    I haven't done a blog in awhile.....so I figured I'd do one!

Not too much has been going on with me. The end of the semester is fast approaching, so I have to stress about finals and stuff. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Today I don't have school because of college inservice, so my mom and I are gonna go shoe-shopping, and I'm also gonna get my hair cut and highlighted auburn. Just to change it up a bit. I usually do blonde, but this year I decided to try auburn.

This summer I'll be staying in Iowa, as my camp didn't give me my job back. So I may take a summer class or something, or just hang out with friends.

American Idol has started up again, so I've been mostly hanging out on one of their official websites, idolforums.com (IDF) in the section for Adam Lambert. He is my favorite contestant this year, because he's not afraid to be different, and at the same time he's very humble. Every time he's declared safe (he has yet to be in the bottom 2 or 3) he says thank you to the audience. So far, 6 contestants have been eliminated (there are 13 contestants instead of the usual 12): Jasmine Murray, Jorge Nunez, Alexis Grace, Michael Sarver, Megan Joy and Scott MacIntyre. Last week Kellie Pickler sang her hit song "The Best Days Of Your Life", which I really like. I actually like it better than the first single off her new CD, which I felt was a total rip-off of "This One's For The Girls" by Martina McBride. And next week Miley Cyrus will be performing "The Climb", which I think is such a beautiful song. And one of my teachers heard it somewhere on TV and she said she liked the message it gave. She didn't know who sang it, but she said the lyrics and I immediately identified it as Miley's song.

Speaking of Miley, the Hannah Montana movie came out yesterday. My sister, a huge fan of the show, is begging to go see it. She reminded my parents every day that it came out Friday. So I'm guessing they'll prolly take her to see it. I am planning on attending my old high school's spring musical tomorrow night. This year they are performing "Evita", another one I've heard of, but never seen. AI season 7 alum Brooke White sang one of the songs from the Evita movie on Idol the week they performed songs of Andrew Lloyd Weber, who wrote "Evita". Brooke is coming out with her own CD, "High Hopes and Heartbreak", this June on her birthday. I will be buying it for sure, and then I will give a review once I get it.

This Sunday is Easter. I don't think my family's doing much. Prolly just hanging out and eating chocolate.

That's all I have on my mind today.....I will try to update this blog more often!

    Hasta.

I thought I'd make a blog telling everyone happy heart day!

I'm just watching iCarly. It's my favorite episode, the one about first kisses. Freddie reveals he's never kissed a girl.

It's made me think a lot. I've never had a real first kiss. I have only had one boyfriend. We never kissed on the lips, so those don't count, and I never really liked him. I got kissed on the top of the head by a guy at camp, but I never really liked him. I also got kissed at the county fair by a guy, in front of my then-7-year-old sister. That was really awkward (and next time I see him we will be having a little talk about that) and I never really liked him.

So I haven't had my first kiss yet. I have been kinda hoping that'd be happen sometime soon. I have a guy I'm interested in, and I think he likes me too (and he let me kiss him on the cheek). We haven't even come close to kissing, but I hope we do.

I'm trying not to get too worked up about it. I want it to be special. Like maybe by a window at school or something.

If you have any thoughts, post back!

    Hasta.

Tonight is "Crush Night" on Nickelodeon, hosted by Miranda Cosgrove and my angel, the one, and only, David James Archuleta!

He's gonna be performing his hit, nearly double-platinum single, "Crush". That song is the story of my life. Cuz I have 3 big crushes. Two of them are completely unaware and I am afraid to tell them how I feel. One of them knows, but the thing is, he like me too. I think we are going to be together.

I've been singing that song in my room, quietly, cuz that song is truly the story of my life. It's truly beautiful and truly a great song. And it's sold 1,500,000 copies so far! And his CD, just barely over 2 months after its release, has been certified Gold!

David's song is truly a beautiful story. It's asking if your feelings are real, or just a crush. That's how I feel about all 3 of my crushes. I'm asking myself if my feelings are love, or just a crush. I am not sure yet. I will keep you posted!

