Moon Child is a japanese movie released in 2003 and it was directed by Takahisa Zeze. This movie is set in the world of the near future, where an orphan and a vampire form a friendship that is put to test by a gang ravaging the city. Let's get into the story. In the year 2014, Japan suffers a major collapse in the economy and the people in Japan are forced to emigrate to nearby mainland China. In a fictional city of Mallepa, 3 orphens named Sho, Shinji and Toshi were robbing a gangster at one point. During the process of Shinji and Toshi looking over the money that the gangster had in his suitcase, Sho meets a vampire named Kei. The robber comes back to take back the suitcase that the orphens stole and he shot Shinji in the leg, causing him to carry a limp. Kei saves the orphens from the gangster and both Shinji and Sho found out that Kei is a vampire. Kei questions Sho as to why he wasn't scared of Kei, but Sho answered with a big grin.
The movie jumps from the year 2025, in which Sho is now a young man. While the three orphans still live on robberies and thefts, they have graduated to gun-wielding chaos that makes for dramatic fire fights. Kei is still with the 3 orphens and he serves as a mentor to Sho. Shinji has a limp and he is now a drug addict. Toshi works as a pizza delivery boy and he also helps Sho and Kei for their thievery. During a robbery one night, Sho, Kei and Toshi meets an enraged Taiwanese man named Son and Son is there to take revenge on the gang that Sho the company were trying to rob because they raped his sister, Yi-Che, who has refused to say a word since the incident. So, all 5 of those people have started an admirable friendship and along the way, Sho develops feelings for Yi-Che but however, Yi-Che's interests rest with Kei.
There is more in the story then what I explained. But I'm not going to explain the entire story because if I did, I would ruin and spoil the fun to you guys. But, here's how I feel about the story. The story is good, but it's not a story that I would've expected in this movie. This is the first problem I have with the movie. The story in this movie is not going to appeal vampire fans because the story does not involve vampires like other vampire movies like Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, Blade and those movies. It mostly centers on crime like many crime movies like The Godfather, The Untouchables and those types of movies. And it just kinda turned me off because it wasn't something that I would experience in this movie. Yeah, there are a couple of stuff on here that involves vampires. But for the most part, it's just basically about mafias and so forth. So, the story might not get vampire fans sucked in. But if you like mafia movies, then this movie is for you. But I will say the action scenes in this movie are fun to watched. This movie contains some of the best gun fights I've seen since The Matrix and Equilibrium.
Another thing I want to nit-pick before I move on to the characters is Why are there english-spoken news stations appearing on TV in Japan? There was one scene in the movie that showed this. Now, I don't know if Japan actually aires news stations or whatever that are in english in real life. But if they don't, then why the hell are these non-japanese programs doing on TV in Japan in this movie? I don't think japanese people don't understand english. But anyway, in terms of characters in this movie, the characters are alright. Sho, Shinji and Toshi are good characters. Son is alright. Yi-Che is fine and I have mixed reactions for Kei, for two things. First off, Why is Kei using guns to kill thugs instead of his own fangs most of the times? Whenever Kei gets involved in gun fights, I'm thinking Why can't Kei use his own vampiric abilities to finish off criminals that are shooting him and Sho. I think he is too scared to use his fangs to finish off enemies. I mean other characters like Bloodrayne, Selene of Underworld and others use might have used both their guns and their vampire abilities to finish off enemies. Now, there was only a couple of times that Kei used his vampire abilities to bite people and drain their blood. But for the most part, you mostly see him using guns.
And speaking of fangs, Kei does not have no fangs at all in this movie. This is the same problem as the movie, Twilight. Without fangs, that person isn't a vampire by no means whatsoever. I don't know why the staff of this movie didn't even put fangs on Kei. That is such a total letdown for me. But at least, he burns whenever he gets in the sunlight unlike in Twilight, where they shine like walking diamonds. I'm sorry, but that is not how vampires are when they get in contact by sunlight.
I can't say much on the settings or whatnot. But the settings in this movie do look pretty good. The acting in this movie is fine. 3 of the actors in this movie are musical artists. Sho is played by Gackt Camui, a member of the band, Malice Mizer.Son is played by Lee-Hom Wang and Kei is played Hideto "Hyde" Takarai of some rock band called L'Arc-en-Ciel. The one odd thing about the acting is that sometimes when the people that get's shots by guns, they don't do any shaken body movements, for a better way to describe it, the minute after the bullet hits their chest. But besides that, the acting is pretty good in this movie.
The music is good. One thing that kinda bothers me is that this movie mostly uses songs that are english rather then songs in Japanese. With the inclusion of having english spoken songs in a japanese movie, it makes this movie feels like it came from America rather then Japan. Granted, the theme song in this movie is sung in Japanese and it's performed by the two guys that played Sho and Kei. But besides that, the songs are mostly in english. I don't think Japan, in real life, would ever have english songs.
In the end, Moon Child is a good movie, but it's a disappointment in my opinion. It's one of those movies where it's going to be as what you expected. But the minute you watched it, it's going to be nothing like from what you wished to be. And that's how I felt about this movie. I thought it was going to be a kickass japanese movie that centers on vampire throughout the flim like Dracula. But it's a bit of letdown for me. But does that make Moon Child a bad movie? No, the story is still good and the action scenes are fun to watch. So, here's on how I would suggest this movie. If you like mafia movies like The Godfather, The Untouchables, Goodfellas, Scarface or whatever, then this movie is definitely for you. If you are the sort of person that is looking for a movie centering directly on Vampires, then this is not the movie you are looking for. You'd be better off watching Dracula, Interivew with the Vampire or any other Vampires movies out there that centers on Vampires more so then Moon Child.

Shadow of the Vampire is a movie that was released in 2000 starring John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe. This movie is a fictional version of the making of the classic 1922 vampire movie, Nosferatu. Now before I start with this review, I must say that I also watched the original 1922 movie on Youtube. The reason why I did that was because I want to compare the original Max Schreck to the Max Schreck in this movie. And that way, my review would be a little bit better.
As stated, the movie sets in 1922. German director Friedrich Wilheim Murnau, played by John Malkovich, and his crew on are set to travel to Czechoslovakia and Poland in order to the Nosferatu movie, which is an unauthorized version of Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula. Friedrich informs his crew the person that is going to play the role as Count Orlok, and that's a german theater performer named Max Schreck, played by Willem Dafoe.
But in order to involve himself fully in his character, he will appear only at night with the crew in full make-up and in full character. But later on the movie, we find out the Max is actually a real vampire and he has made a deal with Friedrich, so that Friedrich could his flim absolutely realistic. And if he does that, Max will have Greta Scroeder, played by Catherine McCormack, as his prize. That's basically the story of the movie and it's pretty good. You don't really see these types of stories in movies lately, where the story will take place at a true event. In this case, this movie is dealing with the behind of the scenes of the first ever vampire movie. But, they add something in the story that can make it fictional. I do like on how they make the story that way.
All the characters in this movie are good. They do have solid character development and it makes it feel like that's how they actually were in real life, for the exception of Max Schreck because they made him a real vampire in this movie. Max Schreck a.k.a. Count Orlok is easily the best character in this movie. I don't know if it's his character or whatnot. But there is something about him that just makes him the best character in this movie. However, there was one character, in particular, that I felt that didn't get a whole lot of character development and that's Fritz Arno Wagner, the cinematographer that is played by Cary Elwes. The reason why I felt that he didn't enough development was that he was introduced almost a few scenes before the end and then he dies around the end. I mean, you do get to learn a little about him. But more would have been nice.
The movie's main setting is an old castle in Czechoslovakia and it does look pretty good in this movie. It actually looks like it was from the actual Nosferatu movie. The makeup used on Willem Dafoe for his role as Count Orlok looks incredible. It looks just like how the real Nosferatu look like that the real Max Schreck played. In fact, the makeup received a nomination for Best Makeup in the oscars. One of my effects in this movie is when the movie will sometimes change from color to black and white, when you are viewing through the lenses of a camera. Not the only did the makeup received a nomination in the oscars, Willem Dafoe received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Dafoe is great for the doing the role of Max Schreck. He obviously looks like him, in many ways. I think Catherine McCormack is a great choice to play the role as Greta Schroeder. Eddie Lizard did a fine job for doing the role of Gustav von Wangenheim and John Malkovich is great has Friedrich. The music is good in this movie, but I felt that there wasn't enough of it.
Overall, Shadow of the Vampire is a superb movie. It definitely captures the feel of what made the first Vampire movie ever and seeing Willem Dafoe playing as Count Orok really makes this movie shine in many ways. If you love the 1922 movie or if you are a Vampire freak, then Shadow of the Vampire is the movie for you.

