really just wishful thinking, but a fan can always believe in something.  Besides, JAG I don't really remember too many shows that were dropped by a major network and went on to succeed on another network. But I'll continue to hope that one of this season's best freshman shows will return somehow.

    Long live Jericho!

Very rarely (actually it never happened before) do I walk out of a movie theater and say "That was the best movie I've ever seen". Thats a huge statement and one that should not be thrown out there all of the time if one expects to have any sense of credibility.

However, I found myself saying that exact statement when I left the theater of The Departed on its opening night. I have now seen the movie 4 times and can honestly say that it is the best movie I've ever seen.

Martin Scorsese is far and away the greatest living director today. Its downright blasphomous that he hasn't won an Oscar yet, but The Departed is more than worthy of earning him his first statue. With films like Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Casino, Gangs of New York...how can you not like a director with that resume? He's a cinematic genius.

What impressed me most was Leonardo DiCaprio. He was more than believable as a street thug, tough guy, criminal/undercover cop. Definitely my favorite character in the film.

Matt Damon is also superb in this movie. Great performance on his part, he helps never let the film get boring. Obviously, having Jack Nicholson in the movie can't hurt either. He is fantastic as the crazy mob boss, Frank Costello.

The Departed has it all: amazing plot, great soundtrack, incredible performances from the entire cast. I love this movie and cannot wait to own it on DVD.

    Greatest movie ever.

I've been pleasantly surprised with how good Jericho is. Its suspenseful, action-packed and filled with mystery. Everything a good drama needs.

It can go a little over the top with some of the drama, but thats ok. It makes up for it with interesting storylines. I really love this show, I'm just happy that it go a full season.

It's that time of the year again. Time for me to really get into new shows only to see them get cut from the schedule a mere 3 episodes into their run.

This year's cuts are starting early with Smith and Kidnapped getting the axe. Kidnapped is atleast allowed to finish its 13 episode order and the producers say they have a contigency plan that will wrap the show up in those 13 episodes. Thats a semi-relief.

Smith, however, did not suffer the same fate. They got worse. The show is no longer going to be aired, after only 3 episodes. This never makes any sense to me, 3 episodes is barely enough time to develop a following. It also doesn't help that its on the same night as Nip/Tuck and Boston Legal. Two shows in their 4th and 3rd seasons, respectively, that already have developed their followings.

Smith was given no chance. I don't remember ever seeing that many advertisements for it. Its a 10pm show, not exactly the timeslot to have a new show be easily discovered in without advertising it strongly.

The cast was pretty damn good too. Ray Liotta was superb and every member of his team was entertaining. This show is now dead, but I cant say I'm suprised.

Thief and Heist didn't do very well last year, I guess no one likes shows about robberies and heists anymore.

Bring on the next CSI reincarnation, or another hospital drama. Unoriginal, but atleast they get ratings.

This season has really surprised me in terms of the quality of the new shows. I was blown away by how good these shows were. I didn't expect to, and hoped I wouldn't, like as many of the new shows as I do. Hopefully they all keep the ratings high and stick around for a full season.

    Shows I Love:

Standoff - Awesome show. I love how each episode is its own case but also develops the long-term character storylines. I also liked how they got the main characters' relationship out in the open right away instead of playing the typical tv series game of "will they or wont they" for a few seasons.

Jericho - Real surprised by this one. Wasn't planning on watching but I caught a 10 minute stretch in the middle of the episode and loved it. The scene on the bus was incredible. I tivo'd the replay of the pilot and now I'll be setting it as a series recording. Good show.

Shark - Great legal drama. James Woods is incredible. The pilot was really a one man show and Woods pulled it off perfectly. He sucks you in and makes you want to keep watching.

Studio 60 - Great show. Amazing pilot. Very funny and just makes you smile. I really like the chemistry between Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford. This is going to be a great show.

Smith - Ray Liotta and heists. Nuff said. Great pilot, I'm really digging this show. Amy Smart is hott. Hopefully this show lasts longer than Heist did. I have a feeling it will since it is a much superior show.

Justice - Awesome show. The legal team is great. Victor Garber once again plays a cool character. I really like the way the show is set up. I'm a big fan of the ending, where they show you how the person actually died. Very cool.

Kidnapped - Very good pilot episode. Jeremy Sisto's character is very cool. Looks like this show will continue to get better as the kidnapping plot unfolds more. I like that they got things off and running pretty quickly.

    Shows I'm Not Sold On:

Vanished - Awful. I really dislike this show. The lead investigator is terrible.