-Lol, my friend Juliana made a video with her sister telling everyone to download David's new single. If you wanna watch it:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pttDGCPCo2Y&feature=channel_page

Now, if you don't wanna buy the single, you don't have to, but it'll just make me happy. Just watch the video for your entertainment. And as much as I hate the song "Paper Planes", this is a good parody. Juliana's the one that looks like JoJo.

Not too much has been going on in my life. My mom and I have the house to ourselves today and tomorrow. I don't think we're gonna do much, just hang at home, watch some TV.....the good life.

My Arch Angels are my "Friday Nite Girls" (even when it's not Friday). We just get together (virtually) on archuletafans.com, and talk about David, other artists, love, life and everything. I love these girls, and whenever someone needs a helping hand or advice, another Angel will be there to help!

I'm copying Spartan's idea and listing my favorite songs of this year, since it's now 2009.

    10. "Bleeding Love" Leona Lewis. This song was one of the anthems of my life this year. I met this guy that I truly fell head-over-heels for, and all of my classmates thought I was crazy. But like the song says "I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you".

    9. "Hello" Julianne Hough. This song is catchy and edgy and I love it. It's great to sing for a crowd, which I do plan on doing eventually.

    8. "15 Minutes of Shame" Kristy Lee Cook. This song describes the one love I had that took advantage of me. I have actually done what the song says: "spill the beans, shout it out". And I truly hope that my ex enjoys his "15 Minutes of Shame".

    7. "All-American Girl" Carrie Underwood. I feel as if the song was written just for me, because the song mirrors my life pretty well. But instead of a football star, I fell for a actor/singer/saxophonist/drum major. That love fizzled out, but we are still great friends.

    6. "Crush" David Archuleta. This song goes without saying. This song was my baby's first single (and has so far sold 1.04 million copies), and it describes my life, as I have the biggest crush in the world on my close friend/former co-worker Chris. Everyone at Wal-Mart knew how much I liked him, except for him. And I still don't think he knows.

    5. "Gives You Hell" All-American Rejects. This song is the first single off my favorite band's 3rd album, and it's an amazing song. It's catchy with a bit of an edge, and it's just a lot of mall-rock, which I love.

    4. "Decode" Paramore. This song was the theme song of the movie version of "Twilight" (which is amazing, if it's still playing, go see it) and I love it so much. Kinda edgy but still timeless.

    3. "Touch My Hand" David Archuleta. This song is a temporary love ballad to the girl in the front row. I plan on singing this for a crowd someday and dedicating it to some guy that I find.

    2. "Shake It" Metro Station. This song is the story of my life: the underlying message of the lyrics is about falling in love, and that's what I am doing. I am falling in love with aforementioned crush.

    1. "A Little Too Not Over You" David Archuleta. This song is truly beautiful and has brought me to tears a few times. It describes how someone feels after someone has just broken up with their significant other and how they're not over it yet. I haven't experienced that in a long time, but I can relate. This is Archie's new single, and I love it.

    So there you go.

This blog is pretty self-explanitory: this is what I got and bought for Christmas. This is what I got as presents:

    *a new bathrobe
    *a Juicy Couture knockoff purse
*a "super loud" alarm clock (I have trouble waking up in the morning)
*a big pink stuffed unicorn that I named Carly, after iCarly
    *chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate
    *2 sweaters
    *a shirt
    *new jeans
    *$215 total in money

And here's what I bought with my Christmas money (so far, I still have more to spend)

*10 pairs of plain white socks
    *2 pairs of Valentine-y socks
    *6 pairs of underwear
    *"Mamma Mia!" on DVD
    *$25 iTunes card
    *"Twilight" soundtrack
    *J-14 magazine
    *"The House Bunny" on DVD
*3 journals that I named Alyssa, Melanie and Ava
    *a Taylor Swift doll

And I still have several more places to shop!

Yesterday was David Archuleta's birthday. To celebrate, my grandma and I went to see "Marley and Me" in theaters (a word of advice, bring Kleenex, you'll need it towards the end), then went to Wal-Mart (she had to return something and we needed some groceries, plus I got some stuff), and then we went to McDonald's for dinner. Then we stayed in the rest of the night, I played computer solitare and my grandma watched TV, then I listened to his CD before I went to bed.

