I heard Tiger Woods' wife will divorce him. That just sucks for tiger. Then again, he cheated on his wife aout 16 times. He won't even be in the PGA Tour. You know golf won't be fun without Tiger.

The band at my school everyone seems to love is Green Day. I wouldn't blame them. Some say their newer music (21st Century Breakdown) isn't as good as the older albums, but It's pretty good itself. I'm a fan of Green Day, and have been one since I first heard them in 2005. I heard Good Ridance (Time of your life) in the 90's, but Inever thought it was by them. I seem to talk about music a lot in my blogs, mainly because I'm in a band myself called The Fourth Degree Burns. Our new album is going to be released around sometime in late December or January of 2010. We're more than halfway done with our album. You can find us on Myspace.com and search fourth degree burns, but we haven't released any songs on there, and since this is our first album, we might not live to anyones expectations. Note: I live in Ohio, land of bad economy.

Just wanted to point that out.

Yeah, you can just go in and send a lot of hate messages to my brother. I'll say this to my brother; GOLDENEYE IS THE BEST SHOOTING GAME EVER!! He claims it gets boring (BS), but really there is nothing wrong with Goldeneye 007, although I CAN'T GET PAST THE FIRST DAMN LEVEL!!! I know how to, but it's nearly impossible for me. I wish there was some health bars for me! Oh well, the multiplayer is more forgiving (and fun).

I really don't know why he thinks it's boring, but when I ask him to play the game with me, he'd rather play NFL Blitz on the 64 (which is also a great game). Still, I always imagined Goldeneye 007 being SO MUCH BETTER!! It's on the best console ever made, it's got smooth responsive game-play, and its graphics are detailed (although muddy by today's standards). Yes, the graphics show their age, but the gameplay ages like honey and wine. It's so much fun to snipe your enemies and see your enemies creepy faces die because of a headshot. I hate the lack of checkpoints, but it's never boring to repeat the levels. It's just so addicting to kill your enemies over and over and over again.

My brother probably has head trauma, because Goldeneye 007 is one of the best games ever made. It's probably better than Halo 3, Doom, even Call Of Duty! Who knows, he could even hate Halo! My cousin hates Modern Warfare 2, but there's nothing wrong with it at all. There's also nothing wrong with Goldeneye 007, and I love my brother, but he doesn't have any taste. Note: Either Goldeneye 007's very hard, or I suck at First Person Shooters.

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bd/RarewareLogo.jpg

One of the greatest video game developers ever, Rare's golden age game from 1997-2001, when they created masterpieces on the Nintendo 64. These are the best of the best Rare had to offer. There's only one game per franchise, but spinoffs are allowed. Here we go!

    10. Battletoads

    File:Battletoads Coverart.png

This game's nearly impossible to play, but at least it's addictive! Considered the hardest game ever made, Battletoads is a fun TMNT knockoff letting you take control of powerful frogs that can headbutt, throw, and punch their enemies off the screen! It's addictive and non repetitive gameplay will bring you back for more punsishment.

    9. Jet Force Gemini

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1a/Jet_Force_Gemini_box.jpg

Jet Force Gemini is just like Metroid Prime; I thought it would suck, but the more I played it, the more I enjoyed it. Jet Force Gemini lets you shoot giant insects with a male, his twin sister, and a robodog. You can collect tons of guns and increase your health and gun capacity, and the adventure is pretty lengthy to boot. It's easy to shoot enemies but challenging enough for shooting fans and casual gamers to enjoy.

    8. Blast Corps

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/83/Blast_Corps_Coverart.png

What an original game! Blast Corps has you destroying buildings and trucks! When Nuclear missiles need to be cleared, it's up to you, a worker at the Blast Corps company, to save us from all hell unleashed! Blowing up buildings has never been more fun to do than this. It's been done before, but never this good! In addition, you can also unlock more levels and trucks. This game rocks!

    7. Conker's Bad Fur Day

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/99/Conkersbfdbox.jpg

Released in the consoles late life cycle, Conker's Bad Fur Day isn't a game on drugs. It's a game on beer! Conker, who you may remember from Diddy Kong Racing, has a hangover, and his girlfriend's been captured, so you have to save her! The game is best known for its voicing and graphics, which are both the best ever in a 64 game! The voicing is as much as a Playstation game has! Drinking beer gives you drunken powers, and its parodies of films and movies couldn't be better.

