  Phineas and Ferb Blog Update - 1/24/2009

  Today's blog will review the latest pisode, "Tip of the Day".

  First off........I cannot believe the creators of the show dedicated an episode of "Phineas and Ferb" to the end of a shoelace.......an "aglet". Seriously, I am utterly disappointed in the show and the creators for creating such a bad episode......I would have thought that the episode would be good, given all of the speculations in the days leading up to the episode.

  I mean, it did have some funny moments, which made you laugh, sometimes pretty hard, as well as some goofy moments here and there, which made you at least chuckle a little bit.

  As I write this blog post, I am watching the video on YouTube of the song "A-G-L-E-T" and just shake my head in disgust. Fellow Phineas and Ferb Forum member, Suiteferb said it best with regards to this episode and the propsects of the show: "What happened to Phineas and Ferb? Shoelaces? If it continues like this it won't have a third season".

  Here is some of the reactions to the episode from the TV.com Phineas and Ferb forum, which range from a disbelief to harsh criticism:

  "To me it sounds like they really are running out of ideas, I mean, aglets? Really, they can do a whole lot better and they aren't, it just doesn't sound like a super crazy thing to do in comparison with literally any other idea"

  "What the heck? I agree with Roy that they had to make an episode about......a tip of the shoelace? The epsidoe airs in one hours here in the eastern US, and I am not sure if I want to see an episode dedicated to.......aglets. They can do much better than an episode about a tip of a shoeleace. Seriously."

  ".....Aglets? They made an episode...about aglets?? Good Lord. I haven't seen it yet, which I was extremely upset about at first (It's the first new one I've missed since, like, July! *sob*) but now, I'm kinda scared too. "

  I do not know what else to say here. If I was to give a rating of the episode, especially after watching it twice, I would give it a 5/10, thanks to, as mentioned aleady, occasional funny and goofy moments, which made the episdoe somewhat more enjoyable. Overall though, I am disappointed in the creators of the show, and hope that whatever epsiodes air after "Tip of the Day" are better in quality, and go back to the original forumla, which made this show popular in the first place.

  Phineas and Ferb Blog - 1/18/2008 update

  I am pleased to report that the "Phineas and Ferb Fan Club" meeting for Saturday, January 17th, 2009 was successful. For those have no clue as to what this is about, we are basically a group of fans devoted to the show "Phineas and Ferb", and have discussion and participate in activities related to the Disney cartoon. In the latest meeting, we discussed the episode "At Last" (now knows as "Phineas and Ferb Gets Busted") in which Candace, the sister of the step-brothers Phineas and Ferb, bust her brothers and send them to reformatory school. This episode is definitely worth watching, when it airs in your neck of the woods. The next topic of discussion was with regards to the pairing of Jeremy and Candace, and it was unanimously agreed that this pairing is the best of all the pairings discussed so far at the meetings and on the Phineas and Ferb forums. Speculation also rules as to whether Candace and Jeremy would ever get together (i.e. date), but it was decided that such would ruin the plot of the show. Finally, there was a serious discussion about off-topic posts in the forums, in particularly with regards to the pinned fan club thread in which it was made clear that off-topic posts are not allowed there, and that the thread in question is to be used only for fan club discussions. The debate on this topic was vigorous, and all sides were heard, and after some grappling, a resolution was decided upon. Finally, the recent negative reviews of the show were discussed, and everyone agreed that some of the reviews were rather seemed more like bashing the show then giving a fair and honest review. This was in response to a thread created by one of the members on the forum with regards to this topic.

  All in all, it was a very productive meeting, and I hope that future meetings are as productive as the one that we had last night. I will update this blog as often as I can with more information, including any new information with regards to the show, including new episodes of "Phineas and Ferb".

  Phineas and Ferb Blog

  This blog is written for those who enjoy the show.......for those that do not like the show, I suggest you do not read further

  Unfortunately, my first blog post is in response to some of the rather bad reviews of the show........either they have no taste for good shows or they did not watch........the third reason could be that they are jealous or think THIER show is better (they must be fans of Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers.......yuck!). I say as long as the reviews are fair and honest and are not bashing the show, there is nothing wrong with the review, but if they reviews bashes the show without any good reasoning behind it.......eh........the review of that review may not turn out so good. You get my drift.......

  Anyways, I already did a good review for the show, as I am a huge fan. I will updat ethis blof as often as I can, so look for updates on the show or any important iformation about the show here. Until next time!