I'm staying with my grandma for a few days and then heading home sometime next week. And then I go back to school January 12th. Should be pretty cool

I turned 19 November 29th. To celebrate on here, I am going to review a new CD I bought: Katy Perry's debut album, "One Of the Boys". The tracks are listed in the order the appear in on the CD, with my ranking of 1-5 stars.

    1. "One Of the Boys" :: 4 stars :: a rock-edged, catchy title track. A great start to the album.

    2. "I Kissed a Girl" :: 5 stars :: everyone knows this song. This is Katy Perry's biggest hit to date, and it is nominated for "Favorite Female Pop Vocal Performance" at the Grammys, plus you can do the Paso Doble to it. I love this song.

    3. "Waking Up in Vegas" :: 4 stars :: my title's a lyric from this song. A great song about a one-night stand.

    4. "Thinking of You" :: 5 stars :: one of the softer tracks on the CD. I wouldn't expect Katy Perry to do a ballad, but I love it!

    5. "Mannequin" :: 4.5 stars :: this is a great song about being fake on the outside. I love Katy Perry's girl-power songs.

    6. "Ur So Gay :: 3 stars :: this was Katy's first single, and it's not that good. It's insulting gay people. And all people should be treated equal.

    7. "Hot n' Cold" :: 3.5 stars :: this is Katy's current single, and it's annoying. And it's not about anything.

    8. "If You Can Afford Me" :: 4 stars :: this is a good song for all the boys out there, telling them to treat their girls right.

    9. "Lost" :: 4 stars :: I wasn't sure about this song, but I like it! Different-sounding.

    10. "Self-Inflicted" :: 4.5 stars :: this is the kind of music I like: pop-rock with a bit of an edge.

    11. "I'm Still Breathing" :: 4 stars :: kind of a sad song, but still good.

    12. "Fingerprints" :: 4.5 stars :: a great song to end the album. Bratty and edgy.

The only tracks I'll prolly end up skipping over are #6 and #7. My final rating is 4.6/5 stars.

Grammy nominations are up. The Jonas Brothers are up for Best New Artist, and that's who I want to win the award. Their music is amazing and they're also good role models.

I bought the most amazing CD ever on Friday, and have decided to review it. The CD is David Archuleta's debut album (self-titled), which came out on Tuesday. I've already listened to the CD twice in one weekend.

    1. "Crush" :: 5 stars :: everyone knows this song, and it's a great song. The video is the cutest thing I have seen in a while. This is David's first hit, and it's very close to being platinum (sold 920,000 copies). I wonder how he'll react when he finds out it's platinum?

    2. "Touch My Hand" :: 5 stars :: a cute party-starter dedicated to the girl in the front row. This song is going to be the second single released from the album, and it will be sent to radio December 9th. I can't wait to hear it on my favorite station!

    3. "Barriers" :: 5 stars :: kind of a sad song about a relationship going downhill. My eyes get a tad watery when I listen to it, but I love it.

    4. "My Hands" :: 5 stars :: cute, cute, cute! When I heard he was going to have a song called "My Hands" I wondered what it would be about. But now that I've listened to it, I love it.

    5. "A Little Too Not Over You" :: 5 stars :: another beautiful song. My title's a lyric from this song. Reminds me of my sophomore year at the beginning when I was "a little too not over" my ex. I'm so over him now and have moved on to liking 2 guys at the same time.

    6. "You Can" :: 5 stars :: such a pretty song about falling in love. Reminds me of the aforementioned 2 guys I have fallen for.

    7. "Running" :: 5 stars :: one of the upbeat songs in the bunch, and it's catchy.

    8. "Desperate" :: 5 stars :: this is a cover of a song by some German band that one of the Arch Angels told me about, and I think David does a great job of singing it.

