The time has come that i have grown bored with this site, along with having to care for a four year old and a two year old. If you are a top contributor to my guides, don't be surprised if you discover that you are now an editor for it. I just don't have the time or the desire to put the time into this site that i used to. Life's too short.

Today was my son's fourth birthday. I can't believe he's four already. My little girl is almost two. Where did the time go? We are thinking about having another one, but I don't really want to deal with morning sickness again and that dang painful thing called childbirth. Speaking of four...I can't believe it's been over four months since my last blog. Spare time is rare when you have two little ones. I've also been doing a lot on facebook. I seem to be contributing less and less. I can't even tell you the last guide I acquired. Submitting has picked up for my guides. Although a lot is rejected because people will never learn that they can not copy and paste. A lot seem to be from a new user and I've tried to explain to him/her what they are doing wrong, but it doesn't seem to be working. What baffles me is that someone has accepted five of his submissions. If they are anything like the ones I am getting, they never bothered to check to see that they were copied and pasted summaries. Oh well. Nothing I can do about it. I've also tried telling this user that they can not copy and paste summaries from other sites and use that as their review. It doesn't work that way. I'm not sure that tv.com lifting the ban on level one submitters was such a good thing after all.

We are going to be moving in a few weeks to a new house. It has both a huge pool in the backyard and a lake a block down. I doubt I will be on that much anymore. I am thinking of retiring from a lot of my guides. I think to date I've retired from over two hundred of them so far. I have no desire to gain any more.

I can't believe that in less a weeks time that we have lost Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and now Billy Mays. I really liked Billy Mays' new show Pitchman. I am relieved that Farrah finally passed on to a better and pain-free place. She was suffering for so long. Michael was a shocker! I still can't believe that one. I think there is more to the story than anyone knows. Something fishy is going on. Ed was just old and in a bad place. The last years of someone's life should not be filled with as much drama as his was. What a week! Hopefully next week will be better.

The mystery of what my daughter ate has been solved. She passed it around 11 am. It appears to be the top to like a clicky pen. That is just my guess as to what it is. Something definitely screws into it. No damage done and I'm saving the piece and x-rays to show all her boyfriends when she gets older. Wonder what she will swallow next!

So last night my son came up to my husband and told him that our 17 month old daughter swallowed a battery. What? How on earth would she have done that? So after calling around and realizing there was no way for a baby to swallow a AA battery, we decided to wait and see. I was talking to my sister this morning and she told me to take her right away, just to know for sure. Poison control said the same thing. So off to the ER we went at 10 am this morning. Have you ever been to the ER with two young kids. Lots of fun. So they took an x-ray and said there was no battery, but what looked like a button or something. They ordered more x-rays and the doctor called me out of the room. He took me to the computer to ask me if maybe I knew what it was that she swallowed. I expected to know right away, but I had no clue. So here I am all puzzled, knowing that my daughter has something in her body, but no idea what. I won't know until she passed is. The doc said it's already made it's way through her intestines and now it's in the colon. So now we wait and see. Can you tell from the pic what it is?

Apparently sometime on Thursday I must have downloaded something, which i think was an add on to play a game, that totally blocked me from signing in to any website, including tv.com. I was clueless as to what happened. I would try to sign on to here and it would go right back to the homepage and still say "login" instead of my username. I had a similiar problem at my sister's house, but not here. So finally after doing multiple virus scans, trying to sign onto a cached version of this site, and research on what it could be, I decided to do a complete system restore. Guess what? It worked! Now if I could only figure out how to sign onto my banking website, I'd be all good.

Ahhh, it's Dancing With The Stars time again. The new cast is revealed tomorrow. I absolutely hate the first couple of episodes of the show because having to add all the cast takes forever. They need to find an easier way to do the cast additions like checking a box to add multiple existing stars instead of adding them one at a time. I'm thankful that last season I got a lot of help from one user in adding all the cast and notes to the episodes. I'd thought of making them a TU, but I don't really like using that feature. Anyway, we are off to see Disney On Ice. My son is so excited because Lightning McQueen will be there this year. Have a good day.

First off, Happy New year to everyone. Things have been a little busy here. Ya know how it is with little ones and Christmas. Where in the heck am I supposed to put all the new toys they just got now? They decided to put a new porch on the back of my building like 4 days before Christmas. They promised us it would take only about a week. It's still not even close to being done. I can't stand the noise anymore. Who builds a new porch in the middle of winter anyway?!?