    Yet To Premiere:

    Heroes (Tomorrow @ 9)

    30 Rock (Oct. 11 @ 8 )

    The Nine (Oct. 4 @ 10)

    Friday Night Lights (Oct.3 @ 8 )

Went to see Snakes on a Plane this weekend. This movie was incredible. Haha, I never expected to actually like it as much as I did. I fully went in expecting to watch a horrible movie. But get this....its so horrible, that its good. Really good.

I have never had as much in a movie theater than I did when I watched Snakes on a Plane. The crowd was so into the movie, applauding and screaming at the screen with every chance they got. I basically watched the movie with a huge smile on my face from start to finish.

The plotline is quite rediculous, but it never tries to take itself too seriously. The people involved in this film knew exactly what type of film they were making and stuck to it. They actually made it very enjoyable, despite the campy dialouge and rediculously over-the-top scenes.

But that is what makes it fun. This isn't an Academy Award winning film and no one ever expected it to be. It is what it is, a fun enjoyable summer film. It's motherf***ckin snakes on a motherf***in plane!

    Now go see it.

Just finished watching the Prison Break season one DVD set. I forgot how good all of the episodes are. Each one is consistently amazing. The way the episodes leave you on the edge of your seat is such an awesome feeling, definitely reminds me of 24.

The whole season is incredible and doesn't have a single bad episode. The intricate plot points and the design to the escape are works of pure genius. I really love this show and cannot wait til Monday when season 2 starts.

All of the promos for season 2 have made it look just as fast-paced and edge-of-your-seat as the first season was. I think the whle dynamic of them being on the fun, fugitive style, will be very refreshing, different, and fun as hell. I don't know if it can top the first season. There is just something about breaking of a prison and how involved the escape was, it'll be very hard to beat that.

Either way, Monday season 2 starts and I couldn't be any happier.

I've been looking at the schedule for the Fall and trying to determine what shows I'll be watching on what nights.

I'm building myself a new media center computer that will have a 500gb hard drive (atleast), so I'll have plenty of space to record all of my shows. The media center works just like TiVo or any other DVR. It's a computer that hooks up to your tv and controls your cable. With it, I can record two shows at once, or record one while watching another. Pretty sweet stuff. 500gb is a lot of space and I should be able to record a TON of television.

Here's what my projected fall schedule looks like for each night of the week:

    Monday:
    8:00 - Prison Break
    9:00 - 24
              Heroes
10:00 - Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

    Tuesday:
    8:00 - NCIS
              Friday Night Lights
    9:00 - The Unit
              Standoff
    10:00 - Nip/Tuck

    Wednesday:
    8:30 - 30 Rock
    9:00 - One Tree Hill
               Lost
Justice (prob wont watch unless Lost continues to suck)
    10:00 - Kidnapped
                The Nine
                South Park
The 10 o'clock slot is a tough call, 3 shows, can only record 2. I don't know what I'll do with this one. Kidnapped and the Nine are new shows that both look very very good. However, South Park is consistently hilarious.

    Thursday:
8:00 - My Name Is Earl
    8:30 - The Office
9:00 - The OC (maybe, not quite sold on it tho)
    10:00 - Six Degrees

    Friday:
    9:00 - Las Vegas
    10:00 - Numb3rs
              - Monk (second half in winter)

    Saturday:
Who watches TV on Saturday nights? Is there even anything on? No.

    Sunday:
    7:00 - Everybody Hates Chris
    8:00 - The Simpsons
    9:00 - Family Guy
    9:30 - War at Home

It seems really weird to make this list and not see shows like Alias or That 70s Show on it. I miss those shows, it'll be weird not having new episodes every week.

I really hope that the new shows I get into this year will fare better than the shows I got into last year. I loved Kitchen Confidential, Love Monkey, Heist, The Unit and Prison Break. Only Prison Break and The Unit survived past 5 episodes. Not a good percentage. All of them were great shows though. However, the two best survived.

This season there are a bunch of new shows on the list. We have Standoff, Heroes, Kidnapped, Justice, Studio 60, 30 Rock, Six Degrees, The Nine, and Friday Night Lights. Even more shows than last year, which means even more of them will probably get cancelled.

Which means I really hate TV networks.

One Tree Hill is such a good show. I've already seen all 3 seasons, but lately I've been rewatching different episodes. I forgot how consistently good the first and second season were. I've been rewatching the third season too and it was also quite spectacular.

There is just something about the show that makes it different. It isn't your average teen, high-school drama. It is much smarter than that. The plotlines are realistic and deal with things all kids go through. This makes it very, very relatable.

