Best Cast:
Mass Effect 3
Street Fighter X Tekken
The Walking Dead
Spec Ops: The Line
Far Cry 3
Runner-Up: Far Cry 3
Winner: The Walking DeadPretty much every character in this game was lovable and memorable, except for Travis, who thankfully didn't live long. (and that's not much of spoiler, he's only in the game for 2 minutes or less)
Best Story:
Mass Effect 3
The Walking Dead
Spec Ops: The Line
Assassin's Creed III
Far Cry 3

Most Depressing Game:
Mass Effect 3
The Walking Dead
Max Payne 3
Spec Ops: The Line
Dishonored
Runner-Up: The Walking Dead
Winner: Spec Ops: The LineWhile The Walking Dead and Mass Effect 3 both had tons of sad moments, all of those moments can't compare to just ONE scene in Spec Ops: The Line. So what is this scene? Well I went into cover, getting ready to shoot some enimies, but then they started talking, so like I do with every game I just waited for them to finish speaking just in case they provided some interesting dialoge. What did they provide? A normal Conversation. It hit me then, I was just killing normal people. I wasn't killing an evil terrorist organizatio or zombies, I was killing fellow human beigns, Husbands, sons, fathers. It's scenes like this that make Spec Ops: The Line a fantastic game, but also a depressing one.
Most addictive Game:
Soul Calibur V

Commander Shepard (Mass Effect 3)
Lee Everett (The Walking Dead)
Kenny (The Walking Dead)
Max Payne (Max Payne 3)
Corvo Attano (Dishonored)
Runner-Up: Commander Shepard
Winner: Max PayneWhat makes Max Payne such a great Hero to me is that he really doesn't care for any of the people he's protecting, but he still does his best to save them. And he doesn't do it for the money, he just does it because he's that great of a guy.
Best Villain:
The Illusive Man (Mass Effect 3)

Vaas (Far Cry 3)
Hoyt (Far Cry 3)

Winner: The Walking Dead
Biggest Surprise:
The Darkness II
The Walking Dead
Spec Ops: The Line
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Assassin's Creed III
Runner-Up: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Winner: Assassin's Creed IIITo be honest, I thought AC3 was going to be a rubbish game. It looked just like the past few ACs, the sea battles looked boring, the combat looked dull, but it actually did pretty well. Except for the combat, that was really bad.
Best Boss Fights:
Mass Effect 3
Dragon's Dogma
The Amazing Spider-Man
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Far Cry 3
Runner-Up: Far Cry 3
Winner: XCOM: Enemy Unknown

The Opening (Assassin's Creed III)
The fight of the Warrior (Far Cry 3)
Runner-Up: Kenny's Redemption (The Walking Dead)

Best Writing:
The Walking Dead

Assassin's Creed III
Far Cry 3

Best Multiplayer/Online Play:
Soulcalibur V
Mass Effect 3
Max Payne 3
Resident Evil 6
Hitman Absolution
Runner-Up: Resident Evil 6
Winner: Hitman AbsolutionA somewhat odd choice, I know. Usually when you think of Online Play, you either think of a Deathmacth like thing, co-op, or horde mode. Absolution is none of these. For those who don't know what the online play is like, basicly, you can place hits on anyone in the game, and then another player might take that contract and kill the characters you placed hits on.
Best Level Design:
Spec Ops: The Line
Dishonored
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Hitman Absolution
Far Cry 3
Runner-Up: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Winner: Dishonored
Best The Walking Dead Episode:
Episode 1
Episode 2
Episode 3
Episode 4
Episode 5
Runner-Up: Episode 5
Winner: Episode 2
Most disappointing Game:
Street Fighter X Tekken
Prototype 2
Borderlands 2
Resident Evil 6
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
Runner-Up: Resident Evil 6
Winner: Borderlands 2Borderlands 2 is just a copy and paste game. Well, actually not. Gearbox took out everythign funny in the first Borderlands, and replaced them with *sigh* Meme jokes.
Worst Character:
Patroklos (Soul Calibur V)
Pyrrha (Soul Calibur V)
James Vega (Mass Effect 3)
Travis (The Walking Dead)
Citra (Far Cry 3)
Runner-Up: Pyrrha
Winner: James Vega
Worst Game:
Syndicate
Street Fighter X Tekken
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
Borderlands 2Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Runner-Up: Street Fighter X Tekken
Winner: SyndicateBland co-op, horrible controls, ugly graphics and animation, horrid voice acting, and quite possibly the worst single player campaign ever. Syndicate is truly a representation of what EA is.
Most looked Forward too 2013 Game:
Watchdogs
Tomb Raider
Beyond: Two Souls
BioShock Infinite
Metro: Last Light
Runner-Up: Beyond: Two Souls
Winner: Tomb Raider
Game of the Year:
Soul Calibur V
Mass Effect 3
The Walking Dead
Max Payne 3
Spec Ops: The Line
Dishonored
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Assassin's Creed 3
Hitman Absolution
Far Cry 3
5th Place: Spec Ops: The LineAn emotion-stringing, well-written game. Spec Ops is an exceptional game.
4th Place: DishonoredIt controls great, has amazing level design, looks great, and is just plain fun to play. The only problem I had with it was it's ending.
3rd Place: The Walking DeadWith all the awards I've given it, I would assume that most of you thought I would give it the GotY award, but I can't, because it's more of an interactive experience than a game. But still, it's an amazing interactive experience. The Walking Dead raises the bar in storytelling, character development, choice making, and replay value.
Runner-Up: Far Cry 3You can get in a Jeep and run over pirates and Komodo Dragons. Enough said.
Game of the Year: XCOM: Enemy UnknownXCOM is a game I haven't seen in a loooooooooooooong time. It has no super strong emotional story, no characters that can grow on you, it doesn't look that great, and still it's one of the best games I've ever played. It really reminded me of how older games are, in the sense that you're just supposed to have fun, and I feel like that is the whole purpose of gaming.
Welp that's it for this year, so I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Flag Day!....er I mean Hallo-New Year. That's it.