    6. Diddy Kong Racing

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a0/DKRboxart.jpg

Although similar to MK64, Diddy Kong Racing could be considered better. This is because of more characters, better graphics, and the ability to fight bosses! Featuring Banjo, Diddy, Conker, and more wacky characters, the amazing racing in Diddy Kong Racing is short of nothing in terms of fun smooth gameplay.

    5. Banjo Tooie

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/41/Banjo-Tooie_Coverart.png

Many consider this the best in the franchise, and it is. It's because it lets you keep all the mvoes from the first game, but gives you about 40 moves in total! The graphics are even more detailed and the levels are bigger and better, even without the Expansion Pak!!!! If you thought Banjo Kazooie was an A title, Banjo Tooie is an A+ title. Quality couldn't be any better for Banjo Tooie.

    4. Killer Instinct (Both Arcade and Snes)

    http://101videogames.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/killer_instinct_snes.jpg

Death by boobies? 3D graphics? Ultra combos? These are things you'll find in Killer Instinct, both the arcade and snes versions. You can smack your opponent about 30 times in a row for an ultra combo, making for huge high scores and awesome fun. You could even piss off your friend by launching him in the air and kicking his ass before he can even touch you! The killer soundtrack is the final touch on a masterpiece of a game.

    3. Perfect Dark

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/32/Perfect_dark_box.jpg

The spiritual successor to Goldeneye, Perfect Dark is the 6th best Nintendo 64 game ever. It features more of the guns, including visable reloading sequences. You can even play story mode with two players! The graphics are top notch, the futuristic soundtrack is without flaw, and the gameplay is high quality. This game ages like wine!

    2. Donkey Kong Country 2

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c3/DK_Country_2.jpg

One of my favorite platformers, DKC 2 improves on the first game with better graphics, non linear gameplay, more imaginative gameplay, more animals, more levels, better music, and more challenges. I always love how the last part of each level is the most difficult for some reason. Diddy and Dixie can team up to go on ledges, and bonus stages and items are hidden well, with tons of easter eggs to boot. Quality is DKC 2's middle name.

    We all know what's #1!

    1. Goldeneye 007

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/36/GoldenEye007box.jpg

The 4th best N64 game ever, this is also the best Rare game ever. Goldeneye 007 lets you snipe enemies with James Bond, and you can swoop through tons of levels that throw in to kill all the enemies in your way. The gameplay and graphics are cool, and the soundtrack is BA. But while the single player mode is great, the multiplayer mode is even better! Using a four player split screen deathmatch mode, Goldeneye 007 lets you use all of the guns in the game in multiplayer mode. The Golden gun rocks, the rocket launcher is beast, and the sniper just flat out takes the action. So basically, everyone needs to play Goldeneye 007. This is why it's the best Rare game ever made.

Thanks for watching. Next list is the top ten 3D Platformers.

It's what all you've been waiting for. Here's the #1 console of all time. This is the dominant console in my opinion. Hee we go!

By the way, we'll all be gaming even when we're 64.

    #1: Nintendo 64

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4a/N64.jpg

    Release: 1996

Sales: app 33 million units (App 21 million in America)

Notable Exclusives: Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64, Goldeneye 007, Mario Kart 64, Banjo Kazooie, Diddy Kong Racing, Blast Corps, Jet Force Gemini, F-Zero X, Mario Party, Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, Super Smash Bros, DK64, Banjo Tooie, Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Perfect Dark, Paper Mario, Conker's Bad Fur Day, etc.

Many of you guessed the 64 would be #1, and you were right! You're probably thinking "HOW COULD THE NINTENDO 64 BE BETTER THAN THE NES, SNES, PLAYSTATION, DREAMCAST, AND GENESIS?!" BECAUSE THIS IS MY LIST!! Also the percentage of awesome games on the 64 was even better than the Snes's. It had 364 games, but most of them were cl assics. The decision to the cartridge was risky in terms of sound and quantity, but quality was Nintendo's middle name, so it had the same addicting fun, only in 3D. The games were even better than the Playstations, and the only reason the PS sold more was because it had more games. The Nintendo 64 spawned the Nintendo's Mature side. Many games had nostalgic music, while others blasted in graphics. Vocing wasn't known on the 64, but games such as Star Fox 64 and Conker's Bad Fur Day proved otherwise. The Snes sold 333 million games with 1000 titles, but the 64 sold 277 million games with 364 GAMES!!! INCREDIBLE!! Many of my friends consider this best console ever made. I asked my friend if he'd rather play the 360 or 64. He said the 64. Case closed, the Nintendo 64 is the best console ever made. If you hate this console, you never played it. You can't hate this console at all, even you Microsoft and Sony fanboys. In conclusion, this si why the Nintendo 64 was and remains the best console ever.