The thing that One Tree Hill does best is make you care about the characters. Even if you don't like a character, you still care what happens to them. This is the thing that makes me keep tuning in every week: the need to know what happens next.

I started to like the show because of Sophia Bush/Brooke Davis, hot actress and a great character. I also connected with Lucas, as I share many of the same qualities and morals as him (except I never wouldve been interested in Peyton, definitely would love to be with Brooke).

There isn't any characters that I hate on the show, which I think is a good thing. Sure, I don't like how Dan acts, but I think his behavior is good for the tone and direction of the show. Sure, I get really annoyed with Peyton most of the time, but besides the played out love triangle, I still like her.

For these reasons, I find myself watching random episodes when I'm bored and waiting to go out. Last night I rewatched the season 3 finale and with almost a month and a half until season 4, I cannot wait. I forgot how many little (and big) cliffhangers they left open. With lives hanging in the balance, unknown pregnancies, friendships coming to an end, and murderer written on a wall in blood, One Tree Hill is sure to keep packing on the drama in season 4.

    I know I can't wait until September 27th.

I was reading a bunch of articles today about the next season of 24. In one article, one of the producers said that next season will start around 18months-2years after season 5.

I really like this idea for a couple of reasons. If Season 6 picked up immediately where season 5 left off, it would kill the realistic factor of the show. Season 6 would then create 48 straight hours of no sleep for most of the main characters. Not to mention that Jack Bauer had the living hell beat out of him by the Chinese. How is he going to run around and save the world (or himself) immediately after that beating.

Also, that would make two "worst day ever" scenarios happening on back to back days. That is extremely unrealistic. Terrorist attacks happening back to back? Come on. And yes, they could make next season have nothing to do with terrorists but I have a feeling that would get very boring and have to dragged along to fill a 24 hour day.

    What do you think??

I have a great summer job where I do a good amount of work that is never hard and enjoy the people I work with. I am also left alone and basically have the freedom to surf the internet whenever possible. I love this job.

However, it has made me scared to join the real world. I am not looking forward to the day I graduate college and have to get a fulltime job. My days of hanging out with friends, watching entirely too much television, and partying til the sun comes up will be over. That is a scary thought.

My life as it stands now is great. I have awesome friends and when I'm at school I have a blast doing basically nothing all day but having fun. This will quickly change once I graduate and I am terrified.

    Haha.

Finally got to see Clerks II last night and I loved it. I could write a thousand words about this movie but I would spoil all of it. The writing is so clever, I'm proud to see Kevin Smith back doing what he does best.

The overall plot is a very good idea and made any doubts I had of why they were making a sequel wash away within the first five minutes. The characters do have a good story to tell and this movie is suprisingly heartwarming....once you get past all the dick and fart jokes (oh yea and donkey shows).

I loved this movie and cannot wait to see it again. Best of all will be when the DVD comes out. There are two things that Mr. Kevin Smith is notoriously good at:
    1. Dick and fart jokes.

    2. Putting out DVD's that are ultra packed with tons of features and goodies that make it actually worth the price.

This is a new feature in my blog. I will put up profiles of different UFC and MMA(mixed martial arts) fighters. MMA is quickly getting more popular and gaining steam. Today's profile is of the best 205-pound fighter in the world, the UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion, Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell.

      UFC Champ: Chuck Liddell

Chuck Liddell's first MMA fight was at UFC 17. He faced off against Noe Hernandez and came away with the win via a decision. He would soon lose a tough fought battle to Jeremy Horn at UFC 19. Horn caught Liddell in a chokehold towards the end of the round. Liddell, trying to wait until time ran out, passed out seconds before the round ended and the fight was called. After beating Paul Jones and Jeff Monson at UFC 22 and 29, respectively, Chuck's period of dominance in the UFC began.

At UFC 31, Chuck delivered a vicious knockout victory of Kevin Randleman, a former UFC heavyweight champ. He would also get a knockout against Guy Mezger while fighting in Japan at a PRIDE pay-per-view. 3 successive decisions against Marilo Bustamante, Amar Suloev, and Vitor Belfort and a devastating knockout of Renato Sobral, put The Iceman in line for a Light-Heavyweight title shot against Tito Ortiz. However, Ortiz ducked the fight and avoided Liddell for over 2 years.

Ortiz got into a contract squabble with the UFC and did not fight, he was stripped of his title. Chuck and Randy Couture, a former UFC heavyweight champion, would face each other for the vacant light-heavyweight title. Couture's superior ground skills and wrestling ability and his suprising ability to stand with Liddell, caught many by surpise. Couture was victorious and beat Liddell to become the new LHW champion.