The Batman vs Dracula is an cartoon movie that was released in 2005. This movie is based on the Batman animated series that came out in 2004 and was aired on Kids WB. This movie has a much darker tone then the TV series because of the fact that there is blood and violence, this movie was mostly geared for teenagers, since the show was targeted for kids. The movie starts out at Arkham Asylum. We see one of the villians in the Batman universe, The Penguin, and he was told by one of the prisoners that a large amount of gold has been hidden in Gotham Cemetery, in a crypt behind a tombstone with a cross. However, that certain prisoner told this to the Joker first and because of that, the Joker escaped the Asylum, as well as the Penguin.
Penguin meets up with the Joker to make a deal for going to the graveyard as a team. But Joker refuses and shocks him with a hand buzzer. That's when Batman ,a.k.a. Bruce Wayne, comes in and he chases the Joker and tries to catch him so he can go back to prison. Meanwhile, Penguin has arrived at the cemetery and notices that there was a door behind one of the crypts. He breaks the door, enters a cave and sees what appears to be a coffen. While in the process of opening the coffin, Penguin accidentally cuts his hand and the blood that was from his hand drips to the corpse in the coffin and the corpse's heart starting beating and gains new flesh and organs. Penguin finds out the corpse is Count Dracula himself. Dracula hypnotizes Penguin into becoming a servant and he shows the Count that he is in now, so he can feed on the people of the city.
The story tends to get a little deeper later on, but I'm not going to spoil it. You're going to have to watch the movie yourself if you want to learn more of the movie's story. But what I can say is that the story is pretty good, for an animated flim that is set on the Dark Knight himself. There are a couple of problems I have with the movie. First of all, why did the batmobile drove on its own, after Batman got out of it to head to the cemetery to kill Dracula? I mean, the batmobile nevers done that in the live action movies or the animated cartoon seires back in the 90's. And I don't think Batman wouldn't even think about putting an autopilot on his car. Second of all, I've always wondered why is the movie called "The Batman and Dracula." I've never seen a Batman movie that has the word "The" in the beginning before Batman. Either call it "Batman and Dracula" or if you really want to keep "The" on the title, call it "The Dark Knight vs. Dracula".
Batman or Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Penguin and the Joker are the only characters in the Batman franchise that appear in this movie. Dracula is great in this movie and has always been in past Dracula movies. The new character that appears in this movie that is part of the 2004 Batman animated series is Vicki Vale. She is this news reporter who makes these reports about certain citizens of Gotham missing, who were apparently victims of Dracula. She is a good character.
The artstyle and animation looks great in this movie. I do have a couple of problems though. First of, I really don't like the design of the Joker, where they gave him long hair. It looks out of place and I'm more used to the classic design of the Joker in the mid 90's cartoon series. I also don't like the design of Gotham City all that much. I prefer the design in the 90's cartoon series then this, because this one looks like it came out of a comic book and it doesn't look too good that way. But overall, the animation and artstyle in this movie looks great. The characters look good and animated very well. The action scenes are executed rather well in this movie.
The voice acting for great, for the exception of the guy that plays the Joker and that's Kevin Michael Richardson. Kevin was known for a bunch of stuff. He was known as Goro in the first Mortal Kombat movie, Crunch Bandicoot in the Crash Bandicoot games, Tartarus in Halo 2 and Barney Rubble in the modern-day animated series and movies based upon The Flintstones. The reason why I don't think Kevin doesn't do a fine job for doing the role of the Joker is because the actor is black and it doesn't work and sound right for a character like the Joker. Bruce Wayne and Batman is voiced by Rino Romano, who was known as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the animated TV series, Spider-Man Unlimited and Tuxedo Mask in Sailor Moon and he does a fine job at voicing his character.
The best performances come from Peter Stormare, the man who played Lev the russian astronaut from Armageddon and the wood chipper guy from Fargo, plays Dracula and he is great for doing the role of everyone's favorite vampire lord. And the other best performance in this movie comes from Tara Strong, who plays Rikku in Final Fantasy X, Bubbles in Powerpuff Girls and Timmy Turner in Fairly OddParents, and she plays Vicki Vale in this movie and she is great. The music is great, like in most Batman movies live-action or animated.
Overall, The Batman vs. Dracula is a great Batman animated flim. It might not be as good as other animated Batman movies like Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero, but it's really neat to see everyone's favorite superhero representing a bat facing off everyone's favorite vampire lord. If you love Batman and if you Dracula, then this movie is worth a look.

