Figured I'd throw together a list.

1. Dark Souls

2. Skyrim

3. Portal 2

4. The Witcher 2

5. Magicka

6. Battlefield 3

7. Infamous 2

8. Sonic Generation

9. Little Big Planet 2

10. Orcs Must Die

Note that I only own a PC and PS3 so any 360 or Wii exlusive did not have a chance to make it in. I also currently own Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Saints Row: The Third, Batman Arkham City, and Crysis 2 but have not played enough of any of them to consider them for my Top 10. Of course after I play them I'd assume my list would be changed but I am just letting you know hwy those games are absent from this list.

Ooh yeah auto save isn't a thing in MGS. :( Which makes me think of Deus Ex again. :P Deus Ex has a fantastic save system that the next stealth based MGS should adopt. It saves at the exact place of where you actually save, meaning if you mess up/die/whatever, you start right there rather than doing a whole room again. Also, it has 2 auto saves, which is really smart. Yeah like I've said, MGS3 holds up phenomenally well and is such a classic in every sense. I knew you'd like it more. ;) I still enjoyed Uncharted 3 but my first time through I had such astronomically high expectations that I was sorely disappointed by it. My second time (post patch) through was better. If you really don't care about trophies any more, play on Easy. This is easily the hardest Uncharted game because they never stop throwing enemies at you. It's ridiculous. I still have sharp urges to play it again so I know it's still good.

@Chaos_Bladez I actually ordered them by alternating how serious they take themselves. Deus Ex is a more serious game whereas Saints Row isn't and so on. I got super pissed with MGS2 because I forgot that it didn't have an autosave feature and I exited out of the game after playing like 2 hours and lost everything. Since it wasn't that enjoyable its hard to do it all over again. I do like MGS3 better though since I can control the camera and the environments are more open. I'm about 30 minutes past where you killed that bug boss guy (I think his name was Pain). I figured that Uncharted 3 wouldn't be as good as 2 and since I really didn't like the online from the Beta I figured that I would only play through the story no more than 2 times and by the time I am caught up on all these others games I will be able ot buy it much cheaper than $60

That's a respectable order. You seemed to order them in size. I don't know whether that was on purpose or not :P Yeah I saw you started MGS3 but didn't want to pester you on it :P Weird that Uncharted was a game to wait for for you. Just please lower your expectations. Trust me. ;) (it's good though)

@Chaos_Bladez I played about an hour of Batman: AA yesterday and that is currently my priority game to finish since I'm so far behind with that series. Once I'm done with that I'll probably go Dues Ex -> Saints Row -> Batman AC -> Rage -> Crysis 2. So many games to play! And I still need to finish MGS2 and 3 plus buy Uncharted 3 :( @Venom_Raptor I haven't been too busy but last year I built a PC so I've been mainly gaming on there since there is such a huge backlog of games that I didn't have access to before. The Witcher 2 is AMAZING though. The story in it is great (even despite not playing the first one). It definitely will warrant 2 playthrough since depending on the decisions you make the game will pan out completely different. I hope it gets ported to the PS3 as well so even more people will have a chance to play it.

Hey man, you must be quite busy at the moment, I don't tend to see you on PS3 as much :) Nice 2011 list by the way, I want to get The Witcher 2 when it arrives on the 360, it looks very good. I'm confident you'll enjoy Batman: Arkham City, it's a magnificent action adventure :D

I think you really would like Deus Ex, it seems like your kind of game. I wrote a review and compared it to Mass Effect mixed with mostly Metal Gear Solid with its own incredibly unique world. There's so much choice in everything you do. Missions, upgrades, side missions, ways to enter missions. Some are even drastically different from each other. I always felt like I was figuring stuff out because they don't blatantly label entrances; you have to find them. The story is very good as well. I was sucked in during the whole game and it has some fantastic endings. I could gush about it for a long time. :D SR3 is so dumb! But in the best way! You do the most ridiculous stuff in that game in almost every story mission, making every mission full of "WTF that was awesome!"moments. I wish I would have bought it and not rented it. PRIORITIZE BATMAN! :D Seriously though. ;)

@Chaos_Bladez I've only played about an hour of Deus Ex and it was already great so far. I love Adam Jenson as a character and am really interested to see how things pan out throughout the story. I am sure I will like Saints Row The Third as well. I've heard quite a bit about the game from the Giant Bomb GOTY deliberations and its seems like a game I would enjoy. I like games that don't take themselves seriously and their entire purpose is to be fun. BTW I finally got a controller working on my PC again so I can start playing through both Batman games :D

Your list is very unique. I like it. :D Deus Ex is fantastic. I finally got to it after months of not playing it and I loved almost everything about it. It would have been #3 on my list if I had gotten to it sooner. I know that and Batman would in your list for sure and Saints Row if you "get" it.