Chuck then went over to Japan to fight in a Pride grand prix tournament as the UFC representative. He got an impressive win over Allistair Overeem before suffering the worst defeat of his career at the hands of Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. However, Chuck would return to the States and get one of the things he wanted most: a shot a Tito Ortiz.

Chuck and Tito finally faced off at UFC 47. Lots of badmouthing had been talked between the two, mostly from Ortiz who has a history of talking too much. Liddell finally shut Ortiz's mouth when he gained a second round knockout. After a brutal combination of 10-15 punches in a matter of seconds, Ortiz dropped to the ground and The Iceman won the battle.

With one settle scored, Liddell now had his eye set on getting a rematch with Randy Couture and getting another shot at the LHW title he craved. After getting a brutal knockout against Vernon White at UFC 49, it was announced that Liddell would get his rematch.

Liddell and Couture were picked as the first two coaches on the reality tv series The Ultimate Fighter. After the show concluded, the two coaches would face off for the LHW title at UFC 52. Liddell's coaching ability proved promising as two of his students won both of the fighter contracts (Diego Sanchez and Forrest Griffin). After sweeping the show, Liddell set his eyes on Couture and the title.

At UFC 52, in just 2 minutes and 6 seconds, Chuck Liddell delivered the first knockout of Randy Couture's long and illustrious career. The Iceman was finally the light-heavyweight champion.

Chuck would go on to avenge his first career loss when he defended his title against Jeremy Horn at UFC 54. Thus, the rubber match against Randy Couture was set for UFC 57.

Two of the greatest warriors the UFC has ever seen went toe-to-toe one more time to settle the score. Liddell earned the victory with another knockout over Couture and successfully defended his title. After the fight, Couture retired and Chuck would go on to defend his title against all comers.

Chuck's next fight is in August at UFC 62, against Renato "Babalu" Sobral. It is also announced that should he get by Sobral without injury, Liddell will face PRIDE 205-champ Wanderlei Silva in November.

After seeing Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and absolutely loving it, I decided to set out on an internet search for more movies that will be released in the next few months. I am keeping a list of them here, with links to their trailers, partially for myself so that I can remember all of them. But also, so that whoever reads this can find out about new movies that they may not have otherwise known of. Some of the movies are big blockbusters you'll already know, and some are smaller movies that look to be just as good.

    July:

You, Me and Dupree - July 14 - What looks to be the comedy of the summer. Stars Owen Wilson, Matt Dillon and Kate Hudson. Hopefully this movie will deliver on its expectations unlike The Break-Up.

Clerks II - July 21 - Sequel to the Kevin Smith indie-flick Clerks. I'm a huge Smith fan and I believe this will be one of the funniest (and dirtiest) comedies of the year. Definitely worth a watch. Click Here for the R-Rated Trailer

Miami Vice - July 28 - Big-screen adaptation of the hit 80's tv series. Starring Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell, Miami Vice looks to be a promising action movie about two undercover cops taking down a drug cartel in Miami.

    August:

The Groomsmen - August 4 - In one week's time Paulie (Ed Burns) will be married to his beautiful fiancée, Sue (Brittany Murphy). She's about to have a baby. As he bands together with his gang of lifelong pals from the same suburban New York neighborhood – his brother Jimbo (Donal Logue), Cousin Mike (Jay Mohr), Dez (Matthew Lillard) and T.C. (John Leguizamo) – Paulie can't help but get a nagging feeling that he's about to lose some vital part of who he is.

Snakes on a Plane - August 18 - Samuel L. Jackson movie about a terrorist attack involving snakes on a plane. This movie is probably going to be as bad as it sounds, and thats exactly why I'm going to see it.

The Illusionist - August 18 - Edward Norton stars in a film about a magician who falls in love with a woman of a much higher social status than him. The movie takes place in turn-of-the-century Vienna and also stars Jessica Biel and Paul Giamatti.

10th and Wolf - August 18 - A former street tough returns to his Philadelphia home after a stint in the military. Back on his home turf, he once again finds himself tangling with the mob boss who was instrumental in his going off to be a soldier. (This looks really really good)

Rescue Dawn - August 22 - Christian Bale stars in this true story of Dieter Dangler, a U.S. pilot in the Vietnam War. His plane is shot down and he is taken captive and held for over 6 months. This is the story of his escape.

Beerfest - August 25 - From the creaters of Super Troopers comes Beerfest. This is about a group of American drunks who stumble upon an underground European drinking olympics. After being beaten handily, the Americans return home to recruit and train for the next years' games.

