  The Rampant Ravings Of A Madman

  Starting August 15thish, I'm hoping to convert this to my review blog since I'll be working for a gaming store once again. I'm going to do my best to get at least one or two reviews in a week, perhaps more if people are demanding it (which I doubt). If you have an requests (new releases or old), let me know! I'll play them as soon as a can and bang out a review.

  As far as a rating system goes, I'll be using an "A+ to F" scale. I was going to not even use one at all at first. There are so many people who skim through, find a rating, and then make a decision solely based off of some numbers. As far as I am concerned, the whole numbers game has been skewed quite a bit. A ranking of "5" is no longer middle-of-the-road, it's bad. "7" is the new "average", and I'm hoping to get away from that.

  Here's a makeshift breakdown of the ratings:

  A = Buy it. Yesterday. Everyone owes it to themselves to play this game. (Katamari Damacy)

  B = Fans of the genre, buy it. Even if you're not a fan, or you're just a casual gamer, put this at the top of your rental list or buy it used. (NFL 2k5)

  C = Hardcore fanboys, buy it. You'll overlook the flaws. If you're a fan of the genre or just curious, rent it before you decide. (.Hack Series)

  D = Something is wrong here and even long time fans should rent it before buying. For the casuals, there are better things you could be playing. (Gundam: Crossfire)

  F = Someone put "Taking naps" at the top of the game developer To-Do list. Buy this if you want your friends to make fun of you. Rent it if you're a sucker for punishment like I am. (Kabuki Warriors)

  I'm a fan of just about every genre, tho I lack a little bit in the the sports/stealth action area. I'll do my best to give critical reviews with the limited time frame for playing the games that I have. With only 3ish days to play each game, I more than likely will not be beating them all. Also, I am but one man stating his opinion and will try to keep everyones interest in mind. Even tho I may not be a fan of some things, I've been working with video games long enough to know what people expect from certain games. If I mess something up, comment! If you agree/disagree with me, comment! Wanna see a review for a certain game, comment! I'll do my best to respond in a timely manner.