Horror of Dracula was released in 1958 that was done by Hammer Flim Productions and was directed by Terence Fisher. This movie is the first movie by Hammer Flims that is inspired by Bram Stoker's classic novel. I will be reviewing other movies that are based on the novel. The reason why I'm doing this is because I want to compare some of the movies just by differences in the story telling, character portrayation and so forth. The story in this particular version of Dracula is told differently from the novel. It starts off with Jonathan Harker, played by John Van Eyssen, arriving at the castle of Count Dracula, posing as a librarian. He is actually a vampire hunter. He then meets a young woman who is begging for help, because she claims to be a prisoner from Count Dracula.
Jonathan then meets the count himself, played by Christopher Lee, and guides him to his room and locks him in. His true intentions were later revealed that he is here in the castle to kill Dracula. The woman appears again and she leans to him as if she was crying. But she tries to bite him and Dracula comes in and fights the lady. Jonathan woke up after being knocked out during the fight between Dracula and the lady and he discovers that he has been bitten. So, he fears that he will become a vampire himself. So, he descends to the coffin room, where Dracula and the lady were sleeping, took some stakes with him and he killed the lady first. As soon as he turns to the coffin that Dracula was sleeping after killing the lady, Dracula left the coffin and he was waiting at the door, and that's when Jonathan died.
Dr. Van Helsing, played by Peter Cushing, arrives to find Jonathan. But he was horrified when he discovers Jonathan lying in a coffin as a vampire. He told this news to 3 people: Jonathan's fiancee Lucy, her brother Arthur Holmwood and his wife Mina. I can't really explain more of the story because since this is based on a book and I told you more of it, I would've ended up ruining the entire story, even though most of you guys might know the whole story about Dracula at this point. If you haven't, then you are leaving under a rock!
In terms of character portrayation, all of the characters portrayed in the movie are just about remotely accurate to the book version. There are a few things on here that kinda ticked me off about some of the characters. First, I don't like on how they changed Jonathan from a lawyer to a vampire hunter. I think that should have stick to the original portrayation and that way, many people would have a big impact on this movie even more. I don't like on how they made Mina Arthur's wife and I also don't like on how they made Lucy the fiancee to Jonathan and Arthur's sister. I still wished that they could have followed exactly like in the book. But at least their portrayations are just about the same as how they were in the book.
There are other changes in this movie that weren't in the book. But I didn't get ticked by those. For example, Dracula only has one bride in this movie, while he had three in the novel. And he is destroyed by sunlight, whereas in the novel he is able to go outside during the day. That doesn't really bother all that much.
The settings in this movie look great, even for a movie relased in the late 50's. It does makes it feel like that's how the settings would look like when you read the novel and picturing it in your head. The costume on Dracula looks great and the same goes for the makeup. Peter Cushing does a remarkable job for playing the role of Abraham and Christopher Lee is awesome as Dracula. Carol Marsh does a good job for playing the role as Lucy, Melissa Stribling does a fine job for doing the role of Mina and Michael Gough does well for playing the role as Arthur Holmwood. The music is also pretty good in this movie.
In the end, Horror of Dracula is a great old school vampire movie that I think fans of Dracula will enjoy. Some people will get annoyed by some of the little changes in the aspects of the characters, but it's not something that hurts this movie majorily. If you love Dracula and you never seen this version, check out this movie. It definitely ranks up with the Dracula movie with Bela Lugosi and the Dracula movie with Gary Oldman as one of the best Dracula movies out there.

Dracula 2000 is a horror flim released in 2000 that was directed by Patrick Lussier. This movie is supposed to transfer the story of Dracula into the setting of a modern teen horror flim. The movie starts off in the year 1897, with Count Dracula's voyage to England on the ship Demeter and his arrival at London. 103 years later, a group of thieves have inflitrated an antique shop called the Carfax Abbey. They entered the antique shop because they were searching for a special kind of treasure that is hidden inside the shop. They found a sealed coffin in the process. Two of the thieves were killed from the traps that were set up the coffin and it lead to the thieves to believe that the coffin was the treasure they were looking for. It was revealed that the person inside the coffin was no other then Count Dracula. The Carfax Abbey is owned by Matthew ,or Abraham Van Helsing, and he has been using vampire's blood through leeches, so that he could find a way to destroy Dracula for good.
During the process where the thieves were on a plane flying back to the United States, one of the thieves manages to open the coffin. The count was released and it was feeding on all of the members and the plane crashed in the swamps of Louisiana. Dracula survived the crash and heads to New Orleans to search for Abraham's daughter, Mary. So, it's up to Abraham and his assistant, Simon, to head for the U.S and try to recapture the vampire.
The first problem I have with the plot is that even though this movie tries to take a different direction on Dracula's origin, but there's nothing there that none of us has never seen before. You're not going to see something new or innovative in the new direction of the story. You're basically going to see stuff that you haven't seen before. Another problem is the movie's atmosphere. Since this is teen horror flim, the movie takes away the gothness and the mood that was in the novel and the other movie version's of Dracula and it just makes it like your standard modern teen horror flim. And it doesn't really fit well at all in a movie that is centering on the ultimate vampire lord. And the last problem of the plot is that I felt that the middle length of the movie, in my opinion, was a bit rushed. All the way from when Dracula attacked the plane to when Dracula turn Mary's roommate, Lucy, into a vampire. I think the middle length of the movie was rushed, so that we could see the ending a little bit faster. So, the story in this movie is not that great.
In terms of characters in this movie, they are pretty much forgetable. None of the characters in this movie serve a purpose to be in your memory banks forever and ever. For starters, Dracula is not portrayed well in this movie. The reason being is because he doesn't really talk that much, in the first half of him being in the movie. Valerie Sharpe, who is a news reporter that becomes one of the brides from Dracula, doesn't really give you a good first impression. I can't describe her first impression very well, but what I can say is that she tries to act differently over other news reporters in terms of personality. But, it's a big failure.
We also don't get a lot of character development on Lucy and Valerie. We don't really get to know hardly anything about those two ladies before they become vampires. But since the middle length of the flim was rushed and since that those two appear in the middle length of the flim, that's the reason why I feel that Lucy and Valerie didn't get a lot of character development over the other characters in this movie. As for characters like Simon, Abraham, Mary, Solina and the thieves, I think that those characters are forgetable.
For the settings of this movie, many of them do look good. Although I have a couple of problems for 2 particular settings. In fact, both settings share this problem, believe it or not. In the scene where you see the driver in the airplane's cockpit, you can tell that the background representing the clouds look so fake. I've seen other movie that can make clouds a bit realistic when you are in the cockpit of an airplane. Movies like Independence Day and X2: X-Men United. But in here, it look likes a wallpaper of a blue sky with clouds. I can tell it looks so fake. The same thing goes from when in the scene when Mary sees Judas Iscariot is hanging. You can also tell that the red sunlight, in the background, looks like a wallpaper. And because with those two issues mentioned, it feels like those two scenes were flimed at a lyric theater.
The acting is not that great. For starters, Jennifer Esposito (the actress that plays Solina) is terrible because her character is from England and she didn't try to put a british accent into her. Not to mention that she performance as a vampire is god awful. The actress that plays Valerie Sharpe, Jeri Ryan, is also not that great. she acts like she didn't be a part of this movie and wanted to go back into finishing her role as Seven of Nine in Star Trek: Voyager. christopher Plummer
plays Abraham in this movie. He does an ok job, but he performance isn't something memorable compared to Anthony Hopkins's role as Abraham Van Helsing in the Bram Stoker's Dracula movie, directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Gerald Butlet doesn't do a good job for doing the role of Dracula. Reason being is that he is so soft-spoken and it kinda annoys to hear him speak so soft and calm all the time. I really wish he would speak up most of the times. He spoke a little louder once, but I wish he would have done it more. At least, Gary Oldman and Richard Roxburgh were not like that. They were soft-spoken, but they were not like Gerald Butler at all.
I wasn't that impressed with Justine Wadell's performance as Mary all that much. I mean, her problem is almost the same as of Gerald Butler's performance. She takes the whole soft-spoken thing to a new level. Her soft-spokeness ness is worse then Gerald. Vitamin C does a decent job for doing of Lucy, in her human form. But as soon as Lucy becomes a vampire, her performance is like "Oh, god!" There are a couple of actors that do fine jobs for their acting. Actors like Jonny Lee Miller and Omar Epps do a fine job for doing their roles. The soundtrack is pretty good to listen to in this movie. It consits of hard rock and metal tracks from bands like Linkin Park, Slayer, Disturbed, System of a Down and Pantera.
Overall, Dracula 2000 is not a good movie. The story has some flaws, half of the characters and many of the actor's performance's in this movie are crap and that's why this movie should be avoided. If you want to see a Dracula movie, this is not the movie you should watch. You should be better off watching the multiple movie versions of the classic novel or all the other Dracula flims done by Hammer Flims.