Idlewild - August 25 - Set against the backdrop of a 1930s southern speakeasy, Idlewild explores the lives of Percival (Andre Benjamin), the club's shy piano player, and Rooster (Antwan Patton), the club's showy lead performer and manager. Idlewild synthesizes drama, music, cinema and style to bring the tale of struggling singers to life. Benjamin and Patton together for the rap group Outkast. The film also stars Terrence Howard, Ving Rhames, Patti Labelle, Macy Gray, Ben Vereen, Faizon Love and many others.

    September:

Crank - September 1 - Jason Statham stars in this action-packed thriller. Chev Chelios (Statham) is a hitman who has been poisoned in his sleep. If his heart-rate drops below a certain point he will die. He has one hour to find who is responsible for this, kill them all, and find the antidote. ( I cannot wait for this movie)

Trust The Man - September 1 - Not sure why I'm putting this one on the list. For some reason I just think it could be good.

Crossover - September 1 - Cool looking streetball movie. Looks fun.

Hollywoodland - September 8 - Adrien Brody and Ben Affleck are just a few names in this star-studded cast. Hollywoodland is based on the true story of the unsolved mystery of George Reeves' death. Reeves played Superman on the popular 50s television show. Did he commit suicide? Or was he murdered?

Jackass: Number 2 - September 22 - Do I really need to say anything else...look at the title.

Employee of the Month - September 29 - Dane Cook stars in this hilarious looking film about two guys (Cook and Dax Shephard) competing to win Employee of the Month to impress the new cashier (Jessica Simpson). Dane Cook is God!!!

    October:

Running with Scissors - October 11 - Directorial debut of Nip/Tuck creator, Ryan Murphy. Star-studded cast. Looks pretty good.

The Fountain - October 13 - The new Darren Aronofsky film starring Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz.

The Prestige - October 27 - Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman star in the story of rival magicians in turn-of-the-century London. Watch as they constantly try to out-perform, out-wit, and expose one another. I love period dramas, especially historic Europe. This film looks very promising.

    November:

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale - November 3 - The film follows the journey of Farmer (Jason Statham) from simple family man to heroic prince. Amidst a fantasy backdrop of war in the Kingdom of Ehb between the evil Gallian (Ray Liotta) and the ruling King Konreid (Burt Reynolds), Farmer sets out to find his kidnapped wife, Solana (Claire Forlani), and avenge the death of his son, who was killed by animal warriors called Krugs. Also stars Ron Perlman, LeeLee Sobieski and Matthew Lillard.

Casino Royale - November 11 - The next film in the James Bond series. Daniel Craig takes over as 007. I'm not expecting much more than the typical action film, however, it does look pretty good.

Factotum - November 18 - Matt Dillon plays a man who goes through many minimum wage jobs so that they wont interfere with his true pleasures in life: drinking, gambling and women and writing.

Deja Vu - November 22 - A new collaboration from Denzel Washington and Tony Scott(director). The story is takes place in the future where time travel is a useful tool. An FBI agent (Washington) is sent back in time to stop a terrorist attack on a ferry. Washinton falls in love with a woman who is going to be a passenger on the same ferry. He must not only stop the terrorist attack but save the woman he loves.

    December:

The Good Shephard - December 22 - From director Robert DeNiro and starring Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie. This is the story of Edward Wilson, one of the founding members of the CIA.

Rocky Balboa - December 22 - The former champ comes out of retirement one last time.

    Currently Without Release Dates:

Harsh Times - From the creator of Training Day and starring Christian Bale, Freddy Rodriguez and Eva Longoria comes this action packed film. Jim David (Bale) is an ex-Army Ranger who returns home seeking a job with the LAPD. When things go wrong, he starts to fall back into his former life of crime with his best friend (Rodriguez) and his girlfriend (Longoria). (Another movie I cannot wait for, watch the trailer, this looks awesome)

Dead Man's Chest finally comes out tomorrow and I couldn't be any happier. I think it is going to be by far the best movie of the summer. Atleast the most enjoyable.

I realized that I hadn't seen the first movie in a long time so I watched it last night. It is one of my favorite movies, it is so damn good. Thats when I realized that they just came out with a video game.

So I went to the store today and picked up Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow. I don't even care if this game is good or not, I know I am going to enjoy it simply because I will get to be Jack Sparrow.

Just like with 24:The Game, I didn't mind the game's problems because I was having so much fun being Jack Bauer, Pirates is likely to be the same way. I love fun games, and I expect this to be nothing short of an incredibly fun time.

Cannot wait to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