Things here at tv.com world have been slow. Not much submitting going on on my end, just general upkeep of my guides. I wish people would understand that hey thanks for taking the time to submit new episodes, but if you don't provide me a link, like it states in the guidelines, I can't accept them. My wacky submitter seems to have found another guide to mess with for the time being. This user will go through and add the stupidest items to trivia...like this is the first appearance of so and so. Well duh it is the first episode of the series and kind of a given. Rejected. Then s/he goes through all the song listings for each show and adds a song or deletes one with a simple comment of "that's better". What's better? The fact that they go through every episode and change or add a song? S/he can't tell me where they are getting the info stating that something that has been listed on here for years is incorrect and not just one, but a lot of them. Rejected. I can see maybe and episode or two, but not almost all of them. Then he started submitting under a different username thinking maybe I would accept it then. Rejected. Just give me a source for once! Dancing With The Stars is getting ready to heat back up again. I'm thankful that last season I had one user in particular that helped out a lot with the dancing and scores info when I couldn't get to it right away. I'd thought of making him/her a TU but I've been burned before on that.

And now for the best part...since the new version of tv.com was launched and the blogs being tracked were cut down to four, I paid less attention to them. So I decided today to go to a few blogs a used to read and check them out. Low and behold, the worst liar and fake on here is at it again. Now after less that four or five months after losing her pretend baby, now she is adopting a newborn that was born on Christmas Eve. Come on now! People aren't that dumb! You can't just make it all the way through the adoption screening and adopting a newborn none the less in less than six months. People have been waiting for years to adopt a newborn and here she magically is adopting one right away. She really needs to think about the people she is insulting with her lies. Like people who have really had miscarriages, like myself and people who have really been waiting to adopt a baby. Well I guess I could see it coming, especially from someone who knew the sex of her baby from an ultrasound couldn't possible be able to detect it at such a young fetal age. Watch, she going to get her make believe baby and in two months or so she going to say she's pregnant again and all the drama that will cause. But people still choose to believe her, just like they believed Bush would be a great president. Jokes on you!

It's been a rough month for TV. The number of cancelled shows for this season has gone from two in October to now fifteen by the end of November. A number of these shows I happen to edit here on tvdotcom land.

    Cancelled shows:

ABC: Boston Legal (set to end), Eli Stone, Dirty Sexy Money, Opportunity Knocks (saw that one coming), and Pushing Daisies

NBC: My Own Worst Enemy, Lipstick Jungle, Er (set to end) and soon to be Crusoe

CW: 4REAL, Easy Money, In Harm's Way, and Valentine

    CBS: The Ex-List

FOX: Do Not Disturb, and King of the Hill (set to end)

Sci-FI: Charlie Jade and Stargate Atlantis

FX: The Shield (set to end) and The Riches

A few of the shows were in their second season, but most were in their freshman year. The shows in purple are ones that I actually watch. I edit Crusoe, My Own Worst Enemy and The Ex-List. Shows that I think will soon be making the cancelled list are ABC's new reality show True Beauty, Rosie, Heroes, Hole in the Wall, 90210, Privileged, and any of the new reality shows.

Somehow I have collected more guides again. A lot of people retired and I became the automatic editor of them. So now I am going to weed through them again and retire from about 50 or more. I tried to appoint a TU for Friday Night Lights, but it won't give me the option of who I want eventhough they have more than 40 CPs. Elsewhere, I've been corresponding via PM with an unknown user who doesn't like the way one of my guides is formatted. The show is in it's seventh season and has been the same every season, but because it doesn't compare to a similar show on another network, mine is automatically wrong. Being as their are no official names for the episodes they are just numbered and I got my listing from an official source. It's confusing for her, but apparently not for anyone else. Oh well. I have no plans of changing it and if she really wanted to compare the two guides, maybe she should get on the other guide's editor for having spoilers in the summary.

I've seen the list of the top five things to chance and it all has to do with blogging and their friends, except the white background. How petty! How about the top five things being stuff that has to do with being a contributing member to tv.com like fixing cast subs and forum moderations. If you are worried about your blogging, go to myspace. It's obvious that this blackout was a whole joke. I mean seriously...the original person who started this mad because he can't see more blogs. How about fighting for issues that really matter?!?!? They are not miracle workers, but they are fixing things like the sex and b-day or users deleted, the pm box sees to be fixed, queues can now be moderated, people can blog and post messages in forums, UK users can now see the US version of the site, WYSIWYG is working, etc. We are getting regular updates and can make and moderate submissions. Isn't that what's important about this TV website, not the ONLY HERE CHATTING WITH YOUR FRIENDS website.

Fox has the honor of being the first network to already cancel a new show. The show is called "Do Not Disturb" starring Jerry O'Connell. I never watched it but saw previews. That makes show number two, in a row no doubt, that have been canceled for Jerry in his first season. The last one was "Carpoolers." I hate getting into new shows like "The Mentalist" and "Fringe" because I think they may be next.