Hi guys. I just made a game review of a game called Shadow Hearts: Covenant. Check out my review and see what you think of it.
I noticed that I moved up a rank. I'm now Level 37, Heiankyo Alien, which is named after a game that was released in the late 70's or the early 80's.
That's all I have to say. See you later.

Rosario + Vampire is an anime series released in January of 2008 and was directed by Takayuki Inagaki, who also directed Desert Punk, Indian Summer and Marginal Prince. The anime starts of a student named Tsukune Aono. He was trying to go to a private school, due to his poor test scores. This one school accepted Tsukune, but he finds out that it's a school filled with monster students and teachers, in disguise as humans. He then meets a student named Moka Akashiya and started to make friends with each other. But, Tsukune finds out that Moka is a vampire and she is attracted to the tastes of human blood. Tsukune realizes what he did was a big mistakes and he is now fearing his life in a school filled monsters. Unlike some animes of this type like School Days, this story does not have a main plot at all. It's basically has episodes that center on Tsukune's life in this school that he is in. Now, this might sound good in concept. But Rosario + Vampire really fails in execution.
For starters, this show is going to the same direction as Pokemon where the formula of each episodes are the same thing. Some of the episodes are told differently. But it's pretty much the same for the most part. This is how most of the episodes are set up: Tsukune and Moka are in class together, they meet up with members of the school that are (A: Males that have a crush on Moka or any of the other main females of the show: Kurumu Kurono, Yukari Sendo and Mizore Shirayuki. Or B: Females having a love interest on Tsukune), the main characters introduce themselves and gets to know this certain member of the school or a certain group. Later on, either Tsukune or any of the girls gets captured by those students or teachers, they reveal their monster forms, Tsukune removes Moka's rosario on her neck, Moka transforms into her actual form, beats the monster, everyone's happy and each episode usually ends with Moka bitting Tsukune's neck saying "KAPPUCHU!" That's one out of many flaws of the plot of this show.
Secondly, this show has fan service everywhere. This anime loves to show panty shots of Moka, Kurumu and any other female members of the school. You'll also see boob's giggling and bouncing a lot. So, the fan service really kills this anime drastically. Also, the way the previews of the next episodes are set up is stupid. You see Moka's skirt blowing from the wind, while seeing her panties at the same times. Can't they the staff put in footage of the upcoming episode, like most anime series do? And lastly, the name's of each episode is also repetitive. Every episode usually ends with "Vampire". It goes like this: Ep 1: New Life and Vampire, Ep 2: Succubus and Vampire, Ep 3: Witch Girl and Vampire, Ep 4: Goodbye and Vampire and it goes on and on, until episode 13. So pretty much, the plot is the one of the biggest flaws of this anime.
I have mixed reactions on the characters. First of all, I like Tsukune. He is far likeable character then Makoto of School Days. He never goes on the pervert side like Makoto and that's why I like him. I do like Moka. I don't like Kurumu Kurono, the succubus, because every time she gets closed to Tsukune, her boobs will giggle and bounce all the time. I didn't like Yukari Sendo, the witch, at first because she mentions her breasts. But I started to like her because she never talks about her breasts, unlike Kurumu. Mizore Shirayuki is good. What makes her unique from the other main female characters is that her form is an ice queen and I don't find that monsterous at all. I don't like Ginei Morioka, the werewolf, all that much. He much he is a pervert because he always take pictures of girls changing their clothes. The rest of the characters are fine, for the exception of Ririko Kagome, the math teacher. Reason: Boob giggling. Nuff said! So, I have mixed feelings for the characters.
The animation and artstyle looks good in this anime, but there are some problems. First of all, I don't like the character design of Tsukune because he reminds me of Makoto. As some of you may be aware of me by now, I hate Makoto so much. And looking at Tsukune, it makes me feel like I'm watching an anime with Makoto, but set in a different setting. Second, I think the animation for Moka's butt and chest becoming a little big when she transforms is so stupid and unnecessary. And lastly, I notice that the anime will sometimes repeat scenes when Moka and Tsukune saying their names to each other more then once. But overall, it's a good looking anime. All the characters look great and the anime does look colorful.
The japanese voice acting is pretty good, like most animes in their original dubs. Tsukune is voiced by Daisuke Kishio, who voiced Jet Black in Sonic Riders, Ryo Mizuhara in Final Approach, Kicker in Transformers: Energon and Kaname Kuran in Vampire Knight. Moka is voiced by Nana Mizuki, who did Wrath in Fullmetal Alchemist, Erina Pendleton in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood, Hinata Hyuuga in Naruto, Nana Suzuki in Seven of Seven and Maria in Witchblade And lastly, Kurumu Kurono is voiced by Misato Fukuen, who did Eve in Black Cat, Patty in Devil May Cry, Sandy in The Marshmallow Times and Ryuna in Shining Tears X Wind. I have a few problems with the sound. First, It's annoying to hear the same spoken dialogue over and over, whenever some guy talks about Moka's true form during her transformation. Secondly, the dialogue isn't all that good, because it meniton's female's breasts quite a lot and lastly, the music can get repetitive. It was good at first, but the more you hear many of the same tracks over and over, it gets really old pretty fast.
In the end, Rosario + Vampire is the worst anime I've seen since School Days and Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie. There is no depth in the plot because of the repetitiveness and the fan service. If you want to see a vampire anime, do yourselves a favor and avoid this anime at all costs. It's not that entertaining to watch and it's just a waste of time.