Thanks for viewing. Next list is the top ten best Rare Ltd games ever!!

It's Super that Nintendo packs in a lot of Entertainment onto one System.

    #2: Super Nintendo Entertainment System

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/24/Super_Nintendo_Entertainment_System-USA.jpg

    Release: 1990

Sales: 49 Million units (app 23 million in America)

Notable Exclusives: Super Mario World, F-Zero, Link To The Past, Axelay, Super Mario Kart, Star Fox, Secret Of Mana, Donkey Kong Country trilogy, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Yoshi's Island, Mario Paint, Super Castlevania IV, etc.

Must I say more? Many consider this the best console ever. I believe it's the golden age of video games for its many impressive titles. But it's not the best. It is the best console from the MTV generation however. Containing some of the greatest technological features of any console ever, the Snes had a bunch of games use mode 7, a technique which had a rotating map creating the illusion of 3D. A FX chip enchanced 3D efefcts to look even better than a Jaguar game. It seemed doomed until DKC saved everything. Choosing game-play over graphics, The Snes still offered amazing graphics and orchestrated soundtracks (!!!!!!). The Stereo sound and crystal clear sound effects made it impossible on a 16 bit console, but the Super Nintendo somehow did it. It had slowdown issues early, but later became one of the best consoles to date. Play with Super Power! Oh yeah, and it featured a game with the scariest character in a video game ever!

    http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/earthbound/images/5/51/BossGiygas.png

    *craps pants*

    Giygas from Earthbound

But in conclusion, The Snes is an awesome console, and the 2nd best ever.

So what could be #1? It might be obvious that one console we all love will be #1 (hint, check out my reviews). If you do, you'll know the #1 video game console! Appears tomorrow!

This has a lot of greatness.

    #3: Nintendo Entertainment System

Release: 1983 in Japan, 1985 in America

    Sales: app 62 million

Notable Exclusives: All 3 Super Mario Bros. games, Legend Of Zelda (an II: The Adventure of Link), Metroid, Megaman 2, Castlevania trilogy (Although Simon's quest probably isn't as good), Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Batman, Battletoads, Kid Icarus, Tecmo Super Bowl, Duck Hunt, Contra (from arcade), etc.

After the Atari 2600 almost screwed up gaming, Nintendo made the Nes (Famicom in Japan), with 18 launch titles, one of them being the best Nes game ever, Super Mario Bros. Not only did SMB establish Mario as the king of video games, but it also virtually saved gaming, selling 40 million copies worldwide, being the best selling game ever until Wii Sports. Games you could actually complete were here first. This fine machine introduced many cl assics, such as Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Megaman, Contra, Castlevania, and Final Fantasy. It had a number of bad games such as Action 52, Deadly Towers, and The simpsons games, but it overshadowed them with masterpieces. My favorite shoot-em-up on the Nes is Sky Shark. Without the Nes, none of us would be gaming today. It has stood the test of time flawlessly, and any retro fan should pick this up.

    Just 2 more to go!

    Dear Gamespot fans

This top ten list of mine has a lot of controversal choices fanboys will not like, but that's why it's a good list. I appreciate your opinions, but don't be too harsh or offend anyone.

    From

    Blueguy93

PS: I like the number 2

    #4: Playstation 2

    Release: 2000

Sales: 138 million units (50 million in America)

Notable exclusives: God Of War, Rachet And Clank, Final Fantasy X, Gitaroo Man, Guitar Hero, Metal Gear Solid 3,Killzone, Gran Turismo III, etc.