    9. "To Be With You" :: 5 stars :: a pretty song co-written by Kara DioGuardi, the new Idol judge, who also provides backup vocals. Reminds me of my long-distance love, Bryan. I love him and I know he's thinking about me.

    10. "Don't Let Go" :: 5 stars :: a song David co-wrote with former NSYNC star JC Chasez. One of the few upbeat songs in the bunch, and I think it's a hit in the making.

    11. "Your Eyes Don't Lie" :: 4 stars :: the only song that I don't like as much as the others. The music just doesn't seem right for my little David.

    12. "Angels" :: 5 stars :: the other cover on the album. He sang this song on Idol, and now his version is the only version of that song I can listen to. He also plays the piano for this song. I bet it will be a hit for him.

    13. "Works For Me!" (Wal-Mart bonus track):: 5 stars :: David co-wrote this song with Daniel Bedingfield, Natasha's brother. I love the song cuz it's catchy and fun.

I am in love with this CD and can't wait for the second CD from my angel! The final rating is 10 million stars!!!!!!

-I love this song! I just requested it for my favorite station.

I chose it as my title because my life right now is a love story writing itself. I have always had a huge crush on my favorite radio DJ, Chris, despite the fact that he just turned 27 and I will be 19 at the end of the month. I don't think he knows my name (he might because I won a contest one night during his show), but he should know my voice, cuz I call in practically every night to request a song. One night I called in to request my song, Crush, and he and I had a great conversation about David Archuleta and he put me on the air. The very first person I told was my best friend Emily cuz she was talking to me as it happened. I got all excited and she did too, partly cuz I briefly mentioned her.

And sometimes I call in to make requests cuz something happened to either me or Emily and we needed to hear one of our songs.

And for the past few nights over the last 2 weeks, I call in and make a request for a song, and shortly after I get off the phone with Chris he plays the song I requested. Coincidence? Fate? I don't know what it is, but I somehow feel that Chris and I are meant to be. Tomorrow he is going to be in the next town over from me to promote the opening of this new store, and I am going to go to it, just so I can finally meet Chris face-to-face. I am going to hopefully meet him and get a hug from him, since I've always been a huge fan of his radio show. The first time I called in to request a song I told him I loved his show, and he said thanks for listening. I was really excited. I still remember the conversation that he and I had that one night about David Archuleta that was on the air:

Me: Hey Chris, I have a request for you.
    Chris: All right, what's up?
Me: I wanna hear "Crush" by David Archuleta.
Chris: You and every other woman in the world who will never get sick of that song.
Me: My best friend Emily and I love it.
Chris: Now is it the song or is it him?
    Me: it's both.
Chris: What can you possibly see in that guy? He's kind of a goofy-looking kid.
Me: *shocked, offended gasp* I take offense to that!
Chris: What-what? *to other person in the room* don't you think he's goofy-looking? David Archuleta.
    Erica: Yes.
    Chris: Erica thinks he's goofy-looking.
Me: Aww, I think he looks cute.
Chris: Aww! Oh, all right, I'll play the cute song from David Archuleta.
    Me: thank you so much.
    Chris: You're welcome.
    Me: Bye.

Then I told Emily and she said "DAVID IS NOT GOOFY-LOOKING!" And then I posted it on his fansite and all the other girls were all "How dare he say that!" and thought it was cool that he put me on the air.

One of my other favorite songs is on the radio right now...."Gives You Hell" by the All-American Rejects. I love those guys.

I decided that it was time to review a CD. Since I still haven't seen HSM3, I can't review that CD yet cuz I wanna see how the songs go together with the story. So I flipped a coin twice to determine which of my 3 remaining CDs to review, and Jessica Simpson's latest CD, "Do You Know", won. I get paid this week, so I will be adding 2 new CDs to my collection (well 3 cuz I'm getting 2 different copies of one CD): David Archuleta's debut CD (two copies of that) and Taylor Swift's sophomore album. David's review will come first as he's more important.