Hellsing is a TV series that was directed by Umanosuke Lida and was released in 2001. The story is about an organization called the Hellsing organization, which is led by a woman named Integra. And the organization's job is to hunt down undead creatures that appear all across the globe, mainly in London, England (which is where the anime takes place.) Integra has a vampire that is working with the organization named Alucard, which is Dracula spelled backwards. He also brings in a human girl that used to work for the police named Victoria and she had became a vampire, by the hands of Alucard. Main reason is because in the first episode a vampire priest caught Victoria and placed her right in front of the priest, so that he could give Alucard a hard time for killing the vampire, because he doesn't want Vicoria to be killed. But, he asked Victoria if she wants to go down the path of being a vampire. She accepted it, Alucard shoots the gun, the bullet went through Victoria's chest and killed the vampire priest.
So you might be asking to yourself "Is Hellsing following the same footsteps as other animes like Cowboy Bebop?" Well, yes and no. Yes, because the first 7 episodes of the series do follow the manga and each of them are told differently. And no, because starting from episode 8 through 13, the series sort of drifts away from following the manga and adds in a new plot that does not follow the manga at all. But does that mean that the new plot in the second half of the show is terrible? No, it's not. It's a neat plot in the second half, but it somehow doesn't really fit well when you are adding and mixing a brand new plot mixed with the first several episodes in the series that had no kinda of connection on what the second half of the show will be like. The characters in the show are superb. I love Alucard. He is a great vampire character that is ever put in an anime centering on vampires. Integra is a good character. She is really driven because she had a rough past that was dealing with her becoming the next head of the organization and for meeting Alucard the first time in her life. Victoria is good. Alexander Hamilton is this warrior priest that works with the Iscariot Organization and he is out trying to kill Victoria and Alucard, because of them being vampires. He also killed a few human members of the Hellsing organization. I also like Walter. Incognito, the main villian of the new plot in the second half of the series, is good. He kinda looks like Count Orlok from the 1922 movie, Nosferatu. So really, all the characters are great.
The artstyle and animation is superb. The overall look and the atmosphere of London looking so dark really looks amazing. The characters are really detailed and the action scenes are executed rather well. The one thing that bothers me about the animation is that Victoria's hair will change from orange to yellow in some occasions in the show. They only happens if she enters a place where it's so dark, and that's understandable. But, is that little change really necessary? I think it would look find if she had orange hair in very dark places in the show. But overall, it's a pretty good looking anime. I've watched the japanese version and the voice acting is spot on. Alucard is voiced by Jouji Nakata, who did Graham in Macross Dynamite 7, Childman in Orphen, Dark Oak in Sonic X and Van Grants in Tales of the Abyss. Victoria is voiced by Fumiko Orikasa, who did Lady in Devil May Cry, Miss Valentine in One Piece and Kirara Mikumari in Samurai 7. Integra is voiced by Yoshiko Sakakibara, who voiced Kate Valentine in Chrono Crusade, Karla in Record of Lodoss War and Dr. Rachel Links in Zone of the Enders. I also enjoyed listening to the music in this anime. It's got some piano rock tracks that I think really fits the anime very well. I also like listening to the opening theme of this anime, which sounds great.
Overall, Hellsing is an awesome series. With it's great atmosphere, good characters and even great dialogue given to the actors, it really makes this one of the best horror series I've seen. About the only major complaint I have with the series is that the second half of the show really drifts away from the direction of the manga and addeds in a new plot which is ok, but somehow doesn't fit well in terms of the connections between the first 7 episodes and the last 6 episodes. But Hellsing is a great series that anyone should watch, if you are into vampires or horror animes.

Blood: The Last Vampire is an anime movie released in 2000 that was directed by Hiroyuki Kitakubo, the same guy that directed Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Golden Boy. There's not much in the story of this anime, but this is how I can describe the story. The movie centers on a vampire named Saya, who works for an organization called Red Shield and her mission is to hunt down these chiropterans, which are hematophagous bat-like creatures that are killing people that are around the American Yokota Air base in Japan.. That's pretty much it for the story. The first problem I have with this movie's plot is that it has a lack of story. It doesn't really explain to you where these creatures came from or what are they doing in the movie. And because of that problem, the story is certaintly the weakiest part of this movie.
Another problem of this movie is that it's extremely short for an anime movie. You can expect to finish this movie at around 48 minutes, which is really crazy to have an anime movie that short. So overall, this movie is going to be a complete waste of time for seeing a movie that is really short. But does this mean that Blood: The Last Vampire is a bad anime? Of course not. There are a couple of action scenes in it that are fun to watch in here. But you wish there were more of it, if this movie were longer and had a lot more effort in the story. The characters are alright. Sara and David are alright. But the major problem with the characters is that you don't really get to know much any of the characters that play a huge role in this movie. Sara does get a little bit of development, but not a whole lot. And with that side, I think the characters are pretty shallow, just by how they are portrayed.
As for the artstyle and animation, Blood: the Last Vampire really looks fantastic. All the environments look great, the animation is smooth and many of the characters are designed pretty good. There are a couple of characters that are designed pretty awkwardly. But, many of the characters do look great. The sound in this movie has some flaws as well. For one thing, it's really odd to hear both the japanese and english voice acting together in one movie and it's also weird on how those two are set up. When I said on how those two languages are set up, I meant that some of the scenes in this movie will sometimes go into english first and then goes to japanese like after 2 minutes or more in a certain scene. I think it would be a whole lot better if there was an option for you to watch this moive in either of those languages, instead of hearing two languages together while watching an anime movie. Ok, you don't understand on why I am saying in this, let me make an example from another anime movie. Let's pretend that Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie has this problem. I know really that movie doesn't have this problem, but hear me out. Let's pretend that you will hear the first half of the scene where Guile encounters Chun-Li while driving at night in Japanese. Starting from that part of that particular scene all the way till Guile mentions Dee Jay. But then, as soon as the second half of that particular scene starts where Guile and Chun-Li enounter Dee Jay to tell him about Bison's robots, the language in the second half of that particular scene will be change from japanese to english. The example that I explained already is the problem that Blood: The Last Vampire has. I'm not kidding. Watch it yourself and you'll see what I mean. But, the voice acting in both languages is good. I can't give examples of voice actors in this movie. What I can say is that one of my english voice actors, Steven Blum, is in this movie. But he only plays a character that doesn't play a big role in this movie. But the voice acting is still good. The music is also good, but there isn't enough of it.
In the end, Blood: The Last Vampire is a pretty shallow anime. With the movie being on the short side and how it doesn't have a lot of depth in both the story and the characters, it's not going to be an anime you want to watch over and over and over again. I'm not saying that this anime is bad. In fact, it's a good anime. But it just has too many problems that kinda makes this movie more of a rental, then an actual purchase.