About this whole new design of tv.com...get over it. You take the good with the bad. It has a few glitches but it's not like we've never dealt with glitches before. I'm fine with the design. I just wish I could moderate forums and the cast subs are slow. But deal with it. Don't plan to boycott a website that you don't own or run because you don't like how they've tried to improve on it. Get over it. Life is all about change. And for those of you reading this who are planning on boycotting or whatever, it's just a website that you voluntarily joined. Hey at least we are getting updates! Sorry if this offends anyone, but it's getting to be a bit much. All the boycotting will do is give the staff a chance to empty out the main queue and it will just leave you with more to add and moderate the next day.

My little girl is already 1!!! She turned one on August 31, 2008. It's sad to think that I barely remember her as a little baby. She grew so fast. She is just about ready to start walking on her own. Watch out when that happens. She is so different from her brother. For starters....she is a crier! Oh man is she. She loves to put everything in her mouth, especially dog food. Next thing you know, she is going to be off to college and then married. Where has the time gone??!?

A question now...I edit a show (Friday Night Lights) were the season will start to air first on a special direct tv channel in October and later on NBC in Febuary. So how do I work the episode list for the season? With Direct Tv's airdates or NBC's?

On another note, I know I've mentioned it before...but some people are so fake and just CRAVE attention. I mean some of the things they choose to lie about should be really thought about because they could hurt people's feelings. I know first had what it is like to have a miscarriage. I've had two. It is the worst possible thing to ever experience. Eventhough it happened like five years ago, the pain is still so fresh like it was yesterday. It's not something to joke about or lie about. It's obvious when you lie about it because when you are so far along when it happens, it's a lot more involved and requires a hospital stay. Go join an aol chat room if you crave that much attention.

So as I'm sure most of you have heard by now, Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes died within less than 48 hours of each other over this past weekend. But what I'm sure most of you don't know is that both Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes just finished filming a movie called Soul Men. It's a movie about two estranged soul legends who reunite at the Apollo Theater to honor their recently deceased band leader. Death is a big subject in the film. The entire plot of the movie revolves around the two men eulogizing the death of their friend with music. There was also another star in the movie...Samuel L. Jackson. So now two out of the three main stars has died in such a short time span..i wonder what Samuel is thinking. Is he next? It seems a little too ironic that two great legends who star in a new movie coming out November 14, just die so suddenly like that. I don't know how many people would want to see their new movie, knowing they both died. It's a sad loss, and even creepier to think the movie they shot was about death and here they die. Be very careful Samuel L. Jackson. Bad things seem to happen in threes.

After much debating, I finally decided to highlite my hair again. When my hubby met me, I was blonde and now I am back to my natural brunette (hence the user name) look. I stopped dying my hair when I got pregnant with my son and now it is finally all back to my natural color. My sister's friend who is a beautician said she would do it for cheap, so I said why not. It took the girl three hours to foil my hair, double the usual time it took anyone else. Then I had to rinse it all out myself leaning over a tub. My shirt got ruined. The girl left as soon as I was done washing it, probably because she knew I would be pissed when I saw the final result. I did NOT want to go as blonde as she made me. I almost cried. My hubby said it will fix it for me tomorrow by adding a toner. I had to take a shower as soon as I got home because I knew it wasn't all out of my hair and sure enough it wasn't. I think as long as I don't look in a mirror I'm fine. Otherwise I get the ghetto hood rat hair as my hubby calls it.

On the tv.com front, I have several submissions pending for a poorly maintained guide. Things are missing periods, formatting for tv shows and movies in every way possible and typos. Lets see if the editor approves them. I still am amazed and how people already have over a 100 cps or more for shows that haven't even premiered yet. It seems surely impossible because I tried to find info on some of these shows and have found nothing, so where did they get it?

Well it seems that others can forgive much easier than I can. Both my brother and my sister posted notes on my late father's funeral homes guestbook for him. I wanted to post one, but being as it states that the funeral homes reviews all messages before they are posted, there is no way they'd allow mine. My brother wants to go his grave. I have no desire. I guess I am the only one who can't forgive. He always treated me differently because I was the chubby little girl. If he could have only seen the woman I became, maybe he would have treated me like everyone else. Tomorrow my whole family is getting together and I can only wonder what will happen. Everyone suddenly wants to forgive everyone they were fighting with, which was brought on by my father's death. Let's see how long it will last, because it won't be long until my younger sister leaves my older one another nasty, and I mean nasty message on her answering machine about what kind of person she is. But, anyway, I can say for once in my life, I know where my father is.