But for now, here's a review of Jessica Simpson's new CD:

    1. "Come On Over" :: 4.5 stars :: A great song to kick off the album. Flirty with a bit of an edge.
    2. "Remember That" :: 4 stars :: this is a sad song, but really beautiful.
    3. "Pray Out Loud" :: 4.5 stars :: an inspirational song! Pretty and uplifting.
    4. "You're My Sunday" :: 4 stars :: really pretty and nice, although sad.
    5. "Sipping on History" :: 4 stars :: slightly faster-paced, although still slow enough to be a ballad. Good song.
    6. "Still Beautiful" :: 5 stars :: another inspirational song. Prolly my favorite track on the album.
    7. "Still Don't Stop Me" :: 4.5 stars :: A good song about trying to let go of a love that hurt you.
    8. "When I Loved You Like That" :: 4 stars :: another good song about a love you just can't figure out.
    9. "Might As Well Be Making Love" :: 4.5 stars :: I will admit the title threw me off a bit, but it doesn't stop the quality of the song. It's beautiful.
    10. "Man Enough" :: 4 stars :: one of the few upbeat songs on the album, and it's pretty good.
    11. "Do You Know" featuring Dolly Parton :: 4.5 stars :: a good song to end the album. Nice and medium-paced, and Dolly adds a nice bit to it.

Overall, this is a different Jessica Simpson than the one I'm used to, but still a great CD. A total of 4.8 stars altogether.

I meant to write a blog on Halloween but forgot. So I'll do it now.

My Halloween was pretty uneventful. I had to work, but we're allowed to dress up at work. I dressed up as Sharpay Evans from HSM, and got many questions on who I was supposed to be. I actually wrote down all the different possibilities:

    Anna Nicole Smith
    Hannah Montana
    Britney Spears
    Paris Hilton
    Elle Woods from "Legally Blonde"
"just a hot blonde" (from my close friend Charlotte)

I saw many people who dressed up. Whether they were my co-workers or customers. Here's what I remember:
    2 vampires
    Target employees
    2 Jokers
    A bunny
    Alice in Wonderland
Jack Skellington from "A Nightmare Before Christmas"
A slutty Catholic schoolgirl (my friend Melody, the only person who actually correctly identified my costume)
    A mouse
    an Army girl
    A fireman

and that's all I remember. We had an associate costume contest where we vote on our favorite costume. I voted for one of my co-workers who dressed up as The Joker. Since the Joker is the ONE clown I am not afraid of, and he's my favorite villain.

I think next year I'm going to be Cyndi Lauper for Halloween. I have a black dress, and I'll get netted gloves with no fingers, striped socks and I'll do my hair all crazy and 80's. And I'll wear my black Converse high tops and a bunch of bangle bracelets and hoop earrings. It'll be fun.

My sister was Supergirl for Halloween and my brother was Lightning McQueen from Cars (again).

Another time you got to wear costumes was my school's Film Festival. I only wore costumes my junior and senior years. Junior year I was Baby from "Dirty Dancing" and senior year I was Sandy from "Grease" in the final scene. That was always a fun time. They also had a costume contest. The girl who won last year made her dress entirely out of Skittles wrappers. I voted for my friends Adam and Rachel who dressed up as Juno and Bleeker. I thought that would be fun to do too. I'd just need someone to be Bleeker.

That's everything going on in my life. 8 more days til David's CD!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I got paid, so I did some shopping. I got 3 new CDs (and ordered a 4th off amazon.com): The soundtrack to "High School Musical 3", Jessica Simpson's country debut "Do You Know" (the only Simpson sister CD I didn't have on my iPod or in my possession), and Demi Lovato's debut album "Don't Forget". And I ordered Kristin Chenoweth's CD "As I Am" off amazon.

I already listened to the HSM3 soundtrack, but will review it after I see the movie and see how the songs fit into the story. Yeah.

Reviews of Demi, Jessica and Kellie Pickler's CDs will come too. And of course, my baby, David Archuleta. His CD comes out in one week and 4 days. I have been waiting since the end of May for that day to come! I get paid that week so when I go shopping, it will be one of the first CDs I get. I have heard clips of some of the tracks, plus have his debut single, "Crush" on my iPod Oh my gosh, they are ah-ma-zing!!!!!