Hey, just making a quick blog to inform you guys that I made a list of my top 50 video game characters on GiantBomb. Here's the link. I didn't put any descriptions in, so it should only take a minute for 2 to look through. Feedback (both negative and positive) is appreciative. On a side note, I might pick up RE6 next week and play it until Dishonored comes out.

Never thought I'd see this day come. anyways, it's time to wrap up the list, so I'll give a little bit of a brief description on why these games are amazing. Let's start.
10. Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Mario finally fighting Sonic, an epic story, and Final Smashes. These, are only a few of the things that make Super Smash Bros. Brawl great. (Others being great graphics, amazing cast of characters, great level design, one of the best soundtracks ever, etc.) Seriously, if you haven't played this game yet, go do so, now.
9. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

While it doesn't have my favorite version of Link, Wind Waker is easily the best Zelda game. Stellar soundtrack, an enjoyable story, neat cast of characters, and even those sometimes boring sailing parts, everything about Wind Waker is superb.
8. Sonic the Hedgehog 2

You take all the greatness that was in Sonic 1, put it in 2, and then add more awesome to it, and that's how you get Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
7. Team Fortress 2

HATS.
moving on.
On a serious note, everything about TF2 is just downright amazing. The Cartoonish graphics, the uniqe characters, the hats, the sound, hell even the story for it is good, and it's an online-only game. Plus it's free, get it now.
6. Mega Man 2

Outstanding level design, a memorable soundtrack, great robot masters (besides Wood Man), Mega Man 2 is a no-brainer for this list.
5. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Easily the second most emotional game ever. The Gameplay in MGS4 is extremely addictive,The AI is the best I've ever seen, the graphics are exceptional, and the characters are all loveable. But none of those are it's strong point. It's strong point is the Story, which is one of the most well-written, gripping, emotional, peices of art I've ever seen in any game.
4. Resident Evil 4

Addicting gameplay, great puzzles, amazing controls, a gripping story, great graphics, and a memorable cast of characters all make Resident Evil 4 one of the best games ever.
3. Mass Effect 2

WOAH DIDN'T SEE THIS ONE COMING. But seriously, Mass Effect 2 is just outstanding in every aspect. It controls well, has great graphics, an epic story, the best level in any game ever, an epic final boss, an amazing soundtrack, great customization, and one of the best casts of characters in Video Game ever.
2. Shining Force

Great cast of characters, a very well-written story, tons of action, amazing music, addictive gameplay, and a just right difficulty, Shining Force is just amazing in every way.
and the Best Game Ever is *drumroll* ................

Fo realz' everythang in dis game is gud. Da Shootin is ncie, the controls are tight, the graphics are almost as good as Call of Duty: World at War, and it haz pwniez i it.
Well thats all see you guiz later.
ok, here's the real best game ever:
1. Super Mario World

Everything in Super Mario World is just pitch-perfect. It looks nice, it controls well, it has a simple but great story, amazing level design, an exceptional soundtrack, and great final bosses. Easily the best game ever. Hands down.
Welp, that's the list. I'm thinking about doing a top 25/30 Video Game characters of all time list, so if you would be interested in it, please say so in the comments, I would like to know what you thought about this list and how wrong I was. See you guys in forums.