When My old Gamecube broke in 2004 (I got a new one later), I bought the PS2. The best selling console ever, The PS2 lets you play its games online and lets you play Playstation one games thanks to its Backwards compatibility. The PS2 blew away the competition thanks to its great exclusives such as God Of War, Guitar Hero, Metal Gera Solid 3, Rachet and Clank, and Killzone. It also brought us sandbox violence in 3D with Grand Theft Auto III, and the series has stayed that way since. The loading times are even more unbearable than the Playstations, and you only have 2 controller ports (you have to buy a multitap), but if you can get past these problems, the PS2 offers many quality games for older audiences. Some say 2D consoles age betetr than 3D consoles. The PS2 gives you both 3D games and 2D games! And they're all perfected for your needs. It also had the eyetoy, which I didn't really care about. Please get a PS2, otherwise you'll have no idea why it's the best selling console ever made.

Most of the worlds religion is Christian, so lets read the Book of Genesis

    #5: Sega Genesis

    http://www.computercloset.org/SegaGenesis1.jpg

    Release: 1989

    Sales: 29 million

Notable Exclusives: The Sonic the Hedgehog games, Kid Chameleon, Shinobi III, Vectorman (and its sequel), Comix Zone, Ristar, Phantasy Star II, Shining Force, Streets Of Rage 2, etc.

It may not be the audio powerhouse, but damn the Genesis games played faster and smoother than their Snes counterparts, and sometimes better. In 1991, The Genesis took off thanks to the coolest video game character of the 90's. Sonic was his name, and speed was his game. The hedgehog who would later be a stiff outside Sega's consoles ran laps around the fat Mario. His games looked and sounded just as good, and played just as good. The Genesis had more gems, including Kid Chameleon, Shinobi III, Madden Sports titles, Streets Of Rage 2, Mortal Kombat, which almost paved the way for the toasting of the Snes, Vectorman, and Ristar. The game was superior to the Snes in sports titles and shooters, and the games lacked slowdown. Unfortunately the console was inferior in terms of graphics and sound compared to the Snes. Still, it provided many great looking games and awesome techno soundtracks. Blast processing may have been a lie, but The Genesis is old school and a better console than the Playstation in my opinion. Genesis does what Nintendon't. 2D games tend to age more than 3D games, and looking at the Genesis is a reason why.

    #4 coming soon!

  • 7Dec 09

Warning: This list can become too controversal. Viewer Discretion is advised, especially for Sony Fanboys. For those who play on the go, Play at a station

    #6: Playstation

    File:PlayStationConsole bkg-transparent.png

    Release: 1995

    Sales: 102 million units

Notable Exclusives: Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII, Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night, Crash Bandicoot, Gran Turismo, Tomb Raider, Spyro, Chrono Chross, etc.

You saw this coming. The original Playstation is the real deal. Introduced in 1995 to take on the Sega Saturn, the Playstation flat out destroyed Sega's dreams of making games such as Ristar a popular game on the Genesis. It also brought gaming into the mainstream audience, with titles such as FFVII influencing the 3D RPG genre and making RPG's more popular than before, Castlevania: Symphony Of the Night with its 2D game-play, and Gran Turismo with its racing simulation awesomeness. The Playstation looked towards more mature gamers, and it used a CD, which gave it more games than the N64 and better music, although the graphics on the 64 were much better. The Playstation is rediculious with its amount of awesome RPG's fighters, and multiplayer. This could've been the best console ever had it not been for its crappy loading times. Itr's rediculious. Basically, games are faster on the 64, and the 64 is The Sega Genesis of the 64-bit era, in that Playstation is the Snes of its era. We've all played the Playstation before, except for those who don't have the guts to. It has its flaws, but without the Playstation, some franchises wouldn't have become what they are today. You need to play a Playstation.

For those who wish to see their console on here, your dream shall cast.

    #7: Sega Dreamcast

    http://www.scottdecker.com/video_games/sega_dreamcast.jpg

    Relase: 1999

    Sales: app 11 million

Notable Exclusives: Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Samba De Amigo, Sega Bass Fishing, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Soul Calibur (only console version), Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (from arcade version), Virtua Tennis, Power Stone, Phantasy Star Online etc.