Van Helsing is an action/horror flim released in 2004 starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale and was written and directed by Stephen Sommers, who was also the director for the smash hit movie The Mummy and it's sequel, The Mummy Returns. The movie starts off in the year 1887 in Transylvania, where Doctor Victor Frankenstein brings his monster to life with a little assistance from his Igor and Count Dracula. Dracula reveals that he helped Frankenstein so he could use the Monster for his own purposes, which is later revealed in the middle length of the flim that he wants the monster to awaken his undead children to life and feed on the people of Transylvania. But anyway, Frankenstein refuses to help Dracula and tries to kill him, but he finds out that Dracula is already dead and Dracula ends up killing the doctor. The monster picks up the dead body of Victor and heads off into a windmill that near's the castle. But a mob full of the villagers followed the monster to the windmill and they ended up burning the windmill. And when that happen, the windmill collapsed and both, the monster and the dead body of Victor, disappeared in the flames. So, Dracula thinks that his plan is a failure because of how he thinks that the monster is dead.
We fast forward to a year later, as we are introduced to the main character of the movie, Van Helsing. And no, it'snot Abraham Van Helsing from the classic Dracula novel. Anyways, Gabrille Van Helsing is a monster hunter and he was hunting down Mr. Hyde and ends up killing him. He returns to the Knights of the Holy Order in Vatican City, which is some kind of church group that hunts down hellish creatures that's hidden all over Europe or something like that. He has a brand new mission where he is being sent to Transylvania to help the last member of the Valerius family named Anna to destroy Dracula. Otherwise, if Anna dies before Dracula gets killed, many generations of the family will never go to heaven. However, Anna finds out that her brother, Velkan, actually is still alive. But, he has been bitten by a werewolf and can transform into one. Now I will say that the story is not really all that great. I mean, the main focus of this movie is Dracula awaken his children to feed on the people of Transylvania. If you think about it, there are some other movies, before and after this movie, that has a plot that is similar to Van Helsing. Example: Hellboy II: The Golden Army. That movie's story was just about the same. But instead of an army of bats wanting to feed on people of a town, it was giant robots wanting to destory the world. There are other movies like Van Helsing and Hellboy II that shares the same problem, in terms of storytelling. So, the story is not really all that great.
In terms of character portrayations, I do like half of the characters in this movie. I do like Van Helsing, he's a cool guy. I like Anna. I love Carl, he is great. He can be bumbling, but he is quite intelligent. I do like him. Dracula is great, Igor was good. But my favorite characters in this movie are easily Dracula's brides, who are Verona, Marishka and Aleera. I think these brides are so damn hot to be vampire brides and I just love it by how they are portrayed in this movie. They definitely kick the crap of the god awful vampire brides in Dracula 2000. They are almost as better as the brides from the Gary Oldman Dracula movie, but I have a big impact of the 3 brides in this movie way more then any other vampire brides I've seen in some vampire movies.
There are a couple of characters that I don't like in this movie. For one thing, I don't like on how Mr. Hyde is portrayed. He is nothing like on how he was in the book, "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde". He is not the normal human being, in a evilish form, that he was in the book. Instead, he is just this giant monster. I don't like on how he's portrayed. I also don't like on how Frankenstein's monster is portrayed as well. He doesn't act on how the actual monster act's like in both the book and the movie with Boris Karloff. I always wondered why is the monster talking like a normal human being? Correct me if I'm wrong, but did the monster only makes grunts and only talks in little words? If yes, then why is Frankenstein's monster portrayed differently in this movie? Those are the only two issues I have with a couple of characters in Van Helsing.
The settings in this movie is great. I like on how Transylvania is made and the same goes for the 2 castles that Frankenstein and Dracula live in. So overall, the settings look great. Now I'm not really a big fan of CGI in movies, but I do like some of the CGI that is used like the CGI on the werewolf and Dracula's monster form. I do like those. The CGI used in the vampire bride's bodies, in their monster forms, looks alright. I don't like on how they look they used to CGI for Dracula and the brides to open their mouths when they need to bite Anna's neck. It looks crazy and bad. I also don't like on how Mr. Hyde looks like in CGI. In terms of makeup or costumes, Igor and the monster form of the brides looks good in makeup. I don't like the costume that the actor that plays Frankenstein's monster is wearing. It looks absolutely nothing like the actual classic look of Frankenstein's monster.
The acting in this movie is really well done, for the exception of Shuler Hensley who is the actor that plays the monster. He doesn't do a really good job at bringing his character to life in this movie. It's very unmemorable and forgetable, unlike on how Boris Karloff's acting of Frankenstein was superb and unforgetable. Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale do a great job at playing their characters. Richard Roxburgh, from movies like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Moulin Rouge!, plays Dracula and he does a good job at playing the role of everyone's favorite vampire. He may not be as memorable as Gary Oldman or Bela Lugosi, but he still does a fine job at playing the role of the character. David Wenham, who was in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and 300, did a good job for acting for the role of Carl. Kevin J. O' Connor, who was in The Mummy and Clive Barker's Lord of Illusions, does a nice job at playing the role of Igor. Silvia Colloca, Josie Marin and Elena Anaya do wonderful jobs for playing as the brides. The actresses that play the brides were another reason as to why I love those brides in the movie so much. I'm not a fan of either of those 3 ladies, but I just love their acting and just the way they portray themselves as the vampire brides. So overall, I think the acting is pretty good. The music is great. It's composed by Alan Silvestri, who was also the composer for movies like Cast Away and The Polar Express.
In the end, Van Helsing is a good action/horror that's very underrated and a bit fun to watch. It definitely doesn't rank with movies like the Bela Lugosi version of Dracula, the Dracula movie with Gary Oldman and even Interview with the Vampire as being the best vampire movies in history, but it's still a good movie to check out, even though the story is not the best part of this movie. So if you want to see a good and decent vampire or monster movie, I would suggest you check out Van Helsing.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is the sequel to the first Vampire Hunter movie that was released in 1985. This movie was released in 2000 and was directed by Yoskiaki Kawajiri, who was responsible for the anime movie, Ninja Scroll. Now, you don't need to see the first movie in order to watch Bloodlust, because this movie's story is not a continuation of the first Vampire Hunter D movie. Now the story starts with a woman named Charlotte was kidnapped by a vampire named Meier Link. Charlotte's father hires D to either rescue Charlotte or kill her if she turns into a vampire. However, Charlotte's brother has sent a group of bounty hunters called the Marcus brothers and they are also on the search to rescue Charlotte. So both, D and the Marcus brothers, are on a competition to see who will get their first. But actually, D finds out that Charlotte and Meier are actually in love with each other.
So the story is this movie is great. I definitely love this movie's story a lot more then the first one because the story in the first movie, in my opinion, was pretty cliche. I mean, the first movie's story was just your basic plot about a vampire hunter rescuing a girl from a vampire lord. Here, this story is totally different and it makes you forget about the first movie's story. So, I love the story in this movie. I do like the characters in this movie. D and his symbiote are pretty much the same as how they were in the first movie. I like Meier and Charlotte, as well as the members of the Marcus brothers. Borgoff is cool. I like Nolt and Kyle. Grove is pretty cool. He is a special power, unlike all the other members of the Marcus brothers. Whenever he takes a drug, his soul comes out of his body and he can do massive physical attacks. I think Lelia is a more driven character then the other Marcus brothers. She joined the Marcus brothers because she wanted to avenge her parents. Her father was killed trying to rescue her mother by vampires, who was actually turned into a vampire herself. So the characters are all really good and they do serve a great purpose of the story in the anime.
The artstyle and animation is absolutely one of the major highlights of this movie. It looks gorgeous and it makes you forget about the dated animation and artstyle that were in the first movie. The characters are incredible, the animation is great and the environments are awesome to look at. There is nothing bad I can say about either one of those two. It certaintly is one of the best looking animes I've seen, next to 5 Centimeters Per Second. I watched the english dub version of this movie and the voice acting is great. It's one of the best english voice actings I've seen in an anime, since other animes like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Gundam Wing and Death Note. And plus, this movie also includes actors that were from the game, Final Fantasy X. So if you are a fan of the voice acting in Final Fantasy X like I am, then you will like the english voice acting in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. D is voiced by Andrew Philpot, who did Yurimaru in Ninja Scroll and High Summoner Braska in Final Fantasy X. Meier Link is voiced by John Rafter Lee, who did Tervor Goodchild in the american cartoon series, Aeon Flux. The talking left hand is voiced by Michael McShane, who did Cid in Final Fantasy X and X-2 and Tuck and Roll in the Pixar animated flim, A Bug's Life. Leila is voiced by Pamell Segall, who did Jue in Final Flight of the Osiris, which was one of the ovas that was in The Animatrix and Shinra in Final Fantasy X-2. Charlotte is voiced by Wendee Lee, who did Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop, Xianghua in Soul Calibur II and III, Chris Mackenzie in Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket and Twilight Suzuka in Outlaw Star. Kyle is voiced by Alex Fernandex, who did Maester Seymour Guado in Final Fantasy X. Grove is voiced by Jack Fletcher, who did Garik in Final Fantasy X-2. Nolt is voiced John DiMaggio, who did Kimahri and Wakka in Final Fantasy X and X-2. And Borgoff is voiced by Matt Mckenzie, who did Auron in Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts II and Major Elliot in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. So, the english voice acting is superb in this movie. The music in the movie is pretty good to listen to.
Overall, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is way better then the first movie and it's really fun and entertaining anime movie to watch. It's certaintly ranks up with other animes like Akira, Ninja Scroll and Ghost in the Shell as one of the most famous classic animes ever. So if you are a fan of the first movie, then you should check out Bloodlust. But if you haven't seen the first movie and if you're one of those persons that doesn't like anime all that much but loves vampires to death, I would still suggest checking out this movie. It's really an anime that is really worth watching.