On a side note, I would like to congratulate the Philadelphia Phillies on their first World Series win since 1980. I was pulling for them against the normally-worst-team in the American League, the Tampa Bay Rays. I couldn't root for the Rays because they beat my Red Sox in the ALCS. And a lot of people from my hometown were hoping for an all-Chicago World Series (Cubs and White Sox), but I know for a fact that that isn't happening for another 100 years (literally). If that did happen I would root for the White Sox (for a Midwest team I like them and the St. Louis Cardinals).

Tomorrow (well technically today since it's 12:01 am in Iowa) is Halloween. I'm working, but at my work we're allowed to dress up. I'm dressing up as Sharpay Evans, the snob prima donna of the HSM series. I have a long blonde Ashley Tisdale style wig, a pink and white top, big, round white sunglasses and khakis and sneakers. And I bought some Sharpay earrings when I went shopping today.

Well I'm gonna get some shuteye....I will talk to y'all soon!

    Watch this video:

that's my favorite song this week, and the next song I'm gonna work on with my voice teacher. Kristin Chenoweth is amazing....my favorite actress! And she is an amazing singer. I love her so much!

So last week, I got paid. I got 4 new CDs, and I'm going to review one of them right now: Metro Station's debut album (self-titled).

    1. "Seventeen Forever" :: 4 stars :: My best friend Emily loves this song, and I can see why! It's a great song, and it's gonna be the next single off the album. A great song to kick off the album.

    2. "Control" :: 3.5 stars :: starts out strange, but gets better as it goes along.

    3. "Kelsey" :: 4.5 stars :: I ought to play this song for my friend Kelsey, since it has her name in it! Really pretty.

    4. "Shake It" :: 5 stars :: Everyone knows this song. I actually requested it for my favorite station last night, and they played it, and then they played "Crush" right after it. It's a sign that I'm in love, lol. This song is amazing, and you can Jive to it. It is, so far, Metro Station's only certified single (Platinum).

    5. "Wish We Were Older" :: 4 stars :: got a catchy beat.

    6. "Now That We're Done" :: 4.5 stars :: Pretty and catchy.

    7. "True to Me" :: 4.5 stars :: a little more rock-oriented, and I like it like that.

    8. "Tell Me What To Do" :: 4 stars :: catchy and fun.

    9. "California" :: 4 stars :: combines old style with new style, and it's unique and different.

    10. "Disco" :: 4.5 stars :: a great, danceable, catchy end to the album.

I think the only track I'd end up skipping over is the second one. So with many great tracks to dance and rock out to, this CD is a total of 5/5 stars!

The Philadelphia Phillies are leading the World Series right now. Game 2 is tonight at Tropicana Field. GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hasta.

  • 16Oct 08

I got paid 2 weeks ago, and got 2 CDs....one of which I already reviewed. Now it's time to review the second one: Jesse McCartney's latest release, "Departure".

    1. "Leavin'":: 5 + stars :: Everyone knows this song, and it's perfect. He sang it on Dancing With the Stars, and it was #1 in America for awhile, before being de-throned by "Forever" by Chris Brown. "Leavin'" is one of my songs of the moment.

    2. "It's Over" :: 4.5 stars :: his current hit. This is a pretty song.

    3. "Rock You" featuring Sean Garrett :: 3.5 stars :: I would have never expected for J-Mac to do a song like this, but regardless, it's good.

    4. "How Do You Sleep" :: 4 stars :: Such a nice song. Sure to be a hit!

    5. "Into Ya" :: 3 stars :: kinda weird....too weird.

    6. "Makeup" :: 3 stars :: also weird, but oddly catchy.

    7. "My Baby" :: 4 stars :: so sweet and pretty! That's the J-Mac I know.

    8. "Told You So" :: 4.5 stars :: a beautiful arrangement and song!

    9. "Relapse" :: 3 stars :: weird, weird, WEIRD! That pretty much sums it up.

    10. "Runnin'" :: 4 stars :: another pretty song. Another sure-to-be-a-hit song!