The lowest selling console on the list (somehow), the Sega Dreamcast was way ahead of its time with its online capabilities. An improvement over the Saturn in terms of graphics and sound, The Dreamcast also gave us the first 2 good 3D Sonic games ever made. Notrotious for its kick ass fighters, such as Power Stone, Soul Calibur and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, The Dreamcast was the best in terms of showing off fighters. Online games such as Phantasy Star Online were beasts with the online game-play, and sports games were very good on the console, such as Virtua Tennis. It also had better graphics than the arcade. Rayman 2 on the Dreamcast proved prettier and better to play on the Dreamcast than on any other console, even the kick ass 64 version! It may've not been the most successful console, and it was Seha's last breath of fresh air, but when there's a console as good as this, you have to wonder WHAT WAS THE PUBLIC THINKING WHEN THEY DIDN'T BUY THIS?!!!

Getting back on track with the console list, I assure you I will not mention the scary list ever again.

    TAILS DOLL! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Scared you didn't I?

    Anyways here's the next console(s)

#8: Both The Nintendo Gamecube and Game Boy Advance

Here's a toughy. I had to choose between the GBA and GC. Both have the word game in their titles, both were released in 2001, and both have a long line of gems! I made a decision, I chose both Why? BECAUSE THIS IS MY LIST I CAN DO WHATEVER THE HELL I WANT!!!

    Wikipedia GAMECUBE PAL.jpg

    Gamecube

    Release: 2001

Sales: 21 million units (app 13 million in America)

Notable exclusives: SSBM, SMS, Resident Evil 4 (well, for a while until Capcom released it on the PS2),Rouge Squadron 2, Wind Waker, Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door, Double Dash, Luigi's Mansion, Viewtiful Joe (for about a year), etc.

Yes it failed to outsell the Nintendo 64 and was far from the PS2's level (140 million units), and the Xbox sold more than it, but the Gamecube was a beast. It lacked online capabilities (actually, it had some), but made up for it with quality games. It's comfy analog controller and smooth controlling made it simple to learn and fun to use. It gave us cd quality music that was nostalgic. The graphics looked amazing, and the game-play was no less amazing. Games like RE4, Viewtiful Joe, and Rouge Squadron II showed the third party cpabilities for the GC. Although it lacked the genius of Rare (who only release one game, Star Fox Adventures, which in my opinion was a great game), you really can't deny that this was another great console by Nintendo.

    Game Boy Advance/SP

    File:Game Boy Advance SP.jpg

    Release: 2001

Sales: 81 million units (app 42 million in America)

Notable Exclusives: Mario Kart Super Circuit, Superstar Saga, Advance Wars, Wario Land 4, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero, LOZ: Minish Cap,etc.

Easily the best handheld ever made, the GBA included Snes St yle graphics and music, as well as addicting games. It had many ported Snes games on its console, making it a smash with old school gamers from the early to middle 90's. The GBASP further improved on it by putting in even brighter light in it. With awesome games such as Superstar Saga, Pokemon, and the SMA games, the GBA blew its "competition" in the dust. That is if there was any competition.

    #7 is coming soon!

  • 4Dec 09

I'm still doing the top ten video game consoles. Here we go, scary characters in games!! Prepare to crap pants!

    10. Boos (Paper Mario)

    http://www.lemmykoopa.com/lk19/2217.jpg

Who knew the 3rd best Nintendo 64 game would feature the scariest boos ever? Bootler comes and tells Mario to come to the mansion, but not before he screams loudly and threatens Mario. When you open a door at the mansion, another Boo pops up and a disturbing sound plays. These boos made me crap my pants!

    9. Tails Doll (Sonic R)

    http://api.ning.com/files/tftoJRFKbcSjNrBYJ31Lys5hlzf*SPlYoY8LaDi6poDw0pqo-Yf05wHkY3eyo4NCqQn0Zh8sMsQ*vSFBFVm9fVkqrv8C5D88/j.jpg

Look at him. Lying there on the floor. You don't want to stare at him, but you have to. He seems stuffed, but he's really alive, and HE'S GOT A CHAINSAW! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! He's not scary as a racer in Sonic R, but looking at a still picture of him is. Especially this one.

    8. Clanker (Banjo Kazooie)

    http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/clanker.jpg

A Great game for the Nintendo 64, Banjo Kazooie was considered better than SM64 by some. It also featured a metallic shark that haunted peoples nightmares. He actually just wanted clean air, and he's actually a good guy, but he doesn't look like it. He has blood stains on his left side, and he's attatched to a chain like a dog with rabies! It's a good thing he doesn't scream, otherwise He would've been a lot higher on this list.