Vampire Hunter D is an anime movie released in 1985 that was directed by Toyoo Ashida, who was also the director for the anime series, Fists of the North Star. This is one of the first anime movies that was released outside of Japan. The movie takes place in the year 12,090 A.D. and it talks about of a 17 year old girl named Doris Lang, who is the daughter of a deceased werewolf hunter, and she was attacked by Count Magnus Lee, a vampire lord that is said to be over 10,000 years old. Magnus is after Doris because he wants her to be his new bride. She then encounters a mysterious horseman named D and she hires him to protect her from Count Magnus, his daughter Ramika and a mutant servent named Rei Ginsei.
I don't really like the story all that much because it's pretty cliche. It's pretty much your basic story about a vampire hunter rescuing a girl that is kidnapped by a vampire lord. So, you're not going to see anything special in an anime like this. So overall, it's not really all that good. In terms of characters, they are all likeable. I really like D, he is now one of my favorite vampiric characters next to Alucard in Hellsing, Lestat in Interview with the Vampire and Dracula himself. I do like Doris and her brother, Dan. Count Magnus Lee is a pretty cool villian. One hint about him is that his name is a mix of Count Magnus, which is a short story that was written by M.R. James and Hammer Flims famed vampire actor, Christopher Lee. I also like Ramika and Rei Ginsei in this movie, as well. So, I felt that the staff did put some solid effort into making the characters in this anime.
The artstyle and animation looks alright for an anime released in the mid 1980's, but it looks dated looking back at it and comparing to the artstyle and animation in animes today. I'm not really into 80's animes, because I don't like on how the artstyle and animation looks like at that time. This is one of the few reasons as to why I didn't get into Super Dimension Fortress Macross, because of that anime's artstyle. And that's why I prefer watching 90's and today's animes because the artstyle and the animation in those animes look clean and sharp. But anyway, Vampire Hunter D's animation and artstyle looks dated, but it's alright. I watch the english dub version of the movie and the voice acting is great. D is voiced by Michael McConnohie, who did General Uranus in Applseed, Big Daddy in Gungrave, Norris Packard in Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team and Astraroth in Soul Calibur III and IV. Doris Lang is voiced by Barbara Goodson, who did Mitsune Konno in Love Hina, Bobby Bear in Maple Town Stories, Jane in Space Adventure Cobra, Star in Tekkaman Blade and Apple in Zillion. And D's symbiote is voiced by Kirk Thornton, who voiced Black Jack in the Black Jack ova, Minotaur in the Blue Dragon anime, Gabumon in Digimon Adventure, and Knight in Duel Masters. I don't like the actor that voices Dan in the english dub because the actor that plays Dan is a female and she didn't make her voice boyish for voicing her character. But instead, the actress that plays Dan Lara Cody, makes Dan sounds feminine. And lastly, there was one case where the dialogue gets weird. When Count Magnus Lee said to Doris "does this look exciting?" when D was caught by the snake sisters, Doris said "No, you've got to save him!" That's something you shouldn't say to a villain. You should've said "No, you must stop this madness!" or something like that. Those are the only two problems I have with the voice acting. The music in this anime is pretty good to listen to.
I really don't have any other things to say about Vampire Hunter D, but this movie is a great anime that's fun to check out. It certaintly isn't the best vampire anime out there, but I do like this movie because of it's characters and some good moments in the action, even though the story isn't really all that good. So if you're into animes centering on vampires in a retro feel, then check out Vampire Hunter D. It's really worth checking out.

If you guys read my last post, I said I was reviewing animes on vampires because I'm doing a review marathon that is me reviewing animes centering on my favorite night creatures. But I was thinking about something while I was making my first review in the marathon, which will be here later today, that I should review live action vampire movies like Interview with the Vampire, Shadow of the Vampire, Dracula with Bela Lugosi, Van Helsing and others.
So I thought, hey what don't my friends decide if I should add live action vampire movies on my vampire chronicles? So, here's my question to all of you: Should I add and review live action vampire movies?
Yes or No
You pick. See you later.

Hey guys. I got something to say, regarding my anime reviews. I got good news and bad news. The good news is on here and Youtube, I'm doing an anime review marathon called "Bamdude's Vampire Chronicles". I only found 12 animes that center on vampires and here are the animes:
- Vampire Hunter D
- Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
- Blood: The Last Vampire
- Hellsing
- Vampire Wars
- Rosario + Vampire
- Vampire Knight
- Black Blood Brothers
- Karin
- Trinity Blood
- Vampire Princess Miyu
- Blood+
The reason why I wanted to do this was becauses if some of you know already, vampires are my favorite night creatures ever. And now for the bad news, my review for Fullmetal Alchemist has to be scrapped because I had so many negative points about the animation and artstyle that I didn't think were necessary, but I added it and it ended up being a disaster. So, I might review it again eventually. But if I get the chance to review it again, I have to make changes.
That's my update for today. See you later.