I received a phone call this morning from my sister. I thought, ok why is she calling me now? She told me that she found out from my brother, that our father had died. At first I was filled with sadness, but then mixed emotions of sadness and anger. She told me that my brother's girlfriend googled his name and found his obituary. My brother is taking it hard and my mom kind of knew. So a little background on this is that my parents got divorced when I was two. I saw my father throughout my childhood and early teen years. We lived with him for a year when I was in second grade. He eventually remarried and had another daughter. After his divorce he moved away. He never called and we never saw him. I will always remember on my 16th birthday, he called. He made no mention of my birthday or anything to that matter. I was crushed. I grew to hate him, but as the joke always go, for the person who hated him the most, I was always the one who ended up answering phone whenever he did call. I still remember when I hurt my knee really bad and ended up in the ER, he called my mom when he got the bill and told me I was faking it and that my mom took us to the doctor every time we got the sniffles. I asked him if he wanted to see my xrays. I don't really recall talking to him after that. He called once when I was in my 20s to tell my mom he had a heart attack and was in the hospital. Was I know supposed to care? She used to information to turn over to the state who was looking for him for being a deadbeat dad. He went as far as to leave the country to evade paying child support. We had talked about him here and there and over Christmas by brother and sister both said they would go to his funeral. I was shocked and confused. Did they have the same father? Was this the same man? He died on March 21, 2008. I looked at his obit online and was like, well it would have been nice if they would have at least spelt my name correctly. A link was provided to the funeral home that buried him, along with his guestbook. So I looked at it. It had a recent picture of him, which got me a little sad, but that didn't last long once I started reading his guestbook. All of these people had such great wonderful things to say about him. How he was the life of the party, funny, an all around great guy. WHAT?!?!? Where did it mention that he abandoned his six kids total? Where did it mention that he never paid child support? Where was all of that? I am so tempted to post a message myself, but my mom asked me not to. So now I am left sitting with mixed emotion...should I be sad, should I be mad, should I just not care? He died not knowing he was a grandfather. But ya know what, he died without being a "father" himself. I get sad when I think that my son will never have a grandfather, but then I think about how my brother grew up without a father.

Just a little note I wanted to leave. There is someone on this site that drives me bonkers. S/he is so fake that half the time I want to leave comments in his/her blog, but I resist. But lately s/he is getting worse. I'd think if you were going to lie about something, that you might want to read up on it a little, before posting something that is medically impossible. It's funny though, because I knew the blogs were coming and laughed at the fact that what s/he claims isn't possible yet. I think my best bet is to just stop tracking this person's blogs so I won't read anymore of their bs.

On another note, I think everyone should take a refresher glance at the submission guidelines, being as they are always updated. I have been having to reject so many submissions lately from people who are level 30+, who should really know better. It makes me wonder if they are submitting the same stuff to other guides and it's being accepted their, even though the submission guidelines say it shouldn't.

It seems that at the worst possible time, my computer decides to act up on me. My computer started running slow, so I rebooted it. Upon it restarting, five Internet explorer windows opened up and my virus scan blocked some malicious file trying to open. After that it was just a meltdown. Nothing would load and then the blue screen of death appeared and wouldn't go away. I tried to reload my windows, but that only allowed me to have partial use of my computer. I couldn't anything to load again and kept getting weird error messages. The guy at Best Buy told me I could format my hard drive, but it would still have problems because of the blue screen messages. So I just decided to suck it up and buy a whole new hard drive. I had to buy one two years ago and let me tell you they were about thirty dollars cheaper back than. So I had my Friday night filled with reloading all my programs and service packs. Not only did I have the computer issues to worry about, but my son's third birthday was on Saturday and his b-day party was on Sunday so I had all that to prepare for. Just when I thought I would have some down time, the neighbor calls and wants to send her boys over for me to watch for like the umpteen time. And to top it off, the older one just told me held back his puck this morning by pushing it back down. Hey thanks for sending me over your sick kids that feel like throwing up. Much appreciated!