    7. Eel (Super Mario 64)

    http://www.gameandplayer.net/images/inset/inset3_09_0213_friday13th.jpg

I hated Jolly Roger Bay. It was all because of the eel. The 2nd best Nintendo 64 game featured this. He guards a ship at first, and when I got close to him, I swam up to the shore as fast as I could because I thought he was going to attack me! He also resides in some kind of cave, and you need to get close to him and listen to him SCREASM AT YOU!! SWIM!! This haunts me so much that I'm just as scared of the eel today as I was back then.

    6. Baraka (Mortal Kombat II)

    http://fp.enter.net/~jkool/images/MK/mkwall/barakawallmkkool.jpg

I think Baraka's from MKII. Look at him! He's the ugliest human ever! The reason he's #6 and not #1 is because I only played him as a digitized character in the 2D Mortal Kombat games. This picture alone justifies its place on this list. His fatality move, which has the other player impaled in the chest and stuck on his razors for the end of the fight. That's scary S***!

    5. Redead (Ocarina Of Time)

    http://www.zeldawiki.org/images/c/c8/Redead_OoT.png

The best Nintendo 64 game ever made, OOT featured influential 3D adventures for everyones favortie green character. It also featured Redeads. Redeads are zombies that scream at you. When they scream, you are frozen and vulnerable to them. Then, redead starts to eat your flesh and devour you one by one! Thankfully as Adult link he won't freeze you. Still, as a kid, Link had a lot of scars on his face...

    4. Majora's Mask (Majora's Mask)

    http://www.kasuto.net/image/officialart/majora_mask.jpg

If you owned a mask that controlled someones face and caused the moon to destroy the world, you would be the Happy Mask salesman. A Great game, but darker than its predecessor, Majora's Mask's title enemy disturbed me. There's a cut-scene (if you run out of time) where the mask destroy Terminia, and you are knocked away. It reminds me of a certain WWII event that ended the war and devastated Japan, but I'll let you figure that out.

    3. Psycho Mantis (Metal Gear Solid)

    http://revistagames.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/psycho-mantis.jpg

Okay, Psycho Mantis is screwed up. He knows how much you saved the game, and he can control your controller "by my own will". He even makes the portaits of the developers laugh at you like Alvin and the Chipmunks! He forces you to put your controller down in order to progress the game, and listening to a video game is creepy enough. This is a great game, but it has a disturbing boss character.

    2. Jenova (Final Fantasy VII

    http://www.finalfantasyunion.com/cprofiles/img/jenova.jpg

Add disturbing music and a person that looks like something Satan crapped (well at least not in this picture above what I am now typing), and you have Jenova. FF VII was a cl assic game with many memorable moments, but Jenova's screeching made Cloud's ears bleed. She looks like a Chest with no head when you first see her, but later on she's not as creepy. Just be warned, you will crap your pants when you first see Jenova.

Here's #1. People who played Earthbound will know what's coming up next.

    1. Giygas (Earthbound)

    http://moonside.kontek.net/theinternet/Giygas.jpg

To say this is hell is an understatement. The 11th best Super Nintendo game was a parody of American culture and RPG's, but at the end, it looked like the game was on drugs. Giygas is the scariest video game character ever! Look at that picture! It looks liek it's screaming. You're telling me Earthbound was a kids game?! This was also based on the developers childhood when he accidentally saw the wrong movie at a theater, and he saw a graphic rape scene (or was it a murder scene?) This inspired him to create Giygas. Giygas was so powerful that he lost his human state and his mind! And note that the picture you are looking at IS A REAL PICTURE FROM THE GAME!!! The music further more scared me, and I probably wouldn't have gone in to dark rooms at night while thinking of this. His third form is a whole bunch of him. When he dies it looks like you're watching static on your TV as the malfunction of Giygas cuases a powerful explosion! I mean WHAT IS HE?! He resembled Mewtwo in the first game of the series, but in here he resembles something you'd see in a prank video. Foir example, some video tells you to find Waldo, and after a minute a Zombie pops up and screams! That scares me! Now imagine playing Earthbound and Giygas constantly popping up with a loud scream! I GOT RAPED THAT TIME!! Earthbound may be a great game, but Giygas will haunt your nightmares and will probably be the first thing you see if you go to hell (I don't think anyone on Gamespot is evil). Giygas is actually more terrifying than Satan himself! This is the scariest video game character ever.

