  Top 10 Games of 2011

  Figured I'd throw together a list.

  1. Dark Souls

  2. Skyrim

  3. Portal 2

  4. The Witcher 2

  5. Magicka

  6. Battlefield 3

  7. Infamous 2

  8. Sonic Generation

  9. Little Big Planet 2

  10. Orcs Must Die

  Note that I only own a PC and PS3 so any 360 or Wii exlusive did not have a chance to make it in. I also currently own Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Saints Row: The Third, Batman Arkham City, and Crysis 2 but have not played enough of any of them to consider them for my Top 10. Of course after I play them I'd assume my list would be changed but I am just letting you know hwy those games are absent from this list.

  New Box

  Did an upgrade to my PC in the loom of Battlefield 3's release. Added a second HD6950 and got a next case (NZXT Phantom)

  *Picture removed*

  The whole picture won't fit in this blog but this is pretty much shows all that is new. The case is much more spacious than my NZXT Apollo

  New PC

  So I finally made the jump into the glorious world of PC Gaming. After weeks of uncertainty and feelings of inadequacy I managed to order all of my parts and assemble them without any major problems. These are the specs that I currently am using

  • CPU:Intel Core i5 2500k Sandy Bridge
  • GPU: MSI HD 6950 Twin Frozr ll
  • Motherboard: Asus P8P67 LGA 1155
  • Memory: G Sill Ripjaw 8GB (2 x 4GB)
  • Cooling: Coolermaster V8
  • HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB
  • Power Supply: Corsair TX 750W
  • Case: NZXT Apollo
  • Monitor: Asus VW246H 24" LCD 1920x1080
  • Mouse: Logitech MX518
  • Keyboard: Thermaltake Tt Challenger (Red Backlit)
  • Sound: Logitech Z-506 5.1 Surround Sound

  So far the games I have bought include:

  • Crysis
  • Just Cause 2
  • Fallout 3 GOTY
  • GTA4 Bundle
  • Metro 2033
  • Painkiller Redemption
  • Mass Effect 2

  I would also like to note that if you are considering PC Gaming, do it. I found it somewhat intimidatng at first since I have played consoles my whole life but it really is better. As far as assembly goes, there are TONS of great walkthroughs online which will tell you exactly hwo to do it. I am TERRIBLE at putting things together and I was able to do it pretty effortlessly.