The drag racing community suffered a horrible loss yesterday afternoon during the last round of qualifying in Englishtown, New Jersey. Scott Kalitta, who is a two time Funny Car Champion, was making his last pass when his Nitro Funny Car blew up going over 300 mph and was unable to stop after he hit the sand pit and hit a concrete pole and guardrail. Most drag racers have never seen a crash like this before. If the shut down area of the track would have been longer, he might have made it out with injuries, instead of death. News of his death was not officially released by the NHRA or the Associated Press for about two hours and until after his father who was present at the time of the crash was able to call Scott's wife and let her know what happened. The NHRA has had a rough couple of years lately. Last year in March of 2007, Eric Medlen died after going into severe tire shake after a test run. In 2004, the NHRA lost Darell Russell when his Top Fuel dragster when out of control. I still remember watching it live on tv when it happened. Fortunately when John Force was in a horrible crashed last year when his car came apart leaving his legs exposed, he survived. What will the NHRA learn for this accident. With Eric Medlen's crash, John Force racing spend millions of dollars to learn how to better protect their drivers by adding more to the roll cage and adding more padding. With John Force's crash, they learned how to better reinforce the chassis so it wouldn't break apart by the seat.

The race will go on, but Scott will be in our hearts. Scott is survived by his wife, two sons, and father.

In case some of you haven't noticed, some really popular guides have recently lost their editors. Either people are more ruthless than ever when it comes to reporting MIA editors, or the staff is out trolling for the MIAs. I know I reported someone MIA twice over a two month time, and it seemed that the staff was only retiring them from a guide or two a month. From the looks of it though, there are at least 200 + people guides not potentially editorless, if there wasn't another contributor over 40 CPs and 50 + popular tv shows who just lost their editor. I gained one of them, but did a lot of work to get it by fixing the cast lists and rewriting the summaries that were copied and pasted. There is going to be one real ticked off editor when they return from vacation to find out that even though they posted in their blog and on the editor's special circumstances thread, that they were still retired from all their guides. That's one person who really deserves to be able to get them back, because he/she did everything they were supposed to when reporting that they will be away.

On another note, if you watch the news lately in the US you see a lot about the flooding in Iowa, Missouri and Illinois, but what they never mention is Wisconsin. The Fox river is so far over it's banks that several bridges and roads are impassable on major highways. Levees have been breaking all over. A huge man made lake in Wisconsin Dell, which drew huge crowds and events, is now gone. The dam didn't break, the lake just made it's own new path, leaving houses falling off their foundation and a lake completely gone. It's amazing to look at, but sad to think what's going to happen to the town now that one of it's man tourist attractions is now gone. The other day it took me 20 minutes to get around a detour of about 20 feet because I couldn't go over a bridge. It's nuts. Several counties have been declared disaster areas and are getting federal help now. I couldn't imagine. I did notice the other day that the house we use to live in, which was right next to a lake, now had water up to the door and most likely inside. Now with more rain coming (it's raining right now) who knows what will happen.

It seems like forever since my last blog. Well there has actually been a good reason. We have all been sick with one thing or another. Memorial day weekend I started having problems with my left eye. It was just so red and painful to touch. I ended up going to the urgent care and was referred to an ophthalmologist. I had something called irititis. My immune system was attacking the iris of my eye like a virus. So I was put on steroid drops, which I have to take every hour I am awake for a week. Yeah right! With two kids? So then on Friday morning as we were driving back from my mom's, my hubby noticed my daughter was burning up. We stopped and took her temp. Sure enough it was 104.5. I was alarmed, but the doctor wasn't. We thought, ok, she is finally teething. She was just miserable. I noticed on Sunday morning when I took her outside, that she was covered in red dots. The doc said she had rosiola (not really so surprising being as the neighbor kid had in a month ago). Finally on Sunday night after she would just start choking and not eating, we called her doctor back and he said bring her to the urgent care. After a miserable time for her there, they said she not only had rosiola, but she also had caxsackie (hand foot and mouth disease.) She wasn't eating because of the soars in her mouth. I was pissed. I didn't send them to daycare because I didn't want them to catch things like this. They gave her some tylenol with codeine and she was out. I picked my son up from the neighbors and commented on how he was warm. They both felt him and said it was because he was laying under the blanket. I took his temp when we got home, guess what...103.5. I made him as comfortable as possible for the night. The next morning he was throwing up all morning. I felt bad for him because he was laying in his bed drinking his milk and told me he spilt it, when he was really throwing it up. My hubby couldn't take it because of his "weak stomach." So the throwing up was now a new symptom. I called the doctor to get both of them in. She agreed with what the er doc said about my daughter, but said my son might have strep. Come on two kids have three different viruses? What are the odds. Well the strep test came back negative. Later he complained about his mouth hurting. He now has the hand foot and mouth disease as well. So now I have not only one sick and miserable child that won't eat, but two. And remember I am still supposed to be taking the eye drops every hour. That's not happening. We were worried about my daughter being dehydrated because she wasn't eating, but I think she is on the mend now. It has truly been miserable around here with two kids in so much pain. The odds of me catching it is very good because of the steroid drops I was on. But lets hope for the best.