    11. "Freaky" :: 3.5 stars :: pretty good, but not as good as the others.

    12. "Not Your Enemy" :: 4 stars :: a great end to the CD! Sweet and pretty.

I've always been a J-Mac fan since his Dream Street days, and this CD is another great piece of work from him! Definitely getting 5/5 stars altogether.

I got 3 new CDs today, but will only be reviewing 2 of them. I got Kellie Pickler's new CD, and Metro Station's debut album. I also got Katharine McPhee's CD but since it was an older release, I feel that it doesn't need to be reviewed. When her new CD comes out I will review that.

-That's my song! I'll give you 3 guesses on who it's by, and the first 2 don't count. And I had to use this song again cuz it kinda describes my life right now.

For the past 2.5 weeks, my best friend Emily and I have had a never-ending conversation on facebook about the loves of our lives. She likes a guy she met through the same website where we met, and I like 2 guys.

The first one is a co-worker of mine, Christian. He's so sweet and nice and kind and polite and funny and cute and everything in between. We finally went out on a date a couple of weeks ago and it was nice. We had fun. And I think he likes me too. I showed Emmy a picture of him and she said he was very cute.

The second is a guy I met through blogtv.com (a webcamming site), Bryan. I randomly was browsing through the live shows one night and I came across Bryan's page and decided to talk to him cuz I thought he was hot. And we gradually got to know each other over the next 2 nights and I started falling for him. He's so nice and funny and hot.

Emily is my best friend/sister that I never had. She understands my confusion cuz she is going through the same thing.

Yeah just thought I'd tell you guys that. yeah.

    Hasta.

I got 2 new CDs last week, cuz I got paid. One of them is the one I'm going to review, "Good Girl Gone Bad" by Rihanna.

    1. "Umbrella" featuring Jay-Z :: 3.5 stars :: a good start. It's kinda catchy, and I remember singing it one night with the girls in "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum".

    2. "Push Up On Me":: 4 stars :: got a cool beat and it's interesting.

    3. "Don't Stop the Music" :: 5 stars :: one of my favorite tracks on the CD. It's easy to dance to (and Kristi Yamaguchi did the cha-cha to it on Dancing With the Stars) and it's a great song to play at a dance.

    4. "Breakin' Dishes" :: 3 stars :: one of the lesser tracks on the CD. Kinda weird.

    5. "Shut Up and Drive" :: 5 + stars :: the best track on the album, hands down. I'm making up a cha-cha to that song (and that's the song Shannon Elizabeth did her cha-cha to on Dancing With the Stars). It's sexy and flirty, just like the cha-cha.

    6. "Hate That I Love You" featuring Ne-Yo :: 4 stars :: it's pretty and sweet.

    7. "Say It" :: 3 stars :: kinda weird, but cool.

8 "Sell Me Candy" :: 3.5 stars :: interesting lyrics. Kinda cool.

    9. "Lemme Hear That" :: 3.5 stars :: interesting, again, and sorta cool.

    10. "Rehab" :: 4 stars :: I don't know if this is a cover of the Amy Winehouse song, but I like it.

    11. "Question Existing" :: 3 stars :: weird. That's all I have to say.

    12. "Good Girl Gone Bad" :: 4 stars :: the title track, and it's pretty good.

    13. "Disturbia" :: 4.5 stars :: her current hit. I've always got the "bum-bum-be-dum-bum-bum-be-dum-bum" stuck in my head, cuz it's catchy. Even tho the message is dark, I still think it's good.

    14. "Take a Bow" :: 5 stars :: I didn't realize she sang this song until I heard it on the CD. I had heard it on the radio but didn't know who sang it. I really like the song. And now I know who sings it!

    15. "If I Never See Your Face Again" featuring Maroon 5 :: 5 stars :: Maroon 5 sang this without Rihanna on American Idol, and I liked the song a lot. I had the single before I had Rihanna's CD, and I listen to it sometimes. A great end to the album.

With so many great tracks to listen to over and over, with a few exceptions, I'm gonna give this CD 4.75/5 stars altogether.

    Hasta.