The rest of the Top ten Video game console list is coming soon. And remember, Giygas will be in everyone of your dreams for the rest of your life!

Continuing the best consoles list, These are the ten best. Don't worry if your console isn't on here, there are plenty of good consoles, but these are the ten best in my opinion. The next picks could be controversal, and I might not be 100% correct about the facts. Here we go!

    9. Atari 2600

    http://library.thinkquest.org/06aug/01856/media/Atari2600wood4.jpg

    Release: 1977

    Sales: 30 Million Units

Notable Exclusives: Adventure, Pitfall, Yar's Revenge, Pitfall 2, Atlantis, Demon Attack, etc.

The first great console ever, The Atari 2600 may have had some of the most primitive graphics on a console, but its arcade port games and nostalgic sound effects gave it a warm welcome. The games were simple yet addicting to play, and this popularized the cartridge swap. It was so popular that it actually became the best selling christmas gift in 1979! Its simple to control joystick and one button gave you the power to become an arcade gamer at your house! However, Atari screwed up by release Pac-man 2600 and E.T., which caused the Video Game Crash Of 1983, and Nintendo had to save every video game developers butts with Super Mario Bros. in 1985. Still, before that era, The 2600 had many gems on it (as all the consoles that will be featured on here will), and it's hard to deny its cl assic 2D simple arcade game-play.

This could be My ultimate top ten list yet! That's why I'm doing 10 separate blog posts to honor the 10 consoles that defined it all. What consoles shall be raved the most and which console shall top the others? Lets find out. Today's console is a console probably all of us still currently have.

    10. Xbox 360

    http://news.cnet.com/i/ne/p/2005/Xbox360full_500x526.jpg

    Release: 2005

Sales: 31 Million (11 million in the United States)

Notable exclusives: Halo 3, Gears of War, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Dead Or Alive 4, Saints Row, etc.

In 2005, Microsoft rushed the release of the Xbox 360 to start off better against the upcoming PS3 and Wii. Even though it lead for a while, in 2007, the Wii somehow passed its sales and currently leads the market. The early launch seemed doomed to the start because so many people got Red rings of death due to overheating and the 90 day time limit for the 360's launch. However, people grew on this consoles thanks to tons of awesome games, the Xbox live arcade, and online play! Sniping people in Halo 3 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare doesn't get any better than it does on the 360. The 360 has more exclusives than its predecessor, and that's all we need to appreciate it. Microsoft announced the Xbox 720, the dumbest idea ever. I suggest that they stick with the 360. The amazing High definition graphics and sound provide bonuses for the quality games. 2009 was considered Microsofts biggest year yet, and it comes as no surprise thanks to the Xbox 360. If you don't have one, you need one to complete your life.

I don't know at all. All I can say is that Super Mario Galaxy, SSBB, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010, No More Heroes, Call Of Duty 4, World Of Goo, and Okaimi are a few examples of games that got a 9 or above from Gamespot on the Wii.

I believe Gamespot's smashing the wii! There hasn't been many 9 games, but there's been a hell of a lot 8 and 8.5 games. NSMB Wii could've been a 9, but I haven't played it yet. To find Wii reviews go to www.videogamecritic.net to see a bunch of grades that are A's given to many Wii games.

Finally, the 2nd episode in the miniseries is here. We'll discover the rise of Sega and the threat to Nintendo's power. We'll also talk about the growth of the Playstation and the fall of Nintendo in first place to Sony and the fall of Sega. Here we go!

In 1989, the Sega Genesis was instantly sucessful in North America, but had questionable success in Japan. It's graphics were better than the Nes's, which led to more people buying the Genesis. Nintendo released more successful games such as SMB 3 and Castlevania III, but their sales were falling.

While the Nes was losing its marketshare, Nintendo's Game Boy was an instant hit. Despite its monochrome screen, it had batteries that could last up tp 12 hours. Sega responded with the Game Gear in 1990, and although moderately successful, and it had colored graphics which made it superior looking to the Game boy, it suffered from batteries that only lasted 6 hours. It was also expensive and one of the biggest handhelds I've ever seen! It offered great games such as Sonic games, Ristar, Land of Illusion and Jurrassic Park, but paled in comparion to Tetris, SML, and Link on the Game boy.

