  RE: Torchlight 2 article

  I recently read an article about the upcoming Torchlight 2, sequel to the game a most recently reviewed. It looks 'okay', much like the original, but the article raises a few concerns. The small team at Runic seemed pretty keen to add new content, like a new class, more dungeons (OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD) and multiplayer (the only good idea they have, it seems). What the article didn't mention, and was probably the only thing that, in my opinion, held the original game back, was improvements in their storytelling and plot development. Lets face it, the original game's story was... lacking. If they expect me to buy the second game, promising a much bigger world and more content, they better have a damn fine, maybe non-linear, story so that their game is actually finishable without resorting to self harm.