70. Pokemon Platinum

Not sure why, just really enjoyed this game more than most of the other Pokemans.
69. Mega Man 4

Honestly this was the last Mega Man that I loved. Pretty much like the first 3, although I liked it somewhat better than 3.
68. Epic Mickey

Oh Warren. Anyways, I thought Epic Mickey was really great. Besides the not-so great camera, it was really well done.
67. Resident Evil: Code Veronica

While it wasn't strong in controls, Code Veronica had tons of scares and a lot of memorable moments. Plus Claire is a playable character in the main story, that's always a sign that a game is good.
66. Resident Evil 2

Pretty much the same as Code Veronica, but better in a few ways. Plus Leon and Claire are playable character's in the main story, that's always a sign that a game is good.
65. Strong Bad's Cool Game 4 Attractive People

Homestar Runner is my favorite animation series, and Strong Bad is my favorite character, and I really just enjoyed this game as a whole.
64. Minecraft

It's pretty much Legos in 3D, what's not to love?
63. Pokemon Gold/Silver

Easily the best Pokemon game. Not really sure whatelse to say.
62. Dead Rising 2

Well Written story, Fun Survivor missions, Creative Psychopaths, and a lot of funneh moments. Oh, and a scare or two every now and then, but mostly just the funny parts.
61. Scribblenauts

Great Puzzle Game, and the only real limit is you imagination. Plus it has Ninja Shark.
Well I should post the next part soon, so see you then.

11Jun 12
I'll get back to my top 100 games of all-time list after this (hopefully). But anyways, I wanted to discuss 3 games that should be coming out this year.
First off, I'd like to talk about a Theory I have for the Resident Evil 6. We're supposedly getting a new character, Jake Muller, but is he really a new character? I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but to me he looks like a lot like Steve Burnside from Code Veronica. I mean Jake seems to have the same personality that Steve did. I guess it would kind of conflict with the fact that Jake is Wesker's son, but if you remember in RE:CV, Steve was taken by Wesker to prefer research on, or something like that. This would also explain why Jake's blood is going to be important to the story, since he was injected with the T-Veronica virus in Code Veronica. I also found it interesting that Jake is paired with Sherry Birkin, who also was a good friend of Claire's. So if my theory is correct about Jake being Steve, then there is also a good chance that Claire might be in RE6.
Now it's time to talk about Assassin's Creed 3. If you watched the E3 Trailer, you might of noticed that after Connor killed the British General guy, George Washington had a somewhat worried look on his face. Could this mean that Washington is going to be a Templar in AC3? I really think he might be, but that's just me.
Finally, I'd like to talk about a rumor for Grand Theft Auto 5. It is rumored that True Capitalist Radio might be one of the radio stations in GTA5. For those who don't know what True Capitalist Radio is, it is a show where a guy talks about political stuff, but then trolls call him up either insulting him or playing a remix/splice of him, and then fakes a rage. It is actually qite entertaining, and would fit in with the rest of the GTA universe. Here's an example of what the show is like. (Warning: Contains Strong Language)
Well, my next blog post should be continuing my top 100 games list, so see you then.:3 -
7Jun 12
While everyone else has been complaining about Microsoft's lack of games and no Zelda/Smash Bros. for WiiU, I've been actually enjoying E3, and I have decided to do an Awards-thingy this year. So here are they awards:
Best Action/Adventure Game:
Tomb Raider
Resident Evil 6
Far Cry 3
Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Runner-Up: Far Cry 3
Winner: Tomb Raider
I usually don't care for Tomb Raider, however this reboot looks amazing in pretty much every way.
Best Shooter:
Borderlands 2
Halo 4
Spec Ops: The Line
Metro Last Light
Runner-Up: Borderlands 2
Winner: Halo 4
I haven't cared for the past few Halos, but 4 is looking rather good.
Best Fighting Game:
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
Dead or Alive 5
Runner-Up: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
Winner: Injustice: Gods Among Us
Netherrealm studios is great at Fighting games, so Injustice should be well, great.
Best Platformer:
Scribblenauts Unlimited
Rayman Legends
Epic Mikey 2: The Power of Two
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Runner-Up: Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Winner: Rayman Legends
Platforming at it's best. Neat level design, beautiful artistic style, Legends should make the WiiU worth a buy.
Best Graphics:
Far Cry 3
Resident Evil 6
Watchdogs
Beyond
Runner-Up: Far Cry 3
Winner: Beyond
I never thought I'd see Heavy Rain's graphics surpassed, but just one trailer from Beyond, and I was blown away. I can't wait to see more from this game.
Most Original:
Watchdogs

Worst of Show:
Dead Space 3
New Super Mario Bros. U
Aliens: Colonial Marines
Lost Planet 3
Runner-Up: New Super Mario Bros. U

2Jun 12
Sorry I took a little long, I had to make an adjustment to the list.
80. The Indigo Prophecy

While it's not as good as Heavy Rain, The Indigo Prophecy ha s a strange, thrilling, and somehow enjoyable storyline.
79. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