Gunsmith Cats in a 3 episode ova that was released in 1995 and was directed by Takeshi Mori, who did Ruin Explorers and Skull Man. The anime centers on two women, Rally Vincent and May Hopkins. These two girls work at a gunshop called Gunsmith Cats, but they are also bounty hunters and they hunt down criminals that are over Chicago, Illinois. This anime does not have a story that continues throughout the ova. This is more like Cowboy Bebop, where each episode is told differently. Now the first episode is the only episode that has a different story over the last 2 episodes. Episodes 2 and 3, however, has a story that pretty much continues. Each of the stories in each episodes are told very good, but they are not story driven as Cowboy Bebop. Now Gunsmith Cats was made 3 years before Cowboy Bebop. But comparing this anime to Cowboy Bebop, because both animes are almost the same, the plot set up in each episodes don't really suck you in, as how Cowboy Bebop did.
The one thing I was so impressed with this anime is that the developers of this anime did an excellent job as how they portrayed America in this ova. It feels like your watching a japanese anime that's not made in japan. Granted, the characters still have the animeish look to them. But for the most part, it feels like you are watching an anime that was made in america because the developing team really did a very good job for making the execution of how America feels like and looks like. The characters in this anime are good. I do like Rally Vincent and May Hopkins in this ova. I also the characters that never appeared in the manga. Also, I forgot to mention something. This ova has an original story and some original characters that wasn't in the manga. Characters like William Collins and Natasha Radinov are 2 examples. But overall, the characters are good in this ova. The only problem with all the characters is that you don't get hardly any character development for many of the characters. All of the episodes really focus more on the story, moreso then the characters. So, you don't really get to learn anything of any of the characters or the pasttimes sadly. That's the only problem I have with the characters in this ova.
The artstyle and animation is good for an anime that was released in the mid 90's. However, I've been other mid 90's animes that are better looking then this. Other animes like Please Save My Earth, Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, Ninja Cadets, Night Warriors: Darkstalker's Revenge and others. I do have a flaw, in terms of the animation. I really don't like on how they designed half of the character's teeth. Half of the characters in this ova, mainly the female ones, have pointy fang like teeth that kinda make them look like vampires. It just kinda disturbed me that way. But, the animation and artstyle in Gunsmith Cats is good, but I've seen other mid 90's animes that has better-looking animation and better-looking artstyle.
I've watched the japanese version of this anime and as usual, the japanese voice acting is really good. May Hopkins is voiced by Kae Araki, who did Hikari Yagami in Digimon Adventure, Simone is Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: The Last Blitz of Zeon and Usagi Tsukino or Sailor Moon in the anime series Sailor Moon. Rally Vincent is voiced by Michiko Neya, who did Satella Harvenheit in Chrono Crusade, Barnette Orangello in the Vandread trilogy, Natalia L. K. Lanvaldear in the anime series, Tales of the Abyss and Mako Sato in the Initial D trilogy. Becky Farrah is voiced by Aya Hisakawa, who did Kerberos in Cardcaptor Sakura, Ray in Eureka Seven, Ami Mizuno or Sailor Mercury in Sailor Moon and Rem in Trigun. And Bill Collins is voiced by Houchu Ohtsuka, who did Beck Gold in The Big O, Collins One Seven in Melty Lancer, Chibodee Crocket in G Gundam, Yazan Gable in Zeta Gundam and Kyle in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. The music is pretty good in this ova. It contains of jazzy and rock tracks that fit well in this anime. The opening theme is pretty good and also just to let you know, the opening intro of Gunsmith Cats is very similar to the opening intro to Cowboy Bebop. So overall, the music is great.
Gunsmith Cats is a great anime that fans of police theme animes will enjoy. If the story was more story driven and had more development to the characters (despite the fact that both the story in each episodes and the characters are good), I think this anime would've gotten a higher score. But as it is, Gunsmith Cats is a great anime to check out regardless. So if you are a fan of police theme animes or if you are a fan of Cowboy Bebop, then I would check out Gunsmith Cats.

Chrono Crusade is a TV series released in 2003 that was directed by Yuu Kou, who also directed Loveless and Monochrome Factor. This anime follows the story of 2 characters. Rosette Christopher, who is the elite exorcist of the Order of Magdalene, and her partner Chrono, who is this devil that Rosette's partner. They both work for the Order of Magdalene, which is an organization that banishes devils and demons to hell. These night creatures are appearing all over New York City, which is where Rosette and Chrono live in, and other parts of America. So, it's up to Rosette, Chrono and the other members of the organization to hunt down and banish all night creatures that are spread across the country. During the course of the show, we get to learn more about the main characters. Rosette is actually on a search to find her missing brother, Joshua, who has been kidnapped by Aion, who is this devil that wants to overthrow Heaven and Earth. He does share a dark history with Chrono, so you get to learn more about this 2 devils.
I do like the story is pretty neat in an anime that centers on religion and I think many anime fans that are christians or whatnot will definitely appreciate this anime's story. The anime consists of 24 episodes and for the most part, all of the episodes are told very well and they don't actually get to a part where it gets boring. The one and only problem I have with the plot is that the anime tends to get dragged on a little bit, between episode 20 and episode 22, because you really wish you wanted to see on how the anime is going to be at the last 2 episodes. But, you have all these fights between the demons and organization and the discussions with the main and supporting characters in between that. So, that's my reason as to why this show tends to get a little bit dragged on. There is a couple of cases of fan service where Satella and a demon named Sheeda do boob giggles. But that is only shown a couple of times. So, this anime has a very, very little amount of fan service and I'm not to put as one of the main flaws of the show, because that problem does not hurt this anime a bit unlike on how I stated that the show can get dragged on a bit. But with that said, I still think this story in this anime is quite excellent.
The characters in this anime are all pretty likeable. Rosette is pretty impulsive, but she is a good character. I do like Chrono. He is pretty cool. I really like Azmaria a lot in this movie. She has a beautiful character design and she has the power to heal people with her singing voice, which really makes her really awesome. Satella Harvenheit is the last main character of the series. She is this jewel summoner and bounty hunter that hunts down demons. And just like Rosette, Satella is on the search to find her missing sister, who was taken by Aion. I also like Farther Remington. He's pretty cool. Sister Kate Valentine is the leader of the New York branch of the organization that Rosette and Chrono work at. She can be impulsive as well, but not as much as Rosette. And I never really like Edwartd Hamilton, or Elder, all that much. He is such a pervert. I also like Aion and Joshua in this anime. So all the characters in this anime are very likeable, except Elder.
The artstyle and animation in this show is really good. I really can't say much about the animation and artstyle since there are no problems at all with those two. I've watched the japanese version of this anime and the voice acting is pretty good, like all animes in japanese. Rosette is voiced by Tomoko Kawakami, who did Mariko in Elfen Lied, Ayame in Power Stone and Sugar in Sugar: A Little Snow Fairy. Chrono is voiced by Akira Ishida, who voiced Gordon in Fire Emblem, Un-oh in the Kiddy Grade trilogy, Julio Peacemaker in Miami Guns, Athrun Zala in Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny and Gaara in Naruto. Satella is voiced by Michiko Neya, who did Lena in Fire Emblem, Melissa Mao in the Full Metal Panic trilogy, Riza Hawkeye in Fullmetal Alchemist, Rally Vincent in Gunsmith Cats and Mako Sato in the Initial D trilogy. And Father Remington is voiced by Sho Hayami, who did Barn Bonnings in Aura Battler Dunbine and Enrico Maxwell in the Hellsing ova. The music in this anime is really good. It has a lot of choir and piano tracks in this anime that I think really fits the feel of this anime very well. I love the opening theme of this anime. It's really good for listen to. So overall, the music is excellent.
In closing, Chrono Crusade is an great anime series that anyone should check out. The story and many of the characters really do make a big impact in this anime, which is probably makes it so far the best religious anime I've seen so far. Some of the episodes around the end of the show does tend to get dragged on a bit, but many of the episodes are told very well and it's still a great anime series to watch if you are the sort of person that likes to watch animes that center on demons, religion and girls with guns.

I got a manga today at Borders that is based on the Street Fighter franchise. Here is the book:

Street Fighter II Volume 1
And for the new game, It's a PSP game called

This isn't my first Castlevania game. My first Castlevania was Lament of Innocence for the PS2. I like that game, but I think it was a not so good start for me getting into the series. I got this for 2 reasons:
- I wanted to try a Castlevania game in it's original 2D form
- Symphony of the Night, since I never played that game before
That's it for my post today. See you later.
