  Release Dates....a Promise or a Tease?

  This is a question i must pose. What is a release date? When is it a promise, and when is it a tease? We look at game releases today and we see big titles such as Gears of War 2, Warhammer, World of Warcraft - Lich King, etc. all games that were released as promised.

  What makes a supplier able to ensure the games are in stores on the proper dates? World of Warcrafts games, are all in stores ahead of time. THis is great for the gamers that expect it, such as myself. but what about those smaller titled games.

  For example, i have been waiting patiently for NPPL CHAMIONSHIP PAINTBALL 2009 for the Xbox 360. originally to be released on the 19th of november. on the 19th of Nov, it actually got pushed to the 25th. This is fine, i can wait. I have GoW2 to play. but now its December 4th, and no NPPL to be seen in Canada. I have litterally called major gaming stores through out the country to get this game shipped if required.

  WHat happened? wheres the updates? Gamespot, IGN, activision, etc all have not posted any update regarding the 360 versions....What happened? why am i being teased?

  this is not the first time, it wont be the last...but all i ask, is updates on push backs. especially if its been released on one system, but not the other.....

  Xbox 360 Elite - "and another one bites the dust"

  August.25.2008 - 5:45pm - My Xbox 360 bit the dust.

  I load Battlefield - Bad Company for the first time as i rented itfrom the local Blockbuster, it freezes when i join into a multiplayer game....odd, i think to myself. i reboot, and again, it freezes 20 seconds into a multiplayer game. I reboot.....3 RED LIGHTS....i weep, call friends, yell at the gods who are smiting me. I restart, it works. I watch a Movie on my HD DVD addon (i laugh at myself for that mistake), no problem. I load up Battlefield, it freezes about 3 minutes into the game. reboot, 3 red lights.

  today, i boot up, no rings but it freezes...so, 1-800-4my-xbox and i await my shipping papers.....a sad sad day.

  to make things worse, the Warhammer CLosed Beta servers are shutdown until Open Beta......i weep, i weep, i weep. XBL friends, i will see you in 2-3 weeks.

  Moderation Madness - The Story of the Forums

  Yes, it has been a long time since i had posted my Moderation Mishaps with the Gamespot Forums. I guess i have just been a good boy. Today, i was in a "heated discussion" at best about offensive gamertags. so, people were pretty much watching what they posted, and i apparently crossed the line. Doodyhole and telling people not to cry about things is a BIG NO-NO!!! i managed to suffer multiple warnings, a point loss and a level deduction all int he same post. The person i was talking with also managed to suffer the same deductions....neither one of us got out of control, so i found this one to be interesting...3 warnings on the same post.....Good Show!!!

  I have put together the Type of warning, and the message i placed to recieve that warning..

  WARNING:

  BikerPunk: "maybe some peoples moral standards are higher then yours....... oh burn. eat my doodyhole."

  WARNING:

  BikerPunk: "ummm...... azz instead of ass......people arent that stupid. There is always someone that has to "outwit" the moderating name program.....ooOoooo dont cry cause you got busted."

  Point Loss & Level Deduction:

  BinkerPunk: "AHH HA HA HA. you make me laugh. if you were really a 26 year old male, maybe you wouldnt be so upset about $16. dude, thats like 3-4 Starbucks Coffees. If youwere really 26 years old, you wouldnt be crying like a wee girl "boo hoo hoo they made me change my name.....wahhhh.....it cost me $8"......

  do you cry when the cops pulled you over for speeding?? OMG....those stupid cops gave me a ticket for speeding...last time i checked, speeding is also your fault....same application applies here. you know the rules, you broke them and you got caught.

  as for offensive names/etc. You clearly dont understand human rights, laws, etc. If someone comes up and calls your girlfriend/wife a few names, and you get defensive, just remember that your gf/wife is 20+ years old and if she gets upset about it, shes got problems, and is a child. "

  We were discussing how a kid reported a individual that had the word AZZ inthier recently changed gamertag, after getting thier rearend handed to them in CoD4. Kind of a, you want to spawncamp me, ill report you attitude. which is retarded in my books. I was saying that regardless of the situation, the word AZZ, is kinda of a breaking of rules, and that the person with this title had it coming to them.

  Regardless, in the end, we both got deductions, and finished our discusssions through the PM system. I think we came to terms with each others understandings and there was no hard feelings in the end of it all. I have said multiple things in a post, with a higher rudeness, and more insulting tone, and with the 15 horrid messages i had, i got one warning. I am curious what guidelines the moderators have in order to beat both myself and the individual i was speaking with multiple warnings for one discussion.

  Anwho, i am sure i will get more warnings, and i will ensure they get posted. just for the fun of it.