While I'm not a fan of the latter CoD games, I really enjoyed Modern Warfare. It was a huge update to the series in many ways, if only we had known the next few would of been pretty much the same thing....
78. Sonic Generations

Sonic is finally back. The controls were great, it has an amazing soundtrack, voice acting is better than previous games, only thing keeping this game back is the final boss, otherwise, this is Sonic's Redemption. Speaking of Redemption...
77. Red Dead Redemption

Great Graphics, good soundtrack, fun online, and a thrilling open world make RDR a great game.
76.
PortalHow could you not love Portal? It was extremely funny, very original, had a great soundtrack, and a lot of fun puzzles.
75. Sonic the Hedgehog 3

Not as great as the first two, but still one of the better Sonic games. Totally worth a playthrough.
74. Tetris

It's a fun Puzzle game and has one of the catchiest theme songs ever, IMO.
73. Gun

Pretty much the same as RDR, although I liked Gun a bit better. Not really sure why.
72.Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs

Good controls, nice soundtrack, great level design, and just an overall fun game
71. Spider-Man

Spider-Man proves that a game doesn't need great graphics in order to be great. With plenty of Laugh-Out-Loud moments and addictive gameplay, Spider-Man is just a great game.
-
23May 12
90. Conker's Bad Fur Day

89. Super Smash Bros.

88. Super Mario Galaxy

87. Resident Evil Remake

86. Mario kart 7

85. Burnout 3 Takedown

84. Half-Life 2 Deathmatch

83. Counter-Strike Source

82. Day of Defeat Source

81. Donkey Kong

Also, I won't give out descriptions for the games until the top 50, or so, since they're more special.
-
22May 12
Yeah, I'm doing another list. Hopefully I won't forgot about this, and I can get this done pretty quickly.
100. Wii Sports

99. Soul Calibur V

98. Timesplitters: Future Perfect

97. Godzilla Unleashed

96. Timesplitters 2

95. Crash Bandicoot

94. Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus

93. Godzilla Domination

92. inFamous

91. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

I was going to give a description on why I liked each game, but I couldn't come up with anything for a few of them.
Anyways, go ahead and leave a comment below telling me how I'm right/wrong.
Hopefully 90-81 will be up tomorrow.
-
24Mar 12
Yeah, so I'm just going to list some games that I'm looking forward too.
10. Assassin's Creed 3

The Assassin's Creed Series needs redemption after Revelations, and AC3 might be the game. Or it might be another disappointment, but I'd rather see my first prediction come true.
9. Prototype 2
I'm actually kind excited for inFam-I mean Prototype 2. I don't think it'll be game of the year, but it should provide some fun.
8. Borderlands 2
So far it's looking great, not much else to say.
7. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Counter Strike: Source is a really good game, but Global Offensive is looking better in every way. Plus, it's going to be on the 360 and PS3 this time.
6. Epic Mickey 2: The Power of TwoI really hope that this is more epic than the original, and it just might be. I like that they're adding co-op to this game, I always feel like the first one should of had that.
5. Max Payne 3
Never played a Max Payne game before, but this one makes me want to. It's looking really great so far, not only in Graphics and Gameplay, but the story could be pretty good too.
4. Far Cry 3
Much like Max Payne, I've never played a Far Cry game before, but this one makes me want to. Everything is looking awesome, especially the story.
3. Bioshock Infinite
They put BioShock, in the sky.....GENIUS. Seriously, this looks epic, it may very well be the Game of the Year. The Gameplay looks solid, Graphics look wonderful, plus I like the idea of Infinite's1999 Mode. I just can't wait.
2. My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic
Nah I ain't joking, this is looking epic. Whether you're brony that wants to play as Fluttershy, or an non-brony that just wants to beat up ponies, I'm pretty sure everypony will love this game. Everything is looking great, the fighting mechanics, the music, the characters. Plus I think I heard it's gonna be free, so you have no excuse for not getting it.
and my most anticipated gameof 2012 is:
1. Resident Evil 6

Now this is what RE5 should of been like.Just one trailer has been shown, and I think it has the best chance of being This year's Game of the Year, everything is looking great, the graphics, the story, the gameplay, the voice acting, every thing.I can't wait to see this at E3.
Well that's all for now, see ya.
-
15Mar 12
The ending isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be, but for a series like Mass Effect, you would of expected a more epic ending, not just giving the player 3 choices that have the same outcome. Same goes for the final level, London. Unlike Mass Effect 2's awesome final level, I found London to be very bland, mostly because you just want to get backto the story, not fight 5 brutes. However I don't agree with these butthurt fans demanding a different ending, sure it was bad, but there really isn't any way you can change it. The ME fans are kinda acting like the bronies when they started complaining about Derpy (a character) talking. It's pointless and just going to cause more drama.