In 1990, Nintendo announced the release of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Snes or Super Nintendo). Eagerly anticipated, this worried Sega, who needed a new mascot to cash in on their success even more. Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle was a critical and commercial faliure in comparison to their previous games, so Sega knew they had to act fast. In 1991, they released Sonic the Hedgehog, a game that took advantage of the Genesis's hardware and gave a sense of speed with tight controls and an excellent camera, as well as great platforming. The game was a critical and commercial smash, selling 4 million copies and influencing other clones and showed off what the Genesis had over Nintendo. Later that year, Nintendo released the Snes, with Super Mario World as its pack in title. Although it suffered in sales because of Sonic, it was more critically acclaimed than Sonic for its secrets and large levels and was later more successful, selling 20 million copies worldwide. It's widely considered one of Mario's best games, if not his best ever.

Unfortunately despite having superior graphics and sound over the Genesis and had larger games, early Snes games suffered from slowdowns when too many enemies were on the screen, notable in Super R-type and Gradius III. This left people to question the game-play on the Snes. But what really destroyed Nintendo's marketshare was the release of Sonic 2 on the Sega Genesis. The sequel to the first game, it was a huger success, selling 6 million copies worldwide, bringing Sega's marketshare up 50% to take a lead over Nintendo. Sega also released more successful games such as Kid Chameleon, Shinobi III, and the huge success, Streets of Rage 2. Notable for its techno music and expansion on levels from its predecessor, Streets of Rage 2 was widely considered one of the best beat'em-ups ever. Gunstar Heroes also followed in the success of shooting games for Sega. Nintendo struck back with Axelay, a huge hit with little to no slowdown, being considered one of the best in shooters. A Link to the Past was praised for its graphics and expansive game-play, becoming a key game for the Snes's success. F-Zero and Super Mario Kart made the Mode 7 technique popular and spawned many sequels.

The biggest threat to Nintendo from Sega was the port release of Mortal Kombat on the Genesis and Snes. Widely popular in the arcade, Mortal Kombat was cesnored by all degree by Nintendo in order to avoid complaints from parents. The blood was no where to be seen, but in the Genesis version, a simple and obvious blood code was used, and since the game had blood, it became a hit on the Genesis but a flop on the Snes. Video Game critics stated that the Snes was toast and Nintendo would go bankrupt. It seemed that Nintendo had no hope at all.

That was not the case for Nintendo, who simply continued to make quality games. In 1993, Sega released the Sega CD add-on for the Genesis. It boasted real full motion video and cut-scenes. However, it flopped and was labasted for its loading times and lack of quality games. Sonic CD and Snatcher were a few examples of good games on there. Nintendo released Star Fox in 1993, which gave in 3D looks with their chip add-on. It became a huge hit almost instantly, becoming of the best games on the Super Nintendo.

Atari tried to cash in on the divided success of Sega and Nintendo with the Jaguar and Lynx in 1993. The Jaguar claimed to have 64 bit graphics, but gamers weren't stupid. Because Atari released poor quality games on the 2600, the console flopped with its lack of good games. It has a cult following nowadays, but not as much as the other consoles did.

The CD add on was a huge mistake for Sega, and in 1994 Nintendo took advantage of this by releasing Donkey Kong Country. It featured pre-rendered 3D graphics, something no other console at the time had. Also with its game-play and intense marketing, DKC became a huge hit critically and commercially, selling 8 million copies worldwide, bringing Nintendo's lead over the market back. Super Metroid was also a huge success, praised for its game-play. Sega tried to cash in with the 32-x, but it only weakned their share even more. Nintendo had a huge lead over Sega in 1995, with more releases such as Chrono Trigger, Yoshi's Island, and DKC 2. Sega still had Vectorman, Ristar, and Comix Zone, all considered to be some of the best on the Genesis. Sega released The Saturn in 1995 to compete with the Playstation, but the Snes continued on throughout 1995 and 1996 with huge success, saving Nintendo the win in the 16-bit era. However, once in the 32-bit to 64-bit era, Nintendo discovered the lead over everyone wouldn't last.

    To be continued.

3rd age of Nostalgia coming soon!
