As the title suggests, I'm still catching up from 07.
Wen't down to EB games last week and was surprised to find both Mass Effect and Assasin's Creedat half Price. $100 fora couple of games with a couple of A's... not bad eh? Well, I loaded the games up and I have some mixed oppinions.
Assassin's Creed is quite good, I like it, but like many, many reviewers have said before, It gets REALLY repetative, which for some people is a good thing (those who enjoy the odd stabbing) or for more sane people like myself and most of the population who enjoy it for a good few hours, then the novelty wears off. I quite like the game, and it's an original concept, but I felt like just finishing the game after a while, knock over the story, you know what I mean? Well, from what I hear it's a bit of a dissapointment, but I figure it isn't really all that much effort to kill a couple more people.
Mass Effect.. what can I say? Not for the action hungry I guess. I personaly, am really digging this style of play for some reason. I've never been into RPGs (appart from like MMO's) where character development is so important, but I find myself drawn into what ever it is my character will do next. I keep thinking of this game as a Movie, where you call the shots (and shoot a few
), and I really dig that. I like the long cutscenes, as long as you get to intereact in some way (No MGS4 for me) and this game does that. Only other thing I could really say about it that I wish I had of got it earlier.'Only a Dozen?' Bring it on, I just wanna fire some Pew Pew Lazer Beams!
Thats about it for now,
Later!

Well,
It's been a while since if writen here, on my blog, and obviously, alot has happened since then. I know it's late, but I think there would have been little point in adding to the 1 000 001 GTA 4 articles already on the internet on the day/week/month of launch, so I figure now isn't such a bad time to write a little bit about it.
Well, to be honest, I havent really played much of them game, I haven't had alot of time, but I believe im just at 50% completion. I'm not going to bother going over the features, since I'm sure your all very awear, but I'm enjoying it alot. I've never liked any of the GTA games enough to buy one, maybe it's because when ever the chance came to play one, it always just ended up being some stupidily large riot, and never a run at any of the missions. We'll I was given GTA as a gift, and when I loaded it into the machine, I really was stunned at how deep this game truely is. Personally, what impressed me most, was the character development, and voice acting. It was just truely awesome how well they managed to do this, just great.
Also, GH: World Tour was announced recently... which is kind of an answer to my pleas? I've been craving Rock Band so badly, and with no sign of it in sight, this is probably a very good thing. My only doubts are that Activision won't deliver the DLC as well as Rock Band has for the US. I think that it would be pretty stupid not to, I mean, who wouldn't want to make big money off a game 6 months after release.
Was also thinking about buying a copy of Mass Effect, but considering I haven't even finished GTA yet, I don't think that will happen anytime soon.
Well, thats about it for the moment, lets hope we have a good few months for gaming ahead.

So,
I log into GameSpot today, the first time in about a week, just far too busy lately, where to my surprise I find a Rock Band thread. Unfortunatly, this wasn't the news of an Australian release date, but rather what I feared, a horrible dodgy second rate package from EA. Again, Non-North American nations are hit across the head with a bat, and as for us Australians, a nice, large, shiny metal one. I was bitterly dissapointed, and just knew this was coming, I'm sad to see this happen, but after all, this is by no means the package they've announced for Australia. Let's just keep our hopes up that EA may announce a realeace date for sometime this year... so much for Q1 eh?.

So, after a good solid go at Devil May Cry 4, I've betten it once through, and really enjoyed it. It seems that the dudes over at Capcom really made this a good opportunity for new fans to enter into the series. With a multi-platform release, they've been able to access a much larger audience that may not have ever played a DMC game, as well as this, the intoduction of a new character helps the newcomers get into the series faster. Overall, I really enjoyed the story, and a totally awesome refresher from all the FPS action over recent months.
So, what is there to look forward too...? Firstly, Frontlines Fuels of War. I was lucky enough to get a limited edition t-shirt sent to me from the PR department over at KAOS Studio's which was totally cool, and the only free piece of merchandise I own.
I'm looking forward to that one, which should be out pretty soon I believe.Well, looking back on my last Blog, not much has changed, still really craving Rock Band, and listening to some of the US podcasts, It seems like they really are focused on DLC, which really, really excites me. Well, I think this is the last time i'll post a blog at 1:20am.. anyways
Later,

Ahhh,
With the holiday rush over with now, and a massive flow og games my way, I've really been enjoying my 360 more than ever before. I've been playing alot of Guitar Hero 3 lately, and worked my way through Easy, then Medium and now Hard. It's a really big jump in each difficulty I've found, and from Easy to Medium I was able to get 5 Stars on a few songs a bit before you battle Slash. Hard is indeed what it says it is, it's bloody hard (or most likely, im just bad at it >.>). Scrolling down my song list, all I see are 3 star's, not a good sign, considering I'm almost up to the final set. Even though I can't seem to make it past Slipknot, I'm really enjoying hard, and can't wait to get to those classic metal tracks.
Anyway, still can't wait to get my hand's on Crysis, but i'm really hooked on COD4 online as it is, and working my way though the higher ranks now (lol, not prestige mode or anything). But yeah, a promising start to a promising year for gaming, although, I don't have that many on my wish list, but can't wait for Devil May Cry 4, Rock Band and Ninja Gaiden 2.

Hi,
My first blog on GameSpot, and really enjoying it. Heard about the Aussie Dream Theater tour coming up in '08 and can't wait! Been waiting for this day to come for decades now and my excitement is through the roof.
Now I have a fair bit more time to get into a bit more gaming and work my way through COD4. Also can't to get my hands on Crysis and give it a run for its money, I may even post a review.
Later,
Azules.
